If youre looking for a wedding dress - you need to book with Rachel. She is so incredibly friendly, so incredibly accommodating, and most importantly, helpful. I came in to look for a wedding dress by myself and did not intend to find my dress that day, but Rachel genuinely listened to what I was looking for and guided me towards the perfect dress. Also a huge pro - they let you look through the dresses yourself, which is exactly what I was looking for. I went back with my mom, sister, and future mother in law to buy the dress, and Rachel fit right in with all of us and gave us a wonderful experience. Even after buying my dress, Rachel continues to answer my questions over text message. Overall a fantastic experience with fantastic customer service from Rachel.

Rachel was beyond amazing in helping me find my dress. She listened to exactly what my vision was and picked out the perfect dresses for me to try on. The whole salon was beautiful and such a personalized experience, which is exactly what I was looking for. I loved my experience at Elizabeth Johns and found the staff to be a fun mixture of helpful and accommodating, grounded, kind and funny too! I live overseas and am very free in my planning, so I made my appointment on the same day of visiting back in the summer with no issues. I loved the ambiance of the place, with good lighting, the large mirrors and classy but comfy furnishings, which all contribute to the enjoyable experience (and good pics too!). The staff was great and made arrangements for my gown to be available when I would be next in town.I called again on the day I wanted to pick up my gown, and they pulled it right away. I had decided to get married in 3 days, and three staff members ran around the store to help me find my shoes, earrings and veil, just like in a movie. :) They even agreed to do alterations in less than 24 hours and recommended potential venues and hair and makeup on the fly! Super fabulous service! Thank you, Jenna and Rina!

Elizabeth Johns is absolutely amazing! I visited twice and changed what I was looking for the second time around. Dina was extremely welcoming and accommodating the minute I stepped in the door, and I knew I was in good hands! She tailored what she suggested to my wants/needs and I ultimately ended up buying my dress there! Dina and the rest of the staff were excellent to work with and I highly recommend Elizabeth Johns.

I purchased my bridesmaids dress from Elizabeth Johns via email back in November. I was told based on my height that I would need extra length (I’m 5’9”). Keep in mind, I’ve been in 5 weddings and have never needed extra length mostly because I don’t wear heels. I mentioned this back in Nov to Kelly and Rachel who I had exchanged emails with that I didn’t think extra length was necessary especially because I don’t wear heels. I have an email saying this. It’s also an additional $25 on a $275 dress. I reluctantly said OK after I was persuaded by both Kelly and Rachel to purchase the additional length. Flash forward to present day (March) and I go to pick it up and try on my dress at my home. As I had initially thought, it’s 6 inches too long!! I immediately called Elizabeth John’s and they told me there was nothing they could do and that I could bring the dress back in for $150 alteration. I sent Kelly and Rachel an email and Rachel called and left me a VM. I called her the next day and explained to her the issue. She told me the owner would be calling me. I still have not heard from her and based on some of these reviews, I don’t think I will be! Do NOT buy your dresses from here. Horrible customer service and trying to squeeze every last dime out of you. EJ staff - I’m getting married in July of next year and was considering your shop for my dress and bridesmaids dresses. I will be taking my business elsewhere that’s for sure. David’s Bridal had better customer service than this place.

My wife bought her wedding dress here. We loved the whole experience. We then suggested my sister purchase her wedding dress here as well. She did so, as well as her 13 bridesmaids. My wife was one of these bridesmaids. You can imagine the dollar amount of the wedding dress plus all those bridesmaids dresses. My wife picked out a belt to signify her “maid of honordom”. It was $200 for the belt. Later that afternoon she called to remove the belt from the order. We were treated with extremely rude service from that moment continuing months and months later until now. The belt was never canceled after all that business we brought the store. Tens of thousands of dollars. We are still furious with our treatment through the process.

I really enjoyed my experience with Elizabeth Johns. I worked with Patti for the purchase of my dress and Rina for alterations and both were lovely. Patti was incredibly accommodating and attentive and Rina was the best. She did wonderful customizations to my dress and made the experience wonderful.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I would give them 0 stars if I could on here. I went into the store to look for bridesmaids dresses with my sister and cousin. After that first visit, my sister ordered her MOH dress with my intentions on coming back to choose the remaining 7 bridesmaids dresses (the employee who helped us didnt know the dress we picked out was discontinued). Prior to my next visit, I emailed the employee about 6 dresses I wanted to see and try on in the store. When we arrived for our second visit, only 1 out of the 6 dresses were available in store that I drove there to see and try on!! The employee then advised that she would look into obtaining one of the remaining 5 dresses I originally requested to try on in the store. Now, over a week goes by trying to reach out to this employee regarding the additional dresses. She finally gets back to me and advises I would have to pay a fee almost the price of the dress in order to just try it on in the store!! At this point, I am so frustrated with the customer service here I no longer want to give them ANY of my business, however, they refuse to reimburse my sister for her dress even though the order should not have been placed. Almost 6 months have went by at this point and we have not heard anything nor any update regarding if my sister is going to receive the dress that she paid for (we purchased the same dress a month later from a different bridal store and my sister already has the dress!!!!) Not only did they have absolutely no dresses in the store and was the biggest waist of time, but I am not sure how this place is even still in business after seeing how they treat their customers!!!

My experience at Elizabeth Johns was fun from start to finish. This was the first shop I went to for wedding dresses and it didnt disappoint. They have a nice selection of dresses and a staff that really knows what they are doing. I worked with Tiffany, she is amazing and a pleasure to work with, she knew exactly what I was looking for, even though I hadnt realized it yet. There was no pressure to buy anything on the spot - I ended up coming back to see Tiffany and finally said yes to my dress!

I purchased my dress and a veil, over a year ago, with the intent to get married in May 2020. Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and we have now had to postpone the wedding two more times. Elizabeth Johns informed me this fall they can no longer hold onto the dress or veil, it will have to be held by me until I bring it back for alterations when the time comes.My now husband and I decided to tie the knot in a small ceremony in August, and we plan to hold the bigger, original wedding when permitted. I will wear my original dress purchased at Elizabeth Johns for that event.My now mother-in-law, who is near and dear to my heart, passed away one week ago from complications after open heart surgery. She was too ill to attend the small ceremony in which we got married in August, and will now never be able to see us walk down the aisle.I understand Covid-19 been a trying time for the entire world and affected each and every person, including many businesses. Im sure a lot of business has been lost or halted. But I am utterly appalled Elizabeth Johns refused to allow me to return my veil, when I explained to them how my mother-in-law just passed away, and its very important to me and my husband that I wear her veil from her wedding 46 years ago.The responses I received were well luckily your style veil is very popular, so you can probably sell it and unfortunately, we have a very strict no return policy. But to call this an extenuating circumstance would be an understatement. Policies have been tweaked and flexed before, and any store owner or manager has the capability to do so.It is frightening to see such lack of empathy or moral character. To say I am hurt can not even begin to describe. I have dedicated my career as a nurse at one of the largest hospitals in Chicago, on the front lines, caring for covid patients practically every single day. And I do it because Im a human and I care. I expected to see that level of care reciprocated when I provided Elizabeth Johns with this heartfelt explanation as to why I would like to return the veil and wear my mother-in-laws. Yet I was simply overlooked and dismissed, no ifs ands or buts.

She was great in helping me really decide what I want and ultimately helped me find the perfect dress. The entire store is beautiful with amazing lighting and the dress selection is great even for a lower budget. Elizabeth Johns was the second bridal shop I had been to in search for my dress, and upon minutes of being paired with Tiffany I knew it would be my last stop. I had an instant connection with her and truly felt heard by her in regards to what I envisioned for my special day. I cannot believe the incredibly rude encounter I just had with Melinda, the owner of this salon. In December, I ordered a very pricey ($450) flower girl dress for my daughter, which arrived in March for a May wedding. We went in for my daughters fitting on March 11th and paid $100 up front for alterations.A few days later the world shut down for coronavirus and my brother decided to postpone his wedding until August, so I immediately called EJ to try and stop the alterations on the dress, as I wanted to be sure the dress would still fit in August. After checking with the seamstress, the woman on the phone assured me the dress had not yet been touched and she would put a note on it to hold off until our next fitting, which we scheduled for July.Unfortunately, in June, my brothers wedding was officially canceled for good. I called EJ and asked if the dress could be returned since the alterations had not been done. They explained the strict no return policy, which I accepted, as I had signed it when I purchased the dress.I was in the area today, and finally had some time to pick up the dress. When I went in, I explained to the women at the desk that I understand there are no refunds on the dress, but asked if it would be possible to refund the alteration fee of $100 since the work hadnt been done.When the woman brought the dress upstairs for me, she apologized and let me know that the alterations had, in fact, already been done, so she didnt think she could refund the cost. Once again, I explained that I had called a week after our appointment in March and was told they were not yet done and was assured that they would hold off until the next fitting. The woman called the seamstress who said no one ever told her not the alter the dress. They asked her when she did the work and she couldnt remember. Once again, I calmly explained my situation, so the women up front called the owner, Melinda, to come upstairs. This is where the experience turned sour.Melinda came up and said, with obvious intent to argue, I understand you have an issue. I explained the situation and Melinda rudely responded, Well, the works been done so what do you want me to do about it? Again, I let her know that I had called and was told the work had not been done and had asked to stop it. Melinda asked who I spoke to and I wasnt sure of her name. So she condescended to me, saying, So, you dont know who you spoke to? It couldnt have been that important if you didnt get a name. I wouldve asked for a name and a confirmation email if something was important to me. I was taken aback and said, Im sorry. Im not lying to you about this. I just trusted your people to actually do their job. Im not sure why this is such an issue. I am not arguing about not being able to return the dress. But now Im stuck with a $450 dress with a $100 alteration fee that my daughter isnt even going to wear. She looked at me coldly and responded, So? I have women who have spent thousands of dollars in here and I cant help them either. I stayed calm and said, As the owner of a business myself, I know everyone is losing money right now. Things are tough. But this is not the way to keep customers. I think you should be working with me on an acceptable resolution. She said, Im not going to engage in this anymore. We will give you back the $100. I thanked her and she started to go back downstairs, then turned back and said, What business do you own? I then told her the name. She asked me to repeat it and then snidely remarked, Ok, Ill remember that...because Im going to go write it down.Well, Melinda, I hope you enjoy this review. Im going to be sure to write it down in as many places as possible, in the hopes that others will be forewarned of the rude and nasty owner they will deal with if they have any issues at all with their experience at your salon.

My experience at Elizabeth John was horrible and I will never go back. First my consultant, was brand new (only 2 months) and she did not listen to me. I described the type of dress I was looking for and twice she brought styles that were the total opposite. Why I’m not sure. Secondly she says to me these are the type of dresses that “our clientele” wants. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?? Am I not your clientele? Maybe not because I’m black or a size 12. I’m only giving 1 star because I’m forced to in order to leave a review.Don’t bother going here. Go to SENG COUTURE.

My mom and I had such an amazing experience at Elizabeth Johns with Haley. The boutique is beautiful, and the selection of gowns was great. Each bride to be gets her own room which makes for a much more relaxed and personal experience. The tailor on site was also extremely knowledgeable and willing to work with us to make the dress perfect. I would definitely recommend Elizabeth John to anyone looking for a special dress shopping experience.

I’ve never given a rating to any business before but I feel so unbelievably disappointed in my experience with Elizabeth johns that I felt it necessary to share.At first it was a nice store and the staff were pleasant. I decided to have my bridesmaids get their dresses there because I liked the store and they said they would be able to ship the dresses to my bridesmaids houses since all of them live far away. Four months go by and only now when the dresses arrive do they inform me that there is an additional $25 charge per dress for the shipping. I found this to be problematic- they knew we wanted the dresses shipped from the beginning so why not be upfront about the charge? I had been to the store 4 times with my bridesmaids and never had this been mentioned or explained by the staff, and had it been explained we may have looked elsewhere.Additionally, I took my mom there to look for her dress for the wedding before my experience was negative. She fell in love with a dress and left the store to price it out at other stores. Turns out the dress had already been discontinued by the designer and is no longer being made. It is poor business to have products on the rack that are unavailable. The sales rep had no idea the dress was discontinued.All in all, these events tell me there is poor management, communication within the store, and communication between the store and it’s customers. And lastly when I expressed my dissatisfaction, the manager Keara was extremely rude and apathetic.I would not recommend this store to anyone.

I recently visited Elizabeth Johns with my mother for my first time bridal dress shopping. We both had such a pleasant experience and I owe it all to Deborah who assisted me that day. She was kind, patient, professional, knowledgeable, and caring in all the ways you would want someone who is helping you pick out your wedding dress to be. She gave me solid and sound advice while I tried on dress after dress and kept reminding me not to settle for the dresses I was hesitant about, to try different styles, and keep an open mind. I truly appreciate her for that. Absolutely consider coming to Elizabeth Johns and request that Deborah help you. She will take care of you. Aside from working with Deborah, the store is a nice size, it is decorated beautifully, the fitting room is spacious and comfortable, and the sample dresses are kept in impeccable condition. As soon as we walked into Elizabeth Johns, I knew that it would be a special experience. We were immediately welcomed, and even noticed that they had personalized a welcome sign with my name next to complimentary treats. Our bridal consultant Dina warmly introduced herself right away, and while she finished her last appointment we were able to browse the entire store to start gathering ideas. Every single dress was more beautiful than the last. Once we sat down, Dina really took the time to get to know me and what my style was. You could tell right away that she was polished and knew exactly what she was doing. She gathered a few gowns to try on, including some that we had selected and others that she thought would be a good fit. After trying on a few, she listened to my feedback and made additional selections to fit my criteria— she was patient, thoughtful and also has a great eye. After narrowing down the selections, I actually found “THE ONE”! I was hoping to get that special excited feeling, but had been feeling discouraged after visiting several other bridal shops. This experience changed everything. After saying “yes to the dress”, Dina brought out celebratory champagne and we toasted the exciting news. I truly felt so special. After finalizing the dress details (I was able to customize as I wanted), Dina also helped me pick out the perfect accessories to finish the look, including custom earrings. As icing on the cake, I mentioned the bridesmaid color and material that I was interested in, and within minutes the bridesmaid specialist Madison had come down with a few samples that matched my description perfectly. We can’t wait to go back for bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses. We cannot say enough good things about our overall experience at Elizabeth Johns— it is everything that wedding dress shopping should be: personal, fun, professional, exciting, and more. I am thrilled to be a part of the EJ family!

I went to this store with 2 of my bridesmaids to try on bridesmaid dresses because they weren’t sure what style they wanted. My bridesmaids wanted to think about what style they wanted, so they didn’t want to buy it immediately. The consultant refused to measure them unless they paid $25. She said this was policy. Since one of my bridesmaids lives far away, we were able to convince the consultant to measure her, but she hid the measurements from us, so we wouldn’t know her size! Extremely greedy! If you want people’s business, give better discounts/prices. You are not going to get more business through greedy policies. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I’ve been there before, and they measured me without forcing me to buy on the spot. They also have a good dress selection.

The day I tried on wedding dresses on at EJ bridal was everything I had dreamed of. The staff was so helpful and polite and listened to everything that I had in mind that I wanted in a dress. My coordinator is actually the person who picked my dream dress and am forever thankful. Once I said yes o the dress we were greeted with champagne to celebrate! Just purchased my wedding dress at Elizabeth Johns in Morristown over the weekend. The team was so professional and made the experience so easy!In the 1.5 hour appointment, we tried on 8 dresses, working with our consultant, Carmella. She was great! We also had other consultants come over so we could ask designers about potential alterations, and everyone got back to us so quickly.Before the appointment, EJ communicated with me to see what styles I might be interested in, and only pulled dresses that were within my predetermined budget.Overall, extremely positive experience - we purchased my dress at the first appointment! Definitely recommend to any bride.

Please dO NOT go to this store to purchase a gown for the special day.. I am the MOB...to begin with the sales rep did not seem to be able to coordinate my style that i spoke with her about...showing examples...to the gowns she showed me..I requested plain and simple..she brought me sparkly and gaudy..it took approximately 4 months to receive the gown..later while perusing on line... I found the same gown that could be delivered within the week..My coordinator guided me...based on my measurements..saying I was between a large and extra large..so we decided on the extra large so alterations could be done...simple i thought....When the dress was delivered to the store..my daughter and I came to try on...the dress was HUGE..it was literally falling off my shoulders...later after looking on line for the same after 6 gown. The size I was given was a size 22..I am a size 14-16.. my daughter spoke with the ladies at front desk letting them know my dress was falling off me and that the gown says X not xtra large. .. After my daughter spoke with women at front desk..neither one of them got up from their chair to come look and either give suggestions or get someone to help me with the issue... when I came out of dressing room and spoke with them..they offered their seamstress or an independent one they use....I opted on the independent as their price was better...well now after a 3rd fitting and 2 weeks away from wedding the seamstress is having difficulty in getting the sleeves to fit properly...and that is due to the amount of altering that SHOULD be done but CANNOT be ...the size of dress was so big to make it my size is difficult ...the sleeves will need to be a little gathered at top...which looks awful...I wish I hadnt signed the release dress form...I do not sew and did not realize there would be this difficulty...I wish someone would have gotten off their butt to come take a look and guide me when I asked for help...Thank God my daughter got her wedding gown elsewhere... please go elsewhere for gowns...somewhere that they care...

EXCEPTIONAL COMMITMENT TO MAKING THEIR BRIDES HAPPY. I wish I could give 6 stars. We traveled here from the shore area to try and find a less “jersey” bridal boutique and their selection was exquisite. Their store manager Kiera worked tirelessly with my mom and me over two appointments to make sure that I was thrilled with my wedding dress. Driving away today I could not be happier with my experience— or my beautiful and under budget gown! So grateful for this place and their going above and beyond for me.They let you walk the racks and pull things that you would like to try on, but if you’re like me that can leave you easily overwhelmed. Be upfront with your consultant about what vibes/elements you like and dislike in dresses and she will steer you straight!

I am genuinely surprised to see any negative reviews as I truly had the best experience at Elizabeth Johns! I had shopped for my bridal gown at 5 other stores and was becoming extremely frustrated and very low in confidence. I was so down on myself that I almost cancelled my appt at Elizabeth Johns but figured I had nothing to lose. Dina, my consultant, called me two days before my appt to take the time to get to know me, and my wedding vision and what I would be comfortable in both style and price wise. No other store did that. When my mom and I arrived at the store on Sunday, we basically had the place to ourselves and Dina was fantastic. She had already pulled some styles she thought I would be interested in (one was actually a top contender I saw at another salon!) and she pulled some additional styles based on my feedback. THE dress ended up being #2 but we kept trying on just to be safe. Dina even knew which dresses to skip over knowing it wouldnt compete or it wasnt right for my body type. Dina made me feel so comfortable and I genuinely trusted her opinion. We eventually went back to #2 and I had my bridal moment!! And it was in budget. Dina also helped me pick out a veil and hair piece. The whole Elizabeth Johns staff really turned around my whole bridal experience and I cant thank them enough.

I was not offered a beverage but the people before me had water. So I asked for someone else to help me. I didnt see anything I liked. Horrible. The worst service Ive ever had at a store. All of the bridesmaids dresses we ordered were ill fitting and three were stained and had rips and pulls all over them. They also charged us twice for alterations and refused to refund the second charge. I have never been so offended a store in my life.

I had the BEST experience at Elizabeth Johns Bridal yesterday! I have been to 2 other popular shops in the area and my experience yesterday surpassed both other places! This is my second wedding so I had a clear idea of what I wanted and didnt want for my dress. Jenna, my consultant, called a couple days prior to ask questions about the cut, style, etc so she could pull some dresses for me. She had an array of dresses waiting for me and they really hit the mark! She also asked for and stuck within my budget which is SO important! I think many people have given this shop bad reviews because they ask for your budget. In my opinion, thats grounds for a great review because another very popular Morristown shop put an over budget dress in my fitting room and didnt tell me the price until I tried it on and really really liked it. Thats not okay to do to a bride!! Elizabeth Johns is just all around fantastic!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, honest with dresses that work in your budget and discussion of alteration costs up front. Also, there is no limit to the number of dresses you can try on or a time frame for your appt. I wasnt rushed or pressured at all here. I cant say that about other bridal shops! Others only allow you a certain amount of time after making you wait for your appt. Ill just come right out and say if you are between going to I Do, I Do and here.... 100% go to EJs. You wont regret it at all! Fantastic experience and the most BEAUTIFUL gowns I hadnt seen at other shops! The place is also SUPER CLEAN and they have a vast array of bridesmaid and MOB dresses as well. 5 stars!! ⭐️

I am so grateful to Elizabeth Johns for helping me find the wedding dress of my dreams! After watching many episodes of Say Yes to the Dress and looking at pictures of gowns online, I decided to focus on Pronovias gowns. I thought the gowns by Pronovias were beautiful, elegant, and timeless. When I found out that Elizabeth Johns was having a Pronovias trunk sale I was thrilled to be able to possibly get a Pronovias gown at a lower price. When I arrived at the store with my entourage we were a bit early for my appointment. However, the staff allowed us to look around at the all of the dress while we waited. We did not have to wait long though because the manager of the store met us after only a few minutes, and began pulling dresses that I wanted to try on. She escorted myself and my party downstairs to the fitting rooms, and she began personally helping me try on the gowns. Once my consultant Deborah was available, we were brought upstairs to a dressing room to continue trying on gowns. To add to the fun, a representative from Pronovias was there at the salon. He brought in Pronovias gowns for me to try on that I never dreamed I would get to try. I knew I found my gown when I tried on my second dress. Deborah immediately got the veil and it sealed the deal. Going back for fittings, I worked with Rena and she was amazing in helping to get the dress fit just right. Everyone at Elizabeth Johns is so gracious, kind, and wonderful in truly making dreams come true by helping brides find the dress of their dreams. I am so grateful to them for helping me to feel the most beautiful I ever have on my wedding day!

Never go to this shop never never never. The staff is so rude and incompetent . They can not have a dress ready in less than 9 months. . And way overpriced!
