One of my favorite coffee shops all-time, not just in Nashville, but ever! As someone who does freelance work and spends much time at coffee shops, the experience here is always great for hanging out. During my most recent visit to Nashville I knew I had to stop by for a while, and wasnt disappointed. They have added some partially covered outdoor seating and had all the garage doors open so you could walk right up from the parking lot. The barista working the register helped by recommending the Scarlet iced tea which was great! The ambience here is bar-none, such a unique concept. I also personally enjoy their selection of music which is played through a record player (they also have a display of all their vinyl over by the restrooms). I highly recommend checking out this spot when youre in East Nashville. Ample parking and good vibes all the time!
Wow. What a glaringly different and better experience than the one that I just had at Retrograde coffee. Not only was my Barista (I think his name was Jake?) super super kind, but the drink I ordered was prepared quickly and it tasted delicious! The vibes here are way way cool and could accommodate both a nice date, a study session, or a pop in and out. Really cool decorations and a good selection of items.Definitely going to be coming here more often.
AMAZING biscuits, highly recommend anything on a biscuit here (homemade, fluffy, buttery deliciousness). Also excellent seasonal lattes :)
This is a great coffee shop - funky vibes, plenty of indoor seating, limited outdoor seating, wide menu and SUPER tasty coffee with plenty of interesting flavors. Only giving 4/5 stars because it is quite expensive. Nice to treat yourself once in a while, but not a place I would visit regularly at their price point. That said, try the bourbon vanilla coffee it is A+.
Everytime I drop like more than $3 on coffee i’m always like, “why the hell did I pay so much for bean juice?” Not here, this place is dope and has the best coffee in East.
The drinks are decent, but the biscuit sandwich is very not good. The biscuit was cold and flavorless. The inside was warm yet unseasoned. We also received bacon instead sausage on one of the sandwiches which wasn’t a big deal. The staff is standoffish which also isn’t a big deal if the know what they are doing.
My husband and I are huge craft coffee drinkers (and home makers!) and we absolutely LOVED Barista Parlor! I got a 16oz iced latte with oat milk (my fave splurge drink) and their espresso is so rich and full-bodied. I loved every sip of my drink and the atmosphere is so fun and rustic! Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys an excellent cup of coffee in a cool environment!
Great spot for a cup of coffee plus the owner Andy is very friendly and personable; he went out of his way to make this experience great.
Barista Parlor was a stones throw from our AirBnB, and we couldnt have survived our weekend in Nashville without our daily fix of coffee and breakfast. Really nice space, good quality coffee and food (try the breakfast burrito!). Staff was competent and polite but not especially friendly, and with a celiac in the family we were disappointed there wasnt anything gluten-free on the menu.
Love this place! Im from out of town and it just feels like home. Great staff, environment, and the coffee is amazing!!
My husband and I have been patrons of this establishment since you opened up in East Nashville. I say that because I want you to understand that the complaint we are making today is shocking. My husband ordered online and went into the store to pickup our coffee and biscuit. When he arrived he was informed that you were out of lids. Not the biggest deal if we were having breakfast at the store, but my husband couldn’t drive the coffees home without them spilling in the car so he asked for a refund for the coffee. The guy walked over to what I am assuming is the manager to tell her my husband wanted a refund. In plain sight of everyone including my husband she said to the guy, “You have to be kidding me. He wants a refund because we don’t have lids?!” Apparently she ranted on for some more time before coming over to give him the refund. My husband explained to her that he heard everything that she said and that it was extremely rude. She didn’t apologize, she just said, “I get it. I will give you a refund.” All while still being extremely rude. My husband told her that we come all the time and while she didn’t know that he didn’t understand why she felt it was okay to treat customers in this manner period. My husband has said that she was so rude that he will never come back again. If he feels that way, how many other patrons feel that way about rude staff. Not to mention we live a few houses away from the owner. Is this how you want your neighbors treated? This incident happened 6/27/21 @ 10:15am. Hopefully this will help you pinpoint the rude employee that is costing you business.
Great coffee, refreshingly large space that is open-air and has nice music playing. Comfortable and casual atmosphere as opposed to some of the sterile or clinical feels of hip coffee shops. One of my favorite places to study, have meetings, or just hang with some friends at.
Barista Parlor is amazing! I love the energy and vibes. The staff are super friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. If you have a dog(or pet) they have a spot for them. They play music but played on a record player, which to me is awesome 😎
No flavoring, no customizing the food. Our sandwiches were so salty that we had to throw them away. Way too expensive for bad tasting coffee/food and the staff was so rude, especially the one bringing out the bags of food.
Really cool hipster coffee shop with plenty of space to work. Loved their bourbon vanilla coffee!
Excellent atmosphere, staff was not super friendly but serviceable.
Great food & coffee, first time in Nashville so I had to try.
Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and efficient staff. Great coffee
I cannot say enough! we went to the Gallatin location. great atmosphere, delicious coffee! There pour over has so much flavor. The breakfast sandwich was also delicious.Access: I didnt see any accessible parking spots but there are spots that work. no stairs and lots of room to maneuver a wheelchair.
The Vietnamese cold brew, while pricy, hit all the right spots. I also got a biscuit (BEC) that, while again not the cheapest breakfast option, hit on all cylinders (soft texture, fluffy eggs, full flavors). Generally friendly ambiance and lots of enticing options on the menu. One of the highlights during my weekend stay here in Nashville
The Iced Whiskey Carmel was great.
Cute place over all.. definitely hipster by any standards, but still enjoyed the open concept of the building. Coffee was not all that impressive although presentation made for a good instagram post 😅. Don’t regret checking it out but it’s definitely the kind of place to go to drink okay, over priced coffee in a hip, picturesque location.
This place is adorable. The vibe and atmosphere is a great place to start your day. A nice relaxing feel helps you wake up with a great cup of coffee. My husband and I both had the breakfast burrito and we highly recommend. Next time we are in Nashville we will have to come back!
Cool spot. Need more outlets.
Super high quality, great tasting coffee. Definitely a coffee-centric experience. Friendly staff and plenty of room.
This place is the embodiment of a hipster Cafe and I love it. The interior is decorated with a few motorcycles (that you can buy!) in addition to some paintings and weird, sciency beakers with coffee in it. Service is fast, the people are helpful, and the menu is pretty large. I love the fact that you can even buy the cup (seen below) for a little over $10. Only thing to note is that they dont have whipped cream.
Best coffee shop in Nashville. Best tunes. Best food. Best espresso. Best staff. Best ambiance. The end.Pro tip: Add Apple Butter to the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit for a mouth explosion.
The staff was very friendly. Had a Chai Latte and it was so so good. I really liked that they had milk substitute options. Next time I am in the area I will be going back!
I went with a group of people and my coffee was really good! One person’s coffee in our group didn’t turn out so well. For the most part I’m giving 4 stars because service was very polite!
Always enjoy ordering things online with a specified time and then showing up and having to wait an additional 20 minutes for something as simple as avocado toast when it’s not busy at all inside. Great work on making the latte 30 minutes prior to the food coming out too. Genius operation they got going here. I’ll go order sugar milk down the street at the local circle K next time.
I’m honestly so over this place. $9 biscuit and it was crazy small, the bacon was burnt and it was insanely salty. Horrible. Also I never experience a nice staff member….they are always rude. It’s really unfortunate.
Barista was rude af. She was a shorter, chubby, a little bit older lady. That was my first time here and will not be coming back. Learn how to train your workers. Your coffee isnt even good. Outdoor seating is lacking. The only reason why I went here was bc Ugly Mugs 4 minutes down the road was closed. Would give 0 stars for the rude barista lady if I could.
Great décor and decent coffee, unfortunately the service was subpar. We found the staff to be rude as well as nonchalant. The staff could care less if we were there or not...there are a number of other options in the area...
One of the many places to visit on your trip to Nashville.Don’t expect to be in a rush, that is what the drive-thru coffee shops are for.The coffee is superb, top choices are perfectly individuality prepared. Pour overs, drip, lattes and cold brew are some of the brewing choices. The breakfast options are purposely slim, they are all an excellent choice. My personal favorite is the Boss burrito, sausage biscuit comes in second.
Great ambiance and good music selections lots of seating/parking as well as friendly helpful staff. Ordered the blackberry jam and sausage biscuit with egg, it was alright although the biscuit isn’t strong enough to make it an actually sandwich as well as I would’ve preferred a fresh egg vs the flat folded egg. Coffee had good flavor which is great bc I take it black.
Great spot for reading or some work
Atmosphere was great. Food was overpriced for what you got and it wasnt anything special. Coffee tasted like grounds. Kids hot chocolate was way overpriced and 6 oz. Just not impressed. Really overpriced.
Amazing coffee, excellent studying atmosphere, love the garage doors that can open up on a sunny day!
Quirky coffee shop in East Nashville. Massive space that appears to be a former garage. Offer all sorts of pour ivers and espresso drinks. They also have the Slayer coffee machine is a nice touch than the suual la marzocco. Place is filled with younger folks buzzing away on their laptops during the day. They also offer some sandwiches, we had the BEC on a biscuit which was solid. Can also buy merch, mugs, coffee equipment like chemsx, scales, grinders, etc. Great spot if in the neighborhood.
The service here was not so good It was ok. But they messed up are order and did not give us a refund and took a little while. I would give it a 1.5 or 2 but it was very cool in the inside of it and had some unique things.
Great coffee and vibe. The staff have always been nice. There can be an ambiance of snobbery. You ask, Am I cool enough to be here? But that depends on who is in the restaurant.
Coffee lovers dream in a converted garage with lots of options. Opposite of corporate coffee
Super cute place to have a bourbon flavoured latte and delicious croissant.
$7 for a 12oz latte with almond milk. A little overpriced 🤨
Tasty coffee, great service, and reasonable COVID-19 precautions taken.
Uber Cool Coffee!!!If you’re a coffee lover in Nashville you have to put aside a morning to check this place out...All the positives..The craft coffee is great. Slightly bitter and sweet. It’s setting is perfect. Open air when the weather allows. Spread out. Ample seating to hide and work your java head into a frenzy, or chit chat with your bestie. Great tasting food too, I missed out on the sweet options. They must go like hot cakes. Or hot muffins. Or any thing hot!The negatives..It’s a little pricey. Dunkins it ain’t! So top up your Apple Pay. It’s not the fastest service so don’t expect it to be a quick drive through place. You come here because you want to enjoy it, not run with it.
A friend of mine loves it. Thete was nothing on the menu that interested me, thus I did not purchase anything. He loved his tea, though
The food was okay (ie. not great nor bad), but it was highly overpriced in my opinion. A BEC biscuit and a breakfast burrito with two rather smallish coffees was well over $30. There was plenty of food, but just too expensive.
Cool place, but what they call large is a small cup of coffee, defiantly not a daily routine, the coffee is good but pricy.
Great coffee spot with tons of atmosphere and tasty drinks. Wait staff is very friendly.
Amazing coffee shop. Unique and fairly priced. Parking is a bit confusing.
This place is a great, happy to be a regular when Im near.
Impressive cup. Hip shop.
The atmosphere was cool. I ordered a tea. It took a while to get to me and it was a bit overpriced. The counter is in the middle of the cafe so it felt kinda awkward trying to figure out which side I needed to walk up to to ask a question, order, etc. If you are going to stay and work here, its a good spot, but if youre looking for a quick beverage, this isnt the best place.
Great coffee. Been stopping here for years on road trips since I dont live in Nashville. Were here during COVID19 and the staff have taken good safety precautions.
