BEWARE!! I made an appointment 2 months ago (February) and today (April 8th) I get a text from them saying your appointment is being canceled because they over booked the schedule and won’t be able to get me in a week before my appointment and 7 days before the lake opens. When I called and asked why they canceled my appointment he blatantly explains that he’s sold a lot of boats recently and having (a lot of boats breaking and coming back) and because he is (having trouble keeping mechanics ). I’ve been along time customer of theirs and to be disregarded like that, I can sincerely say that I will never go back and will discourage my friends and family from ever shopping there again.

Idaho Watersports is TOP NOTCH! Wish more dealerships operated like these guys.

I drove all the way from California to purchase a boat from Idaho Water Sports and it was totally worth the drive! The guys there were incredibly helpful and took great care of us. Financing was done very fast and they made sure my boat was ready for the long trip back to Ca. I would drive back again for a boat purchase.

We have been going to Idaho water sports for a few years now. Bought our first boat through them this summer. Will and Kasey have been more than accommodating for us! Even when they were super busy, they made it seem like I was the only customer at the shop. Thanks guys!

We have had boat repairs/maintenance done here on a few occasions now and it’s always a good experience. Despite being extremely busy they work hard to fit you in. I spoke with Tiffany over the phone multiple times and she was such a pleasure to work with...very friendly, professional, prompt and she really went above and beyond to answer all my questions or find out answers to my questions when she wasn’t sure about answers. Great service!

***Unfortunately, the service department has really gone down hill! They are unorganized and the last 2 times we took our boat in it came back with the repairs fixed but suddenly had new issues. They are having a hard time keeping up with the servicing with the spike in boat sales. They are unable to schedule winterization in a timely manner before the freeze due to the spike on boat sales.Great employees and always excellent service. They have everything you need from beginners to experts. My go to for my favorite water sports!! I have purchased 2 boats through Idaho water sports. The second one was used and they were really good about making sure everything was in fantastic working condition even after the purchase.

The management (Christian) was so patient and great to work with! Very knowledgeable and answered every question we had. Great service!!

We just moved to Boise last year and we needed to find a shop for our boat maintenance needs. These guys are absolutely FANTASTIC! We had to get our tower mirror mount fixed, and every shop we took our boat couldnt fix it. But Justin and Aaron at Idaho Water Sports did. They provided us with excellent service in a timely manner. Their level of knowledge and willingness to help is awesome! You are missing out if you dont go see these guys for your boating needs.

Great service and great people! Chantel was awesome to work with. I called and spoke to her about a boat and she was very informative and helpful. I live in Spokane, WA which is about 400 miles away and she was very detailed in describing any blemishes with the boat. Even sent pictures of small scuffs. I was comfortable enough with her details that we drove 6 hours to purchase the boat and dont regret dealing with Idaho Water Sports at all. When Im ready to upgrade to a bigger boat, I will be driving back the 6 hours to deal with Chantel again!

Hands down the best group of guys and gals around. Mike Phillips is phenomenal at helping you select the right boat. Every year I have my boat serviced there and extremely pleased at the service and care I get. Even the guys on the sales floor helping you select everything from ropes to bards are exceptional!!!

Very unhappy and disappointed in the sales team. I see them in the store regularly because I take my boat there for service, but the way they act outside of work is pretty bad. I question the character of the employees that Idaho Water Sports employs. If you can find somewhere else to go I would highly recommend it. Im exploring other options.

We bought our boat here before they were Idaho Water Sports. Justin and the staff are amazingly accommodating. Theyve loaned boats and equipment when needed. Really appreciate their approach to taking care of the customer.

I purchased my boat from them about 6 years ago. The sales people were great and I enjoyed the experience. A couple of years later I heard a noise coming the the outdrive. I took it back and after 2 trips and roughly 800 dollars they replaced a number of things including u-joints, bearings and the bellows. All seemed fine for 3-4 years when the boat developed a leak on the outdrive. I attempted to make an appt but they were booked weeks out. I had to take it to another service center, and I am glad I did.The other mechanic discovered that the reason for the leak was the bellows were not installed properly alowing water to get into the outdrive, causing rust and destroying a number of things in the outdrive. The other mechanic discovered IWS beat the bearings into place instead of using a press and after all said and done 1600 dollars worth of repairs.It took 4 phone calls over a week and a half on my part just to get in touch with the service manager. While I understand my problems were well past the 90 day warranty, it was their mistake that caused additional damage to my outdrive.So, during my phone call with the service manager he told me that it is their practice to pound in the bearings with a punch but he does not believe it causes any problem to the bearing itself (does not seem right). All said and done IWS offered me $50 towards my next service.Im not sure if this is their standard of quality, or I just had a bad technician, but I can no longer trust their work.

I wanted to take a moment and thank Chantel Herbert, and Idaho Water Sports. We just bought a big boat from them and we were amazed at the customer service! Chantel went above and beyond to prepare the boat, demo the boat in the freezing cold weather, answer questions, and address any mechanical and maintenance issues we may have had with the boat! I am so grateful for her attention to detail, and her communication with us was absolutely top notch! We will absolutely use IWS for all services on our boat. When the time comes to trade up and get a newer model, we will absolutely use Chantel Herbert and Idaho Water Sports again! Great job all around.

We took our boat in for repair, were told it would be done within 1 week. after not receiving any phones call, we called them, to find out they had ordered the wrong part so we would have to wait another two weeks. We waited no phone call. We personally went to their facility, after they were fumbling to find our paper work, we found out they only did partial job. They felt bad and told us to come back for a free oil change after we ran the boat awhile. An oil change takes 30 minutes, we were told we had to leave the boat just for the oil change. No phones calls to use after 3 days, we called 4 times and left VM and did not get return call so on 3rd day we decided to just get our boat. Manager could not find our paper work, so we told him to just give us our boat back. His excuse was other boat owners are hounding him to get their boats repaired so he put ours on the back burner. What would have taken 30 minutes took 3 days!!!Needless to say we will not be take our boat to them ever again. The mechanics are great but front office is a disaster!!! very unorganized. I wonder why they just cant tell you up front that they are busy and it may take weeks. JUST BE HONEST, FYI there is a great boat repair in Caldwell, Canyon Boats in Caldwell, They finish their work on time an actually test drive your boat at lake lowell before they call you to pick it up. we have neighbors that gave great reviews.

Always a good experience with the sales staff and service department. Ive been taking my ski boat to them for 4 years and still make the drive even though I moved in to Boise. They get you what you need and I never feel like Im being upsold.

Not a happy customer. It all started out as a pre-buy inspection. We found a used boat (for sale by private party) that happened to be there for service on a carburetor, perfect we thought. We were able to talk to the service department and they told us how we can get a pre-buy inspection, $240. This to us seemed reasonable and worth peace of mind on a used boat to have a professional go top to bottom and make sure that our money is not thrown into that big hole in the water. Runs like a top...this boat is in great shape they say. Fabulous we think! Well, not the case. Get it on the water and spend 20 minutes trying to get this thing to keep running. Having to feather the throttle and continue to throughout the first run. Not being a boat mechanic but somewhat savvy in mechanical issues I believe it may just be that the idle needs adjusting . Take it home, adjust idle, take out again. No go. The boat gets beat up a bit by the dock as we try to keep this thing running. Ok, lets try replacing throttle cables, all three. Wait for parts...parts come in. Three of the same cables, oh wait we needed three different cables. Perhaps the office gal should have listened to what I was asking for. So a few phone calls later they send me to a shop in Boise for 2 of the 3 cables. Get home and put them in. Put boat back on the water, nope. Boat is stuck in reverse. Order that 3rd cable and wait. Go pick up 3rd cable and bring it home, oops wrong cable. Drive back to Nampa. So the first cable was the correct one (still didnt need 3 of them). So putting it in now, we shall see. Point of the review. I spent $240 on an inspection to buy a boat that runs like a top to have it sit in my driveway. The office girl sits behind her computer blowing bubbles with her bubblegum and was very condescending to me and well frankly could care less about the inconvenience. We would have never bought this boat except for their professional opinion that it was a good boat. I am just really upset that there was no ownership of this inspection that is about worth as much as the paper it was written on. Not one gesture to even try to make good on this. If they wouldve even operated the shift stick they shouldve caught this. Not sure where that $240 was focused at.

We took out 1998 Malibu Response into Idaho Water Sports in Nampa ID for summarization after having it winterized by that dealer. We made an appointment and my wife dropped the boat off but had forgotten to take the boat key with her. She said she’ll return with the key later that day but the dealer said they did not need the key and would be able to start the boat without it, so she didn’t need to make a second trip. Big mistake!!! When we picked up the boat we were told that it needed a new impellor and the part had to be ordered. No problem, we were also told that it would be okay to use the boat until the impellor arrived. We took the boat up to the lake the next day and it would not start due to a dead battery!!! When we called the dealer they pretty much said there was something wrong with the battery. The battery was less than a year old and why they didn’t say something about it when we picked up the boat is a mystery. A week later we dropped off the boat again at Idaho Water Sports in Nampa for the impellor replacement. We then took the boat out on the water once again and halfway across the lake the impellor hose came off and started filling the boat with water!!! I suffered some minor burns from the hot-water due to the impellor hose coming off the when I open the engine box. They had neglected to tighten the impellor hose!!! I fixed that problem but the very next time we took the boat out on the water it would not start due to a dead battery again!!! We ended up replacing the battery at our expense. I believe Idaho Water Sports had short-circuited the boats electrical system that caused the battery to go bad. Due to their sloppy mechanical work on replacing the impellor they were lucky it didn’t do permanent damage to the boats engine! Even though Idaho Water Sports is the dealer for our model of boat we are NEVER having work done there again due to poor mechanical work and even worst customer relations!
