Look every single item sold in this store is at least 25% more expensive than the surrounding stores but they also are the only store in the area that carries all the things you need if youre into healthy eating. Cream of Rice, Almond Butter, grass fed beef, fresh fish, the best vegetables, and also the fastest self-checkout of any store.If youre only looking to buy cheap eggs, milk, cereal and bread for the family however I would recommend you go somewhere else.

Shopped and there were two middle aged deli employees one male and one female just talking up a storm during my order. Very inattentive. Weighed my meat, dropped a slice and still stuck the sticker on for total meat weighed. I could see why these employees could be valuable to this particular location given the Portuguese American clientele and thats cool but this particular experience was a bit unprofessional and annoying.

My family has been doing business with Stop and Shop since before me and my brother were born, my mother and her family have shopped there for years and passed on the tradition of having me and my brother going there for all of our food options. I am friendly with the employees and staff and always say hi to them. My father would go there for his gas and snacks, I will recommend this store to my friends and family.

Ive been coming to this stop & shop since Ive moved to New Bedford 3 years ago. The employees are always helpful and friendly.

It is frustrating at times. No good 80/20 ground beef- the packs that are not pressed in a rectangular shape. The packs like that always taste weird. Many times everyday items are out of stock. Also I feel like the gas points system is kind of a scam because your gas prices are often 10-20 cents more per gallon than other local gas stations so Id have to buy extra food just to match those prices. Also the points expire too soon in my opinion.

This stop n shop in new Bedford I thought was ok until I did some shopping the other day and bought some strawberries, blackberries, and kiwi. The strawberries and blackberries were moldy and the kiwi was similar to eating an apple. It grossed me out pretty bad and makes me question just what old expired products there trying to push to customers. I mean its one thing if one of the three items was old and moldy but all of them. Really stop n shop!?!

Put my groceries in the car. Then i have someone yellin i didnt pay ! Had to go back in and pay again. Obviously their register was messed up. Had to tell the lady i didnt appreciate her sayin i didnt pay, my card didnt go thru because the register malfunctioned. Plus ive had 2 experiences with bad meat with no appologies, just a refund. To shaws i will go from now on !!!!

Best gas around! I go there for my gas regularly. My car runs so much better with their gas and I get better mileage!

Perfectly adequate but pricey, and the self-checkout system is unnecessarily complex and finnicky.I am not a Stop and Shop regular and was rewarded with wheel-locked carts and chewing-gum on my shoe.

Big shout out to Dawn in Bakery at the Dartmouth st New Bedford Stop and Shop. She went above and beyond to get a cake not readily available for my sons 21st birthday. She was all by herself, extremely short staffed. THANK YOU DAWN

Ok but, very expensive when you compare with Market Basket. Example? Why is Coke $1.79 at Market basket but $2.19 at stop and shop. Its the SANE thing. Only one if many examples. Convenient but expensive.

Very disappointed. Their produce lately is very poor. I dont know where they are buying it from but it is so small.Sweet potatoes, garlic, potatoes and onions. Ive had to go to other stores to get my produce.

Had an issue with stuff being missing from a pick up order. They explained there was a system issue and corrected it politely and right away for me.

Dartmouth St. store sometimes has hardly anything on the shelves. Today, I went again and the 2 things I wanted, they didnt have. Next time, maybe?

The store is in a convenient location staff is friendly and the floral Dept is incredible the floral staff is super friendly and helpful and their prices are less expensive than other florists in the area and quality is far betterAnd they do funeral and wedding flowers

I enjoy this location very much. I was a bit disappointed that for 2 weeks in a row, they were out of several items on my shopping list which makes things difficult being a mom of 6, and having very little Extra time to return and or shop somewhere else to get everything but overall a satisfied customer for sure!

This place desperately needs more baggers, it seems as though even on busy days a good amount of the cashiers are left without a bagger.

I come here with a list that I actually save $1 per item, without a sale. I save even more when they go on sale. Their competitor cannot justify charging $1 extra, per item. The clientele can be questionable, enough that this store hires a police man to stand at the exit. According to him they have a huge shoplifting problem. I witnessed it myself when a Haitian woman, old enough to know better (50s?) tried to steal a $3 bag of potting soil.All stores could have cleaner floors, but its not a concern. Employees always seem nice. You will definitely save money shopping here.. just watch your purse.

Stop n shop has always been my favorite grocery store.Not as many choices as Shaws or Market Basket, but I still choose Stop n shop.I think the overall experience is the best here.

Always clean! Lots of parking! Handicap parking and wheelchair accessible! Friendly staff! Large selection of food, beverages, toiletries, cosmetics, medicines and household goods! Easy to find on the main road! And easy to find right off of the highway exit! Lots of sales and love using my manufacturers coupons as well as my online coupons and rewards card!

I was so impressed with the cleanliness and displays today. Fresh fruit and vegetables as soon as you walk in displayed like for a commercial. The foods to go and cooked turkeys were lunch and supper for my family. The deli was immaculate. Loved all the fresh healthy options!!! Staff was so friendly too!!

I went to stop n shop to pick up a few items. I bought a 4pk of muffins. The cashier told me it was buy 1 get 1 free. I toldHer stop n shop on kings hwy told me i had to buy what was pre pkg. I wish i didnt throw my receipt away so the cashier could be acknowledged.

This Stop and Shop is a good grocery store because they have great selections fresh produce and meats, an olive bar, fair selection at the deli, as well as premade salads and precooked meals at the deli. Workers are very friendly and the customers are usually friendly locals from Fairhaven. They are pricier and have less of a selection than the competition MB, but for me its worth it. Closer, friendlier, quicker, and easier.

Had a crabby cashier when going through the 12 items or less, we had 2 boxes unopened of yogurt(24 total) and the lady complained that it was over 12 items and it shouldnt of been in the boxes still. I agree it was over 12 items but the gentleman that was stocking it gave it to us in the boxes and we also thought it would make it easier to ring in. But she was so rude about saying it, I didnt feel she should of said anything we tried making it easy there was only 2 registers open.the line for more than 12 was so long and we had just the yogurt, maybe she didnt want to do any work at all but the store itself should of had at least 1 more register open. I love going there and this was the first time we dealt with such a rude cashier.

I can always count on getting fresh fruits here, especially during the summer time. The whole watermelons are hugh and sometime on sale for just $5.00. I also buy my extra firm tofu from here because the organic is usually 2 for 5

There WIC signs are very misleading and incorrect. I have paid for things they claim is newly covered. Unsweetened apple sauce yes. Flavored ones no. Like total disaster cashing out. Just paid for it and then had them refund my credit card. Shaws has always had the WIC line up all in order.

Love coming here for last minute Pick ups, Alot of open Registers so its in n out.alot of weekly sales on top of earning gas points. Cashiers n employees here are friendly n very helpful when needed. You can also refill your medications while you shop.

Not as clean as some other Stop n Shops but it always has what I need. There never seems to be enough people at the registers, so glad that they have the self checkouts. This is definitely a busy store. I can almost always get what i want there, it just means I have to wait in line. I try to keep from going to this particular one.

This store is close to home so I am always there! The morning cashier Sherri is my favorite! The others are good too though!! Open good hours too!

If you are going to give your customers plastic bags then give them decent ones. All my groceries fell down because the bottom of the bags were torn and the weight wasnt near heavy at all. Honestly, let us know that your plastic bags are more fragile than ever so that we can be extra careful or bring our own bags. Be smart if you want to keep your customers.

Stop & Shop is a great place to grab whatever you need to grab and they always have extra things to grab that you always end up thinking that you dont need but you end up grabbing it by time you get out the store anyway the pricing here is mediocre you know I personally wouldnt shop like a lot here but I do shop here for smaller things you know and because its close by easy access and the people are polite very helpful great things to say about this place

This is a great supermarket. The only thing that truly is a problem, is that when they run out of inventory, EVEN THINGS ON SALE, they dont restock the inventory on their shelves in any kind of quickness. Sometimes, they dont restock the inventory for 1--2 weeks...sometimes longer.

This location in New Bedford on Dartmouth street has made a lot of changes and everything is fresh. Since Ive moved I dont told taking the 30 min ride.

Most cashiers are helpful and pleasant. There is usually a lot of inventory replenishment going on during store hours which can block aisles. There is a wider selection of products than some of the other supermarkets in Dartmouth.

I just had the worst service purchasing flowers from this florist. There was no interest in what I wanted but rather what this per son thought . Could sense her anxiery guessshe was having a bad day. I have purchased flowers here many times they were always so helpful and I would get beautiful flowers. She cut these flowers too short and that didnt look as pretty. No satisfied. I should have left them or asked for the manager. I will think twice the next time. I this person is serving I would not waste my time. She needs to realize she is there for the customer not the customer there for her. I did mention they didnt look that nice cut that short. But no comment.

The worse baggers in the world.You would think they bought the bags themselves.Always try to put my bread in a bag with something heavy.And then give me attitude when i put my bread in its own bag while Im screaming common effing sense.
