Came here on a freezing cold weekday afternoon and it was empty. Not what I expected for a ‘must-visit’ tourist location. Menu is limited, but the food is good. Serving size for the salad was huge. Staff could have been more friendly, especially since it was quiet.

Stopped in here because of a family tie to the name of the Cafe... the set up was nice. It was easy to order. The servers were attentive. However, of the two beverages ordered (a lemonade and a Lula House Blend Coffee with coconut milk & vanilla syrup), only one of these was palatable. The lemonade was phenomenal, tasting of fresh squeezed lemons and the right amount of sugar making for a delicious combination of sweet and tart, exactly how I remember it at my family reunions. However, the coffee, which I expected to at least be fine, if not dang delicious bearing the name of the joint, was acidic, bitter and lacking any hint of a vanilla addition. In fact, I sadly ended up not even being able to finish my almost $5 cup of regular coffee and having to toss it out.In short, grab a lemonade, a brief rest and be on your way to check out the rest Nashville has to offer!

Really good food. Not an overpriced tourist go-to, it is a place to get a full serving of yummy chicken chili, a fabulous juicy burger or other great meals at competitive prices. A bit loud but with the preshow crowds it needs to be. If you dont try the chips you will miss a treat.

Good vibes, great music, sublime spicy chickpea burger! I want to visit again before I go, and that’s saying a lot for being in Nashville for just a few days’s visit. Don’t miss this little gem- stop for a London Fog and a muffin after your must tour of the Ryman Auditorium. You’ll be glad you did!

Met up with a couple of friends before going to see a show at the Ryman and hung out here for about an hour. Ordered a couple of drinks which were rather expensive ($15 for a simple cocktail) but good. We didnt order any food but the other patrons dishes looked pretty high quality/appetizing. All in all, not a terrible place to pop into before a show.

Id give it a zero. We just left it. Plus size woman was eating croutons and drinking coffee at the counter. Watched her place her fingers in her mouth several times eating croutons, lick her fingers, then touch food and grabbed straws at the top . Yuck.

This establishment is one for the books! The overall atmosphere of Cafe Lula makes you feel as if youve walked into a palace and in turn youre treated like royalty. The staffs awareness of your needs is impeccable, my glass was never empty. As for the food, the large array of menu options was exhilarating. I personally stuck with a classic, Prime Rib, which was original, but done to perfection.

I guess my wife and I came at a bad night. Arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes before the Jeanne Robertson show. The llne was out the door. With only one register it took at least 30 minutes to place an order. One of the staff members started telling the crowd that there was no more seating and that we could find a bench outside to eat. Yeah in the dark and 45 degree weather. We bought a muffin and the last bottle of water from the cooler because we wouldve still been waiting for a hot dish and then have to eat outside and be late for the show. Oh they were out of napkins. Not impressed. Only one register, really.

Had planned to eat dinner here before a show. We were so disappointed that everything we ordered was cold and had been sitting for a while. The food we were served should have never been served and shouldve been thrown out and fresh food made.

Wanted something other than burgers or BBQ. Had delicious chicken vegetable soup and hubby had chicken salad sandwich with homemade chips. Both were excellent. A nice refreshing place, also serves some great looking salads. They roast their own chicken right there. Lunch for under $20.00!

I go there for cookies & coffee but they also make hot meals. Easy stop if you are going to a concert at The Ryman. Also serve wine and usually have a singer too.

The food here is well-executed with a nice, small menu. However, the service I had was poor. 3 front of house employees that seemingly were doing nothing while we waited for service. The only competent person was the line cook in the open kitchen, who delivered our food in a timely manner (before we received our drinks). Its frustrating to wait for service and products youve paid for while employees are standing around on their phone and talking to the musician. Nice concept but needs better employee training.

Spent the day there at a conference hosted on-site. The staff was amazing and were able to anticipate everyones needs. If they saw an empty drink - they filled it, dirty plate - they picked it up.The food was excellent. There was several options so there was something for even the pickiest of eaters. I also enjoyed the overall vibe/decor of the cafe. It was bright (lots of windows) and lively.

Spent the day there at a conference hosted on-site. The food was excellent and the overall vibe/decor (lots of windows) created a great learning environment for our group of 50 or so. If youre hosting an event and this space is available it is a wonderful alternative to the traditional hotel meeting room/ballroom.

Wife and i went before the Jill Scott concert. We parked and decided because it was so convenient that we would try before concert dinner. I ordered the steak sandwich it came with some type of chips and she ordered the Nashville Hot chicken salad we both had a Michelob Ultra. Ok here goes that so called meal is a freaking joke. The child sized steak sandwich was tasteless and should have been called a steak stip sandwich and whomever thought those cold chips are a replacement for fries should be fired. The beer was hot. I dont want to even look at this place on my way to the Ryman again. I paid 42.00 for so called cafeteria food it that. If you look at my previous reviews i tell the truth and this place is awful. Patrons should be paid to eat there

SUPER handy if you have tickets for an event at the Ryman auditorium. I had the Nashville Hot chicken and waffles sliders and they were fantastic! Was in town to see KANSAS at the Ryman, and a bunch of the bands fans, which are known as Wheatheads decided to all meet up for a bite and to visit face to face, since a lot of us talk to each other on the KANSAS fan pages. Cafe Lula was VERY accommodating, and let us put a bunch of tables together so we could all talk and hang out. Food is median in price, but is delicious. My daughter got a ribeye sandwich and it smelled AMAZING, and she raved about it after, so I know her food was good, too. Free WiFi is available, too. Stop by if you are in the area and give them a try!

Nope, nope, nope never again. The Ryman was awesome, but this place was a tourist trap restaurant. $60 for two adult meals and a meal for the kids to SHARE! Waste of money, especially with Pucketts right down the road. Salad was sad and goopy with soggy lettuce. Kids pulled pork sammy was basically flavorless. The bottled drinks we bought for 2.50 a piece were awesome though.
