Coolest place to play cards, also the only place I know of to play cards (MTG). The owners are very friendly. The customers and fellow players are somehow also friendly, makes ya wonder... 5 stars though!!
Friendly owners and atmosphere. Store is kept nice and clean. Employees and regulars are knowledgeable and kind.
Great game shop in Mountain Home, they carry a variety of tabletop games: Magic, Warhammer, and DnD just to name a few. The owners are super friendly and are also very knowledgeable on said tabletops.
The new owners are really great. They will put orders together for you and keep a keen ear to the ground for anything new. They always let us know when new stuff is coming for pre orders and ever since Ive gotten all of the new books and minis I want the moment they come out. Definitely doing it right !
People there are awesome and the owners it might look shabby and have very cards pricey but thats more the website they use then them they have to make some money anyway idk if the owners are the same now but I used to know them pretty well and loved gaming there Ill be moving back to Arkansas soon hoping that I can get a chance to stop by again i need to get back in to magic love you guys cant wait to see u again its been like 6years
Great place! The new owners are really doing a great job. Their stock is great and alway helpful!
Its a wonderful place full of everything nerdy!!! The owners are always helpful and willing to answer any questions and help you find what ur looking for. Its also a great place to hang out and play games with groups like magic the gathering, Pokemon, yugioh, dnd, etc.
First, I have to say that the players and patrons of this store were for sure the nicest, and most welcoming Ive ever seen. They made my night, and invited me to play and offered up decks since I had left mine at home. That is where the praise stops though.Easily the worst card shop Ive that seen, with the strangest hours. The staff didnt greet me, or even ask what I needed, which was crazy considering I was standing at the counter looking to purchase some of their far higher than marketplace priced singles. I had hoped the interior would be nicer than the exterior but it was dirty, with no air conditioning. It looked like most of the fixtures were reclaimed from a dump or garage sale, and busted up walls didnt help the aesthetic. If you have everything you need and plan to play a very casual game, this is your place. Otherwise, Id say youre better off elsewhere.
I wish I could write a review after going into the store, but that just hasnt happened. I dont come into town very often as I live elsewhere but every time Ive stopped by the shop has been closed. An opening time of 4:30 on everyday but Saturday seems crazy to me. The first time I drove by and thought it was a fluke, that maybe something had happened. Second time I came in on a Monday and the store was closed up as well. Finally got there on a Friday and still nobody! I got out of the car and looked at the hours... Talk about horribly disappointing! I ended up buying cards and Warhammer miniatures off of Amazon and Miniaturemarket instead.
Excellent Atmosphere. I cant wait for gamestop to go under. These folks deserve your business.
Used to play booster drafts and what not and fell out of the game for a while. I started playing again and wanting to support local businesses and had terrible upon terrible service. The hours were really goofy and the kid who ran the counter was nice but special ordered some sleeves that a month and a half later told they were never ordered...I called and came in multiple times to check on the status and was told they would be on the next order...the week before I got my refund I came at open and they were 30 minutes late opening, came in again and they closed at least 15 minutes early, was told they were gonna be rushed shipped the next day I came in and I would be called and be met up to get the sleeves and they finally after I came in again they werent even ordered. I was given a refund without a problem but it was really disappointing
I been coming buy to the Game Portal for 5 Years. I came buy there 3 Times for buying Video Games. I was there at age of 29 on December 20th, 2014. Then again at age of 30 on September 19th, 2015. And again in February or March of 2016. After that. The Game Portal did go out of business for no reason. I have not been there since. But i decided not to come buy there anymore after 5 Years. Yes i did miss the Game Portal. So i give it 5 Stars for the Game Portal after 5 Years. Before i moved away to the apartment for the first time.
I played at a prerelease here in July 2019, and was blown away by how friendly and nice the staff and players were. I was in town only for the weekend, so who knows if Ill make it again, but I loved it and totally will if I can.
Been my go to place for everything game related from Magic The Gathering to board games. Wonderful hospitality and overall a great place to spend time with family and friends.
Great place to find any game you you want. They do special orders. Any gaming system or controllers you can usually find here
