Santos did a great 👍 job on my A/C unit cold as hell in my SUV now.

While I did not bring my car here for service, I called in about an issue, and the receptionist was extremely helpful. She went out of her way to try to locate the part I needed somewhere locally. When the first option fell through, she followed up later in the afternoon with another option. I really appreciated her professionalism and kindness, in what was a very stressful moment for me.

I brought my vehicle to Santos on Thursday. They told me that it would be fixed by Monday. I picked it up on Tuesday untouched. I do admit they were busy. I ended up fixing my car myself. It was worth the learning experience. Thanks YouTube.

If they tell you that theyre backed up by two weeks, dont listen to them. Two weeks turned into two months for them to finally get to my car just to replace the ecm. Ridiculous. The lack of transparency and communication is why I feel like they only deserve one star. Oh and as soon as I left their shop, I started to experience problems again so they definitely didnt even fix my car completely either so I was basically stranded a mile away from their shop waiting six hours for a tow to come get me. Gave me an attitude and told me they only did what I told them to do and I shouldve got it diagonosed by them in the first place. Sorry I chose to take my vehicle to other experienced mechanics ahead of time because I couldnt afford to wait any longer for yall to do that as well. Now I know where to go and what to do next time. 👍.

My husband brought his vehicle over they had his vehicle for 3 months and than charged him for things they didn’t do. Also was supposed to fix the gas meter and it broke the next day brought it back they kept it for 2 days and still didn’t even look at the truck paid over 2500 and the only thing was done right was the air conditioning I would not recommend anyone to use this company . They also charged him 95 to turn the check engine light off and it also came back on the same day he got the truck back

I brought my car and they told me one price and when i went to pick it up it was 70 dollars more with no warning. Well i wouldnt pay it but i still wanded up paying 30 extra. They need to call if thetes a price change. The work was ok.

Got into a predicament when my 15-passenger van locked up while driving to Houston due to a broken wheel bearing and was towed to this location. The folks at Santos took care of this issue and I was so grateful for their honest and diligent work to make sure that it was taken care of within hours so that I could drive all the way home to Houston.

I went to Santos for an alignment after putting in new parts. They aligned my car promptly, and alerted me to a slow air leak in my front tire. The mechanic helper not only identified a small hole,, but also plugged it free. They give great service.

Recently someone I know had a few issues with the receptionist. She will quote you one price. Then when work is finish shes quoting a higher price. And saying she never quoted you the first quote. Then she gets a attitude. There prices are to high for some repairs. I say always shop around before going with these Automotive Center. And learn how to be more professional. Stop trying to rip people off.

I am from Illinois, took my car, told them it kept shutting off when take foot off gas, they said leave it. 2 days later they called said $620 to replace intake & exhaust solenoid. I guess because I’m a female & from out of town that I’d be desperate to get my car fixed they could try to overcharge me. So I said that’s a little much. The big lady at desk said it’ll also be $70 for looking at car & $75 for oil change it needs. I had gotten another estimate for same thing, another mechanic told me it was $350, but I needed a mechanic close to my Airbnb so I took it to santos &... so they will try to cheat you

I was recommended here. The people where really nice and respectful. HOWEVER when they changed the oil on my truck they put the WRONG OIL FILTER on it. Luckily I caught it a few days later. Just double check everything they do and keep them honest.

The only people I trust to do work on my vehicle. They have worked on every car in my family for over 15 years.

Brought in for a/c repair and didn’t set any type of time expectation other than they have a lot of cars and will get to it as soon as possible... 30 days later they finally finished my car and when picked up it still wasn’t fixed!! Then 30 days later it stopped working again and brought it back and has been there for another 2 days already!! This is the most unprofessional place I’ve ever seen in my entire life and I’ll never under any circumstances return back- even if they offered free service!! I need my car to make money and this whole experience has cost me the $1300 they charged me plus another 3k due to not being able to drive for a month!!! STAY AWAY DO NOT COME HERE !! Maybe at one time new Orleans would tell family and friends to come here ??but i say dont !!they had my car for over a month to say i need a new engine. Went in the trunk damage expensive equipment a when i reported it .there managing staff act as if nothing was wrong !#never again😭

They create problems on your car just to get money out your pocket every two days a day they coming call your phone talking about oh its 100 and something dollars for this part or is an extra list for that when you send your car there for one problem they create more problems just to get more money out your pocket they scamming people

The fixed my daughters vehicle. Told her needed new rack pinging system. She took the vehicle in because was slowly losing steering fluid. Took 4 days to complete the work, had to reschedule trip. After getting vehicle back, headed out on trip to Iowa. Lost steering on way. Still losing fluid, had to continuously add food in order to get the vehicle back.Went through 10 quarts of steering fluid.Now take vehicle back. Now the diagnosis is a crack in the power steering line.Wow so was the first $750.00 of repairs even necessary?Second run was about $300.00 more by the way and still took about 5 hours, even though look ugh it shows the average labor hours would be 1.5 hours.Not sure they have the customer in mind, seems to me it is all about the money. I know we feel like we got scammed, guess we cannot count on integrity any longer.

Make sure of all the charges are correct on bill you get from this place, particularly the AAA discount. Im assuming that some people dont know a simple percentage calculation, so question everything. AAA recommend this place so something must be right with this Auto Care place.

They have been fixing my car for years (7) now and never had an issue. The mechanics and wonderful woman at the front know you and you’re family. Great family owned shop with excellent service! For every accident or issue I come to them. They have fixed two of my cars now and get a good deal on parts and service. From power steering issues, to lights on, to changing all four of my balding tires. They’ve never cheated me and always gave me the best quote. They are quick to only had to leave me car there overnight twice one time while waiting for a part and the other time I dropped my car off late in the evening.

Santos has been a good place to have your car worked on for many decades now, over 45 years now. I have trusted them for difficult vehicle issues. They have the best automotive electronics and electrical technician in the city. Many dealers ask him for help on a regular basis. I highly recommend Santos Automotive.

Easy to find. Bilingual (Spanish). Owners on premises. If you have a short wait time, theres a Whole Foods store & 2 restaurants across street. If your needs can be done same day but a few hours, Theres a Movie Theater in walking distance ( 1 block ).

Paid 700 for labor and 2000 in total to get car fix still have the same problem went back two times still not fix they say I have a 90 days warranty so I hope they fix it smh and also Ive been coming here for over 5 years this is the first time the problem havent been fixed smh

For many years, this used to be my go to for auto service. They were very friendly, and were fair and honest with their pricing. That has changed. It truly pains me to write this negative review.You will see a descrpency in the other reviews. Some talk about how friendly and helpful they are. Others complain that they are treated poorly. There is a reason for this.There used to be two women at the reception desk. The Hispanic woman on the left is one of the owners. She is friendly, upbeat, and helpful. This is the person that the good reviews are based upon. It was one of the things that drew me to Santos. It was always such a happy place.The woman on the right (non-Hispanic) is an abrasive person, that has decided to bully anyone that comes through the door. She is rude and argumentative, and will cut you off in mid-sentence. Her phone manners are the same.This nasty person is at the desk alone more often lately. She is often the only person that the public interacts with. Unfortunately, she has become the face of Santos. Hence, the poor reviews.After all these years, I just stopped taking my car there. I had finally tired of being a target of verbal abuse, simply because my vehicle needed servicing.This unhappy person apparently refuses to seek out the professional help that she obviously needs. Living with this kind of anger has to difficult. She needs to learn to cope with whatever her issue is.Being so disagreeable has to be taxing. Perhaps she will realize how her negative attitude and unpleasant manner affects others. Perhaps she doesnt care.I just know that I have decided that I no longer am going to deal with it.

Great place to get your car fix

They are not even worthy of a star. Unfortunately, I had to give them one just to post the review. I spoke with the receptionist on last week (Friday 4/6/18) and provided her with my sons information to get a quote for an engine repair. She stated to give her some time and she would call us back with the quote...no call on Friday or Saturday. So I called this morning and guess what...she didnt even put his information in the system. After spending 15 minutes providing her with his name, phone number, VIN # and my contact information if he was not available. I am calling on behalf of my son because of his work schedule and he is at drill for the National Guard. I live in another state. She was very rude and did not take ownership for her error. She hung up in my face! They will never get our business! Its simple minded people like that who give companies bad names. If you cant multi-task, then maybe you should stay home!

I brought my wifes car here for brake pads, because she said that she heard a grinding noise while braking and it seemed like the brakes werent as strong. So, I bought new brake pads and took them here to get them put on and I also planned to have the rotors spun. After about 30 minutes, they called me and told me that my brakes were fine, but just need to be cleaned up a bit and tightened. Saved me over $200 by being honest businessmen/women, cause they could have just kept my money and I wouldnt have known the difference. Ive been here a few times now, and although they take their time sometimes, these Cubans(I think they are) have done right by me.

The service I received was hand down the best Id received from a car shop in a loong time. They out the gate asked me call or text, texting works for me because of my schedule. That level of attention to detail is deeply appreciated and I will be back for any another repairs.

I posted a review a few days ago about my check engine light being on and that my pcv valve sensor was the issue and what I was charged. I was not pleased with the service that day. However I went back to Santos and spoke with the owner and explained my situation. He explained to me that his machanic, Nick, performed a diagnostic test and connected the hose back just like he said. Mr. Santos explained to me that the part I called a sensor was not a sensor, so I was wrong on that issue. While standing there he had his machanic, his son, come and check my car because my check engine light was on again. The light came on again because I pulled the hose out, not because of anything their machanic had done previously. They checked the car and found out that the problem was my gas cap. The cap was changed and problem solve. The lesson I learned is that I should have taken my complaint to Mr. Santos before writing my negative review. I want to thank Mr. Santos for explaining everything to me, and to the three machanics that worked on my vehicle. Job will done and I will continue to bring my car to you when service is needed. Proceed with caution ⚠. They are not a rip off however depending on the mechanic assigned to your car and also on how busy they are your car wont be properly fixed. Twice, I sent my van for electrical work to try to find a leak on the electric current that was causing my battery to drain. My AC also needed service. After waiting for over a week to hear back from them and having to argue about an upfront charge of $1000.00 on my card (when we agreed on $500.00) I was told that the car was fixed and that nothing was wrong... On the AC issue I was told to return at a later date since they applied a dye to the system to try to locate the refrigerant leak. Needless to say that nothing was done.It is my assessment that anything a bit more complicated gets less attention at Santos and that in actuality they do not offer top notch nor state of the art services. They are ok for a break job, oil change, and other basic services. They wont overcharge you. However chances are that you are not going to have your car properly fixed. I have stopped going to Santos.BTW another mechanic in kenner was able to find the leak in the electric system and also on my AC. Two things Santos wasnt able to fix...

Great customer service. You can save by bringing your own oil and parts. Santos is waaay better than those at Premiere Nissan who got annoyed when my car stalled out.

I took my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee into Santos on Sept. 28, 2107 for a check engine light for which I had taken to the dealership 3 times. I arrived at Santos at 8:30 am, and at 9:30 am, they had done a diagnostic check and advised I had a pinhole leak in the purge valve hose. The got a replacement and had the car fixed and ready to go at 11:30 am. While I was there, I spoke to a couple of customers in the waiting room and a friend of mine just coming to pick up his car. They all said they had been using Santos for a number of years and were totally satisfied with the service. After having gotten the runaround at the dealership (the last visit having had to leave the vehicle for 2.5 days) which never fixed nor knew the cause of the problem, Id only go to Santos in the future.

Okay, so I had a serious problem with my car before that I could only come to Santos for. I was nervous because it was a problem they couldnt price right up front. So they had my car for a month (theyre usually very busy) and I thought I was going to get screwed, but it ended up being a very reasonable price to get it fixed.

They are legit! Had an egg in my tire. They explained the situation and took care of it in a timely manner.

Customer service is abrasive, at best. Work takes a while. Only reason for two stars (instead of one)is that the work, when actually done, is adequate (not horrible but certainly not good). They cut corners on some of the work and seem lazy.

Scam artists! They took our money and broke our vehicle. Our car left in more problems than it came in with. They also took our money and failed to tell us about additional problems that needed to be fixed before they could begin the work we paid them for. So essentially, we paid them for nothing. Oh yeah, we also waited three hours for this no service. Theres only three chairs to sit inside the store, then they make you wait three hours. Better bring money for the McDonalds across the street!

I am a body shop owner uptown, and when we have have problems with any of our customers vehicles that we cannot diagnose, we have Santos look at it. Believe me when I tell you that they have gotten me out of a few tough situations over the years. Never once in about 5-6 years has any of our vehicles been misdiagnosed, and Andrew is a super-tech and the crew there can stand toe-to-toe with any dealership service center out there guaranteed.

A great place to bring your car

I wanted to trust this mechanic but they make it really hard to. Time estimates grow and grow and grow with no communication on their end as to why, or whats going on with my vehicle. I dont think I will be returning here again after being a loyal customer for years, and referring everyone who has asked for a mechanic. They say something will take two hours and it ends up taking two days, if its gonna take 2days up front you better be ready for eight days without your vehicle. I cant prove it but suspect they did damage when adjusting my alignment. It would all be easier to swallow if the lady up front wasnt so abrasive when you try to find out what is going on with your vehicle. Maybe they are always over capacity? Either way, not worth the hassle, I will be going to the dealer ship from now on even if it costs more.

Santo is one of the best mechanic shop- you want to bring your car to get fix- a 10 star for great great work.

I called them on Thursday explained the type of car along with the style of engine which they advised they could work on that type of vehicle (mazda RX8 rotary engine) I paid to have my car towed there ($75) only for them to keep my car all day from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and to advise they cant do anything with my car not even run a diagnostic check on the engine. Such a great disappointment as they came recommended. They showed no sympathy for my wasted money and my wasted time. I only gave them one star because the system required me to do so.

Brought the truck there to check out some engine noise and small oil leak. They told me there was no compression on one cylinder so I need a new engine, this would cost $2300. Did I want to do that? If not pay $90 to get my truck back. I asked to speak with the mechanic who looked at it to at least try and get a little bit more info, but the lady refused to try and make this happen.This place shows no ethic of trying to work with people who are on a budget to try and give information and options. It felt like I was just being held hostage for some easy money. And then you have to scrape the paint that they put on to mark your car while its sitting in their cramped back lot off the windshield yourself, to top it off.

Recommend to anybody do real good work saying tools been around for years

My only issue is...well,You need alot of patience and time if you want the service for your car,they move at their own pace and have you waiting for hrs so make sure you have a whole day to spare before you even waste your time going there. Allowed my car to be flooded during the august 2017 flood and was not honest about.Tried to dry it out.Did not tell me of it.Got my car back a week or so later and 4 days later all kinds nasty water came from somewhere and car will not stay running.Seats messed up.Ust to be a giod place but not any more by far!!!

Here in New Orleans, everyone says Hello, Maam, but this receptionist was so rude -- she didnt even look up from her paperwork while speaking to me. She said it would cost $45 to have a human look at the car and tell me whether it could be fixed.I walked right out of the door, and wont walk back again.
