Delightful little coffee stop with a slightly hipster vibe. Dog friendly! Masks preferred, but not required at the moment, according to posted signs. Very clean, decent selection of sugar-free syrups for keto friendly drinks. Good selection of baked desserts, if youre into that. The triple berry scones are great! Then, of course, theres the ice cream case...
Coffee is good and the ice cream is even better. Glad I discovered this local gem. I find myself returning often.
Very PROFESSIONAL and cool as a fan yall are it Ill be visiting often and Im definitely going to spread the word about you guys KUDOS!!
First time customer on a Saturday morning 8:30. Parking can get complicated because it seems to be a popular place and they only have parking in front and side of building so maybe 13 parking spaces. They have drive-thru and take out/dinner in, they also have chairs/tables on the side of the building were you can seat and have your coffee, tea, pastry or ice cream. They have a great selection of tea and all cups sizes are the same price for tea not sure about the other drink options. Service was quick ordered a ginger twist with added agave and it was delicious. Will be supporting again. Highly recommended
Great local coffee shop. The shakes are great too. Very affordable. Quick service. Easy parking. Close to my house. Awesome spot.— Ross Senack
Been going here for 10 consecutive years. Best coffee in Nashville, and super friendly and nice staff. Never ever had a problem, love them to death!
Fantastic choices for coffees and ice cream (blueberry cheesecake is really great!). Typically not super crowded, and its a great spot for a remote work hang. It used to be a bank, and theyve left some cool things in place from then. I also recently learned it was either THE or one of the last places Robin Willians filmed in.
Love this place, the scones are good, and the ham and cheese croissant. Employees are always pleasant. I only get hazelnut lattes but there are always good hot or cold
We stopped by here on our way through Nashville on a whim. The service was friendly, quick, and the drinks were delicious. Id love to come back again. The frozen latte is a must-have!
A good find. Great coffee and ice cream in one spot, and open relatively late. My iced mocha was especially good. Indoor and covered outdoor seating are lacking just a bit in cozy coffee shop ambiance but are plenty comfortable for meeting a friend or sipping your drink while the world drives by.
Great coffee and service. I go here multiple times a week. The scones are perfect!
Love this place! Great coffee (not from a big chain) and their choice of music is excellent. Some nice pastries, too.
Drive through homemade ice cream is truly the only thing I’ve ever wanted in life, and their ice cream is tasty! I love their waffle cones as well. The inside is super cool and fun to look around in. The employees are always so nice and friendly too.
The best baristas and atmosphere. Love sitting on the orange couch with a nice caramel latte.
I went today to respond to some emails, but the internet wasnt working at all (which is the reason for the 4-out-of-5 stars). The coffee was great, though, and the atmosphere nice. Ill go back this week and check out the internet situation again, and update my review if it is working better.
Frozen Cappuccino is a delight. Great pastries in the morning, but get there early. Try an affrogato.
This is our little slice of heaven local coffee and ice cream shop. All ice cream is made in house and absolutely incredible.
It would be really nice if the white chocolate mocha iced coffee tasted like white chocolate or even a tad bit sweeter than straight up coffee. I had to go home and put some Caramel in it to even make it worth drinking. I was not very pleased with this.
Awesome coffee but you gotta get there early if you want a croissant!
Yo this place is legit. Locally owned and it is fantastic. I have the expresso freeze thing and Oo Man was it delicious. Ice cream is next on the list, great atmosphere as well.
A great spot for morning coffee and muffin. I like their chai tea latte with coconut milk! They also serve Miles ice cream.
Went through drive-thru. Very efficient. Great coffee.
My latte was great and so were the pastries.
Gre8t cup of coffee . The staff was nice .
Great local coffee shop. A lot of pastry selections. Mikes ice cream is addictive.
Sip Cafe is my favorite coffee shop in Nashville! They have a frozen cappuccino that is the best! And Mikes chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream is to die for!Sip has become one of the very few place my husband and I go to since the pandemic began. Everyone on at Sip Cafe wears their masks properly and Ive even seen a worker sanitize his gloves. Thats commitment. When we need a break from staying at home we treat ourselves to trip to Sip. We are so grateful that Sip Cafe is taking the precautions to be safe, thats why we highly recommend them. Plus they are so nice and have the most delicious ice cream and frozen drinks! Thanks Sip Cafe! :-)
Yes please! leave a big tip for these hard-working musicians.
This place is awesome all of their ice cream is locally sourced and there is always special
I got a chai tea latte and it was really delicious pretty cool little place and they have some really great ice cream If youre ever in the area you should stop by grab yourself a cup of Joe or a cup of ice cream.I didnt really notice how many flavors they have but theres quite a few in there that really delicious homemade kind of vibe.
Went there for the first time today to support local, and was rudely received by the guy at the window. Didnt catch his name, but he was super unfriendly! When I drove up to place my order, he didnt greet me, only rudely asked, What do you want? Being it was my first time, I asked a question about how many shots of espresso were in the dif Americano sizes, and he quipped back that Americanos are a drink, not a number of espresso shots. (But the reason I was asking was because they are made with espresso & hot water..so, the number of shots would determine what size I was going to order.) I was so shocked at his unnecessary rudeness and condescending tone, not to mention his unwillingness to be of service...which is what customer service jobs entail, no?Poor customer service! I dont even know if the coffee tasted mediocre because it was, or because of the mediocre taste the experience left in my mouth!Buyers beware.
Their berry scones are off the hook. But get there early as they sell out!
Ice cream, coffee, both combined. Easy.
This quaint location of friendly staff serves up interesting combinations of coffee and hand scoop ice cream. Definitely will return
Staff is always friendly and fast.
Great icecream and coffee
Can anyone tell me if the coffee is better than ice cream or ice cream better than the coffee?
For years Eest Nashville kept asking why there were no local coffee shops. Well, Sip was worth the wait. Ask for their Espresso milk shake made with coffee fudge ice cream. And get a cup of french press to go with it. Good Lord!
Really really good! Very friendly with a great selection, first time going for me and I loved it!! Will definitely return
I really like the staff here, theyre always really nice to me.
Best malts and shakes I ever tasted
Got a scoop of maple walnut Blondie ice cream in a house made waffle cone. Large scoop with generous Blondie brownie chunks and a creamy texture and obvious but not over the top maple flavor. Then the occasional crunch of walnut mixed with the waffle cone was awesome.Less than $5.Great service at the drive thru window, also. Will go back.
Always a good cup. Friendly barristas. The ice cream is really good too
Nice coffee...the best!
Good ice cream but cannot eat in still because of pandemic.
Neat little local shop; love, love the pastries and hot chocolate selections
Staff is really nice and sweet, the baked goods are delightful, and the environment is nice. Enjoyed sitting outside with a good friend drinking coffee and trying eachothers sweets. Like the vibe, its a cute little coffee shop in East Nashville and Im glad its here.
Staff, menu, and the fact that this place used to be a bank makes Sip Cafe a memorable visit. it’s just the best!
Coffee good. croissant amazing. Staff medium. Professional but not polite. Id drink here again.
*****Update to previous review...Tried something different today since it was very warm. Iced Tea...Green Tea Tropical with honey over ice was very refreshing. Shout out to our drive thru cashier for taking the to draw a palm tree on the cup. Super fun times!*****Update to previous review...Yo! Mike! I LOVE your delicious beverages, ice creams and pastries. We come here almost weekly. Please, please, please, start a customer loyalty punch card program. Id rather give a local merchant/artisan my money than the corporate pimps, but show a sista some love back. I know you do well, but a move like this could yield exponential increase and exposure.***** The customer service is always impeccable...very friendly staff. The coffee and ice cream are TOP notch!
I go pretty often but today wasnt a good day .. one guy was rude because I asked a question about the milkshake
Excellent ice cream, homemade waffle cones, and coffee. A local gem
I ordered a ice coffee with sugar free hazelnut, guy with long brown hair gave me a regular hazelnut,I went into the store to let him know so he’s upset cause I wanted sugar free so he fill the cup up with a lot of cream. When a customer order they should get what they want without attitude.
Love Sip, they converted an old bank building! The Red Velvet Milkshake is delicious!
Swiped and go here with the new and latest technology for googlenpay
We stopped by as we were leaving Nashville. We ordered a couple of lattes and macchiatos in addition to some croissants. The beverages were good, but the croissants were ice cold.
Great place to get ice cream! Awesome job with keeping the drive thru safe in these crazy times.
Favorite ice cream spot.
There’s no need to start raising your voice at the customer because they want to know the difference between a breve and a cortado. Do better.
Just terrible! I come through only to get Drew’s Brew beans and sometimes forget the dozen awful drinks of the past, so I blame myself for that, however, rude customer service burn out employees and $5 cup of hot milk, terrible terrible terrible. I will never return
I went for the ice cream. It was fantastic. Service was great. Felt safe in the business
I got to Sip at least twice a week. Great coffee. Delicious ice cream. Feels like a true community coffee shop. Its in an old bank and they have used that old decor to its advantage. Highly recommend a red velvet milkshake.
Iced coffee (cold brew) is solid. If your feeling yourself though get the Expresso milkshake. The croissants are some of the best in East Nashville. The fact this local spot has a drive through has been super convenient with the shut down.
Great coffee and Ice Cream and the best Espresso Malt you could ever ask for....
My go to coffee shop. The baristas here are friendly and an overall joy in the morning before I’ve had my coffee. They are also very clean and always have masks on
Great coffee and ice cream. Friendly staff. Fast drive thru service
Good coffee, nice people
Love this place! Great coffee and ice cream and pastries. Friendly and fast.
We are regulars here! The ice cream is delicious and it definitely has a local community flair to it. The prices are very reasonable and they have a diverse menu, unlike similar places that just sell ice cream.
This place is real cute, and let me tell you! I got an espresso milkshake! And it was AWESOME! Get the chocolate ice cream in it trust me. The scones looked soooo scrumptious! Lots of homemade ice cream flavors. So cute :) Snazzy decor and friendly staff too which is stellar :)
I come here regularly and get coffee, which is always great, every time. Scones are usually pretty excellent but they run out of the pastries fast so get in there in the morning if you are really wanting one. Otherwise, there is always the ice cream, which is some of the best in Nashville, in my opinion.
Used to be my MOST FAVORITE! Since COVID19, it hasnt been the same.... Takes forever in line, the coffee/espresso is weaker (verified by 3 other ppl, not just me)... And its gotten more expensive to get the same thing Ive been getting for over a year....
Great value and great product. Plus they give dog treats if your dog is riding with.
I hadnt had Mikes Ice Cream in AGES because its become so impossible to park down near Broadway so i was super happy to see its sold wholesale now near me! Easy parking, easy to order and a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. I love that it has coffee for when friends want coffee but also ice cream, milkshakes and smoothies for people like me who arent big coffee drinkers. I also thought the pricing was reasonable, and I appreciated getting to sample (and good sized spoonful samples!) the different flavors!
Twice I have gone to the Sip Cafe in the last couple of weeks. My niece introduced me when she wanted excellent coffee. It smelled great, even tho I dont drink coffee. They post a sign of the countrys coffee currently being pressed. I spent my time relaxing with some of Mikes Ice Cream. Creative flavors along with old reliables leave nobody wanting. Toasted coconut ice cream is in now & is not to be missed. Did I hear cinnamon & chili powder? Whatever, another brand new offering was tasted & was great. The drive-thru window stays busy, but I enjoyed the opportunity to kick back inside with free cups of self-serve water, a pastry, and my ice cream, & come out smelling like the richest coffee anywhere. The decor is eclectic like the East Nashville vibe, so dont come expecting the look or attitude of Starbucks. For my personal preference I will take the food, drinks, & prices at Sip Cafe. The many coffee drinkers told me they prefer the addictive coffee at Sip to other corporate-run places.
Parents of small people -- rejoice! You can get coffee that is much better than Starbucks without getting out of your car! Before moving close to Sip, I used Starbucks for my coffee needs simply out of desperation. I have three kids under five, so its just a big production to run into a coffee shop with all of them. Sip has great muffins and great coffee, so it is my regular spot now. We often come back later at night for some Mikes ice cream as well, which the whole family enjoys.
Sip Cafe has the best pastries (scone and cheese danish specifically) in Nashville.
Great variety of products. Most of the stuff Ive had here is great! I love that its a local establishment. Keep local in East Nash!
Nice to sit outside
Great local spot with original Nashville character. Huge win for having a drive thru and not being a Starbucks. Ice cream is excellent too. Great prices.
LOVE this place. Delicious coffee and some of the best pastries around.
Best coffee ever
One of the best coffee places in all of Nashville. The atmosphere is great the people are kind and attentive. Did I mention they also have delicious hand made ice cream? Its made on premises. Sips is definitely a staple in our family.
Awesome place for that cup coffee, espresso, frappuccino, whatever your heart desires. They even will use non-dairy alternatives for vegans or for those who are lactose intolerant. Located inside an old bank, makes for interesting decor left behind by the former occupants. Great atmosphere.
Hard working staff, decent coffee and ice cream. Terrible espresso shots, sub par pastries. Ive tried to like it over the past 3 years because my friends enjoy the vibe. Resisted rating to honor their desire to support local. Todays bitter cortado and undercooked scone-like pastry that was more like a biscuit in the shape of a scone were my last attempt.
Service was fast but the coffee which is French press tasted more watered down then fast food coffee.
Sip Cafe has THE BEST French press coffee Ive ever had and they have a variety of non-dairy or sugarfree additions to add to any drink. I only demoted one star because I had a coffee there yesterday that was the exact same order I always get but it tasted a little burnt wich is unusual for sip café.
Great to have a local drive through but be prepared to wait at least 10-15 min in the drive through.
