Ive been coming here since I was a teenager. The coffee is great and they are open much later than most restaurants especially during the pandemic. The outdoor seating is pleasant and the food is consistently good.

This is the perfect place to come in, feel free and have time to reflect on the experience. Food and coffee are also really good too lol.Get the chocolate canolli.

Cafe Coco is a Nashville OG!! They started back in 1995 and are still bringing the goods. We score the drip 8.5, the espresso 8.1 and the Bologna Latte 8.6. We top in all off with some delicious breakfast! Morning or late night, the patio is amazing. Plus, music is back in the venue.

What a huge breakfast bowl! Perfect to fuel up for a long afternoon in Nashville. The staff was so friendly and the food tasted great!

The music, the atmosphere, the food, it was perfect. Roberto in the Backstage room, was great. Get the coco chicken sandwich and tater tots, you wont be disappointed! My son got one while there, and then bought one to go!

I’ll remember this place as the hip place with the tater tots. They were memorable. The food takes a little while but it wasn’t too long. They had really cool areas for anyone looking for a quieter and more upbeat vibe. I really like the back area with the stage and bar. It was the morning so the bar was closed. We took turns doing stand up on the stage and thankfully nobody else was there lol

We are not from here but stumbled on this place looking for something to warm us up. This place certainly did not disappoint. We sat in the small area in the back. This a nice place to just sit, chat, relax and enjoy conversation, food and music.

I used to love going here a couple years back but since the owner changed so did their menu, and I’m not just talking about a couple items, I mean their entire menu changed. I really miss the tuna melt and the specialty coffees they made specifically the “violet” coffee.Please bring back the tuna melts!

What a great place for coffees, and Craft beers. The desserts are scrumptious..especially the fresh made canolis. The service was impressive.

It is a very nice vibe being open late and having local music on Sunday night . The girl at the front messed up my order when I was very clear with her . The menu is very misleading . Under the sandwiches and burgers, which you would think everything had at least one protein item in it. I asked the girl if the skinny was vegan and she said no it had chicken on it, it had a vegan symbol so I assumed there was a black bean patty of some sort on it .. Also the gal said there was only 1 out of the 3 side items available and she said I had to pay $2 for a different side when I didn’t even have any options for sides . Then my Skinny showed up with black bean patty. And the sweet potato fries that were extra were WAY TOO SUGARY. Anyways the girl at the front doesn’t listen very well and the terms of service are not very friendly.

One of the few places we found open late. We liked everything we ordered. I ordered the Avocado Cobb salad with Bleu Cheese dressing. It is a large salad and it was very fresh and tasty. My mother ordered the broccoli cheese soup. It was super, super cheesy and tasted homemade, also good.She also had a grilled cheese which had pesto and a variety of cheeses and we ordered it with the oft spoke of tater tots, which did not disappoint. I had an Ace Perry cider, a bit too sweet for me. Mom had a chai latte which she enjoyed. Staff was super friendly. I will definitely visit again.

It was a nice brunch. The Nashville bowl was delicious. The mimosa was ok and the live music was great!

This is just not the place it used to be. I used to come here all of the time before the new management took over, and it has just went way downhill. 45 minutes now and I’m still waiting on my food on a rather slow night, and that seems to be the norm from other reviews. Sadly, I won’t be back after this.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is top notch, you have got to try their fresh sweet potato biscuits they are to die for literally, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Downtown Nashville . The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Downtown Nashville. Highly recommend!

Good hip vibe. Classic dining place for college students for group projects or club meetings. It’s also a great place to go on a date with someone you’re interested in, especially on a Friday night, Most importantly, they make one of the best pastas near church st without charging you a ridiculous amount. The only problem I have is the long wait time (40 minutes for a pasta is below average).

Love this place! Great for a small bite. Be prepared to wait, as every thing is made to order. But its well worth it. This place is nostalgic and anytime Im in town I make it my business to go to Cafe Coco.

Nashville institution. I love the iced coffee and how friendly and helpful the baristas are. When the weather is perfect there arent much better laid back patios to hang out on.

It can be a bit slow, but the food is interesting and the staff are a lot of fun. The coffee is of course excellent. The space is fun and eclectic.

Shared a meal with my daughter here before leaving for my mothers funeral. The food was fantastic...biggest surprise was the tater tots....yummmm.

Pretty good place to visit. There is hot chicken and waffles, which was okay. The poutine is great to try and comes topped with a sunny side up egg. There is a great dessert selection and alcoholic beverages are available, as well. Give it a try.

We stopped in for breakfast. We enjoyed the food and the iced lattes were delicious! Pricing was very good for the quality And quantity. Each meal was $9.00 and there was plenty of food. The lattes were $5.75 for a large and I’d pay twice that. We got The Knight King latte, which was white chocolate and peppermint.

Definitely a hip & welcoming place away from the loudness! Our servers were great & friendly as well.My only complaint is the food wasn’t top tier & on two separate mornings we ordered the same food as before but they both came out cooked different.

The staff are super friendly, if the weather is good they have a large outside sitting patio some with shade some with sunshine. the food it worth the wait and work the bucks!

Cafe CoCo is one of my go-to places whenever Im in Nashville. The vibe is pretty awesome. Whether you are there to get some work done, enjoy a great meal or just hang out for a few drinks there is something for everyone. A plus is all the different spaces you can hang out in. Whether is the front patio, heated side patio, indoor front or backstage lounge, you are sure to find a comfortable place to just relax. Love this place!

Breakfast was fine but service was terrible. We waited a little under an hour to get waffles and a salad with the restaurant almost empty. I can only assume the kitchen was severely under staffed. They also ran out of butter for our biscuits!? I would not recommend.

Same as it ever was... Kinda. Some of the specialty seems to have slipped away but the menu has expanded (since many years ago). Service is good.

Also no creme and sugar tableside, but you can get up, go inside and help yourself.The deck is pretty nice with streetside charm.Trying to be as nice as I can here, but I wouldnt go too far.

The weather was perfect so we stopped here for breakfast on the patio and were not disappointed. The food was pretty rustic but was tasty and well priced. I love tots with my eggs!

Such a cute place. Love the environment. The workers are so efficient. The food is amazing. A good variety of different healthy meals. Definitely recommend for everyone to visit.

We hosted a baby shower here. It was awesome, staff was easy to work with and the outdoor space was heated and had easy access for guest to do the “walk thru” shower. Would definitely recommend if you need a place to host an event.

The atmosphere and vibe was nice and relaxing, and the staff was nice. However, the food was absolutely terrible. Portions were extremely small and the quality was very poor for the price you pay. We ordered the biscuits and gravy as well as the chicken wings and waffles. The gravy was cold, and the biscuits tasted like cardboard taken out of the freezer and thrown in the microwave for 30 seconds. The waffles were chocolate sprinkled with cinnamon, which there was no indication they would be chocolate on the menu nor did the guy taking our order inform us. They were more like a cookie/cake type pastry than waffles. The chicken wings were decent at best. They had a good seasoning, but the quality of the meat wasn’t the best either. We wish we could have gotten a refund but needed to rush out to get to an appointment. Probably a better place to go just for drinks.

Dont know. didnt go in just walked down the street past the place and was asked to give a review but Ill give it five stars looked like a great place to eat I noticed their green house and assume they grow a lot of their own stuff. Didnt have time to eat today but I will have to check them out soon their establishment did catch my eye and looked very inviting

This little cafe is such an answer to prayer! I am in school and needed a place that was opened later so I could study and this place has the late hours I needed. The food is amazing and I have yet to be disappointed by their amazing staff and service.

I had the pleasure of going to Cafe Coco for our WFA signing party. What a great group of employees. Fantastic food and had a great time. I will definitely be going back.

Great place to go to unwind or party hard. Cafe coco accommodates everyones preference. Not to mention the coffee, alcoholic beverages and different array of foods are awesome. The Music City Mizfits held our yearly signing party at there venue and everything was on point. Especially the wings people couldnt get enough of them.

Had amazing chicken wings at Cafe Coco. Cocos Wednesday night 25 cent wings are something to schedule your evening around. Their in-house sweet chili wings are an absolute must order!

Have been dining here for fabulous morning breakfast for 21 years. Lunch with friends, and at one time was one of the few places in town that severed food at 2am - and safe.I appreciate the make over from years back. Miss the way it looked 20 years ago.Visit Cocos Italian Market in Sylvan Park too!

We went in a group of 7 tonight, the guy working the counter took our order- seemed nice unless you asked questions. As he made drinks he would just look in the cup and say “ok cool”. We had a few baristas in our group, we were excited to try this coffee shop.... it was not coffee. It was cold milk with syrup.We didn’t get all our drink and he was very frustrated when we told him we didn’t get our drinks.Didn’t froth the milk just made it bubble for 5 seconds and dumped it/ poured the shot over- and then added the syrup to the top...... not good. Bathrooms stunk out in the hallway, very dirty! We were very excited but it was a let down

Cafe Coco was amazing! We went for a super early breakfast after a long night out. There were options for vegan and gluten free, and the coffee was delicious. We sat outside and the patio was super lovely. The staff were friendly and happy to take special orders. Its open 24 hours too!

PB and J - before we ever knew one another, we both shared a love for this place. We both have been coming here since high school (and people say millennials can’t commit). The reason for the 4 stars is only because their lines are always long. This isn’t a pop in and out kind of line - so need to be able to have a few when you come in. They also don’t have a bunch of outdoor seating when it’s cold so know you might need to snuggle inside on rainy/cold days. There is a covered side that has heaters/fans, but this is a smoking area, so that keeps us out of there.The drinks - we dig all of their coffee drinks. Honestly, this is why we both come here. The basic coffee is amazing as are their cappuccinos. They have some beer on tap too and the back bar has more selections as well.The food - a mostly sandwich heavy selection, but classics that will satiate your appetite. They have plenty of vegetarian options as well, so when one of us is trying to limit meat (j does this, not so much pb) there will still be options. The picture below is from our trip today. J got the americano panini (with chips) and PB got chicken parm panini with fries. Both were filling and delightful. Highly recommend any of the paninis.Parking - there are a couple of coco spots in the pay lot, but if you park in ones that have numbers YOUR CAR WILL BE BOOTED, unless you pay of course. For real, whoever is in charge of keeping an eye on this lot must love their job because I have seen people get booted in under two minutes (impressive really). There is a ton of street parking though so if you feel uneasy, we suggest parallel parking.A solid classic that draws a hip crowd (j insists she is not hip but calls Pb a hipster elitist so infer what you may) and sometimes has some live music. Try it out already.

Kat, not the one that works upstairs, was very rude from the moment we walked in the door. She told me I was making her uncomfortable because I didn’t have a mask on, but I simply wear a mask to protect myself and I was about to go 4 feet away and take it off if I had one on anyways. She treated us as if we had the plague. My friend set her card down, and she waited until she took a step back to grab it, as if she wasn’t just touching the exact card she did. She also threw the receipt and told her she needed to sign it. She wouldn’t speak to us, and just very rude in general, made both my friend and I very uncomfortable and unwelcome. We came here to eat, that’s why we didn’t think it was a big deal to wear a mask. If we were coming in here to shop, we gladly would have wore one.

Really disappointed in what this place has become. Ive been coming to Cafe Coco for about 15yrs and my last visit was terrible. Its not the cool, welcoming place it used to be.-The menu is totally different than it used to be, some of my favorites have just slowly started disappearing.-There is no local art on the walls like there used to be, no music, and looks totally dull.-Their entrance is just a big wall of merch with their logo on it?-They now close early and stop offering food at certain times.-I was used to an eclectic staff who was always stoked to be there....not so much anymore.-Its always dead. I used to see the place where there was almost no where to sit in the place and now it seems like no one is ever there.The last time I went in was a little later at night. A couple in front of my friend and I ordered food. However, when we attempted to order food for the 2 of us we were told that they couldnt help and the kitchen was closed. There were only 4 total people in the place so it seems a little ridiculous to not take our order.I wish I could get the old Cafe coco back....

The online menu is not what is offered. Menu has changed. Building is in dire need of renovations. Not clean and very old. Food was edible but over priced.

Horrendous service for lunch. 3 people stood around and did nothing while there were tons of people waiting. They dont even serve 25% of their menu anymore. I waited 45 mins for lunch for them to make a pizza that looked like something my mom made me after kindergarten class. It tasted awful, I couldnt even finish it. They only get 2 stars bc their breakfast sandwich was half decent.

Coffee was OK, but place is dirty and food was simply bad and overpriced. Yuk!

Came with a couple friends today to enjoy the nice weather and eat outside. The staff were very friendly and helpful: they made great suggestions to help us decide what exactly to order.My boyfriend got the hot chicken and waffles. He said it was better than most: the waffle was high quality and the chicken was crispy and flavorful.I got the bagel and lox. The tots on the side were perfectly golden and crispy. The bagel itself was good, as were the lox. I love that they add sprouts on top, too. Overall, it wasn’t the best bagel and lox I’ve ever had but a good, filling lunch that hit the spot! My iced latte was GREAT. We did the “dealer’s choice” - the barista essentially makes a custom latte with several flavor syrups. Cool idea!I will mention that this place was not very busy when we came (Sunday at about 1pm) and there was a bit of a wait for our food. This is because they make everything to order. So don’t come if you’re in a rush. We didn’t mind at all because we got to enjoy the sun outside.

We had the big country breakfast and the grilled cheese with vegan chilli, we were disappointed to see the menu shrank considerably but glad they are still operating. We sat on the heated side patio which is only drafty because they have plastic flap doors. The highlight for me was the Jack Daniels cola haha!

The coffee is really good. I stopped by before getting back on the road. The service was quick, which I loved, the staff was fun. They served plenty of food. It was a very good overall experience. I definitely recommend their espresso drinks.

Gross. Food was bad staff was arguing about employees in front of customers. Felt like a Hells Kitchen episode.I would recommend new management and a good cleaning.

Great coffee! Went for breakfast as well. Food left something to be desired. Portion on the biscuits and gravy not worth what you pay for it. Wife had a croissant breakfast sandwich and tots, sandwich literally had two pieces of bacon on it. I work in the restaurant business and Im just a stickler for giving people what they pay for.

My wife and I happened upon this place based on a hotel stay in the area. Extremely glad we took a chance on it—excellent experience. Food and coffee were exceptionally fresh, the service was personable and the location is in an old house converted into a restaurant/coffee bar/etc. Will not only come back but will tell everyone I know who travels in this area to come here as well.

Cafe Coco is cozy little place. If you just want some coffee or a full blown meal they have you covered. After sampling several of the menu items I can verifiably say that several great options abound. Good place to drop in for a quality bite to eat that isnt too expensive.

The place is nasty. The bathrooms were wrecked. The service was terrible. The girl at the cash register wearing a Movements shirt (great band) was NOT friendly whatsoever, she never smiled or had any sort of good customer service vibes. I asked her what the soup of the day was and she just replied with there isnt one. I asked if any of the pastries were vegan and she just replied with no and thats it. I wanted to order hot chocolate but she said that the chocolate was expired. So after the rudeness, I just didnt order anything at all. My 2 other friends and I might have ordered something from the menu if the service had been better, but decided against it. We will not be back, and we will not recommend that anyone go here.

Amazing Hot as Flock chicken! Batter was incredibly light and crispy with a nice level of heat. Is definitely recommend if you like spice! Other flavors for the fried chicken were pleasant as well. Do yourself a favor and order it!

Expensive prices cant compete with poor customer service. Not impressed.

Fair warning that Cafe Coco is no longer open 24 hours- we were asked to leave at midnight, which is chill, but not when we had already paid for 3 hours of parking.Aside from that, great food and good portions. A lot of stuff on the menu that looks worthy of exploration, and I will most likely come back.

Had a smoke house burger. Now thats a fine piece of cuisine. About $15. But they had a sign for frozen margaritas, and didnt have any. Its warm out. They need to fire that up.

I have been a customer of cafe coco for the last decade. Ive met so many of my great friends, and what I consider family now, through here. I appreciate the past owners (Id rather not name drop anyone) for that. I understand completely needing to give the business up; that makes sense.What I don't understand is how Coco, even in the absolute best and absolute worst of times, could thrive so long due to the owners, employees and regulars, but it has been torn apart in as little as two months under new management. No regulars are welcome anymore due to being close with former employees. We sat there, paid for food and drinks, watching and fleeing from the Zoo York sized cockroaches running around because we loved the people working there. I have no place stating what has happened on the business side, so I wont, but Ive never seen employees treated so poorly before. It is so hard to watch your closest friends deal with that. Im so glad everyone is getting out of this place now that it has taken a turn for the absolute worst. I am asked countless times a day at my place of work where to go while visiting Nashville, and I have always recommended cafe coco until now.Banned or not, cafe coco will never receive my money or recommendation under this ownership again.

I am sure they are a fun night club, but their Restaurant etiquette is not their forte. You have to order from the counter. I had breakfast and after a 30 minute wait it finally arrived....absolutely cold. No wait staff to serve you...youre basically on your own. With little overhead you would expect prices to be low.....well thats not the case either.

A college student staple serving coffee, draft beer, handmade Italian cream sodas, bar food, and live music late into the night. Do not test their parking attendants, either, because they do not play. A great place to get drinks before or after a show next door at the Exit/Inn.
