I just got back from Israel and was really craving that authentic middle eastern food. Thank goodness for this place. Great food at a little hole in the wall place. One those places that you could easily accidentally miss if you don’t know, however, you wouldn’t want to miss once you do know.
Amazing selection of middle eastern goods with a levantine bias. Where else are you going to find Jameedna or Maamoul in CT? Very sweet owners as well.
This place is top notch. Quality of food is exemplary- the falafel is simply divine Employees are friendly, ambience is nice, and i love all the different culinary items. One suggestion is to spruce up the bench outside since there’s no indoor sitting but that’s an easy fix. Awesome place to grab a quick, delicious, middle eastern bite
Aint much to look at, but that made-to-order, piping hot schawarma was delicious. Completely packed with chicken. It was almost too much to finish in one sitting. Almost.
Just amazing. why dont they advertise strongly? I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!!!
Best falafel sandwich in New Haven. By far. Great little place run by a very nice family.
Delicious food, great prices, lovely people! For those whove been to Middle east, this could be their favorite middle eastern corner copy-pasted at your neighbourhood!PS. if youre lucky, you might run into some Turkish soap operas dubbed in Arabic as youre biting your falafel sandwich and taking a sip of your tea! Loved it!(Update: They now have homemade tahini desert! dont forget to ask about it if youre there! )
Best falafel I’ve had this side of the ocean!!!! The middle eastern food here is delicious and a great value.
I came two times between 4 and 5 pm, always close. They should modify the hour in Google. 0 stars
I have been coming here for years. Its run by a lovely family and they make amazing food. A hidden gem for sure. Try their falafel! It blows mamouns out of the water.
Friendly staff, delicious lamb shawarma wrap and convenient spot to grab some food to go coming to or from East Rock Park.
This place is a little hole in the wall with fantastic food. So far Ive had the shawerama and the falafel and both were fantastic. Prices are good here too.
They keep NOTHING in stock. I honestly dont know how they stay in business. Their posted hours are not correct they dont have real hours. I lived next door for a while and they would close for hours during a week day for no reason. Its worth walking s little further to any other local store, even Shell station who charges astronomical pricing
My wife and I had lunch here. Its not much to look at, but the food was very good, and the price was even better. If youre looking for good falafel, and you dont want to go all the way downtown for Mamouns, this is a very solid choice. Their chicken is also very tasty.
Best falafel, hummus, and baba ghanoush in town. Really nice family.
This is not just your average convenience store. The reason for the four stars is their falafel, it is the best in New Haven no question.
Bought a bottle of water yesterday. And it was 2013’s, expired by 2016. Too bad!
Excellent Tasty Food !
Chicken shawarma wrap
Really needs to be cleaned up a bit to fit in the neighborhood
