The cafe was awesome! I loved the vibe & the food was amazing!

Their lox baggle is great, pretty good lattes as well and the environment is nice. This seems like a place where many students come to study or friends meet for coffee. Seating inside and outside, with quite a few parking spots though it does fill up fast.

East Nashville staple! We score the drip at a 8.1 and the espresso at a 8.3. Our favorite of the day was the Hoodie Latte coming in at a 8.7! They have a great out door space and food looked good. Also, their neighbors make some fantastic donuts

One of my favorite spots to visit in Nashville. Pre-pandemic, I used to come here on a regular basis just to sip on some coffee while doing some work or reading. Looking forward to doing that again. I loved the large windows and the cozy environment.

Ordered online for a curbside pickup. Parking was tight, but we found a spot. Order was accurate and fresh and order runner was polite. This is a new experience as the last time I had anything from here, I ate inside. I will definitely return.

I needed a coffee place to get me going for a walk at Shelby Creek and found Ugly Mugs. They have a wide range and selection and some interesting seasonal items as well. I got one of their coffee items and it was solid. They also have a spacious area for inside seating for the winter months and a wonderful outdoor patio area for warmer weather and gathering with friends, great for our socially distant times :) They are also conveniently located next to Five Daughters Bakery to make the perfect coffee and doughnut pairing :)

Ugly Mugs is a solid local favorite. Coffee is solid. Oat milk is free at the bar with drip coffee. Busy but plenty of space to snag some laptop space.

Super friendly staff, no judgement on my 6shot espresso drink, really cozy vibes and yummy breakfast. 10/10 would visit passing through again!

Ugly mugs will always be my favorite place to get coffee. The combinations they offer and how they consistently change up their seasonal menu makes my heart happy. The staff is beyond kind, and if you get there early enough to be able to sit, its a wonderful place to spend a few hours working or reading or hanging out with a friend. Super hoppin place;busy but got us through quickly. I had the Americano and it hit the spot. Fairly large sitting area outside. Lots of options on coffee and teas and both sweet and savory treats.

My boyfriend and i were visiting from out of town and asked a local friend for his coffee recommendation and he sent us here.i tried a dirty chai with oat milk and he had the hoodie latte.mine was amazing!!! the hoodie was just okay.

Meet a friend here for coffee. I recommend the iced latte. Not sweet just perfect. There was plenty of seating and we sat for an hour and 1/2 without feeling pressured to leave. Great atmosphere. Indoor/ outdoor seating

The Coffee was the best! And the guy is nice, cute spot.

Worst experience ever. Long story short they messed up my order and then tried to only give me a 50% refund. Staff was rude on the phone. Had to physically go back to the store to get my refund and they wouldnt give me a receipt so I still have no way of knowing if they actually refunded me for the order they messed up. Will never go back here again and I wish nothing but terrible things for this business in the future

Not specialty coffee. The light roast coffee was nothing but over roasted disappointment. If you are not into specialty coffee this place is nice but don’t expect specialty coffee here.

Ample seating and some creatively flavored coffee offerings. A great pairing with a Five Daughters doughnut as they are next door!

Solid service, Great espresso drinks and spiced chai is on point…Drip coffee is not. Tasted burnt or possibly a dirty brewer. Tried it twice, wouldn’t try again. Portland brew (nearby) had great drip coffee, equal on espresso drinks but food & pastries are better here at UM’s.

Not a safe place for ALL in Nashville. Shame on you.

I had the argyle sweater sandwich and it was INANSE! It’s hard to get good gluten-free breakfast food and they were super accommodating. Delicious coffee, great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff

My favorite coffee shop in Nashville. The baristas are so genuinely kind and friendly. The WiFi is good even in the outdoor seating area. Prices are great, and I love the fact that they include tax in the prices. Im not sure why that is so important to me, but it really is! Such a lovely spot. Thank you guys, I love you.

I love ugly mugs... come here at least once or twice a week. Today I got their veggies and hummus which costs a pretty $8. The carrots are old and extremely dried out. And then it came with 5 slices of cucumber? HOW can you charge $8 for this??? Absolutely ridiculous.

I come here to get work done when it’s a nice day outside. Their coffee and drinks are mediocre and they don’t have a wide range of items on menu but at least I love the strip they’re in and they have nice outdoor area.

Being my first time in Nashville, I wanted to pop into a local coffee shop. I have a service dog who accompanies me daily, to work, while I travel, everywhere. Conveniently, after I had already paid and tipped I was informed that my service dog (who was wearing a clearly marked vest) was not welcome. He tried to explain that, only service dogs for obvious disabilities (such as blindness is the example he used) were allowed. I explained that is not how ADA Regulations for service animals works, and does not only apply specific to certain disabilities, but rather all disabilities.I felt incredibly unwelcome, and had I known would not have given my business to this establishment. I will not be returning nor recommending this place to friends in the future.

They have amazing service, wear masks, nice atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating. A great place to hang out with family or read a book. Theres also a doughnut shop next door that has vegan options. Ugly Mugs also has vegan milk alternatives.

Very clean. Presentable staff. My girlfriend and I were visiting from Miami, FL. We ended up coming here multiple times due to the experience and delicious coffee. Thank you for helping make our visit pleasant. Keep up the great work! When we come back we will stop in again & again.

Generic industrial hipster coffee shop. Far fewer actual ugly mugs than expected. The Eclipse (salted caramel iced latte) was tasty, so was the blackberry almond muffin.

Coffee is delicious,it’s very clean and the employees are all incredible, but the flies are ridiculous. The entire time I’m outside eating or drinking my coffee, I see flies everywhere and other customers today were complaining of them outside and ended up leaving. They hurt really bad when they bite. Great coffee and great people, but the flies make me not want to come here if I’m planning on enjoying the weather outside.

Lovely shop, friendly people, enjoyable calm atmosphere. Coffee is great! Different roast options available, excellent espresso. Bagels, muffins and other bakery items to eat. Yogurt, fruit and granola as well, plus more. Traveling from Georgia to Colorado and enjoyed our short stop here for breakfast.

Had a muffin and espresso. Espresso was sweet and clear, would recommend.

Great spot for no frills coffee or bit of sustenance. Perfect balance of premium product and wait time. While I live a good pinky raising latte, if Im meeting a friend or client I dont want to wait 25 minutes. You wont regret your visit. P.S. Very well lit space.

We stopped in and grabbed a quick coffee to go with out pastries we got next door at Five Daughters. The staff was nice and we even got a cute little design in our coffee.This place was packed but not a single verbal conversation to be had in the place except for orders being taken and distributed. We counted 21 laptops and the rest phones. WOW!

Mediocre. Luke warm Hot specialty coffee, Luke warm iced specialty coffee. The price was the only special surprise. Coffee was mediocre and nothing flavorful.Lox bagel was standard was well; tasteless salmon, barely warm bagel.

Great laid back environment. A lot of great vibes. Coffee was pretty good, just didnt like what I paid for such a small serving size. The classic was good, got it on ciabatta bread. The BLT is not worth almost 9$ though... bathroom was out of order and staff wasnt too friendly except the woman at the cash register. Overall it was an okay experience. I just wish they had actual mugs since it is called Ugly Mugs, I came for the Ugly Mugs lol

I visit Ugly Mugs regularly and it has become one of my favorite places in Nashville. I am transgender, so it is often difficult to find safe spaces where I can feel comfortable. The staff at Ugly Mugs (most particularly, the womxm) have always treated me with the upmost respect. That - and the coffee + food is fantastic! Try their seasonal coffees or their Americano! Love this place.

Only complaint: they wouldn’t serve me just a sandwich. Had to pay for the + chips combo (and I didn’t want chips). But the Greek feta sandwich was DELICIOUS. And vibe is great. Crowd is doing things. So five stars ⭐️

Hay ride and hoodie are great, lite and yummy drinks. We look forward to them every year that we get to stop by. Oatmeal is superb as is the ham n cheese croissant. Lite,buttery (melts in your mouth)and crisp out the outside. Those are my recommendations. Enjoy, great atmosphere!!

Amazing place. I visited with 2 my small kids (just didnt find any options to leave them) and all everybody was very friendly to us. Great coffee. Really. I take espresso and cappuccino, both was very good. I expected to see more kind of dessert but they have enough. Blueberry muffin was very nice. Also notice - ice cream shop, bakery, fitness and wellness center very near.Definitely highly recommend for coffee lover. And definitely will visit again.

I always enjoy visiting here. The coffee is always satisfying and the food is filling and refreshing. There is a great vibe of positivity in the staff and in all of the customers. You can always expect to overhear a lot of interesting conversations. The outdoor seating is also a huge bonus this time of year. Process are reasonable!

Ive only been here once but I fell in love. Its such a cute little spot. I love the fact that it also has outdoor seating. It appears to be a popular location because I was there for about 4 hours doing work and it stayed full the entire time I was there. I like how even though they were busy and full it wasnt super noisy. the customer turnover wasnt too distracting either

Oh my goodness, the best coffee shop i have ever been to. My boyfriend and I love to adventure and try new foods and Coffee shops all around Tennessee. This is hands down the best Ive had. Service was fast, workers were super happy and fun to talk to. The place had a really good vibe, everyone there was sweet and the coffee was amazing. I got a vanilla latte and it had the perfect amount of foam, not too little not too much. We loved it and will definitely come back and recommend to people😌

LOVE this coffee shop! It’s got fairly cheap food and good coffee, plus the seating is great if you want to work at a coffee shop. Definitely love the outside seating courtyard and the other businesses you can easily access. It has way more FREE parking than most places, although when it gets busy (ahem... Saturday night) don’t expect to find a place.Great vibes. Interesting folks. Nice loyalty program that’s fairly new.

Great place to study or meet up with friends over coffee. I love their rotating pour over selections and they are reasonably fast in preparing your drink. They also have plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend!

Loved this place! I had one of their signature Hoodie drinks and I really liked it. I also had a bacon, cheese scone that was really good. Both of my daughters liked their choice also. We sat outside and enjoyed the great weather. There were a couple of places to shop/eat.

Friendly staff and good options available. Plenty of seating for couples and a few good spots for small groups. Ordered a salad and a cappuccino, prices are good.

I love this place. Discovered it when I moved back to Nashville after college. My favorite is probably the blackbear, and I love the winter menu. I only wish I had a location closer to where I live.

Great location. The cappuccino was delicious. Workers were nice enough. The inside environment was ok I guess. I dont like the trend of coffee shops using only hard furniture and ever surface being hard, I prefer cushions and coziness, but apparently everyone else likes it. Ill go back though.

I was shocked at how long the line was and it stayed long. I heard really good things so I decided to wait it out and see for my self. I was not disappointed! It was delicious coffee and I love the look of the place. Its got an old time feel but very clean and somehow modern is tied in as well. Very cool place to visit if your in the area.

Quick friendly service with excellent coffee and food options. Its the only coffee shop in East Nashville open before 7 a.m. Despite early mornings they are always friendly! Better seating options in Starbucks and a fantastic outdoor patio for seating as well.
