Walmart has all the basic food supplies and a nice wine section, too. There is a covered pick-up area for those that order online. In honor of our Combat Wounded Veterans, there is special parking close to the front of the store.

Good luck getting anyone to answer a phone here. I have tried many times and after countless rings they disconnect you.

I forget the ladies name but she worked in electronics and was very knowledgeable about all the new tech. Phones tablets ECT... Other than that was a poor experience as far as cleanliness and friendliness

I dont know if I have EVER been in a more disgusting store...the rest rooms smelled like an outhouse that has been sitting in 100 degree blazing sun. Just completely gross...dirty, shelves bare, which I know is happening everywhere...point being? Dont have product to stock? Clean the damn store..

I dont know if they are going through and moving things, but items in all departments are not matched with the price below. I wanted to know how much 20 rolls of Scott toilet paper was but it was in a Great Value spot, and no correct price to be found. I also was looking for Lysol wipes and the prices were not reflecting the right item above them. Also had issues with prices not matching in the grocery section. Store is clean, however, and associates are awesome!!

Everything is good until you get to the checkouts. Only 2 lanes with actual employees and 30 self checkouts. Wanna shop not work.

With Walmarts well known cashier to customer ratio, the numbers have dwindled even more. Instead of having 3 registers open for the massive lines that stretch 7 customers deep, leaving other customers to fight the even longer lines to self check out. Watching as 4/5 self check out clerks to watch over potential shop lifters through their check out centers, talking and standing there with their phones not assisting with any of the customers. Ive not shopped in Walmart for 7 months due to the fact of this and now seeing it getting even worse with customer relations has boggled me even more. Though you may find what you are looking for, good luck getting it and getting out at a timely manner.

Wheres the people that worked at this Walmart were a little nicer they act like they always have an attitude, I know its hard dealing with the public but kindness is free it doesnt cost a dime

In self check out today. Granted, very busy, so not sure where management was to help the 1 person in self check out. That being said, self check out assistant very loudly being rude, dismissive, and slow! Unprofessional. I wouldnt normally complain, but Ive encountered this same person before, when it was slow. Same poor attitude from her. I gladly scan my own groceries so, dont want to be made to feel like Im inconveniencing an attendant for something I need her to scan so I can move forward. She tends to stay at the last register for a VERY long time, then talk to people like shes being inconvenienced if they need help and shes called on to acctually do her job. I mean, the nerve of customers! Eye roll.

The lady that was working as a cashier, was very rude. At first I thought maybe she was having a bad day. (We all have those.) However, when she turned around and was laughing with the other cashier, it became clear in that moment that she definitely had an attitude problem of some sort. (Yes, I did greet her with warmness and kindness.)I normally do my shopping in Havelock, or Morehead City and the people here are much more friendlier. Next time, I will think twice about going to the New Bern Walmart.

I love walmart..finally. I order online and we do the curb side pick up. I absolutely love it. Saves us alot of time by shopping online. Especially with having children and animals.. so convenient. Whoever came up with this idea did a great job. THANK YOU. and THANK YOU walmart employees for doing my grocery shopping for me. 🙂

Out of a lot of things I looked for today. Very limited on straight talk phones and what a horrible time I had trying to get it up and running... Parking seems to ALWAYS be full and cluttered. Gentleman very helpful in electronics. This Wal Mart seems to always be busier than usual...

Ordered a pick up of a small number of grocery items on Sunday 10/10/21. Was notified that pick up was ready. However when I showed up, I could not pick up my order because I was told the system was back logged and not ready for pickup, eventhough I was notified via email and text that the pick up is ready. Had to return to pick up the next day, Monday 10/11/21.At that time I had to wait for an hour in my car to find out that they could not find my order, which I saw in a blue bin in the store with my name on it the first time I went to try to pick up. Bad service, unorganized and no supervisor available to help customers as needed. Very bad experience. Don’t think I will be shopping at Walmart again.

Easy to shop if you know where to go to. Too many people for my taste

If you are in need of a laptop computer, DO NOT go here. My brother and I were browsing in the computer section, came across an ASUS I was interested in purchasing. Saw TWO employees assigned to that very area, and do you think ONE of them could bother to approach us and see if we needed any assistance? NOPE. The guy with the weird beard simply walked around the aisles trying to look busy, accomplishing nothing. The other guy was busy unloading a pallet of stuff, but he looked directly at us, saw us standing there for over 10 minutes, and not once did either of them even acknowledge our existence let alone off to help. So there goes a $1000 sale because these two workers could care less about customers. Fine by me, just dropped that money on Amazon, laptop on the way. Go elsewhere if you need help in the computer section, they do not care at all.

The staff here is friendly......*IF* you can find anyone. They have more checkout lanes than actual cashiers. If I wanted to scan & bag, I would have applied for the job. And the damn floor cleaner that drives itself around is annoying! Youre replacing your employees with robots & customers! When does my 401k kick in for doing YOUR job?

It was fine as usual. I used the self-checkout so I didnt experience the employees attitude so I cannot judge that part of my experience. However a couple of months ago you had one cashier that was so rude that I let it affect my entire day! Thats sad and uncalled for.

Find some nice prices there sometimes its a little too busy for me but I do shop there at least once a week so continue to shop

Every time I think this place cant get any worse.... it does. Its filthy, not all, there are still a few good ones left, but most of the employees are so rude and lazy. They supposedly cleaned up the store and theres a bunch of new people there but it has only gotten worse. If we could get a super target anywhere near us I would never step foot in that store every again.

Went in and found exactly what I was looking for! No wait at the self checkout and got to work. Good trip and for a change they had what I was looking for in stock. Thank goodness.

Hate shopping here. People are rude and its nasty. Shelves are never stocked. Always out of everything. The shoppers for home delivery are idiots. Leave out a lot of your order. Customer service is horrible and you really have to watch buying produce. Most of the time its old.

Went in for just a few quick things.. seems like their produce has really been slacking. Variety of product seems limited. Store itself looked clean.

Ordered online groceries and pulled up and had them brought out to the car for the first time, it was great!

One of the nicer Wal-Marts in the area. Clean, and generally speaking most of the employees are pleasant to deal with. Im not a fan of Wal Mart, but this one is one of those rare positive experiences.

Overall not a bad experience here. Shelves stocked and items readily accessible. Limited employee interaction with customers tho and it is a bit orating to be forced into self checkout (remind me who is getting paid to work?)....only then to be stopped on the way out so someone can verify everything on my receipt is matched to items in cart.....

Usually a bad shopping experience here unless you get lucky. But particularly awful this time. Literally no staff on the floor at all. Everything is so poorly merchandised you cant find anything so you wander around the store like a zombie. The only good thing about it is you get your steps in.

I went to return items and I forgot one and the woman made a big deal about it she had an attitude and started throwing things and was just down right rude... I dont remember her name but I definitely remember her face.

Tried to call ahead to ask a question about the jewelry department and got hung up on 3 times. Website said someone would be in the jewelry department until 11, got there at 10:20 just for them to rudely tell me the girl left at 10 and no one else could help me. How do y’all have all these employees walking around the store doing nothing and no one can answer a phone?

Its a Walmart. Lol. Still, having been to Walmarts across the county, this one is at least clean and usually fully stocked. Not my fav place to shop, but more than acceptable.

The customer service at this store was absolutely embarrassing, I myself am a employee for customer service, not only do the employees not greet you when you walk up the the counter or area they are working at, they act like some one has pulled there arm off and beat them with it, they have no desire to be in the store or to assist a customer when a customer is asking. I walked by the “Store Lead” with my arms full of stuff, didn’t so much as say hello or ask if she could help. I stopped being a regular Walmart customer a long time ago and the experience I had today did not change my mind. It’s very sad that Walmart is known for there lousy customer service. Sam Walton is turning over in his grave with what has happened to his company, y’all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Absolutely the worst wal mart. No registers working and all the workers just stand around doing nothing but socializing. Left my cart full and went to Harris Teeter

Their was only one register open for cash and waited in line for over 25 minutes, they need to have more cash lanes open for customers plus self check out should have cash or credit.

Fail....Didnt inform me that one of my pick up items was out of stock. After driving 30 minutes there to get it, they put my order in the trunk and I drove 30 minutes back home before I found out I had an important missing item.

Half the time when you look something up and it says its in stock like a movie Decendants and there should be someone in the photo department at all times

Never got in the store. Was stopped by someone at the door with a non pleasant attitude to tell the person I was with he couldnt go in the store without a mask. They didnt even offer to give him a mask. Walmart has now lost us as customers. Went to the Neighborhood Walmart and was greeted by nice employees and was not turned away.

Flowers in the food area had a lot of mold on them I cant believe they still try to sell them and had mold near the food

Pathetic. they do not answer the phone. you can get the pharmacy or food delivery but they will not transfer your call. horrible customer service. grocery store is always out of the items you came for. If you need to ask a question about a store item, an out of stock item, GOOD LUCK with that.

If u shopped regularly in this store prior to computer order and drive down and pick up order. It was far better store. Now u can not find store stocked with food item u need much of the time u now have to go to another store. Shelves are often empty. And items are never in same location. Employees dont know where items are from day to day and express. Up set at that. Not good experience shopping

Normally walmart is an average place. Today as I was leaving they were checking your receipts at the door. As I waited in line I noticed he waived the white people thru without checking their receipts but checked all the black people. Very disappointed

I went to money center and Anne see I waited on line but she keep talking and laughing. Her co worker try to leave but she try to talk because she doesnt want to help me. she called me and I go to the counter then she pretend to cough and not cover her mouth. She did that on purpose because Im Asian and Im not speak English very good. Her face looks very angry and unwelcome me to the money center.

I go in and get everything that I am looking for. Self checkout is most likely the quickest way to checkout. Most of the regular checkout lines or mostly closed probably do to covid. When everything is busy I checkout from the garden ctr.

The food was great but there was to many flies for me

They put all their self-checkout as cards only which means if youre paying cash you have to stand on the long line because they only have one or two cashiers

I have been Trying to call for the 1/2 hour and have been hanging up and have tried to be connected to all departments and not one person pick up the phone. Wanted to be transferred to the garden center. Ugh!!!

Almost all the employees have zero product knowledge or where something would be. Need better training.

Garden center was very understocked. Only one cashier with a line of 10 people waiting to be checked out. I had a question of an associate and he was helpful.

Enjoyed looking around Thursday. Found everything I needed. When I went to checkout in the back at garden center was very slow getting people checked out.

We needed a new tv, the lady that helped me was very nice, she said she had one like I bought and it was still working fine. I should have ask for help getting it in my car, I am 70 years old and 4 foot 11 inches tall, it took me a while but I did get it in the back seat.🙏

Wal mart in New Bern needs to teach there employees about cdc guidelines. Leaving the store a associate asked to see our receipt. My wife showed it in where he could totally see everything and asked him not to touch the receipt. The man kept saying he needed to and did. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE WITH COVID RIGHT NOW. We have been at other stores including wal marts and have never had a problem with associates not listening and following the guidelines. Another thing too this associate wasnt even wearing his mask right covering both his nose and mouth. Again UNACCEPTABLE

They are always out of everything we try to order. If you go inside you will find that they are always out of half the groceries. Its like they never order any stock

Nice big store, not as crowded as expected on a Sunday evening. I can usually find any & everything that Im looking for plus lots more! 😁 Could use a couple more checkout counters and their self checkout was closed which caused a back up with people who had a large purchase mixed with people who only had a few items. No sign or reason why the express do it yourself was closed.

It was too crowded and Im really really getting tired of them not having cashiers there. If I wanted to be a cashier thats what I would be.

This walmart is okay. Its certainly not my favorite. Its better than it used to be. That said, this location has a decent selection, and the usual good prices that weve all come to expect from walmart. Some of the associates are helpful and friendly, while others seem to just hate their jobs. I still visit this location, but only when I cant avoid it.

Where is the fresh produce? Very disappointing at this store anytime Ive been and need to get produce.

My review is for the pickup only. I most frequently go to havelock for my pickups, and I have never waited longer than 1 minute for someone to be at my car before or after calling or checking in. At this location, I have never waited less than 10 minutes for my order. I have been sitting in the parking lot after calling for 18 minutes, my child is screaming in the car, no one else waiting but me, and Im still waiting. Very disappointed.Edit: they came at exactly 20 minutes. When I got home, I realized that a container that they picked for me has the wrong size lid.. for an air tight container.. so now I have to go back to walmart and go in anyway... Ruining the purpose of pick up.. to save time. Now Ill be spending more time than had I just gone to the store myself..

Well kept Walmart. Easy to navigate up until 7:00pm local when they started locking doors.

Date to event: April 6,2021Time of event 9:20pmFirst the lady at register couldnt get coupon to work. Then she couldnt cancel a transaction and had to ask a person to press ONE button to show where cancel button was. Then I was told I cant buy the ENFAMIL box when the coupon clearly states ANY BOX, ANY SIZE, ANY ENFAMIL INCLUDING EIGHT OTHER TYPES. Then finally CSM came and I asked her why I cant buy the Enfamil box I want when its clearly stated I can buy it and coupon would apply. After agreeing I had to stand at register for 10 minutes before I left without coupon being applied when all that was required was for CSM to walk 10 steps and enter her code. and While i waited, she stood in next isle over looking at me and didnt once say Ill be over there to completw the transaction. SIMPLY PATHETIC!!!Worst part is WALMART will probably not even care for the negative feedbacks

No problems covid wise, but my only issue was the lady at checkout just left the register and never came back while checking us out.

Stood in checkout line almost 30 minutes. When you pick up green bananas and theyre yellow when you get home theres a problem. I voiced concerned to the WalMart employee at the door and they laughed it off. A very poor shopping experience.

Standard Walmart. The good you can get almost anything you need in one place. The bad the customer service is horrendous.

They said they lost the keys to the jewelry department so they closed it for a few days........really?

I started using the Walmart pay app several weeks ago since they dont accept Google Pay. Totally touchless, you just scan the barcode on the checkout terminal. The app also helps you locate any item in the store and look up a price from a product barcode. You also get 3 cents a gallon off gas at the Walmart Neighborhood store gas station and any Murphy USA station like Havelock and Morehead. Exceptional app and saves money.

Clean and organized very friendly service.

The cashier was very nice and helpful. I understand that there are plenty of self-checkout stations but during this Season they should have more than two lanes with people checkout stations open.
