Was very clean, extraordinarily so, and more so than ever. It seems sanitary too. Everything could be found easily and Its obvious these employees are working keeping this place in top clean condition during a pandemic.Easy to see whats in the store and its orderly. Most things in shelves are grouped together with same and similar items.Lots of good deals.
They have some good stuff, but lots of junk. Their pricing is also quite high for a thrift shop. Compared to Arc Value Village and Goodwill this shop is dirty and overpriced.
Honestly. I have always loved this store. Being it is one of few unique stores left in mn, I go out of my way to stop here, employees are welcoming and I have never really had anything negative happen here. (:
Wow! So many cool and yes, unique things, and so well organized. Last trip found a music stand and several great art books. Already planning my next trip.
Usually good used items at a reasonable cost.
I love going to Unique especially on Tuesdays when it is senior day and you get 30% off. The only thing is you need to watch their prices. Today for instance, I saw a pair of brand new Ruff Hewn womens shorts with the tags on them and Unique put a price tag of $19.99 on them. That is a ridiculous price to put on a pair of shorts at a thrift store when everything is donated in the first place. I would never pay that and even with 30% off it is still too much. I have seen multiple items priced very high for a thrift store and I dont know who prices these items but do they really expect people to pay that much????? They just need to keep the prices reasonable so items do sell. I do just like to walk around and see what I can find there even if I dont need it. Cute clothes, nice home decorative items. Always find something.
If you like thrift stores, this is a good one. I would like it if they had more 3xl in tops though. But I did find a nice pair of jeans here.
Went there to find something to decorate my grand daughters sewing machine! I cant explain all the other stuff that jumped in my cart! Decent prices, clean and friendly employees!
I shop here very often for my household. Having 6 kids, thrift stores are a blessing. That being said today was just a bad day with the cashiers and I’m guessing the manager on duty today 5/17/21. The professionalism they had today was little to none. I was left at the register and ignored when I tried to get my cashiers attention. I say he was cashier but he very well may have been the manager as he was handling money in the drawers of the two cashier on duty. In his plight to help his cashiers and another customer who came along after he started ringing me up, he completely left me/my purchase and did not give me a heads up that he was going to leave, come back or how long he would be. It was rude to be ignored after being told to come to the register and actually having part of my items rung up. I wasn’t helped by either of the other two cashiers who continued to call other customers up, nor did they say anything in rendering verbal aid in how long he would be in coming back to the register I stood at. I ended up walking away and leaving and they could’ve cared less. I’ve never had an issue with anyone at this establishment..in fact it’s always been very pleasant and I’ve continued to come back time and time again. Shame. I’ll find another thrift store to make my “thrift home”. It only takes one unfavorable moment for me to move on. I’ve learned that much in life.
Had fun, love thrift stores and this is a good one! Good prices, too.
Great selection of new and vintage items. Great service. Neat, clean displays. A+
Some things are over priced but if u take time to look can find something worth the effort. Have days to save money like senior day and other days. Join their free membership also to save.
Soo much stuff to look through. Very organized. Most things arent gently used. I was looking for something specific, not one to be found. Perhaps another time.
They have fair prices and good quality.
Comparable to Goodwill as to prices and a bit larger and more organized. Pay attention at the register as some cashiers didn’t seem up on what items got what discounts. I went around 1:30 on a Thursday and it was 25% off for members. It didn’t seem too busy yet they ran out of bags, so best to have your own. The bags of toys are prepackaged in random bundles and I found it frustrating that you can’t swap things to get just the items you want. I do understand it’s probably easier for them to price and move stuff that way. Lots of nice wall art although priced high for used items.
Great customer service. Very helpful staff. Helped me get a discount and everything. Love the place.
This and Burnsville locations are my favorite thrift stores in the Twin Cities. Shawn is always super helpful too
Thrift store with a wide variety of stuff. Sometimes you can find a good deal, other times you find Dollar Tree items for $1.99. Changing rooms are not open, which makes buying clothes a gamble.
The staff are nice and helpful, the store is clean and organized. Over all I like this store.
All I wanted was some work pants, i bought 5 pairs of pants all labeled size 34 waist(I checked 3 times) I get home and the pants labeled size 34 are ACTUALLY size 40... Is a blind person labeling these things? Do better.
Huge thrift store! Same vibe as Savers...in fact they are probably related. Similar prices to most chain thrift stores, which I’ve noticed can be all over the place (Good deals on most items, but some prices make no sense at all). Make sure to bring your own bag because I don’t believe they provide one. Happy thrifting!
Great store prices came way down nice and clean and picked up way better than savers on central Avenue. friendly workers and will take most of your donations
I donot now how I got here but whatever how I like it. I doesn’t hav the money but good price etherway and so cool
Found a lot of neat items at this store.
I have been there over the years and it has really cleaned it self up. You use to get great deals but since these second hand stores have become so popular your not seeing such good deals. I think the prices are high considering that its second or even maybe more than second hand item.
I love Unique more and more everytime I go there! The place it clean, organzied and kept nice too shop in.
Big inventory a little pricey but still much better than retail.
Great merchandise at a very reasonable price, and also senior discount day on Tuesday. Simply Outstanding.
There always polit and I always find a treasure thank you so much
Love this place. Good for whole house supplies and wardrobe. Furniture and bargains for the most seasoned Thrifter.
I think its the best thrift store in the Cities. Always have new merchandise, and you can pretty much find anything you need.
JAYVON was amazing with his service. It was freezing outside when we dropped off our donations and he was patient and stood outside for much longer than he should have. A VERY HARD WORKER.
Excellent second hand store. Great selection and nice prices. Highly recommend.
They have a HUGE selection of EVERYTHING. Very organized!
Love this place!!! I can spend hours upon hours here, and have found so many great things. I have been to many thrift stores in the Mpls area, this location is definitely best!! Mens clothing is a bit pricey, but other than that, extremely affordable. I hope they stay in business a long time.
Tons of clothes. If youre cheap but still picky like me tired of browsing thrift stores and finding nothing you like in your size. Youll be glad to see the selection they have here. I can always find something nice that fits for a great price
This location has a large selection of everything and everything, but the prices are very high compared to other stores in the area.
A little over priced but had lots of stuff!
My favorite thrift store! They are a bit overpriced considering their inventory is 100% profit donations but they have a lot. Never a quick trip.
Found 4 lovely tops in like new condition!
Good variety of items but prices have definitely raised. Ive been shopping here 10+yrs. Last couple I have noticed prices rising.
Good deals but kids run wild..parents at fault
Nice to see if they have anything that I dont need at a price I can afford.
They have a great selection of just about everything I could ever think of to go in there for and then some and its really good stuff really nice things. If you havent ever shopped here I recommend it!
It is a unique thrift store owned by savers. There are some management issues. The employees are respected and when complaints are made they retaliate against the them. They have good sales and prices are ok but not enough to make up for the issues.
The Unique Thriftstore has been updated and is much cleaner than it was before. The aisles are wider and up to COVID-19 standards. Always a great inventory here, this place is huge. I will be stopping by again very soon.
I always love shopping there. Prices are usually fairly reasonable. Its a bonus being a member and when I donate, acquiring the 20% off is nice!Staff is friendly. Store is kept clean and tidy.
Its expensive and duy
It would be very nice if our checkout lady spoke English. We both did not know what the other was saying making it very frustrating.
Great store, but prices are a bit much for a thrift store.
Love shopping here. ☺ Seem to most often find a treasure. 👍 Fun store, very polite staff & great layout of merchandise.
This is my favorite thrifty store
Nice variety of items and stocked neatly.
I found some great stuff but I couldnt try anything on so now I have to go back to exchange only at this time(covid) and Ill spend more money!!
I did not like this store at all. There were exposed kitchen knives just handing on the wall, it was very ghetto, and seemed unsafe. It wasn’t very organized, but it had quite a bit of clothes.
This is one of the best places for second hand clothes. Anytime I need cheap jeans or sweaters for work, this is the spot. Theyve got a good collection of housewares as well. The store is well run, clean, and definitely a great place for cheapskates like me.
I can usually find a couple nice pieces here. It is definitely overpriced and more expensive than places like Goodwill or Sal Val but it’s nicely organized and overall a pretty good store.
Always wonderful finds to be had.
Great thrift store.
Great place. Think its same as Savers
Fair prices, Friendly Staff, and always worth a stop when Im hunting for treasure or clothes!
You can get what would be expected from a second hand store. Wide variety of clothes, and house hold knick nacks. Toy selection was lacking heavily. Employees were not rude, but not very helpful either. Over all an ehh kind of experience.
I love this store!! I bought a ton of stuff from them before my family came. My son worked here when I lived in New Hope. Even though I moved to Maple Grove, I still shop here. I think their prices are very reasonable. Kevin was extra nice last time I was at the store. I think we were the last ones to leave the store and he helped us push the carts. I will buy here as for as long as Im in MN. ❤❤
This is my favorite thrift store!
I worked here for a couple months and although the employees rock and very friendly and helpful i would NOT recommend working there. The head manager is difficult to interact and approach with. In my opinion it is important to be personable and understanding as a manager especially when the whole concept and motto is team work. Appreciate the kindness shown by the other managers and employees though, you all made the experience tolerable and fun.
Yeah and what youre really nice clean organized place
Fall decorations from Ralph Loren
Pretty clean store. Staff are nice. Prices are a little high for a thirft store and not much of a good selection. But I still like going to walk around to see if I can find a diamond in the rough.
I LOVE this store! I find so many awesome things that are priced perfectly for a thrift store. On average I purchase 20+ things per visit now. A year ago, I really despised this place. The prices were outrageous. Id have to really search high & low to find a good deal. Id only buy maybe 2-3 things per visit. Of course youre still going to see the ridiculously high priced items here and there. Especially the Semi high-end products like, Coach, MK, Silver Jeans, Miss Me jeans, Fossil.. Fortunately, I like brands from this decade :-) They havent gotten money hungry on most of them.. Yet! This store really wised up. As soon as the prices came down a little my friends and I spend 20X more than we used to a year ago. If youre one of the customers scorned by the rampant overpricing this store used to be known for, Try it Again! Unique New Hope is like a normal thrift store now, with normal thrift store prices. They no longer think theyre Nordstroms :-)
Lovely place for gently used items and unique finds.
This place is Amazing, they have everything. Yes it used but in pretty good to outstanding condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cashiers greet you and smile. Its a very warm place to shop.
Great prices, friendly staff.
I have been coming to this thrift store for years. Hands down the best one with the most selection.
I had a great donation experience at this location. I highly recommend donating items to this store. Easy drive up and drop off. Friendly staff.
Run down. Overpriced junk
It’s generally a hit or miss, like most thrift stores, but I love this place. They have customer discount rewards on certain days and your purchases accumulate points that goes towards a discount. The 50% days are a nightmare and bring out the ugliest and rudest people that will take things from your cart when you’re not looking so we avoid those days.
This store was way, way better before Savers came into the picture and raised the prices dramatically. They also changed the layout of the odds and ends section to the far left as you walk into that area from front door. They used to have the best deals. I used to love rummaging through all the knick knacks and household items for well over an hour. It was like a treasure hunt - never knew what you might uncover. When they labeled the aisles and separated everything (just like the Savers stores) it just became... boring... I loved how they used to just put stuff wherever, way more interesting and fun to shop there! I used to walk to the checkout with more than I could barely hang onto. Now, I might have 2-4 items that Ill purchase at one time...on the plus side, I guess Im saving money because Unique (more like Savers) isnt getting as much of my money.Unique? Not anymore... just like all the others.
My family use to come here all the time when we lived closer. Now with five kids needed to get summer clothes. Prices are outrageous!!! You can go to Walmart and pay half price for new clothes. Also manager was very rude. Will not come back unfortunately. Sorry to see a great store turn into what it is now.
Too EXPENSIVE. I went to the manager and expressed my feelings and she belittled me. I gave her a example of shorts WITH THE ORIGINAL TAGS ON for $6.99, their price was almost $10. I told her i used to be able to get Nike shirts here for less than $5 and she laughed at me and said I’d never find a Nike shirt for less than $5 there . I pulled the Nike shirt out of my cart that was $2.49. She was rude and stated that the prices HAVE NOT GONE UP. We shop at thrift stores for a reason. I will never donate to them again. I will donate to my local food shelf where I know they will price items affordable.
I have been to this establishment probably 100 times over 20 years. I have donated thousands of dollars of goods to them.In the last year or two, their prices have become next to outrageous for donated goods. I try to support local as often as I can. I understand that my dollar goes to give people good jobs. But, I will not pay nearly retail for something that has been used and often I may be buying at my own risk based on condition or usage by the previous owner. Please re-assess your pricing.
Love shopping here
I love this store. You never know what treasure you may find.
My favorite store they have good stuff if you take time
If youre looking to decorate your home with things from all over the world at LOW COST, tea sets/trinkets/candles/candle holders/artwork/kitchenware/etc. (some of which are entirely handmade), this is the place for you. If youre looking to go thrifting for clothing deals, this is NOT the place. Though, they have a GREAT selection, youre hard pressed to find something you ACTUALLY want to wear for less than $10-20 in the shirts, and $15-30 in pants.Their book section is full of things, but not much youd be interested in, unless youre in dire need of some kind of soup for souls, re-reading classic science fiction, or self-help books that are actually self indulgent.Their electronics selection appears to have many things youd be interested in, but the majority of their things that are said to function properly actually do not. It turns out they have no specialists, just people that need a job. Once you arrive home & get busy with the product, and find it does not work, their return policy is a slim chance of success. Their idea of testing a product is to see if it turns on. Job done. No shame.Actually, their return policy on everything is a slim chance. The employees have no specialty & very little tact or respect for customers & subsequent service.Luckily, I only go there for the decor & kitchenware. Ive found amazing things there at excellent prices.
Better than Goodwill for donating. They are grateful and take everything. Also a nice place to shop with a large selection of all types of items.
Awesome place to get great deals. Currently getting my first apartment and this place has been a life saver. Great deals will be back
One of the biggest thrifts in the metro, and well organized. However, the prices are BONKERS. Not only are 80% of items there unnecessarily and shockingly overpriced, but also the pricing is extremely inconsistent. Many times Ive found two of the same item and one is marked less than half the price of the other. The shoes, dresses, and coats are just ridiculously expensive for something used, and are also inconsistently priced.I go to Unique because of occasional decently priced things and because they have a lot of room to spread everything out so its easy to see.
Found things that I need for a great price
My wife and I come here once a week and used to always find something at a great price. Lately the prices have been ridiculous. Half of the used hardware costs the same if not more than brand new stuff at menards. The clothing prices go up and up. Why would I pay $20 for a shrunken worn out sweater when you can get a nice new one for less literally anywhere else? Tonight we found a broken medicine planner in a bag with one used lipstick for $7.99. We donate all of our stuff here but well be finding somewhere else. Its a thrift store for Christs sake!
Didnt offer me a bag and when I asked about a bag she told me it was .11 cents for the bag
Not gonna lie, its a mess. But I like bargain hunting and came out with some good stuff, so I cant complain!
