These are the nicest, most helpful, knowledgeable, polite people. I would definitely recommend them for your hardware/propane needs. When we are in town, we always go there.

I was in town to work on a couple projects for my parents who were sick at home. I had to make several trips to this store to get different items or tools. I sought help from 5 or 6 different employees at various times and everyone was extremely helpful, patient, and knowledgeable and I was able to finish my projects in shorter time than expected.

My go to hardware store, I can’t stand the bigbox stores. Service is great, the are so helpfuland knowledgeable. Don’t try a rip you off,they were honest and gave me an online alternativefor a product they don’t carry. Impressive!

Owner is cool and a genuine guy had to wait for my key to be programed by the computer and walked around the place, staff is very nice and they have just about everything you could need. great price for my set of key fobs 2018 ram. Dave

I was just in Socastee Ace Hardware the other day. Had a couple of screen doors that needed to be repaired. The new owner waited on me and explained what they could and said it would be two days. Sure enough two days later I was contacted and told my doors were done. The workmanship was spot on and the price right. The new owner is really fixing the store up nice and updating alot of stock. Its nice to be able to support the small business owner in todays world of mega stores. They stock a lot of hard to find items. Who wants to walk around a 300000 sq foot store to buy a nut or box of nails. If you havent been there stop by and check it out. Takes you back to a time when life was a little less complicated. Good job folks... keep it up.

Great selection, feed/farm supplies and many items you simply cant find at the big-box stores. The staff are experts and always eager to help with your projects. $15 fill for a 30lb tank. They also sell Green Egg grills and accessories. Join the ACE rewards program and you will frequently receive great coupons in the mail. Stop here before going to the big box stores and experience a small-town, old time atmosphere where you actually get to have a dialogue with a knowledgeable human being.

...went in for a socket wrench 🔧 and an adjustable 🔧, one of the guys at the counter immediately without looking at the bolt said it required a special wrench from bike shop..lol what excellent customer service..this is not a typical Ace hardware store, Im sorry to say, same experience another time with a link chain purchase..so much for supporting the small guy, Im done with Socastee Hardware, and their rudness. Advanced Auto had the wrench set needed.

I have been going to Socastee Hardware for over 5yr just loved the place. I needed a storm window repair. It was the worst experience I have ever had . They had installed the top rail on backwards . The person that did the job was Rude . He called me a liar and he stated he had put it together right and his coworker told me and agreed with me that it was put together wrong . I had to go back and forth seven times before I was able to get the window right . A simple pop to clips and spin the top rail around . To make it right .Turned into over an hour and a half on the last day . I had to wait. Was obnoxious it’s is Sad but I Will never recommend Socastee Hardware to anyone again !

I entered Socastee Hardware to purchase touch-up paint. Once I entered the location, there was lady whom stated that she would be with me in a moment. After she approached the register, I asked her how she was doing? She didnt say anything to me. Then she looked at me while I was holding the paint and asked: What are you wanting me to do with that? The way she spoke to me was unprofessional and un-called for. I told her never mind.Then she backtracked and asked me if I wanted her to match the paint? I told her I asked how she was doing, and she didnt even speak. She told me she didnt hear me. Not sure how she didnt hear me, I was standing right in front of her: less than 3 feet away. She walked over to the paint and told me her husband would finish with my paint. If it wasnt for her husband, I would have left one star. Needless to say, I will not be returning again.I like to support small businesses, but I will not be supporting this business. Maybe she had a bad day. Regardless, that is not the way to treat your customers...

The place reminds me of the old-time hardware stores. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I needed a 17 foot length of hose for my camper with 1/2 flare fittings on the ends. The guys at the store were able to make me one right there as I waited. Looks like the store also fixes storm windows (glass or screens). Most ACE hardware stores send them out.

I love this place. It is a great place to get all my sons Cub Scout needs. The employees are always so helpful and willing to show me where everything is. I came in with a screw needing a replacement and they took me straight away to the correct screw. They are very knowledgeable of their products.

Been shopping in this Hardware Store since yr1997. Didnt knoworiginal owner sold it. Original Staff is still OUTSTANDING ! NEW owner didnt treat me with respect. I bought few things & cause it took an hour to find a .50 cent nut I needed on a bolt, & I asked for a washer too, But they tightened the nut on bolt & then the nut wouldnt come off so a washer could be added. $6.00 Labor ! Its never taken 1/2 hr. to find a nut when original owner owned that store & with his Staff. New owner needs to learn from the original owner & his staff thats still there !

Definitely a 5star experience from the time I walked in the door. All the assistance I received was professional and friendly. They made me feel like a part of the community even though they knew that I was a tourist!

I can always find what Im looking for here at a fair price. Its a good old fashioned, locally owned business where no matter how busy any employee may be they will go out of their way to help you find what youre looking for. Their propane is probably the cheapest Ive seen.

The propane is the cheapest in the Myrtle Beach/Socasttee area. Ive also purchase plants for my garden and they produced all summer/fall. I will be getting more plants from them next spring.

So many times my husband would go to the large chain stores and walk out empty handed and then go here and of course they would have what he needs. He’s a happy customer. A real Hardware store. What I mean by that is They have hard to find parts. The staff is always friendly and problem resolution oriented ( if they dont have the exact part they have a plan B ). Once, They took me into the back room, pulled out a box of misc. parts and searched for about 10 min, till they came up with the part. Cant picture that at a big block store. Reminds me of days gone by. Now, If I could only find a real gas station !!

Ok, so youve got to know exactly what you need if youre going to shop here. First of all, the staff might be the one & one or two other people; so dont count on help if youre going to need it. Dont think that itll be organized in any manner that makes real sense either. Again, if youre going to shop here, be local & know your stuff. They do have a lot on hand & in stock, which is obviously a plus.

Great old school hardware store with tons of merchandise all over and hanging on the wall! They are super helpful, courteous and knowledgeable!I went there after getting a hard time getting my rvs 9 yr old propane tank filled at a nationwide rent a moving truck distributor. This distributor gave me lip over superficial scratches and rust. I went and purchased a new tank and when i took it tobrent a truck, they threw my new tank on the rack and scratched it up! My Co worker recommend Socastee Hardware store, they recertifed my old tanks for practically nothing and handled my new tanks with care AND were $3 cheaper to fill my 30lb than this rent a truck distributor. When I need something from a hardware store Im going to them first!
