This is a hidden gem of a convenience store. I went in to get a drink when I was over by the Yale Health Center. It smelled wonderful in there so I decided to order lunch. I had a delicious spinach salad with a bunch of stuff on it. Delicious! I had eaten half of it before I thought to take a picture. I hope to try something else from here soon.

Great Neighborhood Market with really good pizza and sandwiches. The staff here are nice and very creative in the kitchen. I just tried their California pie and was impressed enough that I felt compelled to share a picture. I believe it includes Avacado, Arugala, Grilled Shrimp & a bit of lime & olive oilon top. I highly recommend it.

My favorite place to grab coffee (only $1?!) and food when I am in New Haven. I usually order pizza because it is filling and I always have leftovers. But they make quesadillas now so I get the shrimp quesadilla sometimes.

Generous with their pizza. Amazing business which has the heart to contribute to the community even in this tough Covid period. Thank you for your amazing pizza!

Made my sandwich wrong twice. Didn’t go back after the second time to fix it. Do yourself a favor and go to Good Nature if you want your sandwich made right and ready in under a half hour . As well they said 15 to 20 min . Took 25 to 30 mins. Doesn’t know items listed on menu. Ordered a cold Sandwich and a pizza

Great salads.

I tried this place twice, the first time was better, but not great. My first visit I had a chicken sandwich which was decent. The second visit (today) was not so good. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich was hardly warm and the cheese was not melted at all. There were a few slices of non-melted cheese... disappointed because it’s super close to the office where I work. I was hoping it could have been a better lunch spot. I may try again in a few months when they are more seasoned. Perhaps the issue is with the staff preparing the food. Please take this review as an opportunity to improve.

Awesome spot! This area is a total food desert and finally there’s somewhere to get basic groceries and a tasty meal! The store is small but has a lot of the necessities and great snacks.I’ve had the pizza, sandwiches and salads and they are all delicious! Super creative pizzas, yummy sandwiches with great veggie options and most important, great mega salads. My personal favorite pizza is the breakfast pizza (egg on pizza, who would’ve known?). I’m big on the veggie avocado sandwich too.Had their pizza delivered last night, nothing like a great pizza dinner courtesy of Petals

I ordered 7 pizzas for a birthday party. The service great, the workers were kind, and it was very quick! The pizza toppings were a hit and all of the pizzas had a nice crispy crust.

Try the breakfast pizza, which is a super yummy delicious creation! Havent tried many other menu items, but they all sound great. Friendly staff and interesting selection of grocery items, only thing is the selection is mostly high-end and quite expensive. They would probably have more business with a lower priced selection.

Awesome place, awesome food, awesome staff.Not only is the menu unique, they are constantly growing and staying on trend and innovative. Love the people as much as I love the food.Give this place a shot!

Delicious pizza! For gluten free people, I recomend 10 out 10. We got a bunch of pizzas for a house party and it was a success!

This place has SO much potential!! However, the girl that took my order today had SUCH A HORRIBLE ATTITUDE!! I walked in and she was on her phone, dis not greet me or nothing. I asked her a question and she answered without looking at me -again she was on the phone the entire time- I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and she didnt even ask me whT bread I wanted for that (they always ask me) she automatically assumed I wanted an english muffin. I asked what kind of bread it was going to be used for my sandwich and she said english muffin... I asked if that was the only bread they had - she rolled her eyes and said no. I then had to ask soo what options do I have??? She said white, wheat... I said ok can I please have it on white breas. She said ok - super annoyed - and went and told the cook I wanted white bread instead. I paid for my food, she didnt say anything at all, gave me my change and sat right back down to be on her phone. This is unacceptable. I did not get her name but Petals, do better. Whoever the girl was that was working the morning shift on 02/26/2020 needs to go!! I will literally turn around and take my business elsewhere if I walk in and I see her there again.

Ok selection. Expensive. Hot food is slow and they messed up multiple orders. I got charged for a specialty pizza (what I ordered) and received a plain cheese pizza. Will not go here again.

This store is AMAZING, compared to other stores in the community the prices are affordable, the food is made to order (gourmet style sandwiches ) and the selection are great for a local community store . There were a couple hiccups however we all know it takes time to perfect some things . What I love is every purchase supports a program thats strengthens this community .CONNCAT offers free phlebotomy, medical billing and coding as well as culinary art classes for all New Haven residence thats elgible. The people leave certified and with jobs, even if hired at Petals or CONNCAT cafe. The healthy fresh choices are amazing . Our favorite is the avocado veggie with chicken and mozzarella added on facashia bread with Chipotle sauce. I personally like it better than Panera. This store is a gem and we are honored to have it here.Our inner city needed this, especially with the gentrification thats taking place. This sort of solidifies our original community space instead of being pushed out. Those of us who have lived here for more than half our lives, if not our entire lives can truly appreciate this as well as provide them grace as they perfect their process. I strongly suggest anyone to stop by, have patience and if you can I strongly suggest ordering your food in advance if youre on your lunch break. Good food takes time. Also, dont forget to utilize Grub hub!Did I mention Conncat also offers afterschool programs that are free for our community . The children take culinary art, drama and music classes! So every dollar spent here regenerates back into strengthen our community .
