Dont try to turn left onto Van Buren St from Mt Pleasant St because its impossible. Instead, arrive via Purchase St, turn R on Van Buren st and up the road theres a dirt lot where you turn around and line up on the Van Buren street next to the company. No parking on company grounds. Nice people, they took me earlier and unloaded me fast. Lumper is fleet check and cash only.

Before 5 AM it makes no sense to come. The office starts at 5, put the truck as close to the office as possible (to check the seal). At receiving, you give away your BOLs, and you receive papers for lumpers. Go to the entrance to the warehouse (inside the office) and wait for the main lumper. Give him these papers, tell him: where is the truck, the numbers of the truck and trailer and the name of your company, go to the truck to wait for it to check the seal. After he collects information from the entire lineup, he will approach each person and fill the seal and give the door. On average, unloading takes 4 hours. You can go to bed, you will tell the amount all the same main lumper, for unloading. Write out a check and go to the office to lumpers and there they will give you BOL. Very slow guys.

The consumer store is closed until later in August of 2021. Angry that they didn’t update their hours, but great place overall.

I read negative reviews here and was ready for some horrible experience. But honestly cant complain much. Had an appointment at 6 AM. Checked in at 6 (they start at 6 now), after checking my seal got the door immediately. By 8 was completely unloaded. Paid 87$ for a full load. Very limited parking on Van Burren St! Receiver is very polite. If another load here will be offered, will gladly accept it.

This Place is wastage of time. Everyday They have same excuse That their system is down. They don’t care about your time even though u have other Appointments or delivery. And if by any Chance Driver Miss the Appointment u have to Pay 500$ to make next Appointment. But they have right to Ruined up your Day. Its next to impossible to find organic type stores in New Bedford. So when I found this gem I was super thrilled. I love shopping here.They sell wonderful products and have the same customer service to match.Always a great experience coming here.

Park on the VAN BUREN Street closer to office. Had an appointment for 9am. Got the door right away after the checkin at 6am. They need to check SEAL or PADLOCK before you open the trailer. If you don’t have it you will pay $250 FINE! Paid LUMPER FEE $248 for full truck at 9am. They accept cash or check. Started to unload me at 11am. Got my paperwork at. Slow and expensive guys. Restroom key you can get on checkin desk.

Checked in at 5am. Appointment was at 7am. Dude comes to me 10 minutes before 9 to ask for lumper fee. Its almost 11. Still here. Not getting paid to sit here but they get paid to waste your time. BS

I went for fresh tumeric today. Ive always paid $15.00 per pound. Today $22.00 per pound. Looks like i will be finding a new supplier. A $7.00 jump. What a shame

Not a very pleasant place to deliver to. They took 4 +hours to unload after the scheduled appointment time.During this there were no restroom facilities and the lady in the receiving office looked at me like I was crazy for asking.

We live in New Bedford. So visiting Sid Wainer and Son seems like a no brainer. Yet, it wasnt until recently that we started making bi-weekly visits. Why did it take so long?Seriously, its always worth the trip. They have, without a doubt the best produce. Great speciality items an amazing deli with imported meats, and always something to snack on if you are hungry.Fresh squeeze orange juice, Apple Cider when in season puts grocery store choices to shame. An enormous selection cheese.Find a way to visit this jewel.

Bought some expensive Madras curry powder flat tasted like I put sawdust into the sauce. Then rectified the meal the next day by biting .41 cents if atomic curry from the Harvest in Central Square, Cambridge. Complained on their site and was ignored. These people are only interested in money.

I’m very happy with this vendor and the staff including the reps who take the orders, the front people who set up your account and the drivers. Drivers I’v had for 4 years are better thanFedex and almost as good as UPS. Product is excellent though a little pricey but worth it.

Unloading, they wanted to charge me $200 as per their info, I had not appoitment,so in the future be sure you do have an appointment, but I did had one, I contact the broker and in 5 minutes without a charge I was getting unloaded (something to think about ah!) Never the less they also had posted on their company office that if you dont have a seal or pad lock you will have to pay $200, I did no had a seal I was not given any, but I always even with a seal I put one. LUMPER $249, so just watch out, they do want your $$$$$$$

Got unloaded relatively quick for seven pallets and there was a bathroom available. But as someone else noted, most of these people are unnecessarily rude. And I mean unnecessarily rude by New England standards, mind you. Also, theres no on-site parking but you can park on the street.

They have a vacant empty lot across the street they wont let you take your break in.
