Went there for an espresso and bought a bolacha maria cake. OMG!! AMAZING

The people behind the counter are super friendly and helpful with the bounty of AMAZING pastries. The espresso is incredible (and I owned a cafe once upon a time) and the price makes for an in redibke bargain. Super clean and inviting space. 5 stars all day long

Its delicious baked goods with coffee. My son thought his hot chocolate was great. Hits the spot on a cold day. Cheap prices too!

The pastries are delicious, the ham and cheese with the water bread is Devine! The staff is very nice. The reason why I gave it a 4 star is their coffee, it has no flavor, very weak. They need to work on getting a better coffee in there, and when they do... the place is perfect!

Great atmosphere! You sit for hours undisturbed...just like in Europe. You dont get the bums rush. Treats are nice. Had a ham and cheese sandwich with water bread. Tasty!

Finally found a elegant coffee shop where I can relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee. The food and pasteries are excellent. Dont think you can get something that is bad. Staff is extremely friendly. Highly recommended!!

Excellent. A wonderful place. A little oasis of pastry heaven. The decor is stylish and contemporary. The service is nice and friendly. The pastry is old world excellent. They make good coffee which we enjoyed. They also have sweetbreads and other bread goods. It is open until 8 p.m. every night for after dinner desserts or dates.

I ordered my Dad’s 60th birthday cake from Chocolate E Pimenta, because it was close to the event location. When I went to pick up the cake instead of it being gold, it was brown. The colors were completely dull. We wanted strawberry filling, thinking there would be real strawberry’s in the middle. No, not at all. Instead it was strawberry jam. The cake tasted like straight boxed cake. The top tear was chocolate marble with cream filling, which tasted nasty. We basically wasted $180 for nothing.I spoke to the owner’s daughter. She was RUDE and unprofessional. The owners daughter told me, the cake is a best seller, that she has never had a complaint. That me not liking the cake was a personal preference, after telling her I was a sweets fanatic and only had two bites of the cake. I asked around to guests, who did not like the cake. There was A LOT of cake left over. My entire family commented on how nasty the cake tasted, and the horrible after taste. I indicated this too the owners daughter. She kept yelling at me that it’s a personal preference, she is not refunding me anything. That I can bad mouth the bakery, all I want, but they have repeat customers. PLEASE save yourself the trouble, because it’s not worth your money or time. I would NOT EVER recommend this place. No level of professionalism.

The owner or manager had everything they needed to make a breve but refused to for some reason. She laughed at my request. Was not treated fairly. They also sold me items to go and provided no silverware. A lot of weird small problems to have shouldve been handled differently. The young girl working under the manager was very nice, though. Definitely wont be going back here for a quick bite and a latte.

Awesome place. They woman behind the counter was very helpful and made our panni sandwiches with prosciutto and português cheese. They have a huge selection of desserts as well. Great place!

Sounds to me like the person with the cake problem didnt like it made such a stink about it then they got evryone else not liking the cake they probally went in there being rude and the owners daughter is right it is a personal preference ! and because they didnt like it want to bad mouth the bakery. This is the best bakery around. 5 star use to be the best but they closed. Out of all the bakeries in new bedford, this bakery is the most closest to being like 5 star bakery everything they make is just so wonderful...I dont like to buy anywhere else. one time the credit card machine was down and I was upset I didnt have cash on me so I had to go to another bakery and wasnt happy because I wanted cocolate pimentas bread not the the other bakery bread.. now I take cash with me just in case, because they just are the best in new bedford, and I dont want to have to go some where else if their machine be down again. They are always nice freindly and very helpful, and oh my gosh the fresh cheese they make is also the best around ! I love this bakery so much and have told so many people about them that now, y friends and family dont buy pops from any where else but here : )

A good portuguese bakery. Personal simpaticas and products with great taste.

Of course in any business there is always a less educated one, but in addition the service is great and the products are of the highest quality. You are wonderful and very friendly.
