Was able to get there right before they closed at 3:30 to get my hands on some of these cupcakes! Since it was the end of business day, they only had a couple of flavors left, but I got some of the sweet potato cupcakes, which is known to be their #1 seller. It was a quick, efficient and friendly experience. If youre in the area and can get there, GO!

Read a lot of reviews. Drove 30 mins with toddlers. Had to find parking spot because they don’t have one and when I tasted the cupcakes they were out of some box cupcake mix with tons and tons of sugar. It’s my birthday and I literally had to throw away the whole pack of 6.Whole food cupcakes are double the size and they are delicious. I don’t know if there own people have written reviews 😟. Do yourself a favor and don’t go there.

We get the vegan cupcakes from here and It is probably my favorite dessert in Nashville. Great presentation as well so It is a solid birthday treat. But after tasting them you will want them for any occasion possible.

The sweet potato cupcakes are really good. Kind of like if carrot cake and pumpkin pie had a baby. I also love that these cupcakes dont have more frosting than cake, its the perfect ratio and it makes it a much more enjoyable experience.

The custom flavor of the cake was delicious. My issue is that I sent a picture of the cake decorations I wanted. I spoke to the decorator and was told they could put a 55 on the top and happy birthday *name* on the cake board. The picture was a vintage dude and a 55 on the side of the cake in black frosting. The decorator made a 55 from fondant frosting in blue, with colored sugar on the fondant. It was not what i wad expecting at all. I expected them to at least try to make a cake close to what I wanted. The only part that was custom was the flavor. I paid close to 100.00, the same as someone else who was able to get exactly what they ordered. In their defense, I knew they didnt have time to make a cake exactly like I wanted, but they didnt even try to make it a special birthday. The girl, I think I understood her to say Britney, hung up on me when I called to have the delivery person text me after it was delivered so we could head to the restaurant. That was very unorifessional, seeing how I paid 93.00 for a 6 cake.

I was looking forward to patronizing this business as part of my mission to support black business as much as possible during my trip to Tennessee. As a tourist to Nashville, I didnt anticipate that they would have run out of most of the cupcakes by the time I got there. They only had 2 choices on the list, which was disappointing for everyone in my party. However, we still decided to try the carrot cake and the vegan bakers choice pack of 6 with assorted flavors. Carrot cake was ok. We didnt like any of the vegan ones and threw most of it away. If you try this place, call to order ahead or go there early.

This black owned bakery is amazing. You have to try their award winning sweet potato cupcake! It is amazing. So amazing, that after I ate the cupcake, I then liked sweet potatoes by themselves. Lol

TCC is the best all around. They have such great moisture to them on top of the delicious icing. I live in Smyrna,TN and I proudly take the drive to Nashville at least twice a month for these cupcakes☺️. They also have great customer service that keeps you coming back.

Honestly if it wasnt for the great people, fantastic cake and phenomenal frosting, and the unique flavored, oh and the cakes, yep you need to go. I finally got to take my kids today. They loved it too.

The carrot cake cupcake is a knockout! My family swooned over the frosting.We ordered a 4-pack of specific flavors for one household to take home and a 6-pack of specific flavors for others, plus the gluten-free assortment. We ended up with a couple of the other’s flavors, but fortunately they were all good. So if you are ordering that way you’ll want to add clear notes. I’m happy that the gluten-free are always separate.

Please note this low-rated review focuses on customer service, not cake quality. Sadly, I never made it far enough to make a judgment on that. About 3 weeks ago, I called The Cupcake Collection seeking to order a cake for a gender reveal party. I was told I could not place an order over the phone, and was directed to an online inquiry form for wedding cakes. I completed the form, and waited the “up to 2 business days” it could take to receive a response. A week later, I still hadn’t received a reply, so I called again. The customer service rep looked up my form and placed my order. She said I would be receiving a confirmation email and I could pick up the cake the day before my event. Fast forward to pick up day: I waited in a long outdoor line, only to be told that they had no cake order for me. Since they have extremely limited business hours, there was no way they could make the cake in time for the event. I was told there was a button I was supposed to click in the email confirmation, and because I didn’t, they didn’t receive my order. The rep on the phone never told me there was a button to click in the email. Regardless, it should NOT be this complicated to order a cake. I had to order an emergency cake from Publix to replace the cake I ordered from The Cupcake Collection— obviously one that was not of the same caliber and a huge disappointment to the parents-to-be. Through their dysfunctional ordering system and part time business hours, The Cupcake Collection managed to put a huge damper on what was supposed to be a joyous day. I cannot verbalize my disappointment and frustration strongly enough.

They made a lovely and delicious cake for my daughter’s 21st birthday! Definitely would use them again as the whole process of ordering, paying and pickup was super easy!

We brought home 2 packs of cupcakes and some chocolate covered strawberries. I had one of each and they were both amazing. Cupcakes were moist and not too overwhelming with sweetness. I went to work that night for 4 hours looking forward to having another cupcake when I got home. Once I arrived home I found they were all gone! I was so sad but it tells you how good they were because two members of my crew dont even like sweets. They all let me know how tasty they were though!

Real simple. If you like your cupcake that is more cake than icing, this is the place to go. The flavors are amazing and impeccable. The service that you will receive is heartwarming and professional. If you want a specific cupcake that they offer but it is not on the menu that day, you may need to order it. They do a daily menu of certain flavors. They also do a seasonal menu. They have some of the best sweet potato cupcakes in the area (when available as it is a Fall/Winter flavor). They also have vegan cupcakes. One of my favorite cupcakes is the red velvet. The cupcakes are not dense and theyre not overly sweet. And as I said though there is icing on most of the varieties, it is not overwhelmingly full of icing. You may be in a line during certain seasons when they are open, but the wait is well worth it. They also cater, so if you need cupcakes for your wedding or special event, theyre the people you can go to. They are black-owned and are highly praised. Go check them out.

Dont get me wrong the cupcakes are delicious, however to have no access to the inside and to leave a line of people standing all the way to the street waiting to order, it seems you would move the line a little quicker. Being 90° outside what makes people want to stand in the line for 30 minutes for a cupcake. You need to move the line along to keep the business.

My friend & I both received them within 4 days of ordering & they were absolutely delicious. This is THE best cupcake joint in all of Nashville. I am a cupcake aficionado. Cake is my jam. I drove to the Marietta Diner for a few slices, even. Thats how serious I am. Those cakes have NOTHING on the cupcake collection. I have tried homestyle bakery, baked on 8th, and even local home cake makers that dont have an establishment. None of them can hold a candle to Cupcake Collection. I hate driving downtown but I do it once every few months for a 4 or 6 pack. Not only is it an amazing tasting baked good, it is a BLACK owned business. It gets better though—a black WOMAN owns this place. Her power? Untouchable. If Mignon Francois sees this....thank you, queen! I will most definitely get my birthday treat here.

The young lady who waited on me was very unpleasant. The cupcakes I order was very dry. Maybe they gave me old ones, they were horrible and dry. The driest cupcakes l have ever had and I have had alot. I wasted my money today. I will not be returning.

This place has delicious treats but has genuinely outgrown its business. Too many people, with a system and process that isn’t adequate anymore to accommodate the traffic. I can’t continue to traffic a place that can’t get it right. Been sitting here as we speak for over 30 minutes and they aren’t making progress.

Every cupcake is delicious... even their vegan cupcakes! I especially liked their strawberry lemonade & famous sweet potato cupcake. I recommend same-day ordering online, as they only take online pick-up orders at this time.

I’ve never tried this place before so after reading all the good reviews I decided to go with them for my boyfriends birthday cupcakes! They are AH-MAZING! Very fresh and yummy! Frosting is so good not overly sweet and not the “fake” tasting icing that you would normally get on a cupcake from the store. No these cupcakes are WAY better! Easy ordering online and setting up a pick up time( which I was able to pick them up before my pick up time). Customer service was very nice and prompt when I arrived to pick them up. If you are on the fence about trying this place I say go for it! Not only are you supporting a local business but also a BLACK OWNED business! Definitely try the sweet potato cupcakes!

Delicious! I was here about two years ago and it was just as good then as it is now! This time I brought my son with me and we bought six different cupcake flavors to test. The winner, again, was the sweet potato cupcake! And hey, I get it. My original thought a few years ago was no way. But its delicious! It was super easy to order online and pick up was efficient and safe.

This place has the best cupcakes in Nashville, in my opinion. They have a wide variety of flavors, the icing always goes well with the cake base, the texture is decadent without being too rich, and it doesnt sit too heavy once youve finished. The staff is also super friendly and very enthused about their cupcakes. In COVID times, they are still taking orders outside and encouraging social distancing and mask wearing which I appreciate. I also really recommend their sweet potato cupcake especially now that its approaching fall.

As always a great stop for goodies while in Nashville. People even stopped me in the airport to talk about how good they were. Always moist with creamy frosting. My favorite is Red Velvet. But I have yet to try a flavor I havent liked. A definite stop for any visitor to the city. I made sure to take great care when bringing them home.

The Cupcake Collection is the best! Everything is made with love and really does sprinkle joy into your day. You cant go wrong with any flavor. Strawberry and Red Velvet are my personal favorites. Gingerbread and Egg Nog for the Christmas holidays are totally worth the wait.

I had a similar experience to Mr. Brendan W. Extremely long lines in 90+ degree weather. However, I did pre-order my cupcakes for my daughters birthday party at school for an 11 am pickup. I arrived thinking my order would be ready to go. It was not. I waited 30+mins. I asked for the manager who refused to offer a courtesy for this inconvenience. The owner also came to speak to me. She was also disrespectful too. Only compensation for their poor customer service was a refund. A refund would not appease after waiting in line 30+mins for a pre-ordered and paid for package nor would that help since my daughter requested cupcakes for her birthday. I did not have time to go another place to pickup cupcakes as my daughter was waiting on me to arrive with her cupcakes. I did not want to disappoint her. She deserved a special treat for her birthday on time! Also, I had a schedule. I should have been contacted if the company decided to not make my order. I could have been on time and not endured the stress of this horrible experience. I will not order or go to Cupcake Collection again!!! It is not worth the hassle!!!! Go get your cupcakes somewhere else. I refuse to support a poorly-organized, rude business. The worse customer experience of my life!!! The owner blamed me for my order not being ready and claimed I was late!!! The audacity to blame a customer for their lack of organization or preparedness. The company should have been honest. This is my favorite cupcake place in Nashville and their cupcakes are divine. They are located in Historic Germantown and have been a stable in the community for years. Everything is made fresh daily with no artificial flavors or dyes, which is fantastic. They offer a couple of their flavors each day, so no two days are the same and they offer both traditional and non traditional cupcakes flavors. Plus the prices are beyond reasonable for everything you’re getting.

Wow, where to start? Im not a huge cake/cupcake person, but I got these for my partner for her birthday. Let me just say, if all cake tasted like this, I would be a cake person. Instead, I am a Cupcake Collection person. Weve only tried the birthday cake flavor so far, but are seriously considering cracking into the red velvet we bought as well. Rich and thick frosting, moist and light cake. Literally no complaints. Will be back for sure!

Picked up 6 cupcakes on today 1/31/2020, wanted to try the eggnog cupcakes my friend told me about the day before so I ordered 3. Ate one shortly after picking up, which was dry, tried another one later it was dry didnt eat it. Wanted to call but it was after 3:30pm they were closed. Disappointed!
