Review Date: June 13th, 2015If someone hit you in the face with coffee beans, if the attempt to wake you up… would that be a Brewed Awakening? Honestly, I would be happy to wake up to coffee! Brewed Awakenings has your standard fair when it comes to coffee selection and that is just fine. I don’t recall what I had there, but everyone I was with enjoyed what they got. If you are in a hurry and need your coffee in a hurry, they have a convenient drive-thru for you!

I love this place! They have my favorite coffee in town, and they have the best baristas. They never fail at making good coffee and putting a smile on my face! I recommend getting the Carmel frappe! 10/10

I stopped by since I was in town on business and I was very pleased with my visit. They had five different coffees available which is more than Im used to seeing. The workers were very knowledgeable in which led to a difficult choice being made. I am very happy with the suggestion they gave me and the price was very reasonable considering this is a high quality cup of coffee. I will definitely stop by this place again the next time Im in town.

The kids working here are nice. The coffee was weak, the flavor yuck. Also, am I the only one that doesn’t get the theme of this place at all? Like, spiritual awakening, but their icon is a cartoon detective? So the detective is drinking coffee so he can cause… rude awakenings? Idk honestly it’s not my vibe at all I thought the place was pretty weird lol

I love this place, and I just found it! I love trying all things coffee and Ive been pleased with the 3 drinks Ive had already! Just moves to the area and this is my first stop on the way to shopping! Love the little details they add to the drinks like coffee beans and whipped cream straws! So far the customer service has been great from the drive thru window, and super quick! Cant wait to try everything on the menu!

Great coffee and even better staff. They will make you any drink you can think of, although I highly suggest trying the barista’s recommendations. Four stars only because there are too many choices which could get overwhelming for some.

Amazing coffee stop with too many options for just one visit, we will definitely be back. Easy access in and out with plenty of parking. Also have a drive through if needed, but be sure to come inside and chat with the friendly staff. Orange Goblin was yummy, thanks!

I stopped in at the middle of a long bike ride from Starved Rock to Joliet, so I was pretty tired and in need of caffeine. I noticed right away that the atmosphere was fun and unique. The staff were tremendously inviting and fun to talk to. The espresso shot I ordered was rich and complex, not too bitter but well-balanced. This was EXACTLY what I needed and hoped for in the middle of my bike ride! Whenever I’m back in Morris, I’ll be coming back here!

This is our go to coffee shop when we come to visit in Morris, Illinois. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The choices of coffee and tea are really good. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered the boss which is an espresso mocha with butterscotch and it was excellent. Loved the cute little touch they added on top of the cup topper - chocolate covered espresso bean. Fabulous little coffee shop.

Best coffee in Morris

Wonderful staff, very friendly. I went in and asked if the could make a flavor that was similar to a competitors flavor and they made 2 different coffees for me to taste until they had the flavor right. Its was very good! Also love the chocolate cover coffee bean they put on your drinks. Nice touch!

We love this coffee shop! Friendly service, they remember what your normal order is, point of origin coffee, a new special roast every week and the price is right. Oh, the chai tea is so delicious. Great place to meet friends, sit and talk. ☕️

I love supporting local but the coffee taste burnt. Maybe it was an off day, maybe their coffee isnt good...

I had six hours to kill and they were fabulous. I tried quite a few drinks particularly fond of their specials and smoothies and the customer service was wonderful. I was able to sit comfortably and work without any issues really appreciate the hospitality.

Wonderful Coffee!

I highly recommend this place! My boyfriend and I drive 25 minutes every sunday for this coffee shop. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and have enjoyed everything, from the muffins to the smoothies.

Fantastic selection of all hot and cold coffee options in general, but this place has the most sugar free options of ANY coffee shop around! (and they taste amazing) Blows Starbucks away by a land slide! Consistently great friendly service ANY time you stop in there. Wonderful selection of coffee ware, take home coffee beans, and home made goodies. They also have an efficient drive up service in addition to the cozy atmosphere inside. Wonderful place!

Whenever I come to visit I have to go to this place. I havent had anything that I didnt like! I highly recommended getting The Boss (hot). They also have coconut milk as an option. My kiddo also just discovered their cold-hot chocolate. He said it was the best thing he had in awhile. He has also tried a fruit smoothie and he didnt like it, but I did. Everyone has different tastes so just go and give this place a try!

I was so glad I could get my choice of milk substitutes there as I do not drink cows milk or cream. My latte was very good and also had a nutritious bar that was available.

I wanted to support this place and support them over Starbucks. I got there this morning and watched from the line as the same pair of gloves appeared over and over again. I thought maybe they were switching them out so I asked if they were when I got to the front of the line at the window. The owner got in the window and yelled at me for even asking. In a time like this, businesses that are still open that handle food should not cross-contaminate by not changing out their gloves. Imagine this: they’re transferring germs from cup to cup to straw to food product all the way down the line throughout the day. By the end of the day, the last customers are being exposed to germs and bacteria from every previous customer when the gloves aren’t changed out. Not wearing gloves and washing their hands in between each order would be more sanitary than their current practices.From on business owner to another, please please do your research in order to best protect your customer base.

What an experience. I went in not knowing what to experience. The prices were perfect. Less than the chain stores and the hospitality is amazing. Todd and his wife is very pleasant and funny. I will be back. Pretty confident I found a new found coffee home.

Omg one of the guys I work with has turned me on to this place they have a mocha latte that is out of this world and there dark roast coffee is very good also. Was not what I had expected but I am so glad that they talked me into getting a mocha latte at work from Brewed Awakenings it made my morning the rest of my day went very well. Coffee is a special roaster from Oregon where they make the best coffee. The owner trains his workers to know the exact science of coffee. Walter White style. Better than Intelligentsia or Metropolitan coffee beans in the city of Chicago.Tell them Todd kayak guy sent you!

Great curb appeal conveniently located next to Subway and Verizon northbound/southbound on Division street in quaint Morris, Illinois. No matter what my day entails, I make it a priority to stop in and grab a fresh bagel and an any size cup of coffee - hot, cold OR blended. The staff really treats you like family. Brewed Awakenings is a wonderful addition to Morris. The staff is friendly and courteous, precise in their order fulfillment. The coffee is excellent as well, whether you like dark or lighter roasts, hot or cold drinks. Milk alternatives are offered.

Long time favorite of mine and for a long time was the only coffeehouse in Morris. Better coffee than the big guys and wholly owned and operated by local residents. There’s no reason to go anywhere else!

I stopped for the first time on New Years Eve on the way to my sisters and the coffee was so GREAT that I made sure to stop New Years Day as well on my way back home! Friendly advice and desciptions of their specialty Lattes. Loved the drive-up aspect the next day since we knew what we wanted to order! I will definitely be stopping each time I need to go through Morris!

Everything I tried is delicious, coffees & teas. They anticipate personalized orders. Service through the drive thru is very quick.

Very nice shop and very clean with a friendly staff, but the coffee was just horrible. Had an iced latte and a nitro cold brew that both tasted heavily of chemicals. Didnt order any syrup or sweeteners in either, so cheap flavoring isnt the issue. Neither tasted like coffee. Im a coffee fanatic... Grind and brew in all forms from drip to pour over to cold brew to aero press to you name it. I love coffee in all its forms, so when I say this is the worst cup of coffee Ive had in long time, I mean it. Ive had better cups of coffee from a gas station. Threw both drinks out almost immediately and went looking elsewhere.

Top-notch (my wife says, stellar) coffee. They sold raw vegan bars. My wife asked about ingredients because our kids have allergies. At this they broke out a menu binder and began to recite ingredients with the precision of a Levitical Priest. It was impressive.We bought several 3x3 square bars (affordable and grubbin). In addition we got a couple of breves. They were very good.The owner was there overseeing the operation. He interacted with us, was friendly and talked about his business. Good guy.In my view this the perfect am cup of coffee place: fast service, good brew, friendly people, and tasty snacks.(We frequently drive around the country, refusing to buy coffee at chains while searching for locally-owned, hardworking, small businesses who are chasing their dreams and making good coffee.)

I stop here at least 3 times a week. Love the frozen espresso drinks, specifically the warrior granita. This place has more options and in my opinion is way better then Starbucks.

Definitely the best coffee in town and arguably the surrounding area. Dunkin is a close second but Brewed has better coffee. The Carmel Macchiato is a fave of mine. Also the service is great. Always fast. Theyre pretty personable as well. Very good at recommending a coffee youll like. You can go in for a quick drink or buy a bag of coffee for home. They have shirts, cups, and they serve a small variety of breakfast foods as well. They also have free wifi so if youre looking for a spot to sit and get some work done its a great place for that as well. Would recommend to anyone. 5 stars.
