Came from Cambria for a Pfizer booster. The two female staff were helpful but the pharmacist/owner was very rude to me and others.Today I returned to ask a questionand I heard the pharmacist tell his assistant that he didnt have time to answer any questions.John Heading was wonderful but the new owner will not be successful until his attitude changes.Go to Rite Aid.

Good small town pharmacy with card and gift store items. No longer owned by John Heading, but still a solid pharmacy for personalized service. I wish the new owner success for many years to come.

In my experience here, youre better off doing business with Rite Aid up the street.The last 4 times Ive picked up here, theyve told me my prescription is ready and then when I arrive they fill the bottle. Then proceed to tell me they didnt have enough and that I have to come back for the rest. Or they didnt have it at all and I have to come back when they get more. Oh well its a popular prescription... Is not an adequate answer to telling me a scrip is ready when it damn well isnt.The pharmacist is plain rude and unprofessional. Avoid at all cost.

This is a neighborhood compounding pharmacy. While not being a link in one of the pharmacy chain stores, staff does a super job. They are currently providing a CV-19 vaccine clinic in the afternoon (Friday I was there).Ive trusted this pharmacy for many years and they have ALWAYS gone out of their way to help fix insurance approvals and refills from doctors.Morro Bay is beautiful and I appreciate the small town friendly atmosphere every trip I make from north county for prescriptions.

The pharmacist and I am guessing the owner is extreamly rude and dismissive. I tried to come here to support small business, but after the way he talked to me I will take all future business I have to rite aid. Now after reading some of the other review it seems like Im not the only person to share this experiance. Humm.....

Wow what a great place. My wife and I are over here for a few days. Went to the chain drug store, zero help. Walked into this store and the pharmacist and the store clerk both came over. I asked what was good for sunburn. The pharmacist asked a few questions about what happened. I told him we got out too long and no one was hurting yet but we knew we were sun burned. So he walked out over to a shelf and asked the clerk where a certain product was. She said they sold the last one on the shelf but went in back and got more. I received fantastic and quick service. If I lived here this would definitely be my go-to place.

At Morro Bay Drug & Gift they make you feel like you are there top priority when you walk through the door they know your name and say hi using your name! They always go the extra mile to help you get what you need at the best price. This is the best small town pharmacy and are better than any of the big name pharmacy’s hands down. I travel from just north of Cambria to Morro Bay to get all of my prescriptions and it’s worth every mile and minute, because it like being helped by family! My family has been going to this pharmacy since it opened. We actually followed John from Cambria. Best pharmacy in the area hands down. Due to my insurance before, I used to have to go to a corporate chain and am so happy my new insurance didnt require that so I could go here. The level of service found here just cant be beat!

Filled my script fast and had all my insurance info right the first time. Very friendly pharmacist.

Great customer service. Love the small town feel. You walk in and everyone knows you. Never any long lines like other pharmacys in the area. Highly recommend.

Nice people and good service. They appreciate your busy. I left Cayucos pharmacy as they DID NOT WANT my business. I wanted to change anyways. They are quiet snooty in Cayucos Pharmacy.😭 I am glad I made the change.😂😀

We are always treated as if we were the only customer in the store. They go above and beyond to make sure we have the best experience and advise us about the drugs we are prescribed. The pharmacist REFUSED to fill my prescription!My pharmacy transferred my prescription because of this Contra Vitus and they refused to fill it! I have gotten prescriptions from them for years! I will NEVER be back!Extremely disappointing 💔that they do not care about my health!

I love the hospitality. The owners are wonderful as is everyone working there.If you need to have your doctors office called or any other situations they are up for the task I highly recommend this pharmacy

I began using Morro Bay Drug & Gift when they first opened up. They always provided me with the highest quality service. The owner, John, used to work as one of the pharmacists, & he really made me feel like I was not just another nameless face walking through the door. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxed. The music is never obnoxious or too loud if you find yourself having to wait. They have no problem running out to the curb and flag you down if you prefer to wait in the comfort of your car, just ask! Now that is truely a level of service you won’t find at most stores! They know you have a choice when it comes to pharmacies, and really go that extra mile to earn your business and stand out from crowd. The whole experience has that special personalized hometown feel to it. The employee’s always take the time to learn their customers name and their typical needs as time goes on. John even proactively worked on getting certain prescriptions covered for me that my insurance had no intention of paying for. He actually did this several times over the years. What really shocked me is that they actually were able to beat the big brand name pharmacies on cash pay prices when insurance wouldnt work! I told my family about how great this particular pharmacy is and many of them made the switch and couldnt be happier. The 5 star rating I gave for this review was a no-brainer. If you prefer the cold, annonymous, mechanical, detached experience that many have come to expect from the major corporate pharmacies, then by all means, stick with them. But if you prefer a warm, friendly, personalized, hometown, first name basis feeling then Morro Bay Drug & Gift is your store. Give them a chance, you wont regret it 😉
