DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! Completely underhanded and will burn you, guaranteed. Brought my Aston Martin here to have a custom exhaust done - SIX MONTHS later, nothing done. Then they have the audacity to be rude and still have not even put my car back together. Having to have it towed to the dealer to be reassembled. If you value your car and time - look elsewhere to spend your money, these scam artists are not worth the effort. Trust me!

After explaining to one of the employees (Angela) over the phone about my situation.  That I am currently overseas, and I wanted to check their availability to see my vehicle if I have it towed in with my fiancée in tow. After some small talk about her appreciation for my military service and that she was a part of the military as well, Angela stated they would be able to see my vehicle today with a $124.00 diagnosis fee which was fine and the locate standard. With everything prepared my fiancée and had my vehicle towed to the auto shop and explained to them some of the issues we were experiences, check engine light, oil leak, and rough start. They attempted to charge her$124.00per issues she stated. My fiancée is not an auto technician and could not possibly know what was related to what as it pertains to the issues. Diagnostic fee totaling 375.75. To inspect and verify prior to any work. After my fiancée left, she called me to asked why it was expensive, I promptly call the auto shop and asked for a detailed explanation as to why the diagnostic fee for charged 3x. The employee attempted to explain to me “this is standard to protect the technicians”. I explained to her this was unacceptable, and she placed me on hold to speak with Angela. After a few moments, she came back on the phone and said she could remove 1 of the 3 diagnostic fees placing the new total to $250.00 which is higher than luxury vehicle dealerships.  I did not agree with this and I told Angela that I did not want to move forward and halt all actions for my vehicle. I had explained to Angela that we would get the vehicle towed to a different location and she agreed. My fiancée went back to pick up the car and she reiterated we were taking it to another shop. The front desk employee then proceeded to explain how ALL shops charge this way and we would not be able to find a better deal. My fiancée politely told them multiple times that we were just going to take it elsewhere. When the tow arrived, the employee spoke to the tow truckdriver before my fiancée was present and told them they had worked on the car with 3 hours of labor and it had a huge oil leak and shouldnt be towed. Which was a complete lie. We reiterated that we never did business with this auto shop, they had not looked at the car yet, and my fiancée had to reiterate we are going to tow it to another shop. This was unacceptable, unbelievable, and completely unprofessional conduct. The tow truck driver said that this was ridiculous, and he does not know why they were doing this to us.” Take caution! This establishments actions display poor business practices in attempts to take advantage of its customers. We are reporting them to the better business bureau as well.

Im not one to give bad reviews to a local business, but they kept spamming me with messages to leave a review so here we go. I used to take my car there to fix many things, but my last experience wasnt the greatest. I had my exhaust manifold replaced by the mechanic, and everything seemed fine until I started to hear the exhaust leak again. I took it back and they said the part was bad, so they would have to order a new one and charge me again for the labor. I would think it would be done right the first time with a good part, but this was not the case. I feel I shouldnt have to pay twice for labor just because they ordered a bad part.

Today I went into Sterling automotive I spoke with the owner Scott and his receptionist his receptionist told me that they could do the job for me by pulling a program from my transmission then I can install it myself and then they could reprogram it however I drive down there and then the receptionist tells me I need to speak to the boss the boss comes out by the name of Scott and Scott persist to tell me halfway through me explaining what I need done. Scott Cut me off midsentence and yelled at me in a very unprofessional and unethical manner in front of customers and parts delivery people humiliated me at his own place of business and told me that he would not do the job because I’m taking work from his shop because I’m doing the labor myself and that he can’t do that and won’t do that. Then Scott persisted to tell me that his receptionist must’ve been mistaken about saving the information so that I can install the part and then have it reprogrammed even though I’ve spoke to three different Mercedes dealerships and they told me that this is the way to do it I literally had the owner of a business tell me that he was not gonna take my job because I was doing my own labor and only asking him to program my car and that’s not how he runs his business he does the full job in whole not partial jobs this man is the most disrespectful and unprofessional I would never recommend you taking your vehicle to this shady thief of a mechanic for the sake of being talked down to even though I was going to be a paying customer I decided to choose the highroad and say sure you’re right and walk out even though I know this man is a complete liar do not trust this man he is a street criminal with a blue-collar business

Sterling Auto Sports has been taking care of my cars for several years now, this includes my Lamborghini, Ferrari and my Porsche turbo s. There expertise and service is exceptional and I have to say that Scott is the best Porsche mechanic that I have found. Trust them to take care of your car, you won’t be sorry.

Honest folks w/a great deal of knowledge of how to fix German cars. Unlike many dealerships or autoshops, they will not find problems that are not really there. Their inspections are reliable and trustworthy.

Diagnostic work was unsatisfactory code errors were not cleared car will not start absolutely nothing was resolved! Expensive way to have someone else tell you exactly what you told them? Ten days in the shop and never entered the service bay.

Very honest and dependable. My friend used to bring her 1999 Volvo S70 here for repairs and maintenance. My sister also went there to get her check engine light on her Porsche taken care of. The dealer was about to charge my sister $6000 for a Catalytic Converter; Thanks to Sterling Autosport, it only took $160. They added some additives in the system and a year now, it still works great and no check engine light. I also took my 2015 VW Jetta TDI there for service. I have to say, this is a great shop if you own an European vehicle. 5 stars all the way. No questions about it.

I paid over 1,200 dollars for something that they couldnt even fix they told me ok now we have to try to fix this and see if it fixes your problem. So they were just guessing to see what was wrong I thought the diagnosis was supposed to tell you what is wrong apparently not with this shop they charged me all that money to tell me oh it didnt fix the problem so now we have to connect it to our computer and fix this thing to see if it fixes your problem. They told me they couldnt tell me why my range rover was turning off when I would come to a stop. I took it to another Shop in town and he said these range rovers have a common problem with the throttle body getting dirty easy and making your range rover stall so he quickly took it apart and sprayed it clean it put it back together and what do you know it never stalled on me. Sterling Autosport is a joke they ripped me off plus they didnt even solve the problem dont waste your time and money at that place complete garbage.

I have been doing business with Sterling Autosport since we moved to California. Scott has always taken good care of our Jaguars whether for general service or repairs.His staff is always friendly and I always enjoy being greeted by his receptionist, Mary.For 13 years I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience.

This is the best auto repair shop Ive ever been to. They treat you extremely well and the mechanic shows you whats wrong with the car and explains everything prior to working on the car. They have a very comfortable and clean waiting room. The service is amazing. I brought my 2003 bmw 325i here and repaired the problems in an hour and the price was very reasonable.

My previous VW service shop closed so I tried out Sterling. My experience with them was exceptional and they have won a return customer.I am certainty surprised by some of the negative reviews on Google and Yelp as my experience was the complete opposite. They seemed respectful, knowledgeable and price conscious. They were open to perform my requested aftermarket add-on for a reasonable cost. I will suggest my other friends with Euro cars to try them out.

We started bringing our older Jag and Porsche to Sterling about 5 years ago. From Mary at the front desk, to Scott the owner, and all the mechanics, we have always been treated like valued friends instead of a dollar sign. Not only has the customer service, but also the mechanical service, been top notch. Time has always been spent to make sure we understood our options; what was critical and needed to be done now, and what could wait.We have referred several of our co-workers and friends to Sterling, and they have been just as pleased with the service as we are.So, if you want great work done at a reasonable price, Sterling should be your first choice!!

Do not take your vehicle here. Not honest and overpriced. Have taken vehicle here over the years and there is always something wrong after the fix. Went to AutoZone and they immediately told me what was wrong with my vehicle WITHOUT charging me a diagnosis fee. Go somewhere else!

I have been having my 2002 Landrover serviced at Sterling since moving to Temecula past 5 yrs. They are number 1 on my list for auto repair. Mary does a fantastic job on setting up my appointments for me and Jesse does a great job on knowing what it takes to get my landrover back on the road and you cant beat the prices. Keep up the good work.

I prefer to work on my own car, but this one had me stumped. I had an EWS Input error, no cluster warning lights, no dash turn signals and no back lights. I thought it might be the EWS module or the LCM module. This repair could have easily gone sideways, but the tech isolated the problem to a skewed connector on the cluster. It took the tech 2-hours to troubleshoot the problem, but Sterling only charged me one hour labor. Ill take honest work at a fair price all day long. Thanks Wyatt and Mary - you are awesome!
