This place is great! Staff are so friendly! Im plus size and they have a great selection of good plus womens costumes. They have an amazing accessory collection! I was myself and the ladies in the dressing rooms helped me in and out of costumes (back zippers lol). I also had a bunch of questions. They were so nice and helpful!
Was able to find this years Halloween with no problem. I was in and out within about an hour. Staff was extremely helpful in finding accessories, assisting with the dressing rooms, and even quick at checkout. I love Imagination Costumes not for just my Halloween needs but also for my daughters dance attire!

Highly recommend this store. We visited during the Halloween season definitely had the best costume selection we have seen anywhere. If you are in the Myrtle Beach area check out this store over the seasonal pop up Halloween stores. Found a great costume and some makeup needed for our costume. They also had some really good Halloween decorations.

Imaginations is an awesome store you can get either Halloween costumes or Dance costumes and clothes. They have a friendly staff that are knowledgable about the items they carry. Even when it is crowded the lines move quickly. I have purchased costumes from there for the past 10 years. Each year I am impressed with the level of service we receive while shopping there.
I was 5 dollars short to afford my Halloween costume but a nice man at the shop let me get it for 30$ when it was 37$. Great shop and amazing staff! 5/5
This place was great, I went for point shoes, and they got me an appointment over the phone and saw me the same day. The woman who help me with my shoes (after almost ten years of not dancing) was educated and more than helpful in getting me the right fit and size that I needed. They had all the accessories you need to buy point shoes and the costume section of the store was huge.The only down side was they had no cotton leotards. All lyrics or spandex. Which seemed very gymnastics oriented? But I danced classical French and Russian so I am not used to the purple and neon colored stretch material, that might just be me.Over all they were customer service oriented and it was a pleasant experience.
Came here a couple of weeks ago. Was amazed at how much the store had compared to others and there was never any year-round stores like this where Im from (Louisiana). I was VERY impressed and this store will be my go-to. I will become a regular face there whenever I have money. Hopefully, next time, I wont have as much anxiety and I can actually buy the feminine things I was looking at and hope nobody judges me. I was anxious enough buying wigs but then again, I didnt take my pills that day. Yes, Im a femboy and yes, the store was perfect for my tastes.

The store had a ton of costumes but very little in decor/props. Not what I was hoping for. The young girl that came to show me the props wouldnt turn them on so I could see how they looked while in operation. She seemed less than friendly. When I asked if I could see the $499 prop working and after she said no, she then proceeded to say So, do you want to buy it? Might give it one more chance but not likely

We always love stopping in to Imaginations. We come to SC at least twice a year for vacation. We always find something new for haunt season. Great prices and selection.

I cannot speak highly enough about our visit to imaginations!!! Not only did they greet us right off the bat, but were so quick to help us find exactly what we needed and make sure we were happy with it! After grabbing the things we needed for my daughters dance class, we browsed for costumes which seemed to be never ending! My son was a little sad as we put something back and the lady working didnt hesitate to find something to make him smile by plugging in and letting him work ALL of their animatronic characters and was beyond the best person possible! We always pass by here but have never gotten to venture in, and we will make sure to come in for any cosplay or dance item we need! If you need costumes for this year, they are 100% the sweetest staff! Thank you so much for making my kids day!

Came in for some dance shoes. The staff was able to help us quickly and we got exactly what we needed.
I called and asked about getting makeup.The girl told me that they had cosmeticsConsultant that could help me.I went there today told the lady I wanted to see makeup and needed to see the cosmetologist. They looked at me as if was from Mars. A young girl came to help me, she matched me with the foundation and then placed other thingsOn the counter that I had no clue what it was, she then said this looks white but it will not be. Not telling me what went where or anything else. I left with nothing just like the help I got nothing.When I returned home I double check their web site to make sure I read it right saying they had a cosmetologist and sure enough it said but they need to take that off their website.

I ran in here very quickly and Instantly put it on my list to go back. This place is huge. They have a ton on dance wear and shoes not to mention costumes and odds and ends regardless of time if year. They also had a sale section which would be great to get the kids some dress up toys and costumes. Cant wait to go back. Will update number of stars after Im able to have a longer visit.

Talk about costumes! There must have been well over 5,000 costumes here. We easily spent an hour and a half in this place looking at all the choices. The staff was outstanding. Finally got my costume picked out and was very satisfied.
Not very helpful. And they tried to sell me left over damaged goods. I went for Halloween for some animated decorations for the house and they were very limited on what they had. The animated clowns were missing the lights in the eye and they tried to get me to buy them at full price telling me they were sent that way from the manifacture. How ever the one clown that was left with both eyes, the clerck had dropped it when she took it from its display by dropping it. I guess she thought i wouldnt notice. I left and went to spirit instead.
Imaginations C&D has a fantastic selection of costumes, make-up, and accessories for Halloween and theater. I had ordered a mustache from another source on the internet but received the wrong color. Imaginations had exactly what I wanted and at a better price. I also get great tips on using spirit gum and make-up from their expert staff member.

This costume store has it all! I would highly recommend it to all my friends. I went in earlier today to purchase some costumes for our Easter play. I couldnt believe the size or the endless selection of costumes. The staff was very friendly and a young gentleman kindly help me find everything we needed. He and another girl even made some great suggestions to help with the play. I cant remember the last time Ive had such attentive customer service in a retail store. I ordered 2 costumes with 2 day shipping. They didnt send me a confirmation after charging my credit card. 2 days later I called and they said they would have my costumes overnight shipped to me for my trouble. The next day they sent me an email stating they were out of stock. The owner whom I spoke with said my costumes were right in front of him ready to go out then said they were out of stock a day later. Ridiculous.

Pleasantly surprised to find a fifties costume Pink Ladies like jacket for a Doo Wop dance. Picked up a poodle scarf, pink rhinestone glasses and stylish earrings. Paired with my own pink headband, black pants, Cami and black shoes completed the outfit. Wonderful sales attendant took the outfits to a dressing room for try on. Bonus sale, buy one get another accessory 1/2 price. Total cost around $46. Quality costume can be worn again.

This is a really amazing place. Very tastefully incorporated a place where you can get you 10 year old daughters dance outfit, teens Halloween costume or your getup to fulfill your fantasy in the bedroom. Bravo to these folks for having it all under all one roof, but doesnt make it trashy.
The manager on duty was receptive and respectful, but the associates are rude (multiple occasions). The dance/tap shoes this store sells are very poorly quality. The soles completely separated from my daughters shoes after less than two hours of use. We were told to glue them back together or wait four weeks to have them replaced by the manufacturer.
Good selection of costumes, but a little on the pricey side. The no return policy is a little annoying, we changed our mind on a hat, after it had been rang into the register, but before payment was accepted, and it took about 20 minutes for them to figure out how to take the hat off. In the end they gave us a discount, which was fine, but again it took 20 minutes just to get to that point. The staff was nice and courteous. Also a great selection of Halloween props, all sorts of motorized and mechanized things to scare the kids with.
Went a couple of years back, was looking for a wig for a work meeting that had an 80s theme. Was pretty much treated like a thief and I had my family with me and naturally little kids like to grab the masks and try theme on. I understand why they dont encourage it if you arent going to buy, however the way it was stated to us was not courteous at all. I work in retail management and I know how you are supposed to make your customers feel and as soon as we walked in we were treated badly and they even made someone keep an eye on us while we were trying to shop, I havent been back since and wont be back. Ill stick with Spirit Halloween from now on.
This costume and dance store has everything. Its huge! My family shops here for everything! I love their leotard and dance selection! And they have thousands of costumes, masks, hats and wigs for Halloween or cosplay. The staff is always so helpful and remembers us by name. My favorite store !!
Visited here to find my 36 yr old daughter with disabilities some kitty ears...the owner was so kind, realizing we were relatively new to the area, she proceeded to tell me of upcoming events in the area we might want to attend. Appreciate her service, which was totally huge, over and above selling us her ware.
