Came in to Pep Boys with a minor car situation on a Friday afternoon after 4 p.m. When I came in the building I shared my situation with the staff and they immediately knew what to do! A repair person was assigned to me I explained my situation and he understood. He took my vehicle and got me back on the road quick, fast and in a hurry! I am happy to report that everything is well!! They gave me good information and really took care of me! Im glad I chose them to repair my car!
The staff are nice enough, but having to wait 2 hours at minimum for an oil change is pretty outrageous. And thats with a scheduled appointment! I have to get my vehicle serviced here regularly because of a maintenance plan through my dealership, so this isnt a one-off experience. Two hours is short by Pepboy standards, typically you have to wait about 4 or 5 for basic maintenance.
I can not say enough positives…I’m new to the area. I had just finished watching my grandson and trying to get home to let my dog out after several hours of being home alone. I got a nail in my tire and it was going flat fast. I live near Pep Boys and noticed how busy they always were when I drove by. I was tired, desperate and thought I’d be waiting forever. I pulled in and the guy at the front desk was courteous, professional and took all my information. He told me he’d keep me posted. I have some anxiety issues so believe me, every passing moment mattered to me. I was completely blown away when Joe came out and told me the tire was not only fixed but I was ready to go. He could see I was anxious and recognized I needed some good karma my way. He didn’t charge me for the repair and I was in and out in less than one hour. I was so happy I asked if I could hug him! Thank you so much Joe! Your kindness is SO appreciated :)
The manager at this location, Hunter, has got to be the most honest professional I have ever encountered in the auto repair business. I took my Honda Pilot to the 15001 Old Hickory Blvd location in Nashville, TN to purchase a new set of tires. After removing the wheels/tires Hunter pointed out that one of my old tires was a different size (it was about 2.5 inches taller from the rest). He asked who I purchased the original set from and suggested I call them because they just might provide me with some credit due to their mistake (I purchased the set of tires in March 2018 from another competitor). I made the call and the competitor said if I brought the car to them they would provide me with a full credit of the amount I paid in 2018 toward a new set of tires. Hunter reinstalled my wheels/tires and did not charge me a dime. He only asked that I remember Pep Boys for my future vehicle service needs. Hunter could have just slapped on the new set of tires I had agreed to purchase from Pep Boys and never said a word. Instead he put himself in my shoes even though he knew it may result in losing a tire sale on this day. Needless to say I was very impressed. I hope Pep Boys knows what an asset Hunter is to their company. I would not hesitate to take my car to this location. Best customer service I have ever had.
I got new tires, brake, and wiper changed. Overall service is good.however I feel they can treat people better and explain things with patience. Wiper they missed to put the clamp or lock cover, when I went next day to ask they just managed and maintained it’s a different brand for driver side and passenger side. But I clearly see it’s same brand and they missed somehow. With this incident, now I don’t know how the other services quality might be. I lost confidence with them reg customer service
Their service is always slow.. 4+ hours. I only come here because it’s convenient and in the neighboorhood. Somewhat nice people though.
Hunter, one of the guys working at the shop, was super helpful! We needed some screws out of our van from the old seats and he was happy to help us remove them, where all other garages wouldnt give us the time of day. Customer service was really great. Highly recommend!
The store manager, Hunter Marzano was SO kind and attentive. Such a sweet guy. We came in because I had a nail puncture my tire and he helped us out quickly& efficiently. I would totally recommend this place to anyone I know!

Joe saved the day!!! We had a flat tire from a crazy chuck hole the night before we were heading back home. Only two tire stores open and after sitting 1.5 hour at the first one and they couldn’t help we called pep boys. Joe was repsonsive on the phone and offered amazing customer service. I was very satisfied with my visit! I was struggling to get my tire fixed due to a screw. No other store had last minute appointments. I stopped at pepboys and the guy named Joe assisted me! Everyone were helpful because I know nothing about cars! It was fast, they were able to get me in and out. I appreciate it!
So they had my truck two days for an alignment, 4 tires, new lug nuts, and a tuneup. I had a bad control arm and outer tie Rod end. At the end of day one everything was not done. They got the truck before they opened btw….. Then day two came and we couldn’t get all of the tps (air pressure sensor) working, and we forgot about the lug nuts. Mind you the passenger front is missing one! Also there is a missing tie rod boot clamp. So I said I will bring it back….. I leave and there’s a vibration in one of my rear wheels, and it pulls to the right! I am like seriously??? So I am bringing it back and I will put an update on here.Update: alignment was off, and all four tires needed to be rebalanced! But the Manager Altavis took care of me!Everything is good now!!!
Good people. They worked with me to get my needs met, and they really seemed to want to help. Which was an awesome experience. I appreciate all of what they did to help me get my truck running, and I sincerely thank them for working with me to get things done within my budget. At the end of the day, these guys are good people. Thank you, guys!
Paid a $700+ bill just for one of my parts that wasn’t used not to be returned into my car, called and was told i’d get back to within the next few hours and never got a call back, called again said they were still looking for the part and didn’t get a call back. 2 days later i called and finallythe manager went to the bay my car was worked on at and told me my part was there and ready to be picked up whenever, got my windshield wipers supposedly replaced but when it rained they were making the same noise that was being made prior to it being “fixed” i was told they were “entry level wiper blades” and that they could swap them and put a better set on and i pay the difference, when in reality i don’t think the blades were even changed. horrible service will never go there again!
Appointments are pointless. I gave a 4 star because they did at least get me a lyft ride home and back. However I needed to go back to work but couldnt without my car. I went in for a wheel balance and rotation. Came out needing a wheel hub. Not sure what happened. The staff was helpful as much as possible yet cordial.
I gave this place a 5 star rating a while back, but I am adding my review because each time Im needing service these guys really are the best. Its been my go-to location since we moved here and they have always been nothing short of awesome!
So I knew my little car wasn’t braking correctly so I took it to this Pep Boys. Got an astronomical quotes price for brakes, both rear and front, an oil change (had just had one a month prior?), and a bunch of other repairs, over $2700 worth. No way I could afford it. I picked up my car, being told it would be a free brake check, and the guy said I was being rung up for over $30. I said, “for what, I thought it was a free check?” And he said, “yeah. Not the suspension and wheel check for $24.99.” So without calling I guess they thought that was appropriate? Even with the tax that didn’t sound right, turns out they charged me for some shop parts too.Went to budget brakes down the road, they told me I was being taken for a ride. Got only my rear brakes, since the fronts were operating at SEVENTY-FIVE PERCENT CAPACITY STILL, for about $700. Never again. They’ll dupe you.

I walked into the Pep Boys without an appointment, and spoke to the man at the front desk (Joe). I let him know that I needed an oil change and it was super fast! Not only was I in and out, but Joe REALLY blessed me by fixing another minor problem that I had with a screw not being put on right from previous car check ups. I didn’t have to ask Joe to do this, it was just out of the goodness of his heart! I will go back just because of the type of person Joe is! Ask for Joe, he’ll hook you up!

I have never experienced such wonderful customer service!!! My car started sputtering and I pulled over to the gas station near Pep Boys. I walked over to their shop and Joe & Hunter took care of my situation. They walked over to my stranded vehicle, jump started it and helped me get it over to their shop where they diagnosed the problem and repaired it. After being told by my vehicles dealership that I would need to replace a component for nearly $700, I took a chance and contacted Pep Boys to get a second assessment / inspection of the car. In almost no time at all, Hunter, Joe and Eric were not only amazingly professional and friendly getting me set up with an inspection, the outcome was more than I could have even asked for. After a look under the hood, they were able to pinpoint the issue was a simple faulty part that they were able to replace in a matter of minutes. I honestly havent had automotive work done so quickly, and positively than this visit, and I would entirely recommend this particular location to all of my friends and family. And to the staff that I worked with at Pep Boys, thank you all so much for such a great experience!
We were having trouble with our 07 Camry’s brakes in which they would shake the car anytime we were going downhill and needing to brake. We made an appointment at this Pep Boys because last year they were great to me when I got a flat bear closing time, and just like last time I was treated to great service.I made an appointment for a Friday and was greeted by Eric. He did a fantastic job if making me feel welcome, explaining everything that was going on with the car, what it needed, and helped me figure out which coupon would benefit us most. As the work was being done, he and Joe made sure to keep me updated on everything happening with the car, and when I finally got it back, it drove like a dream.The next day I was helping my kid get into their car seat and noticed something plastic hanging from underneath the car. Called and spoke to Eric who said to bring it over the next day and that’s exactly what we did. Once there, Eric and Joe immediately took care of us, explained that it looked like a pothole may have caused a part of the mudflap to come undone. They brought me over to show me what was going on and how they were able to fix it. Our whole family was in and out in ten minutes (and on a weekend no less). There was no charge for popping the part back in or inspecting the vehicle or anything. Just good people helping out their customers. It’s one of the reasons I’ll definitely be back here. They have some truly wonderful people employed there and they have my gratitude, and my business.
I wish I could do a negative star rating. These guys are the BIGGEST rip off. Over charging is an understatement. As well as telling us we needed new brakes, when the brakes we had are brand new. They also threw away a tire they said needed to be replaced....I’m guessing it could have been repaired. But we will never know. In the end they wanted to charge over $800 for something we had repaired at a reputable repair shop for $200. We’ve called customer service at the corporate offices, but have not received a call back. It’s disheartening that a large company like Pep Boys would resort to such tactics. Go ANYWHERE but this place! True con artists!

Pep Boys may loose your work order and Manager Bob may try to blame you 3 weeks after doing nothing o fix car.This is 2nd time I was told this... but I must say, they did fix & take responsibility the 1st time. I recommend Chris for store manager. He is Customer Service Professional and MAJOR ASSEST to the company. Current Manager Bob has lost a loyal customer.These same records are going yo be presented to corporate b/c this is not the 1st time. I had issues but I believe in 2nd chances and will say the this team fixed there 1st mistake. God Bless Chris! He seems to know how to talk to customers, take responsibility and problem solve. Chris accepted responsibility of his company the last time my car was forgetten about.Now this Manager Bob, has yet to offer sincere apology and accepts ZERO responsibility for my car being there going on 3 weeks.My car is under warranty so payment is not the issue and knowing you had to Comp and provide free service last time, Id think hey lets make sure we take care of this returning customer. Instead here is the simple versus of whats happening...I turn my car in as it suffered same issue as 2-3 months ago when car a/c went out & car died. 1st time pep boys forgot they had my car over a week and ask me to bring it back, but it was on the lot the entire time as I was away in Memphis. Chris went on vacation and I guess the work order got lost (idk, idc the details b/c Chris EXCEEDINGLY Prioritized & Professionally RESOLVED the issue)...Now same issue happens a/c goes out, car didnt died but I felt it would if I continued to drive on it. So b/c of CHRIS, I was happy to take it back (plus I live close & there was a warranty on the work). This time I got Bob.. I called ahead to let him know I am having it towed in, he said that was okay... just recommend you call to make sure we received it... (I did so). To my surprise he called the same day to say it was done & fixed by about 6pm. And, I was shocked, amazed, and impressed again, ready to leave A Raving review. But when I came for pick up, I went for gas and notice the a/c blowing hot.. So I turn it back in after-hours. (Approx. 9/26/18)I recieved ONE call w/ a voicemail, that I still have from a Chad (b/c I dont delete voicemails) on 9/27/18. It said to call back and I did so and was told it was just to collect more info on why I brought it back.I give them all day to call me and then call them in last hour open and I was once told there was no work order and Bob will call me next day. But when I called back Bob said there was a work order and let me know he thinks the work will cost more than car. Also adding, Sorry about that I have some new guys working and they dont know how to access everything yet. Which to me makes me wonder why you leave them to close the store and answer questions, if youre not accessible b/c I was told by that employee (who shall remain nameless), he called your cell phone both days I called w/ no response. I am not naming him b/c although he may be new he called on you Bob and you were not there to help him, help me by finding work order and providing me a status update.Since then and the numerous times I called, despite the false report by Bob to save himself that I have not and was not reachable, I called corporate twice. Once 9/6/18 and today. Today I spoke w/ Gabriel who informed me the reason the Area Director: LEE, didnt contact me was that he was on vacation. However he let me know Bob said I never called him, which makes no sense b/c how would I have been told one reason for back up was a funeral and why would Bob call to say this to Corp?** I had to shorten my review comments will leave its entirety w/ The BBB, YeLp, Pep Boys Corp, & elsewhere

I was having a couple of issues with my vehicle, 2002 Mercury Sable, namely a strong vibration from the front of the car and also concerns about the condition of the brakes.I called in, scheduled an appointment with Hunter, and arrived fifteen minutes before the appointed time. Hunter greeted me promptly, took my car back and within twenty minutes, had an answer for me.It turns out that the Les Schwab tire store that sold me the tires had improperly balanced the front two tires incorrectly (thus causing the vibration). Not only did Hunter repair the issue but he also rotated all four tires, checked fluid levels in the motor compartment, air pressure checked and had me test drive to ensure that the issue had been resolved.Everything was great! I would love to say Thank you for the repairs, for the professionalism, and attention to detail. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a vehicle repair of any type!! I’m very, very happy with my personal experience and will go back to this store for any future needs or work.

Never book online. They triple book themselves so an appointment is not really an appointment. Then they couldn’t give me an appointment same day. All the while my engine is leaking oil and no solutions. Pick another car service company
Joe was great! Worked me in while I was on an extremely tight timeframe. I was uncertain about the sound of a rub against my back tire. They quickly put the car up, found the problem and removed it. No more than 10 minutes. And at NO charge! Joe & Nathan demonstrated great efficiency and professionalism! It’s why we keep going back!
I was waiting to receive an email or txt guiding me to the review area but didnt get one. Nevertheless, I feel it necessary to take the time to find this website to write this.I had a good experience at Pep Boys and JOE was my technician. My tail lights wouldnt turn off so I had to take a terminal off the battery so it wouldnt drain. This was on a Thursday and I needed my car by Monday. I took it to Pep Boys on Bell Rd near Old Hickory Blvd, told JOE my situation, and he assured me hed have it done Friday or Saturday depending on parts. Long story short I got my car on time and I was unstressed and happy.Thank you JOE!I will be returning to Pep Boys for service when I need it.

I have come to pep boys for oil changes for almost a year and it has constantly been a longer wait every time I’ve come. I always set my appointment online but for some reason they continue to treat my appointment like a walk in and have me wait for 3+ hours. They are so inconsiderate of other’s time. We all have work to do and places to be and to allow to schedule in advance but still be forced to wait for a little pass forever to get service is crazy. I don’t recommend them at all.My boyfriend came once for a diagnostic at 9 am. We left and called several times to check when the car would be finished. After them saying soon for the 3rd time. We arrived back on site at 3 pm only to see that they were just starting on the car. We had to cancel and he had taken off work that day for the service, only to receive nothing.Please NEVER waste your time with this place, seriously.!
Hunter and Joe are a dream team!!! I initially went to a competitor’s auto store since it was close by to get help with my dead battery and they weren’t even willing to help. Hunter on the other hand went above and beyond to test and ultimately replace my battery. He also changed a tail light that was out. My husbands AC has also been out and they made us an appt for diagnostic service at a great price!!! When your car is not working, it is literally the worst, and these guys made our lives a little better and easier during the process!!

Did fine on the oil change I had brought the car in for, but tried to tell me I needed $2500 worth of work and replacements right away that I didn’t actually need. I took it to another mechanic and they said all of the parts they had told me needed replacing were fine for at least another 10k miles
Billy, Joe, and Jim are by far the hardest working, most hospitable mechanics I’ve worked with!! I’m so thankful for these guys! They helped get me in ASAP and went 100% out of their way to make sure that I was satisfied, Pepboys is lucky to have these guys on staff!

I needed to get to the doctors office for blood work and had 2 nails in my tire. When Joe told me how much it would cost to patch I said that I would have to come back when I got my next check, but Hunter and Joe said they would take care or my tire and the bill. I was impressed and overwhelmed by the care and service I received. Joe, Hunter, thanks for your help and I hope you guys keep having fun at work!
This location in particular did an amazing job. I haven’t been able to get into the Nashville or Madison location for months because they never have the time. However when I came to this location, they got me right in, my car was started being worked on within 15 minutes of me being here, and was done within 30-45 minutes! They were very friendly, helpful, and fast!

Today was one of the bad experiences I had. I got an oil chafrom them last month and my oil light would flash when coming to a stop. Took it to Pep Boys today to see about it, and the person in the parts department just immediately told me to take my car to the dealership when I said yes to what make i had because hed seen that issue before alot of times and it might be covered by the warranty....go to Downtown Hyundai....they put oil in my car...and my car has no leaks. Not saying Pep Boys didnt put enough oil in my car when they changed it.....barely over 1,000 miles since the change....so Im just going to leave it there. Might go somewhere else to get my car fixed.
Absolutely terrible customer the last few months. I made an appointment about 3 months for an oil change. I dropped the car off and ran a few errands. I stopped in about 2 hours later and they hadn’t even touched the car. I had to wait outside for another hour.Took the car again today for an oil change. I had an appointment. I called on it a couple hours later they said it was next in line and would be ready in a couple hours. Called again a few hours later, and they said it would be at least one more hour before they could pull it in. I said that I would just like to pick up the car, and I would take it somewhere else. Then they said that they could pull it right in and get started on it after they had the car for 5.5 hours. I picked it up without the oil change and will not service my car at Pep Boys again.

Came to get a alignment for my car. I had a accident and my driver side door wont open. They said they wont do the alignment because of the door. I told him he can open it from the inside and dont shut it so he can get in and out because it doesnt open from the outside. He said no they are not doing it. But I went across the street to express and they said yes. They even gave me a discount on my alignment. Everyone express was wonderful. They are friendly and awesome. Got me in very fast. Bought one new tire and had it installed after getting a flat. Was in and out of there in about an hour. The service manager was very friendly and professional. All of the employees were very polite and professional. Very positive experience!

Unbelievable service! Hunter was above and beyond in helping to resolve a problem with my car. Totally unexpected! Honest, forthright and knowledgeable, he was able to diagnose the problem and supervised his guys in order to fix it. You now have a customer for life! Kudos to Hunter!
The guy was rude I had an appointment at 3:30 but they made what appointments at 3:30 but I came first and I have to wait till the other to arrive no thank you Ill go to another Pep Boys
Great service! I limped in there with a flat tire and they put my spare on for free.. can’t get that kind of service At Walmart.. I’ll be buying my tires from there from now on 👍😊

I am so disappointed in the lack of communication from Pep Boys. My car was towed late Friday night there and we knew they couldn’t get it until Saturday. Saturday we wait for a call about the car to know what is wrong. We wait and wait. We end up calling them around 5 pm. No one called about the car. When we called, we knew something was wrong. There was a break in at pep boys and someone broken the back window out of our car and stole a few things. They didn’t call us!!!! We didn’t know anything until we called!!! That is so wrong. They promised a rental car until they could fix the car and replace the window. They would replace the window and paid for the repairs. We go Sunday to get a rental and they don’t rent cars out on Sunday. We had to get a Uber to work Monday. Now, they offered to pay for the Uber. But it is the lack of communication! You promise a rental do it! Then, we were promised communication Monday with updates on the car. We didn’t get a call until 3:00pm! To top off the whole thing, when we got the car back... they didn’t get the glass out of the back of the car which they promised to clean up! Disappointment!

I’m here now waiting over 3 hours for some basic services. The communication to customers here is TERRIBLE... I set appointment a week ago for the earliest time available for a reason. If it’s going to take forever to do something that you know the customer is expecting to be quick, LET THEM KNOW. I’m in the service industry and this is horrible service... Pick somewhere else
Been here several times when the Firestone up the street was too packed to even greet me at the door. Their prices are competitive and usually can work out to a discounted amount, work quality is great. Had my brakes done and when I took my car to a dealership for a prepaid service oil change, they said the brakes looked great. Very quiet location, wish they could have a few more people in the shop. Id come back here again for repairs.
Purchased a new battery here. After checking around town, Pepboys had the best price/warranty mix. They offered to install it for free, which I wasn’t going to do, but apparently they charge you an $18 “core fee” if you don’t let them install it. So I figured, whatever, let them swap it out for me. I booked a 10 AM appointment online and arrived at 9:55. The car wasn’t ready until right at 11. I’ve swapped out plenty of batteries in my time and it never takes more than 5 minutes. An hour just seems ridiculous. I understand they were busy with other jobs, but that’s why I made an appointment. What’s the point of an appointment if they don’t honor it? Overall I’m satisfied with the product (it’s still hard for me to accept that a battery costs $100+ these days) but the service was poor.
I have been a customer for years. This place is one of the few Auto stores that still focus on customer satisfaction. Every time I visit the store, the Reps always give me great advice and they make sure I am happy with the product I purchase. I encourage my family and friends to go to this particular store because of the great knowledge in the Auto industry. Not like other stores that just try to sell their product to meet sales..I recommend this store to everyone. It is the best in Nashville.
Dont come here to get your car serviced if you value your time. I dropped my car off for oil change and was told it would be 1.5 hours. I left and came back 1.5 hours later and they hadnt even started. AND a mechanic came out and asked questions about servicing an employees car! So Im waiting 2+ hours and they are servicing their own cars!! WTH?!
I was hesitant to go to this place but I coworker told me that it was the only place that he counted on so I went. When I went I was pleasantly surprised by the help and knowledge of the people that were there I will probably never go another place again these people came out and did work on my car with no charge. It was completely awesome it may have been the day it may have been the week who knows but I had a great experience.
Service Manager named Bob and technician named Eric were both fantastic! Their commitment and service to customers (even like me who came in late in the day without an appointment) is second to none. They both represent Pep Boys extremely well. As Arnold would say, Ill be back. Thanks to both of you for taking such good care of me and my daughters car.
My daughter went in with an infant and paid for four new tires. They let her drive out of that place with her rear tires wobbling when she hit 40. She is there now waiting for them to figure out what they did wrong ! Do not go to this place ! They do not know what they are doing!
What a wonderful experience! I highly recommend taking your car here! They really are a great example of amazing customer service when you really need it. I couldnt thank the staff enough for their help. Kevin and Jim made a dreadful situation of having to get my car fixed a lot less stressful. They were friendly and went above and beyond to help me with what I needed, even offering me a ride back so I didnt have to walk. The only way this would be a better experience was if it was free. Go see them, you wont regret it :)
Staff was very friemdly. There was an employee that is a former Veteran. He was very helpful and carried my car parts. Exceptional service.
