TLDR; avoid.The owner was inexplicably rude. Not only to me, but also to his employees, who were visibly uncomfortable. Im a Mountain View home owner doing some DIY landscaping and hoping to support a local business instead of buying from big box. My experience in the office was so bad that I drove to their competitor in Redwood City (near Holly and 101) where the staff was super friendly and even helped me load my boxes. So I drove further, paid (slightly) more, and was happy to do it because the Mountain View Garden Center was that bad. Itd be a sad existence if your default mode of interacting with the world was that negative. Hopefully the staff is able to find a less toxic work environment.

I have deep concerns regarding how the owner Victor treats his employees! I truly feel for those who work for and with Victor! In my last two visits I have heard, view his Billing! He has created a Hostel working atmosphere for his employees! Just imagine working for someone like Victor at this time? Work being hard to find, needing to work! The employees are living in fear for their jobs!The only thing Business Bully (Victor) understands is 💰 If you have any sense of humanity, Boycott the establishment !Once a Bully aways a Bully!!!!!I DO NOT RECOMMEND 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 You only got one star, because its the lowest one can give!Sham on you Victor! Sham!!

Never have I felt such a strong desire to write a bad review of a business. Ive purchased from them a few times over the years and the service was fine but todays visit was just inexcusable. The attitude of the lady behind the counter was poor and the man (husband) behind the counter was swearing like a drunken sailor. The young lady (daughter?) seemed to be following in her parents footsteps with an attitude as well. They all seemed tired and put out to help or answer any questions. Not sure what happened to this place but we left and made our $600 purchase elsewhere. Will never go back and will recommend the same to friends and family. I also work for a contractor and will recommend the same.

The driver put the dirt in front of my garage, my car can not get out.The driver should call me to ask where to put the dirt, not just put the dirt and then go away... this really makes me mad...

Bulk rock, dirt, and mulch. If you need to get a lot of this stuff for your landscape, this is a great place to do it. They also deliver (not free, they charge based distance) and you can load up a large truck full of either one type of material, or a variety of different stuff.

Great people to do business with.

This place is a joke. Guy in the front office didnt want to move his car so a truck could get around to off load. Caused a delay for everybody. No bathrooms for customers. Horrible customer service. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Save the headache. There are other material places that offer better quality.

This place has disappointed me many times over the years from poor customer service. They wont let you take a concrete trailer in the afternoon for fear of you not returning it on time. Also, I work out of a van most of the time and they wont let me load it with bulk materials. All the other rockeries/ bulk-soil yards have no problem with this.

I went to pick up material and the front desk employee was polite but then the owner came out screaming at the employee and at my self ge was very rude loud and has no manners what so ever no patience and if your not going to have good manners why run a business with no ethics.

Do not buy stone, brick concrete blocks here unless you have to. they will not restock or exchange left over material. end up trashing usable material because of owner not willing to take back usable material.J.C.

Delivery charges are much more reasonable than some competitors.

Poor quality materials, zero customer service. Bought stepping stones 24x24 inch. The stone dimensions for every one of the 20 stones ordered is all over the place. Some are an inch to two inches short, some are larger, others are of varying thickness. Amateurish quality. Owner is the only one with any authority, says he will replace but twice I called to confirm hell be there when I load up the truck and take the stones back and twice i was told he is out that day and the employees who work there wont take it back. The lady who works there is especially rude and ill mannered, slammed the phone down on me when I called. Stay away from places like this that treat customers like crap

It is an excellent place to speak your language and it is open 7 days a week and I recommend it very early.
