I found what seemed to be my dream truck online at Mountain Home Auto Ranch and though it was a bit of a drive from Eagle, I made the drive out and it was WELL worth the trip! Everyone I encountered was amazing, and I was especially happy with Stephanie who had the truck ready and prepped for me to view as soon as I got there. Id been shopping around a bit and was so surprised at how little many of the sales people knew about the trucks they had - but that was not the case with Stephanie. She had answers to every question I had for her and gave me information I didnt even think to ask! I felt so confident in everything she said that it was a simple decision to buy the truck from her that day. Ive had the truck a little while and shes been available for me whenever I have a question and if I ever need to buy another vehicle, I guarantee Stephanie will be my first and likely last stop!

Had a great experience at Mountain Home Auto Ranch on Tuesday when I purchased my new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Stephanie the sales associate who helped me was professional and polite. She was also very personable and engaged in conversations outside of trying to sell a vehicle which made this experience more enjoyable. She was also very knowledge about the vehicle. Just bought a new truck from Jedediah Borsvold and team @mountainhomeautoranch and love it. But it’s NOT all about the truck, this review is of the service I received. Jedediah was a phenomenal help in finding the right truck for me. I went in thinking I knew what I wanted but he knew there was an even better fit for me. All that said, I was ready to walk away from the deal when I found out my trade was worth way less than I expected. However, Jeremy was able to work some serious financing/accessorizing magic and made the deal worth it. Good save Jeremy! I really appreciate how hard these two worked to make sure I left a happy customer, and I am, a HAPPY CUSTOMER!!

My girlfriend and I came in to find her a car. She was a first time car buyer and R. Jay was EXTREMELY kind and VERY helpful, and the rest of the employees were very very kind during the whole visit! They even had us bring our dogs in so that they wouldnt have to wait outside in the heat! (We were going camping after we bought her car so we had them with us) We were extremely satisfied with our experience as we had been bouncing around rude dealership after rude dealership. We WILL be returning to the Auto Ranch when we need a new vehicle again.

I called the Mountain Home Truck Ranch today to confirm that I purchased an extended service plan on the F-150 that I purchased new in 2017. The sales manager that I was transferred to informed me that, no, I only purchased a gap insurance plan. Thinking this was only a confirmation to what I already knew, I annoyingly decided to look through my paperwork. There it is was, paperwork confirming I had purchased the plan. I called back and was transferred to the same sales manager. After explaining the details of the paperwork, he conceded that I actually bought the $2,300 plan. He said that it wasnt in the system when he checked...it literally appeared on the system in the ten minutes it took me to go through my paperwork, on a truck that I purchased in 2017! If you want to buy a truck from liars, then go ahead.

Took my pickup in to get a diagnosis of what was wrong with the engine and took them a day and a half to figure out what was wrong with it. After talking with them and deciding not to have the work done at this time went to pick up my truck from them and found I no longer have reverse. When I asked them what they did to it they told me they didn’t do anything to the transmission so they did not know that it has to be a pre existing condition, then when another member from the service department went and talked to the technician that looked at it he told me that he brake torqued the truck in reverse as part of the diagnostic presses and he thinks it might have something to do with the shift cable and if I wanted they could diagnose it for me free of charge and I told them no because all they are going to tell me is now I have a bad transmission. Went in for engine codes for a misfire and came out with a bad transmission. Thanks auto ranch

Wow! My husband and I went in on Monday and walked out with a 2018 longhorn with super low miles and all the perks at an awesome deal! The Mountain Home Auto Ranch team is incredible! We are traveling full time in our Class C Ford E450 motor home and developed a warranty issue. We called ahead and talked to Heath of the Service Department and scheduled an appointment for repairs when we would be passing through Mountain Home. Arrived the service center and Heath immediately took care of us and within a couple hours our warranty issue was corrected and we were on our way. AWSOME!!! My wife and I went it to the Auto Ranch for an oil change and decided to look at a possible upgrade, we were looking at a diesel and I guess it was good timing when Miguel (our salesman) Approached us just to simple see how we were and how our day was . I can’t tell you how nice it is to have a non pushy good honest salesman help us, we didn’t plan on buying that day but I can tell you what, Miguel is an Awsome guy and he worked every ounce to get us what we wanted for the price we could afford . We came back that day and traded my truck for that diesel because of Miguel, we even came back a couple weeks later and upgraded my wife’s rig because Miguel and the auto ranch really hooked us up. Over the years, my family has purchased a number of vehicles from Mountain Home Auto Ranch. In 2013, we purchased one final vehicle from them - a brand new 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport (white hardtop, lift, wheels, tires, 26 miles). In the first 6 months, we had to rebuild the lift because it was dangerously unstable. We also identified Mountain Home Auto Ranch had patched exterior body damage, painted the black rubber top white, and sold it as a brand new white hardtop Jeep. Mountain Home Auto Ranch had opportunity to make this right, but ghosted.In avoiding remedy of the shady Jeep deal, Mountain Home Auto Ranch lost generations in a single family as loyal customers.

Was looking for a very specific truck and found that this dealership had one on order and it was arriving soon. A few California dealers also had something similar, but they were all being greedy and marking them up $5K to $10K. Called Mountain Home Auto Ranch and spoke to Luis in sales. He confirmed the truck was available so I put a deposit down on it, watiing for it to arrive. Yesterday it arrived, so I flew from CA to ID and took delivery of my new truck. Luis had all the paperwork ready to go when I arrived and Jeremy the sales manager went through all our paperwork in about 20 minutes. Luis helped us set up a few custom things on the truck and within an hour we were driving off. It was a seamless transaction, no high pressure sales, no games. A true hometown dealership that cares about customers and treats them with respect! You cant find this in CA anymore, it was a breath of fresh air to experience this again in Idaho! It was worth the 10 hour drive home!

Wont buy a vehicle here again. The online prices are very misleading. There is the MSRP, Best price, and conditional price. I confirmed before I went the price, and when I got there it had jumped back up to the MSRP, even though the website still shows the same price. Was enough to put a damper on the process when paying 3000 more than quoted. Bitter driving a new car feeling cheated...

I had some issues in the past with the prior Team that assisted with some issues I was experiencing with my AC not working in my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I previously had to bring my vehicle in every year to have a different component fixed related to my AC Unit. However, ever since they put a whole new Service Team in place there has been a night and day difference. Nick Younger did an excellent job of getting my issue fixed and my AC has been working great ever since. In addition, I was provided with regular updates and the job of replacing my air conditioning evaporator core was completed in record time! Thank you again for the great service and quick turnaround time on fixing this issue!

She knew my name but wanted me to answer all of the questions again. Then I ended up back with Elise and she had me on hold for over 40 minutes. I never got an answer. If they want to sell trucks to people who are ready to buy, they need a much better chat service. I was going to purchase from them for my first time. Having second thoughts now. I try not to write bad reviews, and to only look at the positive, but PLEASE PLEASE beware! **** UPDATE **** We were just told by the service manager that Lemon Laws do not apply to used vehicle lots. JUST remember that.We bought a 2015 Dodge Ram and have been sold a lemon,They sold the vehicle with computer glitches, flickering lights, intermittent functionality on the cruise control, and a broken cv axle. We brought it in and were told that we had to pay for the deductible, which we paid. Then we brought the vehicle home and still heard a clanking, and the cruise control was still not working every time. We talked to someone and were told it was normal... Two weeks later the new part was broken again. *Note - we live in a small town and have only taken our truck to a grated mountain road 3 times*We take it back to their shop and of course we are super frustrated, and asked to speak to the manager, I told him we didnt want to have to pay for the part. We were told they would as a courtesy replace the cv axle for a second time. When I asked for a refund on the $100 we already paid as it was supposed to be an inspected vehicle we were told by the service manager (because we were pretty heated when we went in) Well, I could tell you sorry about your luck, but Im not We were offered a few Free oil changes as a way to make up for not issuing a refund on the $100 part we paid for (which ended up broken in less than 2 weeks only driving in town)Then a few weeks later we have broken header mounts. They then send us a bill for another $100. After we were told to bring the vehicle in by the General manager. NOW!!! We have a check engine light on. Moral of the story is DO NOT buy from here.They will KNOWINGLY sell you a vehicle that will surly become a money pit! DO NOT PURCHASE HERE! BUYER BEWARE!

NEVER buy the extended warranty. We were buying a brand new van, our first brand new van so we got all the options. Big mistake. I have called them and just keep getting put on hold while the receptionist looks for someone to take my call, tried calling the warranty number directly and its the same story. Just tried messaging and was again told it would be the highest priority and someone would get back to me. I wish I had looked at other reviews first before we bought. At this point, even if it EVENTUALLY gets fixed, it is not worth the hassle. They were nice enough for the sale, but clearly not willing to follow through on service.

We came in looking to use our 2016 Ram 1500 pick up as a trade in on a new 2021 2500 Ram. We were offered 14,000 for our trade in. We walked out. We then went to Peterson Dodge in Nampa and received 21,000 for our truck. We are now the proud owners of a 2021 Ram truck.

Do not buy there extended warranty deal!!!!! We had a 600 dollar sensor repair and the warranty company should’ve covered it but would never return our calls and neither did Mountain Home Auto after we called them. Will not be buying another car from them if they are unwilling to take care of their customers.EDIT: Darren, we were told you guys would call back. After many attempts we had no choice but to give up. Especially after being on call with the warranty company for over an hour. No remedy was made.

I loved this whole experience. Ill start by saying that while I dont spend a lot of time in car dealerships, only buying cars once every 5 years or so, I dont remember ever having a good experience in a traditional car dealership. Ill say that most of them have been awful, actually.That could not be further from true with my experience at this dealer. I had been looking for something specific, and had been calling all over the mountain west looking for the model and trim level I wanted. I got the run around from several other dealerships, but when I landed with Darren at Mountain Home, we were able to quickly negotiate a very fair deal (I evaluated about 10 other deals as part of this process.) We did it all over a handful of emails over the course of a day, and he was very straightforward throughout. In addition, he drove 45 minutes each way to pick me up at the airport, the paperwork was all prepared in advance, and not counting a short test drive, I was in and out of the dealership in about 10 minutes. The sales manager Mike was just as straightforward as Darren was, and I couldnt imagine an auto transaction going so smoothly.This place is several hours from my house, and Ill probably do this again because the deal and the whole experience was so good. I highly recommend them.

Seriously the best experience Ive had in a long time! We are traveling and needed an oil change. The online service scheduling system is wonderful and easy to navigate! As we were making our way in we noticed our Durango was running a little hot. I let them know at check in and they were more than willing to take a closer look. Turns out we had a cracked thermostat housing. They let us know right away and gave us a realistic timeline for repairs. Todd and Kyle called us frequently to update us on the status. They also were very clear on cost. What I loved most is the service advisor I check in was the same I checked out with. Every one I saw there wore a smile and everyone I spoke to was very pleasant. Top notch service department.whomtruly cares about the customers experience. If youre not giving them your business you should definitely change that. Im actually sad that I dont have a place like them closer to my home. Thank you so much!!

This place is a joke. I took my truck into them for warranty airbag replacement and told them not to touch the steering components that also have a recall because Ive already upgraded the parts myself, I also asked to have the TIPM updated with newest update for 50 or 60 dollars. Ofcourse they didnt listen to me and replaced the steering components like I asked them not to do. While doing this they also broke off the end of the drag link ball joint. Then they told me that they wont update my TIPM because they think there is a problem but that would cost $160(there was no problem, I just wanted it updated). When I showed them they parts they broke they said ok bring it in early Friday and we will fix it. Dropped the truck off and told it would be a few hours max, sat afternoon I go to check on it because I need it for work. They hadnt worked in it and then I was told that this part breaks all the time when we install it It does when you run it down with an impact! They then said that even though they did break it that they wont fix it because it doesnt effect how it drives. So if you want to be ignored and have your vehicle returned in worse shape than it was brought in, this is the dealership for you.

If i could give a 0 i would. Bought one vehicle from them they didnt actually check it out before I bought it so Ive had alot of problems in the first year of owning this vehicle. Radiator blew, lots of problems with seals & steering components plus random things leaking. Ive barely put 10k miles on it in one year. Some how during my complimentary oil changes they forgot to change the oil filter. Ended up getting an inspection done on the truck to sell it by them somehow they didnt realize the truck was there for the inspection so they didnt do it til late. They did the wrong inspection on the truck & came back to tell me my windhsield wiper fluid looked good essentially. Trying to get them to call the potential buyers of my vehicle back to give them the report has been a nightmare. Non stop problems with them at every turn. Do not shop for a vehicle here. Do not do business with this place. 👎

Don’t buy a extended warranty from them. I bought a brand new car zero miles with a few thousand dollar extended warranty. In the first month I decided I wouldn’t keep the car passed the original warranty that comes free with the car. Very long story.. over 20 phone calls including to the general manager with no return call. I finally went there personally and filed paperwork to get the extended warranty taken off. Of coarse the computer was down. But it really wasn’t and I caught him in a lie even then..Bottom line still not done anything. I’ve waisted about 10 hours on this and a drive there to. As of today still not got the issue fixed. It’s prorated I just found out. So every mile is still costing me. Even though I’ve only got 10,000 miles on it. And it had less than 1000 miles when I started asking for it to come off... one lie after another.... BUYER BEWARE OF THIS VERY SHADY PLACE.... so much to say. With this horrible experience. But I hope you get the clue. I was going to buy another new truck from there this year. But I will NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN!!! Worst service I’ve ever dealt with in my 55 year life!!!!!! Way more to what I’ve written also.

I love this place and especially the people who work there!!! They are awesome!! Our first experience with Mountain Home Auto Ranch was repair work in their maintenance department and the service was first rate so when we decided to lease a vehicle there was no choice to make.....it had to be our hometown dealership, Mountain Home Auto Ranch!There was absolutely no pressure to buy or lease any vehicle and they were so helpful and friendly. Rich sat in the car with me and helped me set up things like syncing my phone, etc. He’s awesome! Brad was very helpful in explaining paperwork so kudos there! I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Sandy, the receptionist who I feel we are more friends than business acquaintances!If you haven’t stopped by, do so and look around and I’m sure you won’t regret it!2021 Update: Unfortunately I was in an accident which totaled my Jeep Cherokee (no serious injuries)so where did I go for another vehicle? For a few weeks, I was inquiring to trade in my 2017 GMC Canyon. After having gone to a few different dealers, I realized that Mountain Home Auto Ranch was the most transparent, reasonable, and friendly choice. I worked mostly with Ro and Jeremy. After a few visits, the choice was clear. Jeremy was absolutely magnificent as he would run down prices and go the extra mile to produce numbers comparisons. The deal was very fair and clearly these employees care for the customer. Very happy with my new 2018 Ford Fusion. It is practically brand new! I have bought three vehicles from this place I never have a problem, maybe some up and downs with the service in general good. Normally Ill give 3 to 4 stars.After my experience in the last week, will be just one star. Totally disappointed with he service, I have been with out a car for now seven days. They even care to call me the same day I left the car, as they promise to inform me. so after more than 24 hrs I call to find out and they state they will call me back. I was in need of a car but didnt care at all. Today Monday noon time I havent get ant news yet. Thats is lack of customer service. Hope youll improve that, as customers we deserve the best.

Dana was great in helping me out with an Electronic Throttle Control caution light on the console.It took longer than anticipated but worth the wait. I was visiting Mtn Home from out of state and had a considerable drive home. It was great to be seen same day and on my way down the highway in a couple hours.There has been no reoccurrence of the light since the software update was performed.Dana explained what was wrong, what had been done, and the operational checkout performed post maintenance.Absolutely satisfied with my visit, time well spent to have the dually serviceable and back on the road.

Had a great research and purchasing experience with Rodney Nemeth at Mountain Home Auto Ranch. He was patient with all of our questions, certainly made sure we received all the incentives available, and it really was a pleasure sealing the deal there. Don’t discount Mountain Home Auto Ranch downtown Mountain Home when looking to purchase a vehicle in southern Idaho. They made everything easy! We live an hour and a half away, but are completely satisfied with the all around service and look forward to the service and/or maintenance in the future.

Purchased a truck on 7/14 and was pleased with the overall experience. Worked with Jeff (cannot pronounce or spell his last name). Jeff was very honest and great to work with. I let him know all of my questions and concerns up front and he was able to get me and my wife taken care of. Would highly recommend buying a vehicle from here and working with Jeff.
