Stunning cars at great prices. The owner clearly vets the cars well before he accepts them to sell. I think he only does consignment but he only takes on the best examples.
John Vogt is the best and brightest when it comes to anything Porsche related. He knows all the other major brands too, but Porsche is my passion and its definitely his specialty too. I have boughten 3 911s from him and they are all running strong still.
John has been a family friend for decades now. Everyone in Mendham has nothing but great things to say about him. He is the life of the party and such a great guy. I never had an opportunity to leave him a review, until today. I bought a car from him finally! Thank you for everything John!
I came in here to browse and even though I didnt buy anything, the guy at the showroom was beyond polite and courteous. I learned a lot from him too. Once he has my dream car in stock, I will be back.
Highly highly recommend. The premier place to go to buy a pre-owned rare exotic.
John is a true expert. I am moving and decided to my three beloved Porsches and he sold them all within a week. It was remarkable. The guy IS the pre-owned Porsche 911 industry for North NJ.
I met the owner here through a PCA event and the guy is a genius when it comes to Porsches. And an incredible driver too. Hes a big deal in our community, I recommend him 110%.
No auction cars here. Just perfectly maintained examples of rare sports cars. You could go to bringatrailer and roll the dice, or you could go here and know you are getting something that was only brought in because John Vogt the owner made sure it was near flawless.
I came in here last week to look and although I didnt buy anything, the owner was so nice anyways. I was straight forward and just said I was looking, but he was friendly anyways. Once I find exactly what i want, I am making sure I come here to buy it.
John sold me a Porsche 997 C4S and it was an absolute delight to work with him. I love the car so much. It was pristine inside and out.
My Ferrari is running strong a decade later that I bought from High Marques. Its a bit overdue, but thank you!
High Marques is absolutely the place when it comes to the best of pre-owned luxury cars! John Vogt is a the best example of a car guy! He is amazingly knowledgeable and helpful.
I had a very good experience with High Marques Inc.They were forthright in explaining both the condition and history of my 1987 Porsche 930. John and Duncan are extremely informed in all their cars and with Johns 30+ years of ownership and racing experience, you are in good hands. The Porsche 930 that I purchased looked about as I expected (*there were a few minor things) after driving nearly 2 hours from PA. Our negotiations were smooth, cordial and we came to an agreement in relative short order. They was absolutely ZERO in the way of pushing me into a car I did not want and they are big on making sure the car you are looking for is a fit for you.Admittedly, upon arriving, John and Duncan alerted me to the front and rear trunk/hood that had been slightly askew from years of having those 1980s leatherette bras. Without a hitch, they said that they would correct these issues, as well as (*two paint free dents). Many dealers would have charged extra and they even found one body issue we all had missed - but they fixed her above and beyond expectation.Once paid in full, the car was immaculate upon delivery just a few days later (I had delayed the pick up date) and I drove her home without issue. The 4-speed G-50 turbo shifts like a dream, runs like a top, does not leak and operates even better than expected. The car passed through Pennsylvanias stringent safety inspection (all lights, brakes, wipers, etc must work) and did so without issue.I could have opted, given its year (32 years old makes the car a legal antique car), to not have the full inspection, but that could have limited the time and even hours I drive the car. Instead, and since I knew the car pretty well from both High Marques lengthy test drive (few dealers allow a 20 minute drive) along with the issue-free 2 hour drive home, a full inspection was performed. This 930 can now be driven not as an antique, but as if it were brand new without any limitations or restrictions.I will certainly be purchasing another car again from High Marques, the only real question is which one...Thank you John and Duncan.
I bought a Porsche here! I love it!
Super nice people and great cars.
Highly Recommend!!!Just purchased a Porsche Panamera from them. It was an out of state transaction that went very smooth, the car is excellent, and we are so happy with this purchase. Their cars are special, and you get that message from their glamorous showroom with its brick floor and chandeliers and of course the cars themselves. I would have preferred buying closer to home (we are in DC they are in North NJ) 4 hours away but their inventory and pricing was so far superior. The whole experience was great, they are knowledgeable, business oriented folks/car enthusiasts and very fair. Duncan gave me a lead for a loan that worked out very well. Dont hesitate if youre looking for something nice.
I bought two Porsche’s and a Ferrari from John, and they all ran really strong for many years. He is truly the best. He only buys cars in perfect condition. And he is very knowledgeable.
Extremely helpful and knowledgeably about cars! They only sell cars in perfect condition and their prices are more than reasonable! Working with them currently on buying my next car and I can not say enough nice things about them.
Nastiest person I have EVER spoken to in MY LIFE. I wouldnt refer this copany to my worst ENEMY.
Really cool cars they have for sale there. People can find the car of their dreams there. The dealership is also a landmark in Morristown for 30 years.
To many vintage cars, and they have lots of sport cars.
I have bought 4 cars from Jon and they are always perfectly maintained. He only buys perfect cars, so you never have to worry if it will break down a year later
By far the best purveyor of exotic cars in the area. I have bought a 911 c4s, three Ferraris and a db9 from Jon. All perfect condition and maintained. He only stocks the best. Dont go to Rob in Peapack! I learned the hard way. Pieces of junk.
I enjoyed my visit at High Marques, John and Duncan are very knowledgeable about their vehicles.
Best source of low mileage classic sports cars. And John Vogt is always super helpful.
This review is a response to the post left on Ripoff Report on 2/21/2016. Ill Include a link to that page at the end. Update, Google wont let me post URLs, so just do a search for High Marques on Ripoff Report, sit back, and relax. In a tight knit community, people typically talk and word naturally travels fast. In this case, I fully believe that the accusations made are 100% true and factual, as this is not the first, or second, or third time that an incident of this nature has occurred. The incident in question is that of a consumer who visited High Marques with the intention of buying a Porsche. To make a (very) long story short, the consumer was addressing questions and concerns anybody looking to buy a pre-owned automobile would have. It appears as though Mr. Vogt became restless by the customers questions and reacted with a display of blatant antisemitism.I am writing this because a close friend of mine from college had a very similar encounter, but one of anti-Italianism. Though he was able to brush it off, I cannot stand to see this type of conduct in todays day & age, and it infuriates me.I am very upset that this consumer who was interested in potentially purchasing a car was faced with the encounter referenced in the Ripoff Report link at the bottom of this page. The year is almost 2018, we should not live in a world where this happens - but futhermore, we should not live in a world where business owners like this one get away with what some would consider verbal assault, which I very much do at the very least.I can attest that this is not the first incident with Mr. Vogt. In the past, there have been countless portrayals of blatent racism, narcissism, defamation of other businesses and individuals, verbal abuse, deception, and vulgar and ill-mannered actions, amongst countless other things. Both in his establishment, as well as at public automotive related events. There have been countless customers who have had racial remarks made to their faces while in the establishment, my friend included, along with customers who have been decieved by information on a car, regarding its condition or history. In the Ripoff Report Mr. Vogt claims that the incident is untrue and that it was the doing of another local business. I find that VERY strange. Of all the rebuttals in the world, why would someone point fingers at a local business claiming that they are trying to defame you? What possible reason would there be for that? The sheer fact that they go out of their way to defame a local business alone (oddly enough, they fail to name this so called local business) is bad business. The sheer fact that there have been incidents of racism and deception is absolutely unaceptable, and its instances like these that give the auto business a bad reputation. It is my hope that in the future, the industry filters out these bad apples, and consumers can recieve the relaxed, friendly, and pleasurable experience that car buying was meant to have.If youre looking for a pre-owned car, spare yourselves the possibility of being verbally attacked. eBay and Autotrader are there for a reason.
Nice local dealer
I went to their place of business to test drive a GT3 Porsche (White) with 8k miles and a price tag of $82K. On the test drive I pointed out a vibration/shimmy in the steering wheel. I called back several weeks later to inquire if that had been resolved and the sales person played dumb, not recalling the incident or the issue. I asked if the car was going to be fixed and he said no, it will be sold as it. Yikes. Not a way to build trust.
Awesome staff
Great place
