Meyer music is a great place to get your childs instrument. Great pay plans, and if the kid changes their minds you are not obligated to pay it off. Just return the undamaged instrument. They also do repairs and are available to help in any way.

They dominate the Music Rental business in this area, but I cant be mad at them for that. They are very helpful, very nice and have always been very accommodating. They employ people that play instruments and are familiar with music, and that is a great thing, especially if a parent with no musical knowledge need help...like me! Weve frequented the store for small items as well as rentals. My daughter has advanced to the point of no longer needing many of the small items they sell there...she has her reeds made, and we purchased a more advanced instrument for her. But my son will be benefitting from their offering and their service.

They were really helpful when i asked questions. They really seemed to actually care. I also got lessons from one of there tutors. He did a great job teaching me what i know now.

The staff checked cleaned and repaired my kids flute. They gave us a loaner so she wouldnt miss out on practice or a concert. I know nothing about flutes so they gave me some knowledge without talking down to me. I truly appreciate their help! The staff has been involved in the music world for so long I swear there is nothing they dont know. Tons of cool music related trinkets for gifts as well.

Everyone is always very polite and friendly and very accomodating. They allowed me to use one of their piano rooms to read through some music that I wanted to try to make sure Id like it. On one occasion, I purchased a book that was missing several pages, and they offered me 3 options to fix the problem. I was also able to purchase a set of bells there at a good price.Ive been very happy with them so far.

I am very impressed with the employees that came to my childs school. When we got to the table to get his trumpet there werent any left (but it was a very long line, about 30 children in front of us). We ordered it with a estimated wait of 5 business days. I was very excited when they called us back 2 days later to tell us it was in. I hope when choosing a music store you consider Meyer Music because they seem to really take pride in helping children get into an instrument that fits your child and they seem to be very knowledgeable, they are very friendly and helpful. My son plays the Alto Saxophone and we rent it from Meyer Music. We have had to have his saxophone repaired twice over the past year and the cost was covered through our rental agreement. His instrument was repaired, cleaned, and ready for pick up with in a couple of days. Weve also had to special order a music book and received a call two days later letting us know it was in! Additionally; we choose to rent from Meyer Music because the rental cost applies towards purchase (meaning we own the instrument once the rent payment equals the purchase price), we can exchange his instrument if he decides hed like to play something else and our previous payments will go towards the cost of that instrument, it can be return it at anytime while renting, there are no finance charges, and a cash discount for early payoff.

The service here is amazing! Everyone is extremely helpful, the few times I’ve had a problem they worked hard to fix the problem. I come here for any and all musical problems or questions.

For lack of a better option ... I suppose this is probably the best place in muskegon county to buy guitar strings ... not that I wouldnt go anywhere else first ... but if youre in muskegon, there isnt much in the way of choices ... youll either get strings here or the little hole on whitehall road that prolly hasnt the strings you want ... the service here is stuffy ... stuck on itself ... holier than thou ... and kinda rude. I think Id shop at a crack house to buy strings first ... if only I could find one that sold strings.

The staff was very friendly. Im new to the area and my expectations were a little to high. I needed strings and pics... i dont use oddball stuff that you expect to have to order off the internet I simply needed some heavy top skinny bottom strings and some medium nylon pics they have either they have super Slinkys and original Slinkys was really other than to be a Darios the only option four strings they had a Brandon pic I think for different sizes and that was about the only option for that they also dont have a used equipment setup which I was a little disappointed so as a working guitarist they pretty much couldnt help me but it look like they had a very adequate amount of sheet music and they seem to be very knowledgeable and very stocked and geared more towards catering to an orchestra all in all I settled for a pack of their branded pics that were claimed to be nylon but they dont feel like the dunlops but they actually feel pretty good

Customer service was prompt and polite. However, whoever inspected my flute tried to take me for a ride. He said it needed to be completely repadded, which would cost more than the instrument was worth and offered two months free rental if I traded it in–a $54 evaluation. He also said the lip plate was worn and could be a hazard to someone with a nickel allergy. I took the same gemeinhardt flute to a music store on the east side of the state three days later. The owner marveled over the older instrument and how well that model is made and said it is WELL worth repadding it IF it needed it. She also said the lip plate was fine. Shame on you Meyer Music. I feel you only wanted to scam me out of my instrument so you could make a buck off of it for rental or resale.
