Menards today was a good day 😀. Some things have been scarce but are coming back onto the shelf’s. Looks like I won’t have to take out a second on the mortgage to buy lumber for some projects I’ve been holding off on. Staff is usually friendly and courteous and mostly knowledgeable.

You get what you pay for - that also goes for the prices. The products are decently priced, but I feel like where they fall short more times than not is customer service. I wanted to do a custom sized closet bifold door - with dimensions in hand - but the door representative felt it was more important to set a lock set than help a customer. That’s too bad. I don’t know why I expect a better experience each time I try there.

Excellent. Loved it. Was with Steven Grimard had to exchange or buy paint for his bedroom. Plus I had to charge my tablet because the battery was dead completely. They were nice to let me charge.

Prefer Menards to Home Depot or Lowes any day. Friendly staff, easy to navigate where youre going and find what you need. Great prices, tons of deals and sales all the time. Wether you just need a hammer or enough materials to build a whole house, Menards is where you go.

I usually like Menards, but today it was so nice. My husband and I had to ask 3 different people before we found what we needed. The first person had no idea what we were talking about. After we finally found what we needed, the shelf price was different from what it rang up and was told by a manager it was because it was another pipe not the one we got. Well when we went out in the yard to get the pipe it was the pipe we wanted, so I took a picture of the tag and went to the service desk. Needless to say, They need to up date there shelf prices because the tag was expired. I did get my refund and the service desk person was nice.

Pushed a cart up the register with $700 worth of merchandise. The manager who followed me through the store said I couldn’t purchase it without a mask on. Left the cart and spent the money at Lowe’s happily!!

Go to the lumber counter for lumber.. Guy hands slip over doesnt say what to do from there.Get to checkout and Jeri was not helpful either.. Rings order up doesnt say where to go or how we get our lumber.Get to back gate different guy.. Your good(excuse me but where do I go for this?).. follow the signs he said.The next guy excuse me .. sir.. hey guy... Nothing walk into the building completely blowing us off..Finally find the door we need and agian no one to be found.. Guess its self service.. We get our lumber finally loaded with no help no direction nothing.On that note while your hiring and looking for help please pay attention to their manners, communication skills and customer service.Thank You I hope your is better than mine now!

Customer service isnt the greatest, ask for help you get it but no sense of urgency to help a customer struggling. Decent selection average quality. Little bit of everything. Rebates on just about everything. Which actually work well and came quick, just kinda a pain to mail out.

Extremely rude cashier when having health issues and unable to wear a mask over my mouth and nose due to restricted breathing it is bad practice for Menards employees to tell customers to put their mask on correctly! If a customer has their mask on incorrectly It could be for a medical reason and it’s not the customers responsibility to have to explain that to an employee that works for you please educate your employees. A lawsuit is coming soon!

Menards has a great selection if things you will need for any home improvement. They have friendly staff. Sometimes the inventory is off, way off. I was looking for an item. The inventory on the website and in their computer showed they had 12, they didn’t have any on the shelf. They didn’t bother to look other places, for it or to see if they had back stock. But at this point, it wasn’t that big of a deal. But beware of the issues that may arise from their inventory being off.

Be careful... If you know what you need and they have it, you will probably get a good price. But, they will not offer much help otherwise. If youre lucky, they will blame mistakes on suppliers, which are often just another branch of the same company. If youre not lucky, they blame mistakes on you.Despite all of this, I go back day after day. Last year, I spent more there than all other stores, including groceries, so you would think they would value me as a customer. Nope.We recently ordered some expensive countertops that needed to be custom made. They acted like they knew more about what was correct than I did, even though I have lots of experience, they never installed any of this kind, and they have never been in my house. After they agree to do them my way, they arrive six or seven weeks later. Turns out that all my measurements were spot-on, but all four slabs were different thicknesses and one had a chipped corner.Initially, they said that they could replace the damaged piece, no problem. The next day they call and say they cant guarantee it will fit against the one I am not returning and suggest using a chip fix kit on brand new countertops.I show them a photo of how poorly the pieces they already sold me fit together, and they say that it probably will not be that bad the second time around, but there are no guarantees. They say I will get the replacement in about two weeks because re-makes are a priority. The next day, I get an email saying my estimated ship date is five or six weeks out.Like I said, you better know what you are doing, because they have no idea. They cant solve problems because they lack the necessary knowledge, yet they cant understand why I am not happy.

Sadly this is another store that will follow you around and hunt you down to get you to put a mask on. Rechel I believe her name was followed me out of the store continually asking if I wanted to speak to a manager because I told her that I had asthma (have been diagnosed since 5 ish). I did not I immediately turned to leave the store and ceased conversation with her. At that point she continued following me asking if I would like to speak to a manager and offering every reason she could come up with as to why I was not allowed on the store. I didn’t ask for an explanation and it was rather condescending. I’ve lived here all my life and grew up frequenting this proudly private business. It is a shame to see them bend the knee to the corporate scam that is Covid like everyone else.

Horrible customer service. Menards made a mistake and loaded me with the wrong product and all I asked for was for them to make it right by bringing me the correct product and picking up the wrong product since I don’t have a truck to transport it. They refused to help, telling me I had to bring the material back to get an exchange and they wouldn’t even give me a free truck rental to do the exchange.

If I could give them negative stars I would, they discriminated against my uncle and I by kicking us out for not having a mask after already being in there shopping for 30-45 minutes, had spoke to a few employees for help finding something and had been asked only by a couple of them about a mask; eventually when (Im assuming a manager) walked up and told us if we dont have a mask that we need to leave, we both attempted to explain that we have a medical condition and he kept saying its still a store policy, even after I tried to explain that they are discriminating against the Americans with Disabilities Act and none of them wanted to listen. So clearly there store policy is to discriminate against people with disabilities, we surely wont be giving them any further business

Great customer service and its brown bag days until 01/16/21. So whatever you can fit in a bag is 15% off. I personally like the store layout better than any other large box hardware store. Not a fan of their paint brands though.

Not good. My battery died and I googled jumper cables and found a pair on sale at Menards. I went in and found a similar item but it scanned at twice the price. I then was directed to the service desk and they asked if I wanted to use them often, of course I will. They told me the better set is in Big Rapids and dont do store transfers. They tried selling me a cheap set that wouldnt work. Great commitment to helping the customer

Poor customer service. Ask someone to get something off of the 10ft. high shelf and get an eye roll. All because you might be interupting them from making sure everyone has their non medical mask on or covering their nose. I witnessed four store employees being rude to an older woman who was stating she had a medical issue and couldnt breath and needed to catch her breath, she was told to go outside to do so. I guess you are making your sales goals and dont care if you lose customers by treating them all poorly. No wonder you are always hiring.ALSO...this is the same store that had employees verbally making fun of my son in law for wearing a mask when covid started. When he called to speak to a manager they could have cared less.

Just had the worst experience I have ever had at this store. I had to wait in the checkout 3 times, first a piece of lumber was missing a bear code, second try found out the rest of my materials werent set aside and someone walked out with them, finally able to check out the 3rd time after getting my materials again. Im a pro and usually dont have too many issues but after this visit, Im going to take my business elsewhere.

Very Poor customer service. Ordered appliances in July, was told they would take around 1 month to be delivered to our home. I paid a $100 delivery fee for this. Store had zero communication, did not update their digital tracking information, etc. Had to call on 3 different occasions to find out our estimated delivery times. Was told it was delayed until the end of September. Then called in October and was told it may be 10/08 or even November before our last appliance arrived for Delivery. We are paying someone to install these items so we asked if we could have 3/4 items that had already arrived delivered ASAP so that we can at least use our kitchen. They said we can but that wed have to pay another $100 to have the 4th appliance delivered. Spoke to the store manager who stated that they couldnt waive the second delivery fee and kept saying I cant make the appliance appear magically. I wasnt asking for it to appear magically. I understand delays, we are just asking that they do their best to make the situation right and not charge us a second delivery fee since we are now almost 4 months from when we ordered these appliances and STILL have not gotten them. I would pay the extra money to order appliances from a different store in the future, the small savings is not worth the inconvenience and poor customer service. Especially after you have to pay extra fees later on.Update: two of the three applicances I received came damaged and I will have to wait an additional month at least for replacements.

I always enjoy shopping at Menards tonight the cashier is friendly with the smile. Although I would say its my fault just before Im exiting out I noticed that the batteries I pick up to buy was underneath my purse also one of the air freshener drop off under the child sit of the cart so of course I went back inside go line up to the check out and told the same cashier that check me out and told her that the batteries and the air freshener wasnt added to my my list that I already paid for. She was very grateful about it and glad that I went back inside and paid the item that it wasnt added to my list. Thank you!

I went to Menards on the 13th of June of 2021 I was going to buy a lot of plumbing stuff I asked for some help with it and the guy said they were told they could not help out the customers anymore to get the things they needed now I was planning on buying more things than just plumbing but all I wanted is help on with phone I figure I would have spent about 200 bucks in that score that day and when he told me he couldnt help me I walked to the front desk I told them what happened all they could say is sorry about that sorry about what for being an idiot so I turn around and I walked out

My wife & I went to Menards today to purchase lumber, paint and other stuff. When we got there, we were told by two different employees that we had to wear a mask. My wife felt like she was losing her freedom, so she left. After being told the second time I needed to wear a mask, I also left the store. First I was there to spend a good deal of money, Second, when did Menards become my mother? I am 59, I can make my own mind up if I want to wear a mask or not. I dont care if you want to wear one, I wont think any thing of it. But when a store tells you that you have to wear one, they lost a big sale, and it will be a long time before my family shops there again. Menards, we live in a free Country,

A nice security guard is posted just inside the door reminding people to wear masks if one isnt present. He informs them they can be purchased for $.94 at the service desk if they forgot their own. 100% compliance!! Thank you, Menards, for helping with everyones safety .

When I was in the Muskegon store today, the mask Czar the at the door tracked me down to make me put my mask over my nose. I had it on, but I cant breath well when its over my nose. Since When is it there job or place to inspect how you wear a mask. I get asking you to wear one, but I was. I felt like he was going to get physical and lay hands on me. You also would think they would not be so forceful with all the crazies out there. After a few choice words were exchanged and him making me leave, I told him they just lost a good customer. He said I Dont Care!! If that is what ownership and management put at front door, they dont care either! I will NOT be back. Further, I will not recommend them either. I was very insulted, offended by, and disappointed in this company and their employees.
