I know what you’re thinking. There’s a lot of negative reviews but a lot of positive. I’ll give them a chance. You can’t make everyone happy right. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. These people are complete scammers. They charged me 400$ to fix a part of my car that was already fixed the week before. Diagnostic was never performed. My car killed before I even got out the parking lot. I have a video of owner yelling at me because I asked for a refund and getting angry because I got bad service . They straight up said that wasn’t possible. I have a diagnostic from the part they took out and it’s fully operational. They were playing play and plug. My car has problems it never had before I first left my vehicle. Again my car killed in the parking lot after repairs. That’s insane. These people are straight evil. Single women avoid this place like the plague! They won’t honor your warranty, don’t bother!

I have only lived in New Orleans for a few months and this was the first time I had issues with my car while down here. I had no idea who to come to, and this was the closest place I could find. Undecided.... All The reviews were great. Traveling from out of town, fast and courteous but we had to come back a couple days later because after changing the radiator and fan the air conditioner quit working and noticed a scratch and part of the driver side wheel well popped out and damaged. They found some screws to reattach it immediately and had remedied the air conditioning issue, something didnt get reattached completely. Headed out today and realized after smelling antifreeze that the reservoir was completely empty. Stopped and topped it off, Ill know more in a couple hours. Hopefully no more issues, still have a 12 hour drive home.

I only have good words to say about Nola Automotive in New Orleans. They were able to explain to me in detail about the diagnostics on my car. I always feel that I am in expert hands whenever I go. They stick to their words and the cost has always been reasonable so I always go back.

Hurricane Ida hit us all badly, and shut down many services, some of which have still not been able to return. And despite dealing with their own damages, NOLA Automotive Repairs was able to service our Toyota Tacoma the same day we called, and had us road-ready the next day. Many places we called were backed-up several weeks, but NOLA Automotive really came through for us, at a reasonable price. We highly recommend, and plan to use them in the future.

During the evening hours while on vacation in New Orleans, our truck’s water pump went out and damaged our main engine belt. We contacted AAA and had our truck towed to NOLA Automotive. I was looking forward to bringing my car here as I had read many of the positive reviews - however, when I called to ask how long a tire alignment typically takes - a service advertised on their website - I was told they dont do tire alignments. When I mentioned the service being on their website, I was told they were too busy and had too many people requesting wheel alignments.I found it very strange that I was told explicitly that they dont provide a service that they clearly do without any suggestion to call back in a month, schedule an appointment far in advance, try getting there when the shop opens, or any other recommendation.I did not feel valued as a potential customer, and though I was hoping to have some other repairs done for my vehicle as well, my poor phone interaction left a bad taste in my mouth and I will be looking elsewhere for a reliable mechanic.

My recently college graduate daughter and her roommates were on a road trip to New Orleans when the AC on her Murano went out between Nashville and New Orleans. Chad and team at NOLA were great to work with and provided a fast, accurate diagnosis and quote. They replaced the failed compressor in the same day. If I could give this place a zero rating, I would. The manager Stacey is extremely unprofessional and rude . I got some work done on my car in June. I noticed around August that my brakes were still not working properly. Recently I went to them to receive a refund for the work and the manager based laughed in my face about the issue. Instead of trying to hear what I had to say and provide a solution, she was extremely rude and condescending. I personally believe that her demeanor towards me was racially motivated. If you want quality work and customer service, DO NOT COME HERE.

Since the owner wants to reply to reviews but not call me back after I gave my number to staff MULTIPLE times, let me address one more thing. Your manager didnt even OFFER to see my car, she was rude and she was condescending. I rarely lose my temper, however, when someone is rude to a paying customer and shutting me down before I have a chance to speak, I will lose my temper like any other person. You manager didnt even let me finish what I was saying before she THREW my receipt at me and told me there was nothing yall could do.I have a video a mechanic took of my rotors that show they are rusted and worn down. I could easily go back to that mechanic and get a copy of the diagnostic that states the work was done incorrectly. Again, I lost my temper because she was rude and nasty to me before I could even finish. Yes, I wanted a refund. But they could have offered to look at the car before shutting me down.Again, I have reached out to speak to the owner multiple times but I see he would rather speak on the internet than on the phone .Your manager was rude, period. Anybody with common sense would know to at least offer the customer an additional inspection before saying Well you live in New Orleans, what do you expect? The professionalism at this business is nonexistent. And FYI, just because you employ POC and take their money, does not mean you respect them as people. As a young woman I have never dealt with such terrible customer service until yesterday. This issue could have been resolved in an amiable and timely manner but YOUR MANAGER decided to be rude about it so I simply matched her energy.Clearly, this owner would rather save face than address the issue at hand. I went to Nola Automotive for a brake repair. I was there and out faster than expected. Everyone I met was helpful, and the mechanic was able to find out what was wrong. The office and waiting room were clean. If you need brake service in New Orleans, you have to go to Nola Automotive.

I will never have any work done at the shop again. They took my money and didn’t even look at my engine. I had the completely wrong battery installed. Which doesn’t take a $100 dollars to diagnose. When I went to get a full diagnostic they never told me that I had the wrong battery which meant that they never looked at my engine. They charged me 2300 to get my brakes fixed. When I asked them what they performed on the car the lady was very rude to me. She was very nice in the beginning but became condescending once I paid them and asked them what they actually look at when preforming a full diagnostic. I had to tell her about her language and how it was not very supportive of me understanding what exactly my money was spent on. They took full advantage of me not knowing about cars and didn’t care to make clear what they actually look at when doing a full diagnostic. They seem to rely totally on the machines to diagnose and not even pop the hood to look at anything. Right after I got the work done on my truck, there was a lot of smoke coming from my engine the day after and when I asked them what it could be they said it was natural and it was burning oil however this was a very serious problem. I went to them because they had some good reviews but they basically did nothing I actually needed and tried to rip me off for all they could with useless work. Beware of this place they are not trustworthy.

Driving from out of town I realized I made a huge mistake by leaving my oil cap off. My car started making lots of strange and loud noises so I brought it to the shop to see what could be done. I could tell they were incredibly busy but they took the time to look over my car give me a diagnosis and found the problem quickly. Despite the fact that they designated their Saturdays for repairs and normally would have had to wait till Monday to look over my car they gave me a diagnosis and tried to find the part I needed rather quickly to get it done that weekend. Unfortunately they did not have the part I needed but they gave me great advice and didn’t charge me at all for the service. The staff were all incredibly kind and knowledgeable and I’m so grateful to have come to the shop first before fixing my issue so where else later. If you ever need a diagnosis or repairs for your car go here first, these people are amazing!

I took my car to these guys and they did a wonderful job my car wouldn’t reverse and I needed a transmission and they fixed the leak not only did they fix it but they told me other problems I had outside of want I asked them to fix. (Minor things). But I give them a 10 but could only rate 5 and Mr Blake was very informational professional knowledgeable and also took the time to come out to answer and fix anything I seen wrong 🤣 on my 95 Lincoln appreciate you and your business Mr Blake 💯

We had car trouble once when we visited New Orleans. NOLA Automotive Repairs came to my rescue when our tire broke down. Thank you for helping out and changing up my tire quickly.

I brought my car in for an inspection to find out that they didnt actually look at any of the things I was concerned about(some of them werent just looking at it and required more in-depth diagnostic so fair enough that an inspection may not have been enough), but my tire sensor light was on and nothing they gave me even addressed that(when I addressed this issue to them it was as simple as pulling it up on the diagnostic tool to see what the issue was), so Im left wondering what exactly did they even look at if they missed a warning light on the dash, in addition to this now my car has three more warning lights after its time with them, Im not going to say that they did something to my car to trigger more warning lights, but it is a bit strange how Ive had the car for a year and this issue didnt present itself, but did during the two days they had it. In addition to all this, the quote they gave me for repairs was around 1300, but I just bought all the parts for 350. Im not saying they are scamming people, but enough red flags have been raised for me to say you should probably take your car somewhere else. After seeing the response from the owner I can more highly recommend people avoid this shop. They were happy to take my money, but never addressed a single concern I had given them about my car. I have no idea why they asked me to fill out a sheet of potential issues if they werent even going to look at it/should have told me that some of the issues were not things they were going to address. My big issue with the timing belt was that their inspection says they look at belts, they called me back and hadnt even looked at it when they said the inspection was done. So what exactly does their inspection even do if they arent addressing the condition of a belt, are they just going hmmm...yes the belt is there?? I never accused them of doing anything to my car, simply stated that the car came in with one warning light(TPMS that I knew about since one of my sensors was bad/filled out their sheet so they could tell me which one was broken) and after its time with them it had three more warning lights. When I pointed out this highly suspicious coincidence they immediately became extremely defensive and that let me know everything I needed to about this shop. If all they did was visually inspect then how did something break while it was with them??? Absolutely avoid these people/If you dont believe what Ive said about them just read the owners response and youll see how it avoids every issue I brought up about what they did

I did not get my car serviced here- but I would love to leave a positive review for this business. Our Jeep broke down during a weekend trip to NOLA- and the business would not have been able to look at it until Monday. We had to go back home Sunday, and the business let us tow our Jeep there and helped even when we decided to ship it home instead of use their business. They were very kind (specifically Blake), and worked with us even though we never actually hired them to do any type of work. I suggest using this business if you are looking anywhere else, because they actually care about the people driving the cars- not just the money they can make from fixing them.

Just made my first trip to New Orleans today. Literally as soon as I got off I-10 my car started acting up and stalling .I Googled auto repair and this was the first shop that popped up. I nursed it there and they really did a great job. They quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it fast even though I could tell they were busy. I dont know if I will ever make it back here but I would definitely use this shop if I lived here. Thank you guys again 🙂

Did a great job, Considering bringing My other Truck there

TLDR: they gave me a $1850 estimate for something I fixed myself for $25.My AC was only working intermittently. They told me the compressor was locked up, had littered the rest of the system with metal shavings, and I needed a full compressor kit replacement totaling $1850. I also paid $90 just to get that diagnosis. Luckily my friends dad suggested just getting a can of AC fluid for $25 and trying that and its been working great for almost a month now. Its possible theres still a problem with my AC system that will come out over time but my compressor certainly isnt locked up, they never mentioned AC fluid pressure, and I just felt like they jumped straight to the easiest-for-them and most-expensive-for-me option. Considering the age of my car, $1850 might not even be worth it. $25 to get even one more summer out of it would be better than finding a new car or suffering without AC.

I went to this place to get my brakes serviced and now i have water leaking into my car. When i picked up my car i thought the window may have been open while servicing my vehicle but as it’s rained since then water is leaking through to my passenger side door. Nice place but they overcharge here. I had work done for less than an hour. I gave them all the parts and after telling me the labor rate is 119. They charge me 210 for the repair. The receipt said 180 for labor.

NOLA Automotive Repairs was highly recommended by my neighbors. I just got my starter replaced, and they patiently listened to all of my concerns and theories regarding the car. The replacement took the same day. Efficient service and kind approach to a first-time customer! Lower price than I was quoted elsewhere, too.

The only reason they get 3 stars is because they fixed what was wrong with my vehicle, which I was grateful for. Otherwise it would be 1 star for taking a long time to get the work done (closed on weekends which extended the waiting time, leaving TRASH in my passenger side (peanut butter bar wrappers-I’m allergic to peanuts so I know it’s not my trash) and not wearing masks. Beware about their lack of masks and wipe your vehicles down good after they’re done with it.

My family and I were on vacation in New Orleans when my ‘check engine’ light on my RAM’s ecodiesel lit up. It was December 31st, and the Nola Automotive team was busy. However, after a quick diagnostic check they told me it was a software update issue that RAM needed to do free of charge. Nothing urgent.Mechanic shops tend to have bad reputations for upcharging customers and not being too ethical. This was the extreme opposite. They sent me on my way, with some peace of mind, and refused to charge for the diagnostic performed,Keep it up Nola Automotive team! I’ll be sure to spread the word about your great service and being so customer-focused.

I can see why a lot of people recommended them to me when I needed to replace my starter. Their price was lower than other places Ive been to. They know what theyre doing. I was surprised that the job took less than a day. I give them plus points for being professional! They did not seem annoyed that I had a lot of questions and theories about my car.

My brakes were in very bad shape. The pedal was going to the floor. They thoroughly inspected the brakes, and found multiple problems. By far the best service and value in the city. The staff made me feel very comfortable from the minute I walked in. They are friendly yet professional and no nonsense. The problem with my vehicle was diagnosed with in 30 minutes and repairs were done in a few hours. I paid half the price I was expecting for parts and labor was exactly what it should have been. I will never take my car anywhere else. My Mercedes is running great and I had enough money left over to take the family out for bbq.

Really went above and beyond to help fix an electrical issue caused by another business. Was able to get my car from needing to be towed to back on the road within a day. Would recommend them to everyone and will definitely be returning for future auto repair needs.

Over the last few weeks, I had observed that my cars tires were skidding whenever I pushed the brake. These were warning signs and I wanted to replace them right away. While searching online, I came across NOLA Automotive Repairs. I didnt know this tire shop was so close to my place. They wanted to provide same-day service but I had to delay it until the weekend. A technician came and checked the tires. He recommended the best within my budget. By the end of the day, he had replaced all the tires and wanted me to take a drive. I was totally satisfied with the service.

Amazing service!! Took my van in for what I thought was going to be a couple thousand dollar transmission job turned into a minor fix. To top it off he picked me up from home to bring me to the shop!! Great service! Quick turnaround! Great customer service!! 10/10 would recommend this HONEST car shop!

The last couple of times that my car decided to have a mind of its own, I called this NOLA Automotive Repairs. My mom has been going here for a while and she told me that if you want things done well and in a hurry, this is one of the best places to go. I have very little patience when it comes to waiting for repairs to get done, so this is perfect for me. I had my car back on the same day each time I went.

Our family has been using NOLA for almost 15 years. They make it simple to schedule an appointment over the phone and are very pleasant. Everyone there treats you nice and makes you feel welcome. They have always done really good work for us and we recommend them to all our friends when they have car repair issues. Our son took his used car in for his first maintenance check up and they made him feel great about his “slick” car.

I have had my baby (a car passed down from my dad) for about 15 years and it is hard to find someone who does not take forever to have her back in shape when something goes wrong. Since shes an old car, there are issues here and there. It can be super annoying when it takes one to two weeks to get a job done that I know can be completed in a fraction of the time. NOLA Automotive Repairs is great because they have never taken more than a day or two. My only issue is the fact that one of the staff seemed to be having a bad day and he was a little short with me. Other than that, perfect service.

Last week my cars steering got locked dor some reason. I wanted a car repair company that would provide same-day service since my office is far away. And NOLA Automotive Repairs was the only auto shop in town. And they did not disappoint. A technician came over to my garage and made the necessary checks. He opened the steering and tweaked a few things inside. Soon, the steering was working smoothly like before. It only took him about half an hour to fix the issue. I will use them if I need to repair any part of my car again.

Good, reliable service is a given here -- with attention to detail and with clear communication about possible problems I should be aware of. I really appreciate that since a lot of places will tell you everything will be fine only to later say they found more problems and it’ll cost more. Plus, the staff is always friendly and welcoming.

Cars aren’t cheap and no one really like having to do maintenance. That’s why finding quality work for a good price is so important. At NOLA you get it all. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable and get the work done right and fast. I doubt you’ll find a better spot than NOLA.

This is my fourth review for NOLA Automotive Repairs. I consider them as my friend in need. This time, my cars AC is not working. With summer arriving, I wanted to test the AC as I had not used it for a couple of months. But it didn’t work. I tried increasing its cooling intensity but it wouldnt produce cold air. Like always, I called this company and they sent a technician over within an hour. He said that the drainage pipe of the HVAC system was blocked. The technician took the car in their servicing area for a couple of hours. Now, it works just like new. Recommended AC Repair Shop here in New Orleans.

I’d been trying to make my way home after buying a used car, and began having trouble on a Saturday outside of New Orleans. I called GMC, who manufactured the vehicle and they told me that I would need an appointment and maybe they could get it in sometime the following week. I then went to a local Firestone shop and they told me they only had one person that diagnosed vehicles and since it was a holiday weekend (Memorial Day weekend) he would not be back in until Tuesday at the earliest. Neither of these places really seemed to care whether I got my vehicle fixed or not.I called NOLA Automotive Repairs, a bit frustrated, and spoke with Pete. He was extremely friendly and professional and told me to get the vehicle there and he would at the very least tell me what was wrong with it. Not only did Pete figure out what the problem was, but he stayed late on a holiday weekend to make sure that my vehicle was ready for me to continue my drive on Sunday! I got to the shop around 2:30pm and he had it ready by 5:30! This shop is by far the hardest working shop in the area and I would recommend ANYONE having car problems to forgo the major companies and choose this local shop! The customer service is just above and beyond in comparison to anywhere else I’ve ever been!What I didn’t tell Pete is that I’m a first responder nurse for the COVID pandemic and me making it home on time is vital. Not only did he ensure that I stay on time during my trip, but he allowed me to get back to work so I can help care for people that need it during this time. I am very picky when it comes to choosing an automotive technician to take care of my car.I worked really hard to buy the car of my dreams and there is no way I want to entrust it in the hands of some random teenagers, DIY people or anyone else that is not skilled enough to make sure that the job gets done well without causing any damage to my vehicle.I went to NOLA Automotive Repairs for the first time a couple of months ago and they were great.A guy at work recommended them and I will be going there from now on. The prices were a little high, but I expect that from a place with top-notch service.

I have always described Nola is that I have never had to bring my vehicle back for the same problem. It is always fixed right the first time. That is important to me. As usual, the work is done timely and efficiently. Done right the first time every time... As we know not all repairs are created equally!

UPDATE: I have changed my review to five stars after speaking with the owner.Shortly after I posted my initial review the owner reached out to me about what had happened. He kindly offered to do the diagnostic on my truck for free, and came to my house to pick up the truck so that I would not need to go out of my way on a busy day.He fixed what he could and delivered the truck back to me. He waived all the fees and spoke to me at length about what had happened. He was incredibly positive and gave me some resources for other automotive shops that may be better suited to deal with a truck of this age.I appreciate his candor, quick response, and general good vibe. THANK YOU!They get two stars because the first time I used them I had a good experience.I recently brought my truck into the shop because it had broken down unexpectedly. When I went to drop the vehicle off I stated that the car had broken down. I was unsure of what the issue was and that at the least it certainly needed a tune up. This was on a Wednesday. I was told I would be contacted Friday about picking up the vehicle.I was contacted and told the vehicle was ready. I asked if they had found the issue and was told they had cleaned the carburetor and replaced the spark plugs. I picked up the vehicle drove it home.The next morning it broke down on me with the exact same issue I had brought it in for. I left a voicemail about this knowing they would not be open until Monday.Monday morning I was not called back from my voicemail so i called them. I was told because I had not used the word “diagnostic” when I dropped the car off that they had only done a tune up. Apparently they will not search for an issue unless you use this language. I was told that the fault rested with me because I had not asked for a “diagnostic test”.When I dropped the vehicle off I described in detail the issue I was having. Suggested what a I thought it might be, but apparently dug my own grave by saying it needed a tune up.The receptionist was little to no help and was unapologetic about the miscommunication. I will not be using a mechanic that needs me to use coded language and doesn’t listen to what the customer is communicating. I am not a mechanic and by saying I don’t know what’s wrong is admitting I need help.Very frustrating experience.

My truck was starting to pull when I made sharp/hard turns. I took it into NOLA for them to look at. They determined it was the suspension. I don’t want to risk a rollover so I had them fix it straight way. The did a good job on it and I haven’t noticed it pulling since. NOLA helps me keep my truck in perfect condition so I don’t have to worry.
