I stopped in here yesterday on a whim after a work call in the area. Im so glad I did. This is the first, true sewing machine showroom floor Ive seen, unlike any of the fabric shops. Rows of top of the line machines and the salesman Albert was exceptional. He helped me find a FMQ foot for my 1952 Singer 301 that works perfect. I also picked up some beautiful glass head pins and my new favorite rotatary cutter which is all metal, so much better than the cheap plastic one I was using. I just wish I lived closer but I will definitely be back when I am in the area!

I am a sewer and quilter. I needed to upgrade from a very old machine that worked good but was a little wary of the new digital machines. The owner and his assistants gave me a lot of personal attention and helped me by giving me a great deal on a Pfaff machine I could afford. I fell in love with my machine and quickly became super skilled at using her. It’s a beautiful big store with two huge rooms. It’s completely new as they recently moved from a location near by. They are super helpful and will answer questions over the phone. The assistants have helped me solve some quilting dilemmas as well and were interested in my projects. They have classes too. I get a lot of notions there and they have great fabrics that always seem to work for difficult design problems you might face. They gave my machine a tune up recently and they will carry it out to your car. Don’t waste your time driving to distant super stores for a great machine and a great price. You won’t get personal attention and the passion and heart that I see from the owners and staff here. Because of my machine purchase I’m thinking about starting a sewing business selling quilts and toss pillows. This place really inspired me and they understand creative people!!

Was having problems with a machine Id had for several years, went into Above and Beyond and Ron, Chris and Al took good care of me. They were always patient and took time to explain various issues to me. Im now quilting on a Baby Lock which is so fun, easy and user friendly. They offer classes to familiarize buyers with their new machines and are just a phone call away when I have a question. Their service contracts are excellent and keep the machines sewing in good as new condition over time. I am confident that they are trustworthy and they know their machines. I can strongly recommend Above and Beyond.

This place is great! I have purchased 2 different sewing machines from Above & Beyond. Each time they provided owners classes. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn how to use the various features of the machines. The teacher was extremely patient and willing to answer questions as they arose instead of waiting till the end. I have also taken classes here for machine embroidery. The class size is limited and the instructor circulates and clearly explains things. The entire staff is friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful.

This is one of the nicest sewing stores I’ve been to. The staff is very helpful and informative. They offer all of the newest embroidery and sewing machines at very competitive prices. Went to get my machine fixed. I walked out wondering what they fixed. Whomever “fixed” the machine judging by their work didn’t put much effort in it. Whelp what can I do, I already circulated money that way...regretfully. The machines in the shop are nice that’s a plus.

I moved to South Jersey a few years ago. I happened to be in the area so I stopped in to purchase something. It was an item that they didn’t carry but they ordered it for me and had it shipped to my home. Everyone was so nice I was treated like a long lost relative. Ron and Diane have the best store ever! I miss their sewing classes and wish they weren’t so far away.

The staff are very knowledgeable about sewing machines. They did a great job fixing my old Singer and were able to show me options for a new machine when I’m ready to transition. They didn’t pressure me at all. I will definitely go back when it’s time to buy my next machines. They have great sewing classes as well.

I purchased a Locksmith Lizzie in May. I have had many questions which were answered over the phone. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I took my machine back for repairs for bobbin issues that were caused by me and they were very helpful and didnt charge me for the repair. This is the second machine I have purchased from Above and Beyond. I highly recommend them!

Great place to buy a sewing machine. They listened to all my issues and concerns and were able to help me pick the right sewing machine for my needs. I also had a 1-1 class to explain my new machine. Because I live most of the time in the State of Florida, an offer was made that they would do a video of any problems I might have to assist me. Would definitely recommend this place!

I traded in my serger for a new Bernina sewing machine and had such a great experience. I loved getting a demo of the machines I was interested in and then when I purchased one, I was able to try it out at home before taking the owners class. The one-on-one owners class was really helpful in getting questions answered and learning other tidbits about the machine. Everyone at the shop is welcoming, friendly, and patient - no question is silly.I found the shop to be easy to find with its own parking lot. Its very organized and has a huge selection of different sewing related machines. Their selection was quite impressive. They also have supplies and special presser feet.Im very happy with my purchase and I especially love supporting a small business where you get the personalized touch. There arent many of these sewing machine shops around these days, but this one is definitely worth making the trip for if youre looking for a new machine or supplies.

I just tried this store for the first time and was blown away by the knowledge and service. I brought my machine for repair and service. Chris insisted on carrying it from my car to the store. Then as he was about to write up the ticket for the repairman, he spotted my problem as I was describing the situation. He decided to set it up, check out his fix and it worked. It still needs routine service but I was able to take it home and finish my project for now. It wasn’t until I left that I fully realized he didn’t charge me anything! I highly recommend this store.

My mother in law had an old Baby Lock (1970) needed repair. I took it to three different repair shops and none of them were able to complete the work. As a last resort through a recommendation from the last shop I reached out to Above and Beyond. Thankfully they were able to get the job done. They gave me an estimate, a time frame for the job, and came through like champs.If they can’t do your repair, it cannot be done.

Very helpful staff and owners. The selection of fabrics is not enormous but a good cross section of colors and designs so you should be able to find something to finish a project or add to your stash! Fabrics are frequently on sale.

Every class that I have taken or program that I have watched at the store has been most informative. Their classes have taught me new sewing techniques, introduced me to new sewing tools, and been enjoyable experiences as well. Ron and Diane and all of their staff are ALWAYS there when you need them, whether it’s a machine issue, a computer question, or help with a technique. They give assistance, advice, and support. They exemplify the phrase “there’s no such thing as a stupid question”. The classes offered are wonderful as well. No matter what the project, they walk you through all the steps and you always finish having learned something new. Often it can be something that wasn’t part of the project but is a valuable tip or bit of information. Oh, and the special events and guest lectures and trunk shows they offer are amazing. Let’s put it this was: I had several choices when I needed to replace my no longer working 30 year old machine. I chose Above and Beyond Creative Sewing and am glad I did.

I live in N.Y. I purchased a new Pfaff Creative Icon after meeting Ron and Diane at a Pennsylvania show. Both are very knowledgeable about both quilting and embroidery.I was pleased to see and use videos that they made for the community and to receive the training they set up- even though I had to travel a distance for it. I live quite a distance from them and had to travel by public transportation.The shop staff was also able to clean two other machines (Pfaff and Singer Featherweight) and helped me get additional feet I wanted.I also had fun and learned at a class I took there with a nationally well- known quilter.I think if you use them, you will be very pleased.

I only *wish* they had more garment construction/draping classes to offer. Mostly, its quilting & embroidery classes. Tons of notions & accessories to buy & great thread options too. Thats the only shop for my machines. I trust them completely.

The staff at Above and Beyond have always been very helpful whenever Ive had an issue with my longarm. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous no matter the iissue. I know that I can call them anytime and they will call me back if they are busy.

I just bought a used sewing machine from them. The quality of service there is really outstanding. I often wonder how small businesses stay in business in this economy, but it was pretty clear why this place is still around. I had Chris helping me (and I was there with my toddler), and he was extremely thorough (and patient), and I did not leave feeling at all confused, or that I still had questions. He understood my needs, and did not push me to buy something that was more expensive/new. I will definitely be back there in the future for my sewing needs. I very highly recommend them.

I recently purchased a longarm sewing machine from the folks at Above and Beyond. I made the purchase because not only did they have a great machine with the features I was looking for but the staff was very personable and helpful in the process. This was my first longarm experience and they were very helpful in explaining all the nuances of longarm quilting and how their machine’s design would be beneficial. After the purchase, they came to my home and did the setup and training on the machine. The staff was once again very knowledgeable and friendly, and provided training in line with my needs and expectations. I had an awesome experience all around!

My longarm needed repair. All the staff were kind and considerate. Ron and his staff not only fixed the problem, but gave my longarm a thorough check and gave me some tips about thread tension. All in all It was a good experience.

And by both of us being prior service I knew that when she said that, she meant it. Well months later I had a problem with my machine. I had never been to the place my friend told me about but I figured, If I want my machine fixed right, why not have the best American in the world fix it right?. We talked on the phone and I explained the problem and he (Ron) told me to bring it in. The store was clean and the men were all smiling as if they actually wanted to be there. And not long after I was called back to pick up my machine.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the staff of Above and Beyond Creative Sewing to anyone who wants to purchase a quality machine, have their current one serviced, or to receive classes. Good customer service is hard to find these days and I thank God for all the people in and the wonderful things that are coming out of that place. If you dont believe me, stop in for yourself. I researched and waited long and hard before I bought my serger. Big investment, one in which I had no experience. I am very happy with my decision to go with above& beyond, they know their machines and are willing to spend the time to help you decide which machine is right for you. They are accessible to answer questions and support you in your quest to become adept with your machine. Had I gone w amazon in an attempt to save money I am sure it would be sitting and gathering dust. I needed the one on one instruction, and I am sure I can avail myself of their support when I need it. Recently they offered a course for serging, which I was unable to attend, but I look forward to the opportunity to participate in a community sewing experience in my area.5 yrs ago I bought a new sewing machine after 40+ yrs using my old one. I thought this was my “dream machine” - & bought it through a company in Joann’s. They closed within the year& I regret not having that support that I need, even as an experienced sewist. I likely will buy a different machine through above& beyond, as I am not that thrilled with my current one. It sometimes feels as though sewing is becoming a lost art, but at above and beyond things are as vibrant and alive as ever. If only we had fabric stores in our area... oh well, we have the internet. I’m grateful to have above& beyond a mere 15 minutes from me, through them I have seriously upped my sewing game.

I initially took my Bernina 1300 MDC serger for service to another mechanic who did not fix the issue despite repeated attempts and made it worse as it then had additional problems. A friend recommended Above and Beyond so I brought my Bernina MDC 1300 for service. Ron and team were able to fix it quickly and it works great! I highly recommend Above and Beyond for servicing of your machines. They do a great job, quickly, are honest and charge a fair price.
