I’ve only had one positive employee interaction here and that was with the lovely lady who works the customer service desk. She was great.The others have been uniformly awful and never seem to know where anything is. Always on their phones. One made me a set of keys that don’t work in my door. A cashier called my shoes ugly. One didn’t know what “pavers” were. Another wasn’t sure if they sold firewood. The latest fought tooth and nail to get me to sign up for a store credit card and took it personally when I kept saying no.I mean, what is it about this particular Home Depot? I just bought a rake on Amazon instead.

Used to love coming here. But with the mask mandate put into place again I will be going elsewhere until lifted.

It’s a Home Depot, it’s probably better than your local one, they keep it clean, they have helpful and knowledgeable employees, they leave you alone if you have headphones in, what more could you ask for?

Nice service today fir my sis & bro inlaw whom just moved into the area. Staff was courteous & helpful. They returned an item with no problems at all & made an appointment to hve doir installed in their new home. Purchased a few needed things.

The staff was uneven in its knowledge and friendliness. The person at the return desk was completely professional and helpful. On the other hand the man who handled the plumbing department was impatient and borderline rude when I had a few questions about a bathtub. I got the impression that he was too busy to spend time with me. Not something I would like to experience again. As it turns out we went shopping at Lowes

Go here on Saturdays usually. Nice store - friendly, helpful staff. Premium 2x4s now down to $6.50 from $7.50. (still way too high.) Store usually has good stock. Must wear a mask - personally dont have an issue with that.

I usually shop at Taylor and Sons True Value in New Milford +whose customer service is exemplary), however when I cannot obtain what I need from them, I shop at Home Depot. My customer service experience at Home Depot is generally about 70% a good one. Today was exceptional. Employees were helpful, you could HEAR the smile in their voices (I teach elocution) and they went out of their way to help. The item I need is not available at Home Depot however, they found a product to possibly replace it. Today I overheard an employee take the time to assist an older lady so she could safely get to check out. He also told her that hed make sure someone would help her to her car. He was patient. He was KIND. At checkout, they were willing to discount a slightly damaged product as well. Today was an example of how Home Depot can occasionally exhibit solid customer service skills.

I shop here for all my projects. I can always be sure they have what I need when it comes to a general purpose tool or other basic home project needs.

Much cleaner than it used to be but stuff is mismatched all over the place. Was looking for foam filler some cans over in paint some across other end of store had to ask associate where stuff was. Need better organization. But staff was helpful.

On more than one occasion have had trouble with the lack of knowledge of the employees here. Asking a question about anything leads to more I dont knows than not. Torrington store is much better.

Everytime I order something for pickup there’s an issue. One time it took 2 weeks and they still didn’t have it ready. Most recently we ordered several things and half the order got cancelled. Save time and go to lowes instead.

Well-stocked store. Excellent, friendly greeter. Some floor staff have no regard for customers and walk in front of us or block us as they move things around and never apologize.Terrible parking lot with serious drainage issues(multiple deep puddles) along with potholes. Transition to main road is terrible.

Often times whats listed on the website, isnt available in store. Even if you go through all the website specifications. Its unfortunate, but you should expect this to continually happen.

Just to let you know they said as of July 1st the bags have been removed! No option to buy etc just gone, so maybe an extra five gallon bucket or bin if your really shopping 🤔🤨

Its as all other Home Depots, a huge box store full of most things you need to build or maintain your home, the staff is generally very helpful, and the prices are good.

This is my favorite Home Depot of all Ive visited, and thankfully its the closest to my house! Genuinely helpful staff, lots of selection, and what I need always seems to be in stock. I love how its never THAT busy here (even on weekends), especially compared to the Danbury location.The only bummer is that you cant rent equipment (aside from a limited truck selection) from here.

Today was just a quick run, for filters for my shop vac. It was also the first time I have seen paper bags for catching the dirt for making the dumping of dirt and dust easier for my wife.

Sell tools if you you need a shovel or a nail.

Rest rooms only have warm air hand dryers and no paper towels. At cash registers, scanning beds on the counter have been replaced by a scanning gun that you have to pick up to use. Clerk said she wipes them after each use. Overall store experience was OK.

I like this store. They generally have what I need and are doing a great job trying to keep us safe during this pandemic. The only issue is trying to get help especially knowledgeable help. But thats nothing new. Good help ended in the 90s.

Always a pleasure... except when paying

Had trouble finding what I was looking for. The stock at eye level sold but I found more on an upper self. Staff was more interested in getting me to open a credit card.

I would rather visit a locally owned hardware store. Support small buisnesses, might pay a bit more but you will talk to people that actually know what they are talking about.

Everything is so well organized and clean... with that said when I asked for help one member very forcefully and reluctantly said what you want When I asked what I need it he plain simply said no. Didnt check nor made an effort and just told me no...After I told him that on the website it shows 23 in stock he said I ought to check other home depot... what a piece of labor waste.... sad sad very sad...

Had great help getting a TV mount. With a almost a 50% discount if I signed up for a home depot card. After a very misleading conversation I was finally made aware that I was signing up for a credit card. Even lied about why they needed my social. My fault but I was still happy about the discount.

They had everything I needed. Had to ask twice for help getting something down from a high shelf but everyone was friendly.

The prices keep going higher... Seems more like the Home Expensivo rather than the Home Cheapo now.

I went to go to their garden center, it was stocked and clean. But there was no one around to help was disappointed with some of their flowers as they looked as if they had not been watered in days. I was looking to possibly grab a few plants at a good price as being the end of the year you can sometimes get a good price on them. I also needed potting soil and wanted to find a pot that was a bit bigger than the one my Hibiscus tree was already in. Larger pots are hard to find but with no one there to assist I was very limited to what I could reach on my own and ended up unfortunately grabbing one that is not much bigger. Overall I left dissatisfied again. Prior to this I called Home Depot to order 2 windows and with everyone offering different ordering options due to the pandemic thought that this would be a easy thing to do. At first the phone rang and rang, when I tried the 2nd time someone finally picked up on the 9th ring. I stated what I needed and was transferred to mill work, The Man who answered at first was fine but kept trying to get me to have them come out for a quote to replace the windows. I repeatedly stated that I just wanted to order the windows he then said whom will install them? Honestly I thought that he was being nosy but I did answer myself and a friend he then said well have the person who will be installing them to call with the measurements. I said that I had the measurements and again I would be installing them. Then he said have your carpenter call, I again said I have the measurements and I didnt understand why he would not listen to me he said I hope you measure correctly when I said I had worked in construction for over 20 years he didnt respond and then said when your carpenter measures it have him call and then hung up. I tried to call back multiple times that day and every time they transferred me a different department picked it up one gentleman in Lumber who I spoke a bit harsh to at first said that he was sorry for what happened it was wrong and was going to transfer me to someone else who could help but after 2 rings it hung up a few days after I received a call from a girl to set up a appointment for someone to come out for a consult for installing windows I quickly explained to her that I was only looking to order windows not installation and she said ok and hung up. Although I have not had the time to order the windows yet I highly doubt it will be through home depot the whole call was disturbing on many levels. I have already stopped utilizing them for the business and will certainly try to go to anyone else first because of how I was treated. Bad business

I received exceptional service from Randy at HD. He saw me attempt to cut a piece of plywood (with a saw) that I purchased, and decided to cut the board with a circular saw himself. (The process took less than a minute.) You can tell he is a master of his craft. If youre looking for wood cutting services, ask for Randy!

I am rating this Home Depot - the New Milford store - a “3” today because I did deal with some very nice and helpful people. However, one gentleman, Mark (or Marc, depending on the spelling of his name), single handedly brought this store’s rating down from what would otherwise have been a “5.”Upon arriving, I asked the woman at the entrance where the battery testers were located. She sought the assistance of Mark (or Marc), who was very quick to tell me that they did not carry that item and recommended that I try Autozone.Nothing like turning away business.Anyway, I then said to Mark (or Marc) that I was looking for a battery tester for AA and AAA batteries, and not for a car battery. Mark (or Marc) was quick to respond with, “If I have any they would be over here...” and proceeded to direct me to a display of AA and AAA batteries near the front of the store.Apathy is, indeed, an unbecoming trait.In taking a little self-initiative and backtracking - as well as having received assistance from some other individuals who were nice and professional enough to actually give a damn - I found what I was looking for in the Electrical Department (as it was referred to by someone).I am not, by any means, a high maintenance individual, but this Mark (or Marc) - based on my experience(s) with him today - could easily serve as the poster child for uselessness.

I couldnt find the solar lights I wanted but I did get to use a 10% coupon.

Impressive!!!! Susan took the extra time to see if what I needed was in stock. I had called another store and needed to search further out. She called me back, and then was extremely nice to patiently take my order and walk me through the process. This is as good as it gets in a brick and mortar store. I am really impressed with the fantastic customer service here. Way to go Susan!!!!

A little disappointed they advertised sales and have a lot of bare shelves 2 days before the biggest shopping day of the year. Most employees were clueless except for the girl at the customer service desk who went above and beyond to help me.

This is my first review, and I wish I didnt feel the need to do so, but I think it is important to expose the experience my senior parents recently had with the New Milford Home Depot and their appliance subcontractors. At this writing, an oven and stove-top sit in their respective boxes in the center of my elderly parents kitchen. From delivery to installation, the wait will be three weeks, and no effort has been made by HD or the independent installer to take responsibility. I strongly recommend looking to smaller appliance stores, cultivating trusting relationships with local tradesmen and limiting patronage of Home Depot and other, similar stores. It is unfortunate that integrity is no longer a part of a purchase and service agreement.

This is a fairly large Home Depot in a convenient location on Route 7 in New Milford. The home and garden section is big and they use the parking lot in the spring to put out more plants and mulch. The challenge is that you need to bring your selections back inside to complete the purchase.

Needed to rent Rug Dr. They had several. Lady gave great instructions, it worked perfectly, job done in no time, not one problem. Fastest Ive been in and out of Home Depot ever, but its my favorite shopping place but this trip was time sensitive and everything went much better than expected. Thank you Home Depot.

Alot of help today

I became all too familiar with this Home Depot while in town helping my brother with a few projects at his house. While it is a bit different from what I am used to and also looked smaller, they had a nice selection of all the different departments we were checking out. In all the departments we visited, they had everything we were looking for, so for me, the size was not an issue. The staff was always friendly with us and willing to help if and when needed but they also werent overbearing in trying to help when we didnt need any. Snagged a few awesome clearance deals as well while we were in there a couple different times. Dont really have any complaints.

I went in to purchase lightbulbs and the store employee sold me the wrong size. He tried to be helpful, but in the end, I had to return the lights for the right ones.

I had a good experience the last time I was in Home Depot. They answered all my questions thoroughly and unlike the location in Waterbury they didnt try and sell me on anything. They instead gave me different options. I ended up hiring a professional to do the work on my house, but the staff at home depot were very pleasant.
