I brought my car to this location for some minor body work. Ill admit I can be very fussy and picky. These folks did a wonderful job at remediating the damage. The car looks great and they were very professional throughout the entire process. Its never a good day when you have to take your car to the body shop but if I have to do it again Ill definitely consider this particular shop.

About a year ago I hit a deer causing about $8,000 damage to the front of my Avalon. I searched to find the best auto collision shop in the area. Without question, Caliber Collision, was/is recognized as one of the best in Myrtle Beach. They did my repairs in a timely, quality, and consumer friendly fashion. Absolute top quality work!! They coordinated all activities with my insurance company and with the Toyota dealership where I purchased my car. No short cuts, no excuses, and no delays using only certified parts. Recently, (about a year after the repairs) I did have a problem. The chromed front grill finish rippled, which could not be repaired. The part had to be replaced and the estimated cost was $1,200. This was not due to poor Caliber performed work, but was a defective Toyota part. My insurance would not cover it and my extended warranty did not cover it. However, CURTIS REYNOLDS, the Service Advisor at Caliber, went to bat to resolve my problem. Caliber Collision stepped up and fixed my car at no cost. They, without question honored their work! The Caliber Collision Center is managed by JUSTIN GRIFFIN. They have an excellent friendly staff, from JULIE HARRIS, to all the highly skilled technicians who completed the work. You cannot go wrong with Caliber Collision. I highly recommend them.

Curtis was extremely knowledgeable and I felt confident in his assessment and plan to repair my vehicle. He is personable and it was a seamless process. He took an otherwise frustrating situation and made it pleasant! Also, please shout out “Smokey Joe” for his paintless repair to the dent on my car. I did not want to have to paint the area affected because I was concerned the difference with the 13 year old paint would be noticeable. I had a accident with my Hyundai Santa Fe and my insurance company sent my car to Fender Mender/Caliber and from the moment we spoke to Dan SR to the day the car was rolled out fixed and it was sent out cleaner then I brought it to them which was a extra special touch I have nothing bad to say about this repair shop the staff from the ladies who answer the phones to being able to get updated phone calls on the car work this shop does everything for the customer and assures the customer is happy. We have even contacted them after the repair for a different car and they remember the customer and truly do make you feel like your a customer for life there. I can not find any fault with them and will recommend and bring any of my crash/bangs/booms to them. A+++ Thank you for making something stressful very easy and very quick.

Ok. I never write reviews but here it is. Butch and I picked up our truck from Caliber a bit before Thanksgiving. Everything worked out just fine. The work was done on time and people were very kind and professional. And... Surprise! When we picked it up, it was also so clean, body, bed, interiors, that Butch didnt recognize it. We took our car in for repair to Caliber Collision 4920 Hwy 17 Bypass, Myrtle Beach, SC. We were told it would be ready in two weeks. It actually took three weeks and I had to call on several occasions just to get updates about the car. It may have taken longer if I was not calling frequently to ask how much longer this repair would take. I was told they were waiting on a fuse box to be shipped!!! Seriously??? This was definitely poor planning on their part. The front driver fender, front bumper and one headlight needed to be replaced. This should have been a simple fix and definitely not taken three weeks!!! I asked when i initially dropped off the car....”How much would it cost to detail the car once you finish the repair?” I was told they do that as a courtesy. I was told they would buff the entire car and clean and detail it. I picked up the car today and upon inspection I realized that no detailing at all was done to the car. Since it was raining, they parked it outside and assumed I wouldn’t notice. The first thing I did was run my finger across the rim and my hand was black from the break pad dust. There was a ton of brake pad dust on the rims which proved the tires haven’t been washed or seen the first bit of soap! The windows were not cleaned and the vacuum was mediocre at best. I think all that was actually done was a partial vacuum. There was still debris in the floorboards. The fender that was repaired was not lined up properly and the gap between the fender and drivers door was slightly out of alignment and very obvious. I opened the hood and there was white paint over spray all over the black engine parts and covers under the hood. They never even cleaned the buffing waxes and dirt around the edge of the hood on the underside / engine side of the hood. I asked the manager of my repair to come outside and I showed him the over spray on all the black plastic parts. He said, “we didn’t do that.” Really???? I asked him how he thought that white paint got inside the engine compartment! When you wet sand a car, you have water droplets with paint mixed in it. These little water droplets, dime sized, were all over several parts as well. The manager rubbed one with his finger and said it comes off. Yes it does and it should have been cleaned before I picked it up. However, the fine mist white speckled paint over spray all over MOST of the black plastic parts does not rub off with your finger. This was from not taping out and covering the engine compartment properly before painting. Basically I was given many false promises from the very beginning and the work was about as good as their word!!! I am fairly certain that I will never bring my car back to this location ever again. I will not recommend this location to any of my friends or family. I was very dissatisfied, to say the least, with the workmanship and condition the vehicle was left in after the repair! I wouldn’t put a lot of trust in the things you are told by the managers when you drop off the car. The only credit I will give this location was the very nice receptionist lady at the front desk. She was always very polite. Good luck to anyone who chooses this location for their car repair work, I hope your experience was much better than mine!

Highly recommend Caliber Collision. We use our car for our business and needed it back quickly. They kept to their estimate of 5 days, when they said it really should have been a 9 day job. We received regular updates on the progress. Plus, the car was returned washed, vacuumed, and even window cleaned!

Justin is the biggest lire ever, he actually did more damage to my car than when it was taken in after my accident!!!!! He lost my keys for 2 weeks and then attempted to break into my car after he ripped my door handle off !!!! He then, went to replace my bumper and somehow broke off the whole side railing off also. When I picked it up, I was just happy to have it back, I didnt really notice anything and because he rigged it all.back together, I didnt notice. But luckily, when I got home, I left something in my car and went to get it, thats when the door handle came off, so I looked around my car and saw the railing was broken also. I called and he claimed I did that and he had nothing to do with it, even though, he told me prior, he had lost my keys. Seriously, how could I even rip the handle off, much less the bottom railing. So, after a few days of driving it, I noticed it was shaking really bad at 45 miles an hour took it back and honestly, after all the stories he told me, I cant remember what he said. So finally I asked him if he checked my frame, he said yes, and went on to say, I didnt take car of my brand new car, lol, I have every service record from Nissan, considering Im the only owner and bought it brand new. Well, I went and had it appraised to resale it and sure enough, the frame is bent. Do NOT EVER TRUST THIS LOWLIFE, he will be seeing me in court, again.

When he initially checked my car he pointed out many other scratches to me that I was previously unaware of. Not only did he take care of the scratch I came in for, but he took care of all the others as well! My car looks even better now than it did before my trip!
