Tasty sweet treats and old school arcade games.We ordered the Mr. Maple with Vegan vanilla ice cream. It was a great combination of sweet cool ice cream and warm salted waffle. The cookie butter was a nice touch for some more salt, sweet, and fat.Easy hangout spot thats great for friends, date night, or kids. Look forward to going back again soon 🍨🕹️👍

I dont even know where to start! What a fun and eclectic place. Free arcade games, one of a kind deserts, a comfortable environment and a super friendly staff make this a staple of any Nashville night out. So far Ive tried the Cookie Monster (ridiculous), the Son of a Reeses (insane), the tribble (classic), a hot fudge Sunday milkshake (my favorite) and a draft root beer. I cant even recommend anything because its all incredible and overwhelming in the best way. I highly recommend you clear your schedule after a visit though... Theres no way you wont eat everything!

This place combines the two conflicting attributes of great date spot and perfect place to bring your kids. This would be a great place for single parents that are dating. Oh yeah, the treats are extremely good. Get the Cookie Monster and you won’t regret it. Their floats are the bees knees as well.

If only this place was closer to where I live, I would be here every day. The atmosphere and design is perfect. Plus being owned and created by one of my favorite people in the world, Olan Rogers, is a huge plus. If you are looking for some good times, specialty sodas, and floats. This place is for you.

The Monday was fantastic! The waffle and ice cream combo is new for me and its pretty darn great. They also have some arcade games that feel new and crisp. Definitely worth a visit.

This place smells so good as soon as you walk into the door. The food was AMAZING! They have some games to play for free to occupy the kids and a little area upstairs to lounge.

We loved it! Simple, but wonderful. Super chill atmosphere and we loved the free arcade games. We had a chocolate Italian soda and the Freaking Fosters. Both were AMAZING! We love Olan and this place was a highlight on our Nashville trip.

My daughter and I went to The Soda Parlor and enjoyed both the atmosphere and the desserts. I had the “Cinnamon Bun”. It’s not really a cinnamon bun, but a heavenly delectable mixture of hot cinnamon waffles topped with pralines and cream ice cream, cookie butter, pecans, whipped cream, and caramel. I overheard the staff tell a customer that it’s the “Staff Favorite” so I’m glad I made that choice prior to hearing them say it. It was perfect!The Soda Parlor has fun old school video games like Centipede, Galaga, Pac Man, and many others. All of the games are free to play!! Interestingly, it’s not loud from the gaming.The soda shop has tall ceilings, gently piped in rock music, is contemporary and open, has a flair of natural wood, spaces for computers, and coffee shop appeal. It’s an amalgamation of Starbucks, Arnold’s (Happy Days), and a 1980’s Arcade. They also sell kitschy and fun novelty gear as well as their own apparel.If you haven’t tried it out yet you’ll find it’s easy to love!

Not a whole lot of options but what they are offering is pretty delicious! Ive had the orange float once before and it was yummy! This time I tried an ice cream sandwich with chocolate chip cookies and cookie dough ice cream, it was a huge serving!! Whats also cool is that they have old school video games you can play for free! Great for a fun date night!

We had a great time..Olan, the owner, was there. My college aged son and daughter took pictures with him which was a huge thrill. The place was pretty crowded, but the line moved very fast and we bought a cookie monster ice cream that was big enough to share.

The icecream waffle combination is on point👌👌definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fulfilling desert with a combination of great flavors but also classic mixes.

Free 90 minute parking!We loved the atmosphere here; it was crowded but didnt feel overwhelming. It was surprisingly clean despite how busy it was. The floats & shakes were yummy and not overly sweet or heavy. 10/10 would Soda Parlor again.

Super yummy! The cinnamon bun waffle mondae was super tasty the waffles are warm and fluffy and taste great with the toppings they add. I tried the space invaders float and it was a little different but tasted great when i ate it with the ice cream instead of just drinking it through the straw. Place looks like they can get pretty busy! I would recommend ordering and sticking around to pick up your order because if you go off to look at the merchandise or play the arcade games someone will probably take your order. Parking lot is free for an hour and a half. And if the place is not too busy you have enough time to order eat and play for a little until your time runs out. If its really busy you’ll probably run out of time. Overall super cool place and quirky menu, not like any other place ive seen in nashville so far and def worth another visit to try out the rest of the menu!

As a fan of Olan, I had to make the trip when I was in town. AND OH BOY, this does not disappoint. The food and soda is EXCELLENT and reasonably priced, and they have a free play arcade to top it all off. I would have loved to get a Soda Parlor shirt, but the prices seemed a little bit high (not paying 30 bucks for a tshirt), but it doesnt ruin the experience at all. Maybe next time I come to Nashville Ill swing by and get a shirt.

Old school root beer floats (no, Im not deducting a point for not using A&W, but it was close), incredible shakes, and all you can play (free!) stand up arcade games. Definitely worth the visit.

If you are in a mood for something sweet this is the place to go. The have ice cream, waffles and floats! You can sit and relax while you are playing board games, they also have arcade games. The have a parking lot in where you can stay for 1 and a half hour for free.

Been to their original location and this one several times. Each time I was warmly greeted and served promptly.

Visited here with my best friends as a surprise. Wonderful atmosphere. I recommend getting an All Hail Starscream.

Fun place! The floats there are a really good treat. The presentation of the float is cool. Sprinkles on the float made it! Haha Workers are really friendly as well.

Even if you arent a Millennial you will love this place!!! The desserts are huge and extremely tasty!! Theyve got retro arcade games and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy your treats. I really like this place and they even have free parking in the back for the first 1.5 hours. This is another great addition to the ever growing list of new places in East Nashville!

Quirky place from an amazing creator!

We popped into The Soda Parlor on our way back from hanging out at one of the bars in East Nashville. When you walked in, you were very pleasantly greeted with the smell of fresh waffles. The menu is limited, but that is definitely not an issue because the offerings are so creative. There is a slightly longer wait for your creation than you might have at a typical ice cream joint, but it’s definitely worth it! I am a total foodie and am so happy we stumbled upon this place during our visit. My only recommendation would be to share the waffle sundaes with at least one other person.

Really good vibe, desserts, and drinks. I love the location and even the smell when you walk in is welcoming. I wish the menu was a little bit bigger with maybe some cakes, or other treats since they could definitely broaden their spectrum for some different food items. It may be priced a little high for some, but you still get some amazing tasting stuff and that makes it absolutely worth it. We stayed there for a few hours, got a few floats and a dessert or two. Theres even an upstairs and arcade that makes it makes a really cool spot for all people to come meet. We played cards against humanity while we stayed and the establishment was fine with it. We tried to be respectful as much as possible and they were very nice and served us well. Will definitely be coming back.

Fun little place, has a kind of hole in the wall feel. The old arcade games were a cool touch, but not all were functional. The milkshake I got was not in a Mason jar like shown in all the pictures, but if thats the only complaint then Id say they did a good job.

We had just finished eating some awesome hamburgers across the breezeway. Upon opening the door at The Soda Parlor, there was the smell of sweet waffles, milkshakes, and maple in the air. I immediately felt we could have eaten a full meal at The Soda Parlor. We pulled up a couple chairs and played on the arcade machines for a while and looked around. The arcade machines have free plays (you just press a little red button near where you would have put quarters in). The atmosphere of the restuarant is laid back, relaxing and trendy. Had I not already nearly busted my gut from lunch, I would have definitely ordered a Mr. Maple Waffle and a Master Commander float. Just look at what Mr. Maple Waffle includes: A Freshly Made Maple Waffle Topped With Biscoff Cookie Butter, Maple Walnut Blondie Ice Cream, Whip Cream, Walnut, Hot Fudge, And Maple Syrup.Then the Master Commander float has Mikes Vanilla Ice Cream Paired With Maineroot Root Beer. Pretty sure I will need a designated driver after chugging all that down! Looking forward to the adventure next time I visit EaStSidE

The taste is awesome, it looks awesome, and great price! The location is great inside, has free 90min parking and has arcade machines inside. Going back to the desserts they have, absolutely better than most everything out there. Better than a certain place I wont name that rhymes with legendary.

We looked at some dessert places after eating at Five Points Pizza and Soda Parlor came up on the list. They have one of those menus where you just want to order everything! The wife ordered a 20 Stuff and I shared with my daughter a Cookie Monster. Yum yum yum!!

This place has a really cool atmosphere that suites every interest. I had the Bowie which is a rainbow sprinkle cookie ice cream sandwich and the cookie dough ice cream I chose was so creamy and fresh. My wife has a dairy sensativity and they were very accommodating with their vegan vanilla and vegan whipped cream available for a root beer float. Theyve really done a great job with this ice cream parlor with a new era spin.

Got a milkshake here and it was really good. If you are looking for a real old fashioned milkshake this is the place to go. The lady that helped us made them fresh to order and damn were they good. So rich and creamy. I think they were out of one of the flavours of ice cream when I went so that was disappointing but overall it was a great experience.

Kinda pricey.... Its a cool place to chill out I guess, if you arent into bars... Or shows... Or if you like video games

This is an amazing shop!! Totally unique and has an amazing staff. The menu is affordable, one-of-a-kind, and DELICIOUS!! Also a great stop for some gear and tee-shirts. The shirt I got is soft, washes well, and has lasted me through 9 months of pregnancy! AKA COMFY AF. We love Olan, Rachel, and the whole crew!

It’s so great five points finally has something do besides drinking. And free 1.5 hour parking in the back! The waffle sundaes and shakes are really good and they have a nice little selection of arcade games.

This place is nostalgic! My nose was going crazy with all the great aroma as soon as I stepped through the door. Whether you want a whipped up drink or a ice cold bottle of good old-fashioned root beer, this is the place to go!

Overall, good. My husband and I shared the Mr Waffle. Its pretty intense. Definitely glad that we shared it. The waffle was excellent- I would have been happy just eating that. We had the dairy free ice cream. I am grateful they had dairy free options since my husband is lactose intolerant. The ice cream was good. Just too much of it, in my opinion. And we got the whip cream on the side, which, I didnt eat because the rest of it was already so rich. I wish they had some smaller portion menu items. I didnt try the shakes or ice cream sandwiches, so I cant speak to that. The space is well designed, clean, and has lots of windows. The music is quiet enough so you can still have a conversation. It was nice.

This is an absolute great place to take your family take your children for a delicious handmade ice cream snack or float or a delicious craft soda! Free game room is a bonus the environment is nice its a great break from the heat of the summer time and the staff are really friendly young smiling faces! highly recommend this place!

There is nothing bad that I can say here. I LOVE THIS PLACE! They have an amazing atmosphere (if your a bit of a nerd youll love it!) The ice cream, shakes, and treats are amazing. The deserts are so perfect, and the staff is always extremely friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for a cool local place to grab some sweets this should be the spot!

Once again visiting the Soda Parlor is such a treat. When you walk up to the door you can smell the waffles. We had a Waffle Monday, great as usual. They have great shakes too and vintage flavored bottled sodas. The staff is always friendly with a shout out to Seth, Haley, and Sam. Great place for family, date, or just stopping for fun delicious dessert. They also have video games available to pass the time, and merch for sale. My daughter loves the pins. Dont pass this place up!

The waffle Sundays here are mind boggling delicious. The entire shop smells like fresh waffles. Its intoxicating. My favorite is the cinnamon roll one. The Reeses shake is good too. I love the free arcade games & the loft with the card games.

I love this place so much. Right away, when you walk in, the fun atmosphere hits you. Once you’re there, you don’t really want to leave. My wife and I split Waffle Mondaes on the regular. All the arcade machines are free to play, which is awesome. The march is also high quality and actually wearable in public- it doesn’t look like something your local high school made. It’s actually cool. Highly recommend hanging out here- and maybe Little Big O himself will show up!

As a huge fan of Olan Rogers, I had to stop by the Soda Parlor on my trips to Nashville! Its such a fun place to relax and hang out at. Their ice cream floats are incredible - my favorite being the Freakin Fosters. The staff is super friendly as well. Cant wait to go back!

Despite the nauseating smell that resembles an artificial cookie candle I had been looking forward to going here for so long, but after multiple attempts of trying for their “lactose free” ice cream only to be sorely disappointed. The staff is rude and abrasive, mixed with the lack of air flow, parking and outdoor seating the whole location, atmosphere and establishment isn’t worth it. GO TO Jenis Splendid Ice Creams INSTEAD! Their service was over the top amazing, with more dairy free, gluten free (whatever your thing) as well as being more eco friendly.*I have ABSOLUTELY no affiliation personally or professionally with either establishment*

I wish I lived in Nashville to be closer to here and many other places. I have never had anything bad here. The decor and arcade games are great. Staff are awesome as well. DO NOT miss coming here if you are in Nashville! I will always come back to visit whenever I am here.

Sometimes I feel they need to staff better, there were only 2 people behind the counter when I went on a Friday night! Which of course made it take a long time to get our order! But their Mondae’s are insanely delicious, and it’s a great date place.

Amazing place for a quick dessert. However, if you come on a Friday or Saturday night it is usually full of people. The milkshakes are great. I would suggest splitting something because there is so much sugar. My personal favorite is the cookie monster. (I could not eat it alone..too much amazing sugar...share with someone for sure)

This place is fantastic! They have yummy treats and arcade games from my youth...back when East Nashville still had a soul. For a second, the foamy sips almost caused me flashback to when I grew up in this neighborhood, but then I snapped back into reality when I realized I was chugging $5 root beer float. This is a great hangout spot 4 non-alcoholic drinks, but dont drink too much there is only one bathroom.

Delicious shakes and ice cream in a relaxed atmosphere. While I usually just suffer through my lactose intolerance, I was pleasantly surprised by the dairy-free options and opted for a soy-based peanut butter milkshake (approx $8.) It was rich and creamy and exactly what I was craving. The Soda Parlor also has a free arcade for customers, with games like Capcom V Marvel, Mario, and Asteroids, as well as a small upstairs nook for board games. I got my butt handed to me in a couple of 2D fighting games while sipping my shake. Definitely an awesome spot worth revisiting.

Shakes were a bit pricey (perhaps due to ingredients and/or labor involved in making them), so I would share if youre planning on getting one. Other merch is relatively priced well, but some generic things you can find less expensive elsewhere. Loved playing the arcade and spending time hanging out!

This place has always been a favorite since Olan Rogers opened it! The drinks and food is always spectacular, the environment is cozy yet unique, and the trivia nights and little concerts now and then add a nice less crazy night life option full of fun!

Great desserts but not enough options. Dessert lends itself to nonstop creativity and I see things I can make at home. I enjoyed the boy scout but it is def meant for sharing the portions just made me feel like a fatty. Also they should toast the marshmallows and not chocolate coat them. Of course it IS sugar so I would come back with a buddy to share something
