Just wanted to take a minute and show my appreciation to the staff @ Great Lakes Ford, particularlyto my salesman, Matt Kahlo.After a very long wait for my Ford Bronco that became even longer when my order was puShed to sometime in 2022, I finally decided I needed to pull the trigger on something before winter hit. I started researching Rangers and found the Tremor package, which gave me a lot of the features I was interested in with the Bronco. 1 problem with that: dealer stock is short everywhere. It wasn’t impossible, but very difficult to find exactly what I was looking for…. Or so I thought.I sat down with Matt on a Friday, he did an extensive search of dealer inventory in the Midwest region. My truck arrived at the dealership Tuesday afternoon. Victor in finance got me an amazing loan rate, as well as a very affordable extended Ford factory warranty, and I was driving away Tuesday night with my new truck.If you’re looking for a particular vehicle, I cannot recommend Matt and the entire GLF staff enough. I HATE car shopping, I would have rather have a root canal than buy a new car. I recently purchased a used Ford Escape and Blue was very easy to work with and made the experience very easy and enjoyable. I didnt feel like he was treating me like I was stupid because Im a woman. He was willing to work with us on a trade-in and he was fair and kept his word. We were also able to finance under our budget. The warranty on the car is great, and I get free oil changes and car washes. I would do business with them again in a heartbeat.
Got my Subaru from Ducky earlier this year and had an amazing easy peasy experience. I knew exactly what I was looking for and he found the perfect match. We handled everything by phone until the day I went to pick it up and drove off the lot within 20 minutes. Inspected the car and made sure my tires were all aired up and the inside was detailed clean down to the last speck. Thanks DUCKY for all your help and hard work!!! I tried to use my Ford warranty for an oil change, I purchased the vehicle from a Ford dealer and my warranty covers oil changes. I should have known this would be a hassle when I was told over the phone By Great Lakes Ford that I would probably be waiting at least an hour before they could start, because it would take at least an hour to get through to the warranty company, well ok.I brought the paperwork in to the dealer the day of oil change and said I will be back once they got done with that part, I have to go eat. I thought they could handle that part while I was gone, since I was told that they could indeed do it without me.I came back after about 45 minutes and was told that the warranty people told them that I would have to pay and get reimbursed. Ok, fine. Almost 3 hours later I finally had an oil change.I wish there was a zero star option

Matt Kahlo has sold me all 4 vehicles I have bought. Very professional, very knowledgeable and very honest. I spent 3 hours looking for a vehicle and he got us what we wanted and was very patient with us. He answered my questions and asked questions that I didnt think of to make sure I got what I wanted. My husband and I have been very pleased with every vehicle we have bought through him. Will always go to him. Also, he will tell you if a feature on a vehicle you want doesnt exist and tell you what vehicle it does exist on.
After being a displeased customer dealing with the service department the manager Josh made it right. You can appreciate the trust and loyalty to this facility I will most definitely bring my vehicles here every time. Josh is very effective and efficient at his job I know I can rely on him and his employees he’s on top of it.
Will never shop here again…..let you test drive a vehicle and tell you it is for sale then change their mind snd decide they are going to put it on eBay where they can get above and beyond the sticker price. Obviously, they do not care about their community- especially during a global crisis. Just interested in making the almighty dollar, price gouging at it’s finest…. Sadly disappointed

My husbands truck is less than 2 years old and had to have a recall part done and something with his 4 wheel drive. It has now been in for a week and was promised a loaner vehicle and still nothing. We are still paying for this truck and not using it because its sitting at the Ford dealer :/
Have brought my Ford Taurus here since new and my f-150 here since I bought it used. After the last two visits I will no longer be supporting this dealership. Service quality is low!
Simply amazing! I didn’t have a recall addressed and my car broke down. I had it towed there on Thursday night after closing. First thing Friday (before business opening) they called and asked my what was going on and I explained the issue. She told me they were booked out about two weeks for service but they would take a look that day and see what was actually going on. About 4:30 Lisa calls and tells me they have fixed my car and took care of another recall I had! Great Lakes Service is AMAZING!!!

Presented for an oil change on my Ford Explorer and as always, was met and treated with exceptional customer service from the GLF of Muskegon service department staff. The technician took his time explaining his findings and recommending any service issues and/or concerns. Always a pleasure doing business with GLF of Muskegon.As a side note, I am also leasing a Ford Edge from GLF of Muskegon and hopefully will continue to do business with them in the future provided they dont lose their customer service ethics and are willing to work out fair pricing practices.

I stopped in to the service department with no appointment, as a first time customer. Had to wait a short bit, but got my car right in, even gave it a bath!
This is one of the worst places I’ve been for service! Very unprofessional with answers to questions; “like I don’t know why it’s doing that now”. Well I just paid 300 dollars for labor and my ac still blows cold air no hot. My car has been here two days! Just for me to get my stuff back working the same way when I first brought it here! Very Livid!!!

We purchased a 2017 vehicle off the pre-owned lot and 4 days later the front brake caliper came off and wedged between the rotor and rim causing the wheel to lock up. Thank god my son was driving at high speeds on the highway. One bolt was missing and one was 3/4s of the way out. The dealer replaced the rotors and pads before putting it on their lot for sale and forgot to tighten the bolts down. So much for the multi-point safety equipment check. The sales rep was very apologetic, however I never heard from the service manager at all. A simple phone call would have most likely kept me as a future customer. Guess they dont need returning customers.
People are ok.Service department techs need to learn to check air pressure in the tires after a rotation, f250 has different psi for front and rear and they let me drive out of there with rear psi in front and front psi in rear after a tire rotation! Um no! Thats to proper practice for a tire rotation....

Took my F150 in for its first oil change. Welcoming service however it took over an hour for oil change and tire rotation. Seems a bit long for me. Truck came back fine, no issues. I ask the service advisor about a possible recall (door latches) and they gave me some info but mostly vague answers. Only reason this was brought up was because I mentioned it, service failed to bring it up. After that conversation I was given my paperwork and shown to the cashier. Nobody went over what they did to my truck or explained what the 27 point inspection included. I felt like they were not very customer friendly about explaining stuff etc. I may come back here for the recall but I also may go to Grand Haven where I’ve had better experience in the past. The dealer for sales I give five stars. For service gotta go with three.
Never using their service department again. Paid much more than I was quoted for the original repair because they didn’t know what they were quoting. Came home with no rear defrost on my car, (it worked perfectly before they tore my car apart.). Now they’re charging me over 300.00 to fix my rear defrost.
Terrible service from the service side. Come in with 2 problems and they only fix one. Bought two used cars from here, both are lemons. Not making same mistake again with these guys.

Josh took my information and stayed late to prepare an offer with 3 different financing options. The following day we made the deal and the truck was delivered to me the next day, on Saturday, by 2 nice gentlemen. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. Thank you Josh, Rich, and the 2 drivers who drove 3 hours one way to bring me my truck.
I purchased my vehicle about 2 years ago. We settled on a fair price that I was comfortable with. Since then, I have required service on two occasions and both were covered by my warranty. They have honored their word on everything they promised, and they excel at customer service. I will definitely purchase future vehicles from them!
Just got my 2014 Taurus SHO back from their service center. They did a bunch of diagnosis work and made necessary repairs. I was charged nothing but the gas that they had to put in it because I left them with an empty tank. First rate service and work. Also I cannot say enough about their salesmen Blue. Definitely a customer for life

Just want to shout out on what great service you receive at Great Lakes Ford, had my Ford Escape tow in for repairs, explained what was going on, signed my name and was in a loaner car within 15mins.with a time line of a day or so in repairs. Rode off happy and relieved all at the same time. By the way...dont have to worry about cost either, I got the 2yr extended warranty, just $100 deductible. 😊☺😉
Best place to buy a used car. If youre looking for a new car, call and ask for Glen. Glen really toke of me. Im only 19 and was treated right and as a buyer like i should be, unlike other dealers. I bought a 2010 Ford Fusion form Glen and he did me very well. Long test drives, great communication (but not to pushy), and very friendly. I am very happy with my new Fusion and have the newest year of car in the driveway!Ask for Glen!!!!!!!!
I have had a lot of repairs done at great lakes ford and have paid thousands of dollars in repairs to them. I went in to get a headlight bulb changed for $300. Ok they did it but didnt seal the light back up good and it flooded. I parked my car for the winter and in springish pulled out and called them, they said too bad its out of the 1yr warranty even though they did sloppy work. I asked them how much to replace the whole headlight unit and they sais $2200.. Thats crazy, so I took to fox ford in grand rapids and only cost me $782 to replace.. Wow why so much more? Makes me question how much more I paid for my other repairs there. Its worth the drive to get better service and better quality. So long Great Lakes Ford

I didnt end up buying a car from here, because they did not have the particular type of car I was looking for. That being said, the salesman was very professional, introduced himself to me (not all dealers will introduce themselves to a woman) and answered questions I had about the car. He was never condescending in any way. He left me one voicemail and sent one e-mail. I look forward to interacting with this dealership the next time I go used car shopping.
Went to sign up to become a driver for them and they called me 3 tomes so far to drive a 16 hr. Drive. Do not split up the driving with all drivers. But showroom and sales did look nice and professional
I bought a car from here, took a look under it just recently, and part of the frame was smashed. Never heard a word about it from them, and it’s quite obvious. Also, the engine light was on when I bought it, they told me they would fix it, never told me what it was. When I got it back after them “fixing it” the salesman said “blows cold ac”. Next day engine light was back on, took it to Auto Zone and it was something with the ac. Overall would not recommend, go look elsewhere. Communication was poor, as well as their transparency.

Bought a f150 Platinum my truck was making a clunking and banging nose. When I would turn the steering wheel right to left.. Thinking maybe its the two universal joints on the steering shaft maybe? So i brought my truck in to the dealership talk to the salesman and he said I cant get ahold of anybody right now on the phone. Instead he could have pointed me into the direction of service since I have never known where their service department was.. He told me to come back in a few days and maybe well set up appointment? Kind of like hey it might even fix itself? Its been about 2 weeks and I still havent been able to drive my truck and they definitely couldnt help me out with a loner so getting back and forth from work makes it very difficult. My steering is still loose and still making banging and clunking noises.. when I first bought my F-150 platinum I noticed a loose bracket with a switch on the inside of my Fender was loose so the service department instead of fixing it the proper way it looks like they just squirt some glue all over the bad bracket. Ill have a different ford dealership fix the problem.. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone to find a safe and reliable vehicle! I guess the extended warranty they gave me wasnt good enough with only knowing my truck has 39k miles on it.. Theyre only good if they say they stand by their product which for they havent.. He went above and beyond to make sure the transaction was as smooth as possible. I bought a beautiful 2012 Ford Explorer from him by looking only at pictures and reading his descriptions on the internet, since I am from NJ. He helped me deal with financing, get a auto transporter, get all the paperwork ready and he made sure I was completely happy every step of the way. The worst part of the whole experience was waiting for the car to get delivered and paper work to be ready, so that I can drive it.Excellent service, excellent communication, vehicle exactly as described. Great service experience. We were traveling in the area, and needed some routine maintenance. These folks are superb to a person. From the phone call to make the appointment, to the service writer, to the technician, to the cashier all are friendly & professional. Ill return when the need arises.
They sold my friend a not so reliable truck which they assured is would be. Been back in the shop 4 times in 16 months. The cheapest time was a $1200 visit. 2 of the times wouldve been a catastrophic failure. Nothing against Ford as a brand. The service dept. is slow and forgetful. Doesnt always do what they promise. Not forthcoming with inspection paperwork either. If I ever buy a Ford itll be from some other lot.

Bought a used car from them 2.5 years ago and the battery went dead. The battery was still under motorcraft warranty but I had no invoice to have it replaced. The service department was nice enough to send the invoice to my local ford dealer to have it replaced. We have been happy with the car and appreciate the service department for going out of their way to do the honest thing!

4 weeks ago I took my car in to get a undershield put back on my car they put screws and nuts on that were bad it came off second time I take it back to the second time to get it fixed rate which they should have did the first time as far as Im concerned great lakes Ford is nothing but junk
