SCAM!I went in here two days ago for a simple oil change. After waiting 2 hours and spending $113 (+ a $10 tip) my car was finished.The next day, Im about 30 mins into my 2 hour journey and my oil pressure warning light came on. I pulled in at the first auto mechanic shop I saw and found out that my oil was dangerously low!I had to put 2 quartz of oil into my car. The people at Midas just emptied my oil and put the bare minimum inside the tank so I wouldnt notice right away. These people are scam artists that are willing to take advantage of people they see as an easy mark.Dont be like me and get your oil changed anywhere else but Midas in Nanuet!(Btw it was an older balding white man that worked on my car. I never got his name.)

Midas is all the best service place to go to. I have been going to them for years and the staff is amazing. They are extremely helpful and always taking care of their customers. No other place I would take my car too!

I was verry pleased with the work that was done to my car.staff there were plesant and verry assuring of there work .the supervisor Don was constantly let me know of the work being done. But like everything els if you go dont rush them with the work, go with the frame of mind that it will take time,even with an oil change.

Had a very good experience with them. My check engine light was on. I called and got an appointment on the same day. They did a detailed exam with photos and explanation. Fixed it before the end of the day and the cost was reasonable. They even did the inspection for free. Highly recommended!

Midas is the best. When ever I have issues with my car, I call them up and I tell them what the issues is. I get the ok to bring in my car and what ever issue I have gets fixed. The next time I will tip the person when I have another issue with my car.

Update 3/20/21: It has now been almost THREE MONTHS since I left my car with them. THREE MONTHS!!! It is STILL NOT READY!I picked up the car two weeks ago, only for it to break again after a 20-mile drive.Words cannot describe how inconsiderate, unprofessional, incompetent, and unqualified they are. How this location is still in business and not shut down by the Midas brand is incomprehensible. To mistreat a customer by that much and still be in business in atrocious.It has been dozens of times by now that they are telling me the car will be ready tomorrow. Every time I call them Im given a fresh lie on why its not ready. Dons latest trick was to tell me today that he is staying late to finish working on the car, only to close up shop and go home without a word.Also, the little form that Midas leaves us to fill out in their response - that is a lie as well. They never call back.Unfortunately I have to say that this has been the worst car repair experience of my life. I came to this shop when I heard a noise from the engine. They heard the noise and immediately told me the engine was blown. When leaving the car, I told them I would be away for about two weeks while it is being fixed. A week later I got a call and was told the work was finished. When I got back to the area, I called Midas to arrange a time to pick up the car and I was surprised to hear that it was still not ready. Every day, I was told it would definitely be ready in a day or two, and every time the completion time was put off to the next day. Due to what I can only call extreme incompetence, it has now been exactly 5 weeks since I left my car there and its still not ready. I had to keep calling to find out the status. Every time I was promised a callback it never came. The experience has been stressful, I lost a lot of time, and had to keep changing my plans because I thought the car would be ready the next day and it never was.From what I understand, they replaced the motor without finding out the reason why the current one broke. They told me the oil must have leaked out but they didnt bother checking from where, so only when the replacement engine blew they found out it was the oil cooler. I was given every reason in the world: COVID, snow, lack of parts available, etc.

It was a nice experience spoke with Don in the front and had my car looked at and worked on pretty simple and relatively quickly for the work required for my car, definitely would recommend if your looking for a shop to go to

The staff was very accommodating and immediately attended to my concerns. They made sure that the service was to my satisfaction. They also followed up to ensure that there was no persistent problem with regards to the initial issue.

To make a long story short I took my car in for a oil change before my drive to Florida, 3 hours later I finally get the car back, after paying $90.00 no receipt was given as they claimed the printers were down. on my way back from FL my check oil light came on, checking my Ford app, my oil level was read crucial levels at 5% remaining. I took it back where they confirmed no oil change was done. This is so unprofessional and could of ended up bad for me, my family and vehicle with such along overnight drive. if it wasnt for my app I could of ruined my car.

He couldnt have been more upfront and honest about the cars issues with both the dealer representative and with us. My front tires were totally gone and I was not able to leave my place and then I called Mr. Dave answered I ask him if someone can come and pick up my car and install 2 new tiers. I went to this Midas with an exhaust issue that another local mechanic shop screwed up and at the last minute with just 45 minutes left til closing time they were able to get my car in, diagnose the problem and properly fix the issue. They did an amazing job and the results were what you would expect from a nationally recognized shop like Midas. I was very pleased and am glad they came up first when I searched for an exhaust shop near me on the internet.

I gotta say, I havent had the best experiences with other chain shops in the past. However, I was pleasantly surprised dealing with Matt. He was very straight and to the point with me. Work was done professionally and in a timely manner. Highly recommended!

When you are blatantly lied to after asking not once, not twice, but 3 times, my tires were rotated, correct and you know they werent, theres a problem. The mgr.answered, absolutely yes. How do you know your oil was even changed, when in fact you know better. I chalked the front right and rear left in my driveway to code the tires making them visible so a rotation can be confirmed. Coming back 2 hours later to pick up my car, the chalk marks were in the same place,,,,,tires were never touched. I showed the mgr. my written diagram of the chalk marks I pulled from the front seat and compared them to the marks on the tires. He had nothing to say but Oh, Ah, Ooh, well we were very busy you know. This gave him license to lie or should I say steal? You pay for a service, you expect to get that service, as simple as this was. Buyer beware!!! Ive been a steady customer as well as my entire family for years but that day, MARCH 8, 2015, I JUST HAD A HUNCH. Midas, You have lost my entire familys business for good. I hope the owner reads these reviews.

Very quick and professional service at good rate.

I was told that I needed a new engine after I authorized for them to diagnose my car. Problem was...I had my engine looked at in Feb and knew that it couldnt be the case. They misdiagnosed it because when I took it to JEEP, they told me it was something else. Shortly after, a day or 2 later I receive a txt from Manager asking if everything was ok. I replied No and that they misdiagnosed the vehicle and i still had to pay the $70. I got no answer back and its been well over 2 weeks now. Not happy with that place and ive been going there for years.

Love this place. Ive had my car serviced at so many places and felt like I was being sold more than what I needed. Matt, the manager, gives his all. He did not try to sell more than what I needed. Its hard to find an honest mechanic and company. Well done Midas. Ill be back.

I dealt with the assistant manager and he was kind and courteous and helped me out in a very professional manner. The mechanic did my alignment and I am very happy with the service I received.

I am hesitant of chain type repair shops, but after reading other reviews on this Midas location i decided to give it a shot and i am glad i did. Called during the week to schedule for a Saturday appt, staff was great. The day of, they called me to tell me what the cost was and instead of trying to sell me a whole new exhaust they were able to just cut out the flex pipe and replace it, saving me money. They even tightened a belt for me (no charge). Service like that builds loyalty, and they certain have mine now!

Matt is great. If you want someone to be honest and more than fair, ask for Matt. He always delivers excellent service and is professional. He’s done plenty of my car work before Amd I’ve never left dissatisfied. Highly recommend!! You won’t be disappointed.

At any costs avoid bringing your vehicle here! Within the past 4-5 months Ive spent countless time and money being falsely informed that Ill have no more issues! Was here last Saturday for a check light engine issues to only return today Saturday, March 31st only to be informed that itll cost me over $2500 to repair my vehicle! I am beyond livid! Social Media is a wonderful platform!

Went in for an oil change (fairly priced), said I needed new brake pads and would take 30-40 minutes. Over 4 hours later got my car back and billed for reconditioned 2 rear brake rotors which wasnt needed. Nobody checked in to let me know an update or status of what they were doing to my car or that I would be there for a full day.

I must say with out going into detail. There was a screwup and the manger and owner both cleared it up and made good on the error so I was pleased with the out come. Thanks guys.

Made appointment for oil change and tire rotation. Came in at appointed time. They did everything and more! Gave me a check list on car, told me what to look out for, topped off the windshield fluid...and I was out of there in about 45 minutes. No complaints. Great job and at 1/2 the cost of the last place I went to. Oh, and good attitude too!

Gave me a good deal on getting a valve cover oil leak fixed because it was dripping on my exhaust making a lot of smoke. I brought my car here when it stopped accelerating on 287 on my trip from PA to ME. Everyone here was very nice and looked at my car right away. They were honest and did not try to get me to get any work done on it there beyond diagnosing the problem. They advised me that the work might under warranty and that I could get it done at the dealer and hopefully it would be covered. They did not even charge me for looking the car over and even gave my 1 year old daughter a little rubber duck to play with while we waited. It was such a relief to end up somewhere with kind and honest people when my car broke down mid trip.

Recently, I visited Midas for a simple oil change. I was informed that vehicle had an oil leak, I was reluctant having the work done, but the front desk guy took the time to explain my options and had the mechanic showed me where the leak was possibly stemming from and other probable work. Overall they were courteous, helpful and professional, and I actually got out in a timely manner.

I really like the guys that run this Midas. Sometimes men who run these places treat women poorly. Not these guys. They’re not patronizing and the took time to explain what was going on with my car. I’m coming here from now on.

Had mixed experiences here, some times really good and other times just horrible. Recently they did not do the work expect. If you bring your car here keep an eye on the work being done. Employees are nice people are nice but that does not mean the job is done the proper way.

I have a Ford Explorer going on 14 years and because of Midas (my local store) I feel that my car is being handled by professionals. Don Moore who Manages this facility in Nanuet NY is doing a fantastic job. Where can you go today and in my case wait for your car and feel a sense of security that you are not being ripped off? Sure in the early years of this car I ran each time back to my local Ford dealer but as the car started aging I needed to find someone who wouldn’t try and cheat me. Thank You Don Moore and I hope we have many more years together.

I for one am terrified of bringing any of my cars to automotive shops because of the countless terrible experiences I have had. That being said, the manager Matt is amazing. He is fair and honest, listens to any issues you may have and genuinely tries to help. Qualities like that are very hard to find in a mechanic shop, especially in big name shops like Midas. I drive over an hour to go to that particular shop, and have even had a couple of cars towed there to be fixed by him. From what I have seen he runs a tight ship and is big on quality control. If you live around that area, consider yourself lucky and bring your car there. You wont be disappointed.
