They are so experienced with stringed instruments, it makes the whole experience all the more enjoyable. We bought our daughters first violin after renting one for a year. They helped her pick the right instrument from the options based in her level. Very knowledgable, considerate and passionate owner/staff. Highly recommended.

They were extremely helpful and friendly! They had so much to offer at the store and had a bunch of options to choose from. I had a peg that broke on my violin and quickly came in to see if I could get it fixed. Thankfully, they could and I even got to see some of their supplies, which is where I will be purchasing from now on. Highly recommend

When one of my sons cello strings broke along with the bridge falling off, happened to find this place on here. Let me tell you, not only are they very knowledgeable of these delicate yet beautiful instruments but they are the upmost humble people as well. Jason was not only able to straighten the bridge but was able to tune all the strings after adding the broken one.Theres people who know about fixing instruments but there are also those who care and go far and beyond on showing how to care for the instrument. My son was happy and along the way learned how to hold the cello in its bag as well.Thank you again for the your wonderful help this morning. Cant wait to hear him practice more now.

I have been to different places to learn cello and this has been the best one I have gone to yet. My instructor is very skilled and professional, not to mention the customer service is helpful and friendly. I have recommended a few friends of mine to try out their violins and lessons, and they all returned very positive feedback. In overall, you cannot find a better strings shop in the neighborhood.

Jason, the manager, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it came to answering my questions about violins and which instruments my 4 year old daughter would learn best on.The store itself is quite spacious and they offer music classes throughout the week in their many classrooms.I recommend this establishment for anyone looking for lessons by experienced teachers, friendly assistance, and purchasing, renting and repair of instruments. Two thumbs up!

Wonderfully helpful and they have very competitive prices on their rental instruments. They even have lessons, and offer free trial lessons (unheard of anywhere else in the area). They are also very passionate about their music. We were lucky enough to hear some beautiful cello while we were there.

I went in to get a string replaced on a violin. The owners welcomed me as soon as I stepped in the door and got me taken care of promptly. They only charged for the string itself, no service fee for stringing it on, and I was given very helpful advice on proper storage and maintenance of the instrument.

It’s been about 8 years since I played violin and I recently picked it back up. I was in need of a new violin and having never bought a violin from an actual shop, I felt intimidated, a little lost and not completely sure of what to look for. After calling a couple shops in my area, I decided to call Sono Strings. I spoke to Jason, a luthier at the shop, and he was very kind over the phone and told me price ranges and answered some questions I had. The next day I traveled about an hour and 30 minutes to check out some of their violins. I was really anxious and a bit nervous not knowing what to expect (the only violin I had ever purchased was a violin that I bought from a pawn shop in middle school). As soon as I stepped foot into the shop I was greeted. Jason had remembered speaking to me the day before and began helping me. He allowed me to test out about 10 or so violins that were in my price range. I tried out each violin in one of their practice rooms and spent about 3 hours carefully choosing the right violin. Once I found the violin for me Jason brought in a ton of bows for me to test out. Another guy (I didn’t get his name) had helped me decide between two violins that I was stuck between and also helped explain to me the differences between bows when I was unsure of what to look for. When it came to picking out a case for my new violin Connie and Jason were both helpful and gave me a few options to choose from. Overall, I really loved the customer service I received from all three of the employees in the shop. They were very patient with me, informative, and kind. My experience with Sono Strings greatly exceeded my expectations and was well worth the hour and 30 minute drive. The daunting task of purchasing a violin quickly became an enjoyable process once I walked into Sono Strings. I would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase or rent a violin and will be going to them for any future violin needs.

I had a very good experience at Sono strings. They were very reasonable and knowledgable. They only have been open since January 2016, but they have been in the string instrument industry for around 10 years! I am surprised to see they are trying to better the community rather than just trying to make money.

I recently brought in my violin bow to Sono Strings for a rehair. The services is fantastic. I got my bow back less than a week. They not only do rehair but other repairs. They also have great selection on instrument. They have great price. The people are very knowledgeable. There is also a studio where you can take lesson there.
