My first time buying with them. I bought a Fecon Mulching head from the online auction. There was no mention of missing parts / it was not labeled parts or not working. When It arrived at my house and I started to inspect the machine, I removed the shielding to find the machine completely stripped of all major parts including the hydraulic pump which is 4,500 alone. The hoses had been left and bagged so oil would not leak and to make it appear all parts were there. IT was missing 9,200.00 worth of parts and had that been listed it would not have brought the money it did. When I contacted Scott Mcgregor he offered 500 to make it right..what a joke! Last purchase every and advise anyone to stay clear from this company. Clearly this company is o.k. with shady business practices. Completely dishonest! If I could give them a zero rating I would!!

Be sure to make 110% sure your item is on the lot before you show up. Customer service booked my pickup at 11 am 8/4/20. When I arrive, after planning my day and driving 400miles to get here my item isnt here. Maybe it will show up today, maybe tomorrow. Horrible customer service. So make sure your item is here before you waste two days of your life like me.

Professional public auction house is what I thought they are, rather what they used to be years ago. Recent commission fees for buyers are rip off for items up to $5000 which is $500 no less.Another example is their financing division, applied for $16,5k of something, loan? credit line? God knows what was it (I found that out at the end) Finance guy called me all excited telling me that I was approved and my payment is $600 a month for 36 months. I asked him about the fees and he responded to me: title and registration plus their docs fee. I told him, I want to hear numbers and where this $600 a month comes from, so finally thats what I hear: Excellent credit yield me a whopping 8% interest rate, with $350 title fee (title in Illinois costs $95) and than $995 their doc preparation fee puts me at roughly $18k. Upon calculation based on 8% at 36 months the total borrowed amount would have to be $19k with the payment of $595. Do you see where Im going with this? Theres $1k missing somewhere, that is why they talk to you: oh, your monthly payment is only $600.I declined right of the bet, that was total rip off. Dont get sucked in by their 120 days no payments, it is 120 days of interest only payments not no payments first of all, second of all after all the fees they charge your interest rate will be more like 15%-20%.As other reviewers noticed this new wave of greed is astonishing. For those who are interested, SELLER COMMISSION is 15% however it may be negotiable for some but not for most.I heard (mid 2018) theres new CEO in the house, I wonder how long it will take to bring the house down 🙄 with this approach.

I bought something and paid online with a credit card. I accidentally paid twice due to their website not confirming that you paid which means you can pay as many times as you want and it will never show as paid. After 2+ months going back and forth to get payment back after they promised me in person the day I picked up what I bought that a check would be mailed that day, they finally credited my credit card back but charged me 3%. I should have disputed the charge. I usually never complain but for a company that large they made it hard to do business with them.

Avoid this location if possible. Sitting in like 2nd position for 15min just to get into the yard for pickup and they are doing nothing...not acceptable.

Purchased a small lift from here at last auction. Drove up next morning to pickup purchase (having never been here before). The two guys at the truck gate entrance were beyond helpful to a first timer. I made my way into the registration office. Took only minutes to get me on my way with paperwork in hand. Waited a couple minutes for their operator to finish loading a truck with multiple skid steers. He then grabbed my purchase and placed it on my trailer. I then found out that they were short handed for this particular auction. I would have never known as my experience here was beyond excellent. Well done RB! I deffinately look forward to future purchases!

Absolutely Fraudulent!I bought a dump truck recently on the Ritchie Bros simulcast. When I flew out to Morris IL. from Denver, CO. I found the truck very badly corroded and undrivable because all of the brake lines had dissolved.Absolutely no mention was made of this in the condition report. The truck is so badly corroded that the rocker panels and part of the floor under the cab are gone. A structural frame rail under the bed is completely rotted. None of this showed up in the photos. Unlike most Ritchie condition reports this truck had no photos of the underside. When I talked to the regional manager, he said that as an experienced Ritchie Buyer I should have known better, and that Ritchie never reports rust! This is pure naked fraud. Period.Absolute accuracy and honest are essential in a condition report for out of state simulcast buyers. Ritchie has been going steadily down hill for a few years now, and their declining volume, and closing auction sites is proof.Avoid buying on Ritchie Bros simulcast at all costs. If you attend a Ritchie auction in person, be very careful!!

Stay away from Morris, IL location. Those people are fraudulent. They damage your equipment, never inform you about it or take any actions to repair, if the sell falls apart they never report it to you. No options to fight it back. If you try to protect your interests they ban you and sell your equipment for dirt cheap.

Its 3 starts because the service is nice Friendly staff. However they seem to cheat on the weight. It said 3500lb when in reality it was over 12000 lb. Hope that it was an honest mistake. Because of this i had weight issues with the next load I was supposed to pick up. Not cool!

Sold a piece of equipment that didn’t say anything about it not operational then said it wasn’t their problem. Kinda hard to be a internet bidder with this kind of dishonesty. Remember they take close to 20% of the sale and lie about the product horrible place to conduct business.
