Brunch today at Café Intermezzo at 2nd and Demonbreun downtown, wow! Best restaurant does an excellent job on all fronts. Happy wait staff, great ambience, brunch done right with a robust menu, lots of options. Pricing is in line with like places, maybe even price slightly below typical brunch prices. You need to use their own reservation system on Resy at their website. We had a table with five people, just an awesome spot. I think the most unique thing on the menu was Croque- Monsieur which is ham, cheese, a very hearty meal probably way too much food for the average person to eat. Stopped in here to grab a bite to eat after multiple places were too busy or closed and WOW. These guys are so kind and accommodating. I never usually write reviews, but these guys are fantastic. Dalton took such great care of my friend and I and just made us feel at home. Definitely went above and beyond! I look forward to coming back here again and again.

After a long day my wife and I decided to try this restaurant. We arrived in shorts and sweatshirts and were welcomed in! I had braised salmon and my wife had spicy tortellini. The food is phenomenal as well as their signature drinks! We WILL be back! Our server Erin was wonderful, very attentive and helpful!

Great service and food here. Servers were kind and always accommodating to us, as well as getting us our drinks, appetizers, and food in a timely manner. Food was great, all ingredients tasted fresh. The whole vibe of the Cafe hosted a old time elegant vibe. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Staff was friendly and attentive especially Michael. This visit we had the chicken Florentine crêpe, minus the crepe this time, Belgium waffles, Cubano latte and peach bellini and everything was delicious! This was our second visit and it won’t be our last; it’s my new favorite local brunch spot..

This place offers a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Had the hummus bowl and Frutti di Bosco with espresso. Wait staff was enthusiastic and attentive to providing great service.

My husband and I visited Nashville this past Spring and in looking for a place for lunch, wandered into Café Intermezzo. Very cool place décor wise and staff was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. The lunch was excellent. Bathroom spotless. Id go there again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! :-)

Bougie atmosphere without being pretentious. I loved the open kitchen so we could watch the cooks. The food was outstanding! We had brunch, coffees and ended with desserts! The Italian cream cake and the cheesecake will have me dreaming about them. I wish parking was easier but it was worth it!

OMG! Havent seen this since I lived in Atlanta. Not a large selection but its more than enough. I dont care where you had dinner, THIS is where you need to come for dessert and coffee!!!!

How does this place only have 250 reviews? The architecture and atmosphere is really cool and the desserts and coffee are amazing! Next time I want to try the food because that looked delicious as well. Will definitely be coming back for some more Oreo cheesecake. Yum!!!!

Had an amazing time here! Came for a late night coffee and dessert. Incredible ambiance, awesome service. Got the tiramisu...you guys, they import it from Milan! SOLD. This would be an amazing date night or wine night with a girlfriend. The owner Brian was very attentive & went around asking how everyone’s evening was & even thanked us for coming. Just overall...lovely experience. Highly, highly recommend if you’re wanting to experience a piece of Italy in Nashville.

I selfishly hesitate to even write a review of this place. This cafe is a hidden gem and I’m worried too many people will find this cafe. This is one of my favorite spots in Nashville. Amazing ambiance, unbelievable cheesecakes, and it’s never too crowded.

We had a group of 6 and received some of the worst service I have ever seen. The place was not full, quite a few empty tables but our waitress didn’t exist…..to the point that our hostess took care of us. The hostess did her best and I applaud her but where was a actual waitress?? 5 of our meals came out before I received the drink I ordered when we sat down. My meal came out as everyone else was finishing up. Cute place, good food but what’s up with that kind of service?? I seriously debated leaving while we sat for over 30 minutes without anyone checking on us after we were given water. We could see other waiters doing a fine job with their customers, we just lost out on luck of the draw a suppose.

Had the Eggs Benedict and Croque-Madame - both very good. Kids Belgian waffle was probably the best outside Europe.

The location was perfect and the decor inside is amazing. They have so many coffee choices and desert. We did not eat the food but the prices are very reasonable. We enjoyed and Relaxed. If you visit Nashville make it one of the stops.

Good good. Family stopped in for lunch but is a little expensive, asking upwards of $6-8 for even a coffee and $10 for a single slice of cake. It’s worth a try if you have some play money to spend on food.

I have never left a negative review for I believe in lifting people up. But this....This restaurant has a great menu. The decor is cozy. Hostess polite. There was no wait and it was not busy. People were leaving as we got there and those tables remained empty. I ordered a sandwich; my husband crab cakes and eggs. It took 75 minutes after ordering when the crab cakes and eggs came out cold. It was kindly taken back and a fresh warm meal delivered promptly, which made me question the wait since I only ordered a sandwich. The manager was very apologetic and did not charge for the meal. However, the waitress; oh my word! She was inattentive often disappearing for long intervals. She brought me water and not my husband who ordered coffee. My water sat empty for long periods. Towards the end of the meal my husband asked for water, she picked up my long standing empty water glass to return with one glass of water that was given to my husband. Ten minutes later my glass of water appeared with no comment from the waitress. The bill had not arrived and as I was taking my credit card out of my purse the waitress snapped “I’ll take that” and held her hand out. No bill was presented. She then brought back my card that was ran and the receipt that needed to be signed. This waitress was so bad that I thought A camera crew was going to jump from behind a curtain and tell us it was all a joke. Never again.....

General manager is rude and unprofessional. Absolutely disgusted with this experience.The owner should be disappointed and make it a point to over see the establishment and how it’s being ran by their GM.

Amazing place. My #1 spot when I visit Nashville for hot chocolate and food. The music is unique, the atmosphere is very classy and my most favorite pet is the customer service, they just straight up lighten your day. I came with my parents to Cafe Intermezzo Nashville for the first time yesterday for my birthday. Everything about our experience was exceptional. The hostess was friendly and both of the young men who waited on us were so nice and did a great job. The food here is incredible. They have a small menu, which makes it easy to decide. I had the Salmon Portofino topped with tomatoes and feta, with mussels and asparagus in a lemon garlic herb sauce. It’s not often I can say that everything on my plate is perfect, but this was one of those times. We had tiramisu and Frutti di Bosco for dessert, and my mom and I had coffee-again, all delicious. The restaurant is warm, welcoming, and comfortable. I will absolutely be back. I have been to the Atlanta location for breakfast-if you’re contemplating trying the hot chocolate, try it! I tell people all the time that it’s the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. Thank you, Cafe Intermezzo!

We had a great time at Cafe Intermezzo yesterday. We had cappuccino I had carrot cake my friend had the Turtle cake, both were amazing. The staff was very nice. The place is cozy and inviting and a wonderful atmosphere.. pricey but worth visiting.

First time visit. It’s a very lovely place with very lovely staff. No wait. The beverage selection is so extensive. The pastry tour is amazing. The food and drinks are well worth the prices. Will return.

Hostess had us wait 10 minutes to sit in an almost empty restaurant. The server brought us our appetizers, no napkins or utensils and failed to keep water refilled. When basil pasta that I ordered with sausage was brought to me with chicken breast on it, and I mentioned the error, the server began to argue with me that it wasn’t on the menu (which it was) and then offered up “breakfast sausage”, eventually came back with 1 sausage split lengthwise like a hot dog! Server only gave us tiny appetizer plates to share our pasta dinner. Then, another server gave someone another customers salmon salad. Then took it away and gave to the right person. Very poor service

Beautiful place always friendly staff, the coffee and cakes are delicious. Seriously one of the best cups of coffee you can ever get in the town.Maybe looks like is an expensive place (I thought that) but the prices are very decent and they do happy hour that include some nice cocktails.Good option to have a date o have a nice and relaxing moment.

Restaurants and fine dining have been my thing since childhood and for 30 years I have explored fine (and not so fine) dining nationwide and globally. Rarely am I pleasantly surprised by my experience. Happily, Cafe Intermezzo qualifies as just such a pleasurable surprise.Expecting a tourist trap with subpar food and mediocre service, imagine my elation tasting food worthy of the name fine dining and service that I can only describe as impeccable.You must eat here if you care even slightly for Italian food. You will go away pleasantly surprised.

I hold a very special sentiments about Cafe Intermezzo in Atlanta and wished for a long time for it to open in Nashville. My wish was granted, although in a subsidized version (twice less cakes). Luckily, it didn’t effect the service quality. I was also pleased to see Turkish coffee in the menu, something rather unheard of in local coffee shops, unfortunately. And it also tasted right. The pumpkin cheesecake was lovely.The only suggestion I have is to spend more time on reviewing how to make and serve a gluehwein.

Avocado toast was soggy from the egg water dumped on my plate, it was also brown like it had been sitting out. The only seasoning were the sprinkling of sad onions.

My friends and I really loved this place, location is really good which is close to Broadway and its a little less noisy than Broadway so you can seat in balcony and enjoy from fresh air. I recommend two items in menu 1- their Turkish coffee which is real Turkish coffee and it smells incredible 2 - their pasts youll taste something really special.I recommend to go there for dinner because I had better experience in dinner time

While u step in to this place u feel its different, design, music, decoration, kitchen is right in front of you and, its completely different kinda European restaurant in Nashville, resturant manager, Tim and Mike our server were great and Ally gave us great Cake tour, food was great, my pasta was amazing and more than that best Turkish coffee in Nashville.

Atmosphere and service were fine. Our sweet server was great, we reserved a table and got seated early. Coffee was pretty good but pricey. However, water glasses at our table and table next to us were dirty and water had noticeable food debris. Both of our tables sent them back. Food was sub par, you can get better brunch food at Panera. Split a salad, soup and appetizer. Got comped for soup because it was cold and served in dirty dishes. Food crusted on bottom of salad bowl. Asked for no bacon on salad but bacon was left on. Upcharged for chicken in the salad but chicken was over cooked. Wish we had gone elsewhere.

This place was a real delight! We were downtown and looking for a cup of coffee when we saw the amazing sign out front and knew that these were folks that we wanted to support. Inside was super inviting and the centerpiece espresso machine was a thing of engineering beauty. The real important part of any coffee shop review, must be the coffee. It was awesome! I’m an Americano drinker and this cup did not disappoint. Great flavor, good and hot, a real delight. Check it out!

I love the original Cafe Intermezzos in Atlanta which has been a favourite. And they expanded to Nashville about a year ago. We went here after a show on a Friday night and had a really great time at the bar.Not the usual bar scene as I had my daughter. They were slightly understaffed and therefore we sat at the bar. But thankfully as we had a great night chilling and having the best conversations with Tally a super sweet Barista, Will the (Kungfu) Mgr and Dani.The Grilled Chicken used to be really dry but the new Chef has thinner marinated slices and it was melt in your mouth succulent that my daughter finished all of it despite the pepper kick.The Turkish coffee was really robust and the pot of Night of the Iguana Chai was a perfect end to an already awesome evening.

The atmosphere is amazing. Its like you stepped into another realm. The theme of the restaurant is beautiful. The food was amazing they have more than just coffee and muffins. Although the coffee I had was delicious as well.. Definitely a great place highly recommended.

My fiancé and I ended up here on Valentines Day. We were on our way to another restaurant, but we saw this place and immediately cancelled those plans and stopped here. It is such a romantic old world European setting, dinner and desert were wonderful. The overall experience was one of our favorite dates yet. As it happened, there was quite the blizzard in Nashville that night and the falling snow that had helped set this romantic scene also made it impossible to find an Uber. Our server called several cab companies until we found a ride. Just incredible service all around. We will always remember the blizzard date at the beautiful café we found by accident, and the very sweet young man who helped get us home.

Terrible service. After checking in, we got a text saying table will be ready in 15 mins, but ended up waiting for 45 mins before we were seated. Waited for about an hour, with no food. They were all over the place with their service. Did not bring the right coffee, did not bring right drink, had to take food in a box since they did not serve us for so long, and finally the food wasn’t all that great either. When asked about the delay, all we got was a “sorry about that”, with no real explanation. The server was not attentive to us, and seemed pretty blunt. They did take the food off our check, but by then, the damage was already done.Unfortunately, this wasn’t our first experience. We had a similar experience before, waiting on food for over an hour. We used to like this restaurant, but it’s definitely lost it’s way over the past few months.

Weve been here multiple times and love the coffee and desserts. Tonight, however, a drink lady at the bar kept pulling her breasts out and flashing the restaurant. The manager refused to remove her, insisting he would speak to her. Im not sure well be back.

Went in for Tiramisu. Came out with Berlin Hot Chocolate and German Chocolate Cake. The tiramisu was made authentically but the portion for the 10$ price tag was pathetic. The german chocolate cake at the same price and portion was not good at all. The Berlin hot chocolate tasted like swiss miss but watered down. Very disappointed with the high price and low quality. The atmosphere was pleasant and interior design was beautiful. Good place for an expensive disappointing date.

Had a WONDERFUL lunch date. This restaurant reminded us of the cafes in Paris. The food was amazing (we had a burger, and pasta, cappuccinos and cake) and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere was lovely. We cannot wait to return to try more of the dessert options!

My experience here was fantastic! Phoebe was my server and she was very kind and professional. I stopped by with a friend for some cake. The raspberry almond torte is light, fruity, moist, and has a delightful melt in your mouth finish with a hint of nutty almond flavor. I will be back!
