Greg was great. Fixed our van quickly and at a fair price (nicely less than the corporate shops in town) so we could get on the road back to Chicago. If I ever need work done in Myrtle Beach, Affordable Garage gets my business. Thanks guys!

Doesnt really matter about the car wax or the carburetor cleaning cuz we dont do that anymore this place is just a very poor repair shop to go to my best advice to you is go to CG next door way more quality and way better mechanics keep in mind Greg Marlow is the mechanic there what he knows nothing and he may have one there that may know something go to CNG theres like eight texs there do yourself a favor people.. if youre in town go to CNG next door dont waste your time in this roach infested repair shop your car will leave with roaches trust me the shop is infested with them good luck if you have to go there

We were in town from Ohio. The alternator went bad on our vehicle. I called them and got the vehicle in right away. It was repaired and back on the road within 40 minutes. Great people. I would highly recommend them.

The owner Graig is not a nice human being. He over charges for parts tell everyone that they need breaks. They sell tires that already have holes in them. The mechanic David is a really nice guy know what he’s doing. Graig should take a learning lesson from him. Affordable garage is for cars/trucks it’s not a storage unit. I would never bring my car there again.

Very shady. Owners talks a good game to condition and lure you in. I won’t get into details, but to the point, they will rig your vehicle and claim they repaired it. By the time you become aware, it’s too late to prove anything. I was becoming a loyal customer until two incidents and they showed no care at all. Beware. Better yet, go somewhere else.

In Myrtle Beach on vacation upon arrival we noticed brake dust from one of the rear wheels. I called a few shops for pricing, but Affordable was most reasonable with very good ceramic brake pads. Were very honest and straightforward about needing one rotor as it was scored, but only charged for the part, car was done in less than an hour and started the work right away. Nicely run family business who did a great job, fair pricing, and friendly attentive staff. Thanks again Greg and Patty, I highly recommend this shop.

Had the engine light come on today while driving to work. Drove it over the Advanced Auto where they ran a quick diagnostic on it and suggested driving it over here to Affordable Garage. So glad I drove to Advanced Auto and got the recommendation because I didnt have a mechanic down here yet. These guys took us right in when we got there, diagnosed it within 20 minutes and had it fixed and ready to drive away in under an hour. Good, honest work and affordable to boot. They were super friendly and very professional. Will be using them from now on! Highly recommend. My lucky day.

Took my 98 infinity qx4 in had no start no crank issue so its either starter, safety neutral switch or ignition switch. 40 to diagnosed. It was starter and neutral safety switch. 80 for the neutral safety switch and 150 for the starter. Which is about the price you pay at auto zone or online. And 100 for each of the labor. They fixed it with no appointment in about 4 hour. Drop off at 10 am done by 2 I went there at 3. Payed the 540 and then was told that my transmission needed to be fixes also and that would be an extremely 200 and my car doesnt go in drive. So I tell to fix it. Turns out it was pin that broke and they replacement the gasket and fluid and got to work pin is still broken but it runs now tool them 20 min total cost 740 for starter neutral safety switch and transmission gasket and being able to put the pin in. Great service they were fast and just as reasonable priced as anyone probably cheaper they took me with no appointment. So I am happy with them.

Greg (owner) was very friendly and assured me he would get me taken care of first thing Monday morning (this was Sunday, they were closed). I took the vehicle in at 8 on Monday. Diagnostics, parts delivered, repaired, and I was driving away at 9. This was a lifesaver as we were on vacation.I would highly recommend Affordable Garage.

Very poor Service i advise anyone not to take their car there. Affordable Garages should not be their name because the prices are ridiculous. The first time i took my vehicle there, they installed a brand new power steering pump one that i purchased from Auto zone. My car is still making a bad whining noise. There excuse was keep driving and turning the wheel until the air bubbles come out. Well isnt that their job. Then they gave me a used battery that was very worthless. All together it was 190 dollars wasted. 100 for the installing and 90 for the old used battery(no warranties). Which they told me was new.These people rip you off and cheat you out of your money.

After visiting the Toyota dealership for a routine repair, I was told that I needed to purchase new breaks immediately. I hadn’t noticed any trouble with the breaks so I went to Affordable Garage to get a second opinion. I’m so glad I did! I learned that I didn’t need new breaks and that I would have wasted a lot of money when my brake pads were fine. I will be using Affordable Garage for all of my auto repairs because I like knowing I’m working with a shop that’s not just out to take my money.

These people should not be working on peoples cars. TAKE YOUR CAR TO A QUALIFIED AUTO TECH. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY. YOU WILL BE UNSATISFIED WITH THE WORK PERFORMED BY THESE BACKYARD MECHANICS. If you want extra expense, and a poor job, take it to your uncle or someone in your family that can perform the caliper of work performed at affordable garage.

Stopped in for tires and after explaining that because of health issues and a recent injury my finances were in very bad shape they quoted me a price of $360.00 for TWO tires! Said I couldnt afford that and their only other offer was used tires. Went home and called Sears. Got 2 tires - mounted, balanced, the works - for $177!

Plz dont go here everI have 97 Ford Ranger 4-Cylender & 2 weeks ago the truck wouldnt stay idle without giving it gass & then it just wouldnt start at all.So we go to OReilly Auto parts to get a relay switch thinking that was the issue,While buying it they tell us,If you end up needing a tow & work done make sure you call AFFORDABLE GARAGE they are the best So it ended up not being the relay switch so we needed a tow,So we take the word of OReilly AUTO & we called AFFORDABLE. They come get the truck & take it to their shop & twll us We will look over everything & call you tomorrow So 3 days go by & they say We think its a bad fuel pump wire then we get another call saying Its the actual fuel pump & you need a new one So we agree & say go ahead & do it. So another 3days go by & we get a call from the owner saying Your good to go its running and all back working,Come pick it up So we take a uber down to his shop & we walk in & we pay the $450 (Which we Shouldnt have stone before seeing the truck) To we swipe the card & he couldnt even find our keys its such a mess & he find A RANGER KEY & tosses it to me & says Go see if this is the one So my dad stays in the office & I go out to check the key & it was the key,But I put the key in & try to at art it & it wont even start at all (It wont turn over) So I come in & tell my dad & the owner & the owner says Ah its just the battery from tying to start it so many times,You just need a jump So he gets the NIMROD of a mechanic who jump starts the truck & it starts but it will not stay running at all & its started over & over again & the AME result . Now we got the owner out there with us & the idiot mechanic but they owner doesnt lift a finger he lower a the tailgate on a different truck & sits down to watch this guy try & try. New every time this guys gets the truck to start since it wont stay running without revving the engine he is actually putting the pedal all the way to the floor & keeping it there for as long as 10seconds & it looks as if he will blow the engine but the owner just keeps watching until my dad tell the guy Stop flooring my damn truck Now remember we just paid $450 because the owner called & said Its all fixed come get it So that shows that he knows nothing going on in his shop because he isnt doing any work. So he now tells us We will find out whats wrong with it but the good thing is atleast its starting now WHAT??? You told us it was all fixed & ready to pick up so we paid $25 on uber to come here & now we gotta pay $25 to get home (WITHOUT THE TRUCK YOU SAID WAS FIXED) So we are out $50 for something you could have told us over the phone if you actually looked at the truck yourself. So its a total of $500 now paid for something broken. So another 4 days goes by & he calls and says OK it was the computer that was blown & it needed a we one,So we tell him Give us 1hr to think about if we want to throw more money in this truck & before we finish the sentence he cuts us off & says Oh we already went ahead & put the new computer in & we had to bring in a special guy who specializes in that So he gets the part & call in some special guy from wherever to do this without even contacting us to get our approval to do it,And he tells us Your truck is now all running & drivable but you have a really bad leak from your water pump/radiator(Which we had no leak when we had to towed their except for a hose that we didnt replace yet). So we flat out twll him Do not touch the truck anymore just leave it alone since its running & we will be by in a few days when we get paid to pick up the truck So he then tells us that the computer he put in is gonna be $250.So we are now in $750. So yesterday(7-12-19) We go to his shop to get the truck & we pop the hood & the radiator cap is gone & a rag is stuffed in the radiator & the fusebox left open. Then this guys says after thinking about it we think it just needed a new computer from the beginning. So instead of $750 I could have spent just $250 & he smiled when he said it.

Greg the owner and his son are awesome people and the work they do are no different. I would definitely recommend them and will be telling anyone I know to come and visit them on anything to do with their vehicle. It was a lifesaver for me and my wife.

Went by there to have him look at my tire he said he charges $20 just to look at the tire and plug it. Plugging a tire normally cost $5-$8

If I could give a negative star rating I would. Had them replace a rear end on a truck, which was overpriced to begin with. We went ahead and did it, though, as they were recommended to us as a reputable business. We bought the rear end, and had it delivered there to be put in. As soon as we drove the truck off the parking lot, we noticed an obvious and horrible vibration that was not there before. After calling them to ask what was going on they finally told us, oh yeah, the rear end had been in an accident and we had to Jerry rig (their term) it just to make it work. There is no question that we should have been called and told what was going on so we could make the decision as to whether or not we still wanted it put on our vehicle. They refused to even investigate the cause of the vibration claiming its because you have knobby tires. No. If that were the case, we would have noticed the INTENSE vibration when we got the tires, 8 months before. Two weeks after having the rear end replaced and our 60,000 mile tires are a hairs breath from being completely bald. When we called them about THIS issue they were extremely rude and told us it was our problem because we provided the rear end. That would be a fair statement had we been notified and made the decision ourselves to put a defective part on our vehicle. But thats not the case. They simply did not care about us, our safety or our vehicle. What they did care about was slapping a part on as quickly as possible and getting paid for work they half a$$ did. When a part that we had never seen is brought to them and they see that its not in an acceptable shape to be safely used, the proper thing to do would be to call the customer and have them make the decision, rather than doing it anyway and hoping we wouldnt notice that they messed up. Not to mention they spoiled gear oi all over the place, making a huge mess. They are rude lying con artists who dont deserve to be in business.

Fat guy claimed to do inspection and told us the problem and assured a certain part would solve all the problems...it didnt..still tried to charge us for what they already knew without the inspection.owner very nasty. Employees wont have your back knowing owner is wrong even the police knew he was wrong and even told owner and employees he was wrong. I bought my car from MBChevy but only Affordable Garage works on my car. They are the only ones I trust with my car. From motor to tires they are the only ones I trust. They are reliable, trust worthy, reasonable, knowledgeable, and very honest! They will not do work on your car that isnt needed if they have been approved to do diagnostics. Now if you choose to buy your own parts and tell them thats what you want done that they will do it. Or if you have diagnostics done elsewhere and say thats what you want then thats what they do. Now if thats not what was wrong with it then it was your choice and your responsability for it not being the issue. They only charge $40 diagnostics to look at your car and see what is wrong with it. If you chose to do your own diagnostics or had somebody else do diagnostics then it still falls on you because again that was your choice. That doesnt mean that was the issue. Dont be a dumb butt and diagnose your car. Thats what professionals are for. You dont go to a doctors office and expect them to diagnose you for free so dont expect a car doctor to be able to do it for free either. They are spending time (time is money as with any profession) to check your car out and see whats wrong with it. Then they go from there. They get you a quote, go over the details of your repair, ask if theres any questions, and get permission to do the work beforehand. I love their system and their quality of work. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a car doctor!!! they are by far unbeatable!!!

They left my car unlocked and one of the employees broke in my car. And the owner is so racist. They talk to like your nothing. Please don’t take your cars to them . This is the type of people that has USA so diverse. Very rude and unprofessional

I took my 96 nissan pathfinder there last week. My vehicle would die when I tried to accelerate and then I had a hard time restarting. At first they told me I had a bad distributor, so they pulled it and put a new one in, when they went to test drive it they found very obviously that wasnt the problem. 4 hrs. later they tell me it was the mass air sensor, which I replaced 2 yrs. earlier for $80.00 TOTAL. In the 4 years Ive owned this car I have spent $180.00 on it other than gas, it ran like a top, smooth as glass, even with the issue I was having when it did restart it still ran perfectly. After they got done with it now it runs like crap and they charged me over $400.00 to do the same thing I did for $80.00, plus they put the old distributor back in and told me they did things they never touched.I would take it back if I thought they were honorable and would restore my car to the way it ran before they got ahold of it but all I got when I was there was double talk and excuses. I had very high hopes for this garage and they failed miserably. By the way Im a 31 year resident of Myrtle beach, not some rube from up north who falls for the aw shucks crap the owner throws out there.Has anyone else noticed the good reviews are from family and friends?]
