It was my 1st time visiting New Orleans and we walked by the shop and luckily stopped in. The woman working there was so helpful, nice and dedicated to us having a great experience. There were so many cute custom clothes, jewelry and shoes. Everything was reasonably priced. Overall great atmosphere great clothes and amazing service. I would highly recommend.

My friend and I visited New Orleans recently, and I had been telling her about trying to find a goth/alternative boutique in the French Quarter, since I am of the opinion that those are always around (and thanks goodness for that, it makes my goth little heart happy), and shortly after we came upon the beauty that is Road Kill. The store carries a wide variety of alternative, retro and gothic brands and everything is displayed so beautifully.I ended up purchasing a Hell Bunny dress I had been lusting after and I am grateful the staff allowed me to try it on.The people who work there are kind, professional and very helpful.

Road Kill boutique is officially my favorite shop in New Orleans. The company is warm and the people are amazing. Everyone working in the shop is totally down to earth and willing to help out at the drop of a dime. The hip atmosphere and outstanding handmade garments. Well have you jumping with Glee. All in all Road Kill and its sister store Toxic are a must see if youre in the New Orleans area.

Road Kill saved my New Years! My jacket I owned didnt work, I rushed over to Road Kill 30 minutes to closing time on New Years Eve expecting them to be closed or not in a great mood with me coming that close to closing and it was further from the truth. The 2 people working, sorry I forgot your names, were the absolute best! Super helpful, went out of their way to make me look good at a great price. They have alot of stuff Ive never seen before, The store is awesome, everything you can imagine, my only regret was I came near close and could look more. I had so many complaints on my outfit, THANK YOU GUYS!!You are my first store I stop at in New Orleans every time I stop from now on.And anyone in the area you have to stop for all your costume needs! You wont be disappointed. This is The Top Stop in NOLA for me!

Super glad I went into this store!! Where I’m from I unfortunately don’t see many stores like this, so as a first experience it was great! The employees were really nice and the lady inside helped me get fitted into a corset. Definitely a good place to stop at if you’re into gothic/alternative style apparel.

Allllllways friendly service. Great place to shop and see all the unique stuff they sell. Inventory changes everytime we visit. If you visited before, theres probably something different in there now. Always stopping by on every visit to NOLA.

This shop is not your run of the mill souvenir shop. They carry unusual and distinctive items. May be a little risque for some people but its New Orleans where the atmosphere is more relaxed and carefree. We enjoyed our visit, talked with the owners who are very hands on and really seem to enjoy meeting new people. We purchased a few things, reasonably priced and all quality items.

I never was able to stop inside here, but there was an angle I couldnt resist so here is a side shot of the store. Its entrance was to artistic to pass up.

This is a really cool little shop. The staff is friendly in a detached, aloof kind of way. The merchandise is pretty neat, lots of unique hand made pieces but a fair amount of more reasonably priced gear. Also they have a bunch of neat socks, which is always a selling point for me.

Found so many great dresses here. I cant wait to come back when Im in NOLA.

I’ve never written a review so please be nice lol! i came to their store today (visiting new orleans on an off day.) and there was a Pink Floyd song playing. so i yell over to my mom, “hey mom! they’re playing pink floyd!” and the guy at the front (i forgot to catch his name SMH) started talking to me about Pink Floyd. we went on and on and finally he came from the back with a pair of Pink Floyd socks! i looked all around the store and they weren’t anywhere in sight. i’m pretty sure he got them just for me. was it love at first sight or good customer service? i have no idea but it will definitely be a wonderful memory. thank you so so much to the man that was a dancer for a few Pink Floyd shows. i’ll remember you :)

LOVE this little boutique! In spite of the name, they sell really beautiful clothes and accessories. Viola was very friendly and helpful, (also from San Diego like me!) and help get me fitted for a corset. I got a black overbust steel boned corset from here. It was pricey but I had saved up for it and its worth every penny. Supportive and sturdy, I wear it as part of my tour guide costume.

Dont let the name scare you. Youll be surprised what you can find inside.

I love this store and adjoining gallery for their fun style. Youll find plenty of dressy pieces in the steampunk style and a great selection of shoes and hats. The mens selection is a little smaller than the womens. The staff is usually friendly but not overbearing. The prices are fairly reasonable, but the discount rack isnt really discounted much.

Coolest shop in NOLA. Quality merch. Not cheap tourist junk, but the real deal. If you ride motorcycles, you have to stop by. Goth, burlesque cool stuff. This is a must stop every time were in New Orleans.

While we were in NOLA, we always stop in to see their unique items. John the owner wasnt in when we were there. They didnt have many choices for leather bags nor silver rings for men. The place is still very cool.

Great place to find some amazing clothes for me and women. The corsets are reasonably prices and are definitely worth looking at. My wife found many items that she loved here.

I went in to buy the wild contacts, so the young employee had said that particular style would be $69, so in said i would come in the next day. So i did asked for the same contacts and the manager says now the price for those same style were now $350. So its confirmed that if they see you as a tourist or as a dummy they will milk for money.

I found 2 fantastic items here. A feather high collar and a great coat. The staff here were incredibly patient with helping me try things on and answering my questions. I highly recommend this place for cool looks, like steampunk, slightly goth and the like. Could probably find great stuff for cosplaying as well.

“Owner” with a beard who hides in the back is a bigot. Kicks you out for no reason other than because he doesn’t “want you in there anymore,” when asked why. You can buy all of the stuff they have in store directly from the seller online instead. Other reviews on Yelp and other places have stated mistreatment for not being white and straight. Save yourself the trouble and find a better experience on a trip to NOLA.

A little pricey but they have the coolest clothes and shoes. I guess the salespeople are on commission because they follow you around the store pushing every item you look at. Thats a big turnoff to me because I like to browse in peace. I am more likely to walk out of the store than buy something when I get this treatment. In fact, I usually get so unnerved by their constant hounding that I turn around and leave. Can someone please tell them its downright creepy to keep making the same selling point over and over.

The girl helping me find the right size corset and other clothing was extremely rude and unhelpful sighing and giving me dirty looks when I asked for another size. I purchased over 3000 worth of clothing from here in the past 6 months and had one problem with a pair if shoes being defective. The manager was extremely rude and dismissive as if I was stupid for thinking they would help me figure out how to fix the problem.If the clothing wasnt so one of a kind Id never have come back the second time. Wont be returing again.

Beware... cool store with a lousy policy for defective items. My wife bought some shoes, put them on before leaving the store to walk around and the sole fell apart from the shoe in about 4 hours of walking around in them. When we went back, they didnt have her size to exchange them, and refused to issue us a refund, saying they would only give store credit for another item, which we didnt want. They sold us a defective product and didnt make it right.

After stepping into this charming shop and looking around for a couple minutes, I made the HUGE mistake f taking out my phone to take a pic of some super cute shoes to show my daughter. Unfortunately, I was not a responsible customer to scan the store before hand, and didnt notice the NO PICTURES ALLOWED signs he has posted somewhere in his shop. My bad I guess...the owner yelled at my friend and me to GET THE F*%K out of his shop, NOW! I apologized and said I didnt see his notice, was looking at merchandise - and didnt want to ruin his day, he was visibly upset. He quipped that it wouldnt ruin his day at all and went on to rant about technology, photos, and lower prices elsewhere. It was a 1st for me, never been thrown out of anywhere in all of my 46 years. I just wanted to share his bizarre, rude and confrontational behavior with anyone who might accidentally pull a phone out in his shop. SMFH....

Rude!!! I got up early and rode my bike to the store when they were supposed to be open. I called about ten minutes after opening time to ask if they were opening soon and the owner was extremely nasty (using a sarcastic indignant tone of voice). She said she would be coming in an hour after opening time if even then. Looks like they just lost one of their local customers.... also their stuff is cheap, overpriced and falls apart. :P
