The staff members at Ace Hardware in Mundelein are always very helpful. They carried the umbrella I bought out to my car; with the return when it did not meet my needs; with the next umbrella that did and also the price was right. I even got a flat of vegetable plants for $5.00. The red umbrella I bought was only $69 and has a wonderful crank and solar lights! Thank you Mundelein Ace Hardware!!!

The staff went above and beyond for me today. Isaac was so kind and helped me get what I needed in an instant. Brett was very helpful as well. Even during a busy and overwhelming time he provided outstanding customer service. I give both of these guys 5 stars!!!!!! Thank you both.

The Ace Hardware store in Mundelein is a medium size hardware store thats been around for as long as I can remember, its kept clean and organized the staff at the Mundelein Ace Hardware are extremely friendly and are extremely helpful as they are trained to answer your questions about most common issues you may need help with.

Small and some employees are more helpful and friendly than others, but it gets the job done for the air system filters and other small items we need for our current home renovation project.Edit: Thanks for the quick response! Thanks again though, I really do appreciate the reasonable prices you do have. That is why I will continue to return soon! A great small hardware store that carries many items. Reminds me of the hardware stores 40 years ago before the warehouse stores dominated the landscape.

I worked there in 1970 as a service manager when the store first opened up . Mr Hesse Was a good man to work for . We had a good crew as I believe you do now I’m glad to see how much the store has grown . I started out in their store in Libertyville Illinois . Fawn memories working there .

So I figured since the business was cool enough to reply to my review, Id add some substance. This place is always fun to go to. Ive been going here years, ever since I was a kid, with my dad. All of their items are high quality, which is expected of Ace, but the custom service/employees are also high quality. Fun to talk to, always personable, and can get you in and out in a hurry. Definitely recommended for your hardware needs!

The place is well organized. The workers seem to be into their jobs pretty well and know a lot about different products. Whenever I need help with anything they always help, whether if I just need to be pointed in the right direction or need help choosing which product would work best. They also recycle the fluorescent bulb tubes here which is cool. I never have problems here and I can always rely on this place.

The Mundelein Ace Hardware is one of those increasingly rare small, local hardware stores that somehow has just what you came in to find, and a bunch of stuff you didnt know existed or needed until you see it. It helps that the staff (which you can find without a 30 minute hike around a big box home center) is helpful and courteous.
