It would have been a five star but the delivery persons tracked very snowy and wet shoes onto my carpet. Didnt even bother to ask if it was okay, just assumed it was. Four of the stars are for customer interaction which was top notch and speed of setup. They were in and out in about a half hour. NOTE TO ART VAN: Purchase and make your delivery persons wear those cloth over the shoe/boot slips. You know? It would help to not piss off customers.
Love our furniture! Its Beautiful, sturdy and everything I had wanted. My sales lady was polite and fun to work with and went out of her way to make sure i was able to see what i wanted...The delivery guys were great too!! They came out in the middle of a snowstorm to deliver and set everything up.Our experience was great from beginning to end.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND RACHEL as your salesperson. Shes a great saleswoman. Not pushy, honest about the quality of furniture you are buying and will show you different options comparable to your likes. She has changed my mind about Art Van and bought a couple purchases since. Also recommended her to my parents they were pleased with her personality as well.
The sales man was very helpful, easy to work with, and not pushy. Delivery was timely and going well until after they left. I couldnt find the controller for the recliner chair. When I called the store I was put on hold for several minutes, but when the delivery supervisor come on the line he was very helpful. He called me back in a few minutes after trying to contact the delivery men, but they where not available. He was going to try and get someone to come back out in the morning, but he called back a short time later because he found a sales man who could stop by that evening on his way home. He was able to tip the chair up and found the controller tucked up under the seat. I was very grateful for that quick service, and Im very satisfied. The only thing that could have gone better is that while the delivery men tested the recliners on the new sofa, they didnt on the recliner chair and thats why they didnt unpack the controller for the chair.
Great experience. Bought a mattress from the worker Stacy, wonderful person. I didnt get told in was coming in a box though and would have to wait at least 24hours for it to beeath before i could sleep on it. It was a nice price and hope i sleep on it good too.
Peggy was awesome! She helped my mom find the perfect recliners. I would give her 10 stars if I could. The chairs are perfect! The only reason for the four stars is the fact that we were charged over $100 for local delivery. Other places have free delivery.
We came in looking for a new mattress and Dennis had us do the test with the computer. After he got our results he put us on several different ones until we found one that seemed to be good for us. I have had both hips replaced so I have some ongoing discomfort. He spent close to two hours with us until we found one that we felt comfortable on. He was not a pushy salesman which I appreciate.

Received a call from Art Van informing me that the product was in and ready for pickup. Warehouse employee assisted in helping me load the furniture into my vehicle. Opened the sealed furniture at home. Delivered as advertised.
It has been several years since we visited Art Van. We have avoided this store because of the high pressure sales approach - practically getting tackled at the door as we arrive in the past. Yesterdays experience was much different. We were able to browse without associates constantly trying to help. When we were ready to buy, we were treated very well.
Very helpful staff. LOVE the sofa, love seat and ottoman! Good price, leather feels luxurious. Also got a great deal ($17.00 each down from $69) on ceramic stools that I am using as end tables. Would definitely shop at Art Van again and recommend it to others
In all honesty, I was expecting to feel annoyed & hovered over, but that wasnt the case at all! Peggy, the sales lady, was very nice & honest and gave us time to look. We needed to wait until our house closed before buying. We went back today & everything we picked just two days ago was $500 cheaper. Great deal! We look forward to receiving our furniture!
I went in looking for a specific piece of furniture, one of those Ill know it when I see it situations. I was greeted when I walked in but then was given the freedom to just wander the store. When I found exactly what I was looking for they responded quickly, and discovered the piece was discontinued and the floor model was the last one available. They gave me a great price on it and I walked out a happy customer.

I walked into Art Van already knowing what I was going to buy, because I looked at the ads online and checked their website, first. I paid for one couch and I was able to do a payment plan with Art Van that was within my budget for the second couch, and I got some awesome furniture. They also have a bargain table that had some pretty cheap, but high quality, items for sale. I wasnt pressured to buy anything I didnt feel I needed. So glad they decided to allow folk to take home the furniture while still paying on it. The whole process was quick, too. They offer great plans to insure you get what works best for your pockets/wallet. Art Van has the best furniture in MI and at great prices. Nothing cheaply made, all of great quality. And theres always a deal/sale going on. Check them out!

Our Salesman, Randy Tenhove, was very knowledgeable before and after the beds were delivered when we had a question.Deliverymen were very careful, knowledgeable, pleasant and on time as scheduled.Office staff was also very helpful, pleasant and helped us contact our salesman when we called with questions.
Ordered one couch, got another. Sales man spoke with my wife to make the sale, amd then avoided her when I was time to complete the sale. Couch mechanism broke and had.to get a warranty replacement, took 4 months to get it. 3 months later its broken again. Its been used by responsible adults the entire time. Wouldnt use them as my first choice in the future. Profits over quality.

Went there looking for a new couch and recliner. The sales lady Tammy was very helpful and nice. She let us wander around without being under our feet like some salespeople are. She answered questions when I asked her. I ended up finding what I was looking for.
Fantastic!! We needed a new mattress and instead of selling us something we didnt need sales informed us ours was still under warranty (from an art van purchase 6 years ago) and set up a service call for us. We ended up with a new rocker/recliner and did upgrade our mattress anyway, (kids will get our warranty replacement). Dealing with Stacie and Sara always a pleasure and they make our visit more like seeing old friends than buying furniture. Thank you girls!!
I had the rudest sales associate ever. He had the nerve to tell me that his back was hurting. Acted like he did not understand English. Then yes superior came out and justified his behavior because he was State it to be ill. I was with the man that was in a wheel chair. I feel as if he treated us in an unfair manner. I did purchase something because the price was exceptional but I ended up driving all the way to Grand Rapids to day to purchase something else because of the service. So they lost over $1200 because they are sales associate back was hurting. And the reason I gave it the one star is because they had a beautiful lady at check out that was very very nice. Thank you, you earned them that star. Ordered a leather chair in store, they said they would call me when it was ready to pick up, They never called after 2 weeks of waiting, I called them. They informed me that the order was placed then cancelled. At this point, I was a little upset. I had them reorder the chair. Then asked if I could get a discount because of what went on. They said no. I said I guess my business isnt worth much. But I still wanted that chair... so I suggested free delivery and I would still buy the chair. They agreed and I got the chair with free delivery. Not the best experience but I do like the chair..... 2 Stars for Art Vans execution of the sale.... 5 stars for the comfort of the chair.
Absolutely great experience - we have purchased a new couch and a new bed - Art Van team came, took our old stuff out and put a new one in place by themselves. Very impressed by their professionalism and we will be buying more from this store. Highly recommended purchasing extended warranty - the previous futton was not high quality one and I was disappointed with my purchase. Called ArtVan after a year of having it (slept 15x max), the team was great, I picked up a high quality one instead and paid the difference. Love it

They are crooks! I paid for a living room set before the closing and they sold my furniture and won’t return my money. I don’t want that left over mess. I want my money back. There should be a class action law suit brought against them.

Lawerence was our sales rep and he was great with getting us the information we needed to decide on a new reclining sectional sofa. We went ahead and ordered it on Sunday and it was delivered on Wednesday of the same week! Even after purchasing the 6 year warranty, the price was less than half of anything comparable in the furniture stores we checked out in Holland.

She always told us if she were needing to attend to something else, but made sure we knew where to find her and that she would return soon. I really don’t care to leave reviews! But this sale went pretty well. We were disappointed that our sales person did not offer the deals that were to be offered. We had to call. We’re supposed to get a free tv and still haven’t gotten the email for it. It definitely could have better customer service.

Even though our experience had lots of challenges, every staff member we encountered was professional courteous and did their best to make sure we got the product we wanted for the best price. Normally not a fan of shopping at Art Van but we were trying to match a love seat to a couch that was bought a few years ago there so we gave them a try. I have to say the experience was very pleasant. Our salesperson was very helpful without the pressure you normally get. He did not hover over us the whole time. We were able to get the love seat and even bought an extra chair.
We were searching for a particular piece of furniture. We found the style but not the color. Our salesperson went the extra mile and asked his co-workers for suggestions. Our attention was directed to another piece of furniture with an option to get us the furniture we wanted and in the color we were looking for. After shopping at other places and wondering if wed find just what we were looking for, it was a relief to have it settled. Now, we are just waiting for our furniture to arrive!
This was my first experience in shopping at Art Van Furniture and I have to say it was a very good experience. We were greeted at the door by a friendly salesperson but then allowed to freely roam the store looking for what we wanted. With their large inventory we were able find what we wanted quickly. Our salesperson was immediately available for questions and she was gave us all the option for pricing and delivery. Since we live more than an hour from Muskegon delivery was a concern. We were given a delivery date and time that was convenient for us. Their delivery men called us when they were about 30 minutes away. The delivery guys were quick, careful and hauled our new heavy furniture up to our second floor without hesitation. Thank you Jason and Russell.All in all - a very satisfying purchase.

They stayed at just enough of a distance to make me not feel perched over but were right there whenever i had a question.Overall, my special order of furniture went very well. Heres hoping the quality matches the service (Ive unfortunately had problems with Art Van furniture before - and it was by Lazy Boy!) But Im trying you again in hopes youve improved your quality control by inspecting things well before delivering them! But Rachel and Adam, five stars!
The family and I went to look for dressers and a pantry. We Found two reasonably priced dressers for our teenagers but no pantry that suited us. Adam was a great help though. He went out of his way to look around the store, point out some options, and even looked to see what was available online. Very helpful and kind. When we went to pick up the dressers we found we could not fit both of them in our Flex as they were packaged in huge boxes. It took two trips from Grand Haven to Muskegon and back to get them both. We also bought apiece of artwork my fiance loves.

I bought four couches after comparing options locally. The process to purchase and both salesman (Randy and Lawrence) were excellent. The delivery went well and the communication was great. The only reason for four stars as opposed to five is that one couch didn’t have the feet with it in the packaging and now has to be sent to me. Overall I had a great experience.
I purchased a dining room table on 4/21/19 Table was delivered on time by very courteous delivery people. A couple weeks later noticed that there we’re gouges in the table and called the warranty people. They sent a service representative out and he took pictures, informed me that was the way the table was made. He gave me a reference number and informed me to give them a call the following Monday. Called them and after waiting on hold for approximately 15 minutes, I was informed that the service rep reported that there were No gouges and therefore the warranty packet I had purchased was no good. I asked the representative I was speaking what if I was just not happy with the table. I was informed that I could return it and pay a restocking fee other wise I had 7 days to return the table. I thank her for this information also informed her I would no longer be shopping at Art Van. What good is a warranty if the service representative they send out is not going to be honest. Thank you for the experience and I will be sure to check the return policy when I begin shopping at Ashley furniture. Thank you for the lesson.
Look for Jim Dennis at Muskegon store. He was so helpful with style, color, fabric, and even added features! I had no idea we could get a snuggle chair (my words for love seat) that would accommodate my husband and I along with our different heights. Jim was not pushy or rushing us, he wanted to be sure we would be happy...so it took us a week to bring in items from our current decor to help pick out the perfect piece! Hundreds of fabrics to choose from too!
Jim was a wonderful salesperson to work with. Very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. This is the second biggest ticket item we have purchased at Art Van. So thank you Jim for all your help and expertise. We will certainly ask for this gentleman if we find a need for a new purchase.

I stopped into Art Van looking for a decently priced recliner for my disabled mother after her old one finally broke. The salesman, Jim Dennis was incredibly helpful, caring, knowledgeable and not the least bit pushy or sales -pitchy. He helped me find just the right chair for her size and needs as well as my budget. I am incredibly satisfied with my purchase and my overall experience but most importantly my mother is happy, comfortable and safe in her new Power Lazy Boy Recliner.

Husband purchased a King size mattress with head lift. He is still having some issues getting comfortable but hopefully in the next few weeks he will be getting a good nights sleep. The experience was mostly positive. Salesman was very knowledgeable and was not overly pushy. The two young men that brought the product to our home were very neat, timely and friendly. The only negative was that we were supposed to pay an additional amount for a guarantee on his comfort. Considering most mattress stores have a 30-day trial period offered at no additional cost, this was a little disappointing. Since husband bought the most expensive mattress in the store, if he is not comfortable with this not sure what else could be done!
I bought 2 new couches from them. Once I received them, the bottom of the couches were not stabled. It looks like they tried to stable them but the cloth was cut too short & caused the material to rip.

I went to ArtVan in Muskegon to purchase an outdoor couch for my deck. It was the middle of August so I figured there would be great sales! I saved 75% on my new deck couch and also on a little cabinet. I was very happy with my savings.However, the salesman never shook my hand, never introduced himself, and never printed a receipt for me. He found out where I work and talked about the football team even though I kept saying that I dont know anything about football. Finally, I just pretended that I knew what he was talking about so we could keep things moving along.When I went back to pick up the couch the next evening, it was 7:30 p.m. There were four salespeople in the show room but all of them were standing in the far back corner by the service center. No one stepped forward to help. I walked all the way back there and when I was finally within 10 feet of them, one of them asked how they could help me. So odd. The football-talking salesman was there and said, Oh hey, Diane... but then another man told me, Go talk to John to pick up your furniture. I said, Whos John?!Definitely a weird experience. The savings were amazing but the customer service was terrible.

I purchased a fireplace entertainment center. Upon looking at the unit I specifically asked the sales lady if it came assembled. She said it would except for the fire box. They would wrap it and put it on my truck. I came to pick it up on Sunday and it was in a box not assembled. One trim piece was loose when I unpacked it and I had to use finish nails to reattach it. One screw would not thread in because there was no insert to thread into. I made it work. No wonder they didnt assemble as I was told they would. BE CAREFUL if they say it comes assembled. Stacy was wonderful and very knowledgeable!Since I have purchased my bed the service and communication took a dive drastically! It took several phone calls to find out if my brackets for my headboard came in. It took months and I was told my $100 gift card did not come in the mail because the invoice was still open due to the head brackets. Finally they sent two young men out that did not know how to hook them to my bed nor does it hold my headboard in place so it bangs against my wall. And I still have not received my $100 gift card! not sure if I would want to go spend any more money there unless it was something I could take home and deliver myself. I think the customer service initially in the store was great however once they sell the product theyre on to the next customer and forget things that were promised. Unfortunately one of the few furniture stores in Muskegon. Maybe worth traveling a bit further for furniture.

I went into the store and when a woman asked if I needed help. I told her all she needed to do was find a computer because I knew what I wanted and all I needed to do was order it. She looked up the glider I had bought a few weeks ago and ordered the matching foot stool. I was in the store for only 10 minutes.
My husband and I went in to Art Van looking for new living room furniture but we didn’t really know what exactly we wanted. Stacie was such a huge help!! She took the time to not only listen to what we like but showed us a ton of different options. We spend between 2-3 hours with her and she never showed frustration when I couldn’t decide on what options I liked best. I would definitely recommend Stacie to anyone buying new furniture!!!

Very helpful! Even though they didnt have in store what I saw in another store, they knew what it was, looked it up and was able to get it ordered for me.

My husband and I worked with Lynne and she was able to find the perfect nursery chair that fit our style and budget! It arrived at the store a few days later and the pick up process was very smooth. When I unboxed the chair we were missing the hardware to attach the base, so I called the store. The gentleman who helped me on the phone reassured me that he would solve the problem and said he would call me back once he got to the bottom of this. I got a call a few hours later that he had scoured their stock and had finally found the 4 screws that fit the chair and he was very sorry this had happened. I know it’s a pain when things don’t always go to plan, but that is life and how this situation was handled was top notch. I felt that from start to finish, the team really cared - Lynne wanted to make sure we ended up with a chair we absolutely loved and the gentleman I spoke with over the phone was willing to do whatever it took to turn this situation around and help.
