Such delicious sweet beignets. The beignets were fresh, hot and fluffy. The coffee was also absolutely delicious. It is a must stop spot in NOLA. There are few locations but we glad we choose this one. Not too busy or crowded. Service is great and fast. Ordering is easy. The place is clean and comfortable. Plenty of seating is available. The park and greenery around is so beautiful and many scenic places to see.
Delicious sweet beignets and yummy coffee! It is a must stop and try spot while in NOLA. This is their second location and I am glad we choose this one.It is not that crowded like in the Jackson Square and customer service is super nice and quick. This location has a fine restroom and outdoor and indoor seating area. Prices are moderate but the quality so worth it!
New experience for me. They are tasty little things but kinda messy! Grabbed a box of mix; well try them when we get home.
Honestly, the place is over hyped. I went to the one in City Park so it was only 10 minutes or so to get through the line(BONUS). Its a fairly cheap tourist trap so it is still worth it if youre not waiting for half an hour or hour. The staff is very very friendly. I wish I could get this coffee taste out of my mouth.
This place is out of control!! While standing next to my table eating a funnel cake (beignet) an employee approached me telling me to put my mask on. I politely told him while holding my coffee, my funnel cake and with powdered sugar all over my lips and shirt (I’m eating and drinking) After third time of politely telling him I’m eating and drinking I hade to rudely tell him to leave me alone 3 times! This place is one of those places that has us pushing their own agenda ref Covid.
We visited this location aft. our paddleboat ride around the lake around 10 pm...everything was fresh & the had decaf on the menu. Nice place.
I had an interesting experience, the mayor of New Orleans and says that you have to have a covid identification or negative test to get inside, I had the latter, and a manager rushes over to the man admitting me and said oh shes one of those and he said yes, we know for sure that she doesnt have covid but the people that have been vaccinated we dont know for sure...
This park was stunning! Lush scenery and so many trails, playgrounds, picnic areas!! So much to see and do here! Baseball areas, soccer fields, Story Land was amazing! I totally wish we had something as gorgeous as this park back in my part of Texas! My son and I both agree, we’re definitely coming back here one day. There is so much to see and do! I fell in love with this park!
Highly recommend this location. Same old, classic beignets, but way less busier and crowded than the French Quarter location. Plenty of free parking too! In addition, you get to enjoy your beignets while admiring the greenery around you.
Great service ... They should serve food along with beignets ⚜👍🏽
The mocha was unbearably sweet, and pre-made so they could not make it any less sweet.Everything is served in what looks like dollar tree cups.Freshly squeezed orange juice is actually from a jug: false advertisement. The workers are nice, nothing to say about them. Just the quality of the product is mediocre and I wish the managers/owners would put quality to the forefront, saying they took out Morning Call which had higher quality product and saying they are in a prime location. They could do better.
Wonderful staff and wonderful beignets. A local suggested we go here for less of a crowd and the same food so we did and loved it. Seemed super peaceful only a few people there. My son loved that the park was right there as well so he could run around while we enjoyed the food!
I brought my niece here while hanging out in City Park one morning. The actual building/set up is nice and there’s a lot of socially distant outdoor seating. There’s something about the original Cafe du Monde that the other locations can’t duplicate. The beignets just don’t taste the same. As I was eating my big, doughy beignets, all I could think about was how much I miss Morning Call! The 3 big beignets were crammed in a tiny bag and I couldn’t get the powdered sugar to distribute properly. I love City Park but will pass on this Cafe du Monde location.
A friend and I went on the famous City and Cemetery Bus Tour, and this is one of the stops we made. It is a gorgeous location and I hope to be back here again in the future! The coffee and beignets at Cafe Du Monde are truly something else, now that I am home I wish I could go back and have them one more time.I highly recommend this cute little cafe!
Its a little quieter up here than down by the french quarter. There may be better beignets but Cafe DuMonde is still something that you have to go to. Its a classic for a reason. Still delicious and the iced coffee was very good.
Loved this quite spot. Right in the park. Lots of seating. Perfer this location over the French quarters.
The beignets were so fresh and fluffy with plentiful amounts of powdered sugar. The frozen coffee was so amazing and flavorful while keeping you cool during the hotter days. Amazing view to enjoy a New Orleans classic.
Its basically a Cafe Du Monde location in New Orleans City Park. I think this one is actually less crowded on average than the main one in the French Quarter, and its the same beignets and coffee.
Nice place, friendly service clean open and comfortable environment. However, I didnt enjoy the beignets, they just didnt live up the hype. I imagined hot fresh silky smooth melt in your mouth beignets, I eat 1 and tossed the rest. The coffee drinks were good and enjoy that. Boy that gift shop had some cute tourist stuff but the prices were Ridiculously high. All in all, I wouldnt recommend or return.
This place really lives up to the hype. You are a fool to visit Nola and NOT stop at Cafe Du Monde. The service was fast and the goodies were fresh. Im still dreaming about powdered sugar.
Love this location because it is 5 minutes from my house and I dont have to deal with that French Quarter traffic
This was a great stop! Right in the middle of the beautiful City Park. No lines. Clean restrooms. Even great souvenir options (more than in the French Quarter). Basically a quieter, more picturesque location.
This is a great spot to meet for a first date before a stroll in the park. You might just find true love, or at a minimum youll enjoy a giant iced mocha (seriously, their large is massive).
So happy to have a frozen cafe au lait and some beignets in this gorgeous green space.
This Cafe Du Monde is located in a great place, City Park. A park with beautiful old growth trees - centuries old. The building was neat with interesting architecture. The wait is shorter at this location, and for this reason alone, I fully recommend it over any French Quarter location. On the beignets, a cross between a donut and a bagel. Not as sweet as a donut and not as chewy as a bagel. The coffee is good.Final thoughts: Would I wait in line for a block for one of these? No, I would not. Good to try, yes. I rate this particular location in City Park four stars for location and coffee. The beignets themselves: Three stars for being neutral - neither bad or good, middle of the road.
Gotta get beniets whenever in New Orleans area and Cafe du Monde has the best! Been a part of my life for over 60 years!
Came here while taking a bus tour of the city. Lines were long, which was expected, but it moved quickly. It can be confusing figuring out which line to get in so it would be better if they use signage to indicate order lines and pickup lines.
Coffee was right on point and the beignets were ok. They main thing is they were fast with the order and the cafe au lait was HOT.
Delicious coffee and beignets ! Great atmosphere
Perfect place for a snack and drink while in City Park. But if youre coming to NOLA for the 1st time, it simply is not the same as the original in the French Quarter. Please do yourselves the favour of making the pilgrimage and have the real experience! You can also watch them make the beignets through a window behind the store. Tons of fun for the kids...or it was for me when I was a kid, fwiw...
Good coffee and beignets. Got cheap souvenir mugs.
Coffee and food taste really good... no complaints on that, but the customer service is the worst I have experienced in New Orleans. Be ready for some rude answers and people unwilling to give the extra mile with simple actions!
Family got coffee (kid Sprite) and Beignets. Fresh and was a good location. Good place for kids to play, walking, pond with paddle swans. There are ducks, Canadian Geese and squirrels to watch and feed.
So glad that Cafe Du Monde is connected with City Park now. However, I understand that it gets truly busy, but the restrooms were or have been dirty. Every toilet has deposits inside (which I voluntarily flushed). It looked as if it sat for some time, paper on the floor and sinks with paper inside. It is just mindful to keep a check on the restrooms to keep germs and sicknesses away.
Best beignets in New Orleans and the city park is lovely
I used to go here frequently but not anymore.Today, the employee checking COVID-19 vaccination cards wasnt wearing her mask, and the manager told me she doesnt have to because shes outside. You dont even have to wear yours. Thats true, but unprofessional.I was wearing my mask and I think Cafe Du Mondes employees should too. I wont go back until they address this issue.
No lines and the park was magnificent
The best one in town. Great quality and service was fast and friendly. It helps out that theres 2 cash registers, bathrooms were clean and no complains. Delicious food at this place!
Big open spaces, clean bathrooms & good Food.
It’s been about two decades since my wife and I have had a beignet and coffee in New Orleans. Today we had the privilege of returning to New Orleans to enjoy a beignet with our daughter. We all loved the taste and quality of the product, and look forward to returning soon with our son. Highly recommend!
Great beignets and coffee. Nice and clean. Fun place to stop after a hot day spent in Citt Park.
Great experience of New Orleans. Service was great.
Wonderful! Cant wait to go back! Most of the people were friendly and the Cafe au lat was very good. And of course the beignets were incredible!
Famous for a reason....the coffee is mind blowing. If youre a sugar lover like me, I would recommend the iced or frozen coffee. The beignets tasted like the best funnel cake Ive ever had...but you might need to bring a seafood boil bib to eat them🤣
Ive eaten at two since Ive been in the city. Each a little different.
Beignets were good. My husband and I shared one portion which was definitely enough. We had the frozen latte and frozen mocha. He liked his mocha, but for me the latte was too sweet. It tasted like they add a lot of sugar.
Quality of food is far superior to the French Quarter location, and the location is just amazing! Visits the French Quarter of course, but for Cafe du Monde go to city park!
I loved this location even more than the one near the french quarter. The service was wonderful, the setting very friendly and it has a country club type of feel
Awesome! The Cafe du monde experience without dealing with the French quarter crowds. Yummy hot beignets
