If you hear poor rumours about purple monkey, i am here to assure you they simply are so untrue.I made an amazing choice coming here to get some tattoos done. I had Josh as my tattoo artist (book him- he’s amazing). Staff is like family there. They offered me a ride home because i felt sick. I feel the best vibes from this place and shoutout to the staff for being so understanding and compassionate. I wouldn’t be leaving this review if i didn’t think Purple Monkey deserved it. Hell, i think this is my first time ever leaving a review somewhere. Anyways, they went above and beyond and definetly earned 5 star rating. Will be returning and I advice you to as well 😊

I went to the Purple Monkey for a very simple tattoo on April 29, 2021. The pictures below were taken on June 7, 2021. This tattoo was done very poorly and it has since then scarred. I followed all the recommended post care procedures. This was a very simple tattoo, but the execution was failed. He is a very new artist, and is using a rotary machine when I believe he should be using a coil machine as he is so new. The artist I saw is Philip. He was a very nice guy, listened to what I wanted, just wasnt able to execute this tattoo. I now have to find a shop that can figure out what I can do with this tattoo, whether it can be cleaned up or if I should get it covered.

I enjoyed getting my tattoo here about a year ago, I had them recreate a picture my daughter drew. And there hasnt been a day I dont love it. I was a walk in and was helped right away. I thought the pricing was reasonable as well.

I got a facial dermal by the eye, I’ve seen/heard many names for what I got so I’m just going to call it that haha. But, I had some complications with coming in on days piercers weren’t in and I had other things to do later which really isn’t the shops fault, but they still gave me a discount they truly didn’t need to give, so I still tipped $20 & I did that because Eric and everyone else was very friendly. Also, Eric was also very professional and clean and was also informative. Would recommend highly!

Sammi was wonderful. She listened attentively to what I wanted and helped brainstorm and try out different things until it was just right and I was happy with what I was getting. She was very professional and clear on what was going on and how things would proceed and was then very efficient in her work doing a superb job in a reasonably quick amount of time. I am very satisfied and will definitely be going back to her specifically for future work. Highly recommended.

I had an appointment for 5pm for a piercing, got there on time, but still had to wait until 6 to be seen. Very few people wearing masks. But I like my piercing and its been two weeks with no issues, so thats good!

I wated a tattoo party for my birthday and gave such short notice to purple monkey and they took care of me and everyone at my party. we all were happy and satisfied with the service we received. thanks purple monkey for going above and beyond for me on my birthday!!!

Best place around for a tattoo, very affordable and the owner Eric is one of the nicest guys youll ever work with. He really cares about your tattoo as much as you do and they are much less expensive then any other shop in the area (Ive been to most) what youd pay 450 at another shop youll pay 200 here with the same if not better quality which they stand behind. Shout out to Sam Agonis!! She did an AMAZING job with my cherry blossom/butterfly tattoo on my shoulder. She is truly a talented artist and executes her work with precision but also with an awareness and sensitivity to her client’s comfort level. The atmosphere and staff are also professional and welcoming.

I never even got anything pierced or well in my case a jewelry change. I had called the parlor at 7:18pm. They said to come in an hour and a half to 2 hours because the piercer was working on a tattoo. Which would put me at around 9pm. I go in there at 9:10pm and they tell me their closed. If you look online it says 10pm they closed at. They were very rude and unprofessional when I had gone in. They were talking in the back (not very quietly I could hear everything they were saying) to give me some bs excuse on why they couldn’t take me. I needed my nose ring change and they had told me to come in around this time and would be able to change it. Keep in mind before they told me to come in that time, they had told me they weren’t able to do any piercings which require taking off the mask. They had called me back to tell me they actually can change my nose piercing and to come back an hour and half to 2 hours. They never changed my nose ring, never apologized for them saying for me to come in around this time which I did and still didn’t take my jewelry exchange. For some people who can’t even get timing right or when to tell customers to come in, not really sure if I’d want them around my face or piercing anything on me.

Bill did my daughters naval piercing. He did a great job very professional, took his time double and triple checked for the perfect position. Very clean and sanitary. Also very thorough and explained everything.Definitely will be coming back to see him for any future piercings.

Not only does my tattoo look AMAZING but Eric was so friendly, very professional and his crew really seemed like great ppl. This place is top notch. Clean, organized, professional, and the staff is so friendly the second you walk in the door. I drove an hour to have my 7 year old daughters ears pierced here. So worth it. Scott was very nice, wore his famous unicorn headband, played a kids movie, and had perfect placement. I am so happy. I also love that he will only use titanium earrings, which prevent irritation and infection. I am a nurse so when I called ahead, you had me at titanium earrings (along with the great reviews). Miss Kylie loves her sparkly ears. Thank you so much!!

Second tattoo at the purple monkey. Went there with my girlfriends and we all got a little something piercings and tattoos. Scott did a awesome job at piercing all three of our ears (cartilage ). He was very nice and very professional. Scott even stayed a little later to make my birthday experience awesome.. Sam, is new to the purple monkey . Sam had done an awesome tattoo of a lotus and semicolon on my girlfriend and also did two written tattoos on my arm. She took her time to make sure that my tattoo was straight on my forearms. Sam stayed very late to finish. She did great job. Thank you both.

I got a rib cage tattoo done. It was a medium sized piece. And my first piece in such a sensitive area. Im also quite modest so getting one in that area was a huge deal to me. Sammi not only went above and beyond designing a beautiful work of art, but she also made me feel welcome and comfortable and from start to finish it was my best ever tattoo experience. All of the staff is super welcoming and non judgmental too. Best experience and I will be back soon ❤❤❤

The atmosphere is terrific and so comforting. Everything is completely sanitized and the staff is amazing. I got my septum done last Wednesday by Scott and Ive never been happier with a new piercing. He explained everything so clearly and calmed my anxiety. Ill be back soon!!

I absolutely love the piercer. I got a Monroe awhile back and had to take it out for a little bit. I could not get it back in and when there to get it pierced again. It actually was never closed and only charged me for the jewelry. Has tons of knowledge to share as well.

This is the cleanest and most comfortable place to get a tattoo within a 30-mile radius. The entire staff is outstanding and friendly. I have to recommend Doc, although I assume all the artists here are the best of the best.Doc is a 30-year artist and performs miracles when it comes to ink. Its a big decision to get a tattoo and an even bigger decision as to where to get it done. I am a local guide and for the first time of reviewing businesses in an honest and true manner, I would give them 10 stars if I could. Heed my advice and do to Purple Monkey! Purple monkey is by far my favorite tattoo shop! Everyone is always so nice and I always feel welcome. Eric has just finished the 2nd tattoo he has done on me and I don’t believe I’ll go anywhere else. Each time I came in, I showed him a picture of what I wanted and both times he completely went above and beyond! There’s so much detail and I cannot express how pleased I am with both tattoos. I went to get my septum pierced about three months ago. I have a fear of needles but the piercer just talked me through the process, helped me to feel as comfortable as possible, and he was very friendly. Everything was clean and the environment was safe and inviting. Will definitely be going back for my next piercings.

Ben was super awesome to us last night. Our dog unexpectedly passed and we wanted tattoos to cope with the pain. He stayed open and kept us laughing the whole time to accommodate our needs. His lettering is amazing to boot 😉

My friend got a two word tattoo and it was completely crooked and messed up halfway through the saying. Don’t understand how an “experienced” tattoo artist can do that and think it’s ok. Do not go here!!! Every one I’ve known who has gone here has only told me bad things about them! Please do not go here and waste your money!

Great customer service, friendly environment, and it has a very clean and welcoming feel to it.I took my daughter to get her ears pierced, and Scott did a great job with her. Not just the piercing itself, but also keeping her calm (she is 7) and making it a fun experience.He put on a tail and unicorn horn and tried to keep her smiling and distracted, since she was a little nervous.Overall a wonderful place. My husband brought my 7 yr old daughter there for her ear piercings. He said the guy doing her ears was very careful and took his time with what he was doing. He even went as far as being so awesome for her that he wore a unicorn horn and tale to make her feel more comfortable. Yet, she already was! She thought the place was so cool!! Not too happy. Saw Sammy. Gave a simple photo with measurements. This is what I got. They also need to clean up the store, mop the floors. I do not like to give yucky reviews but this is a must. This was suppose to match my 2 daughters and mine does not.

Eric, the owner, is very skilled and a pretty cool dude. He got my very large somoan tattoo done in about 8 hours, costing $750. The place is very clean and well air conditioned. Eric tends to be about 15 minutes late, but its not his fault, he is taking care of animal shelter dogs and one is so old it cant hear him calling, so he has to search the pasture.

They were amazing!!!!! Scott was just down right awesome!!!!! He walked me through what was going to happen and what he was going to do. He was super helpful with explaing the after care steps. He was super supportive as well. which made me feel better about the whole experience since I was freaking out. Just the staff in general were just super kind and passionate about what they do. You could tell they really care about their customers and getting the job done right and the best they can. Scott and the other staff I have gotten services from are very knowledgeable in their profession and really take pride in their work. Overall Purple Monkey is a kickass place to get piercings or tattoos done!!!!!

Brought my 9yr old daughter in to get her ears pierced. Did not want to go the Clairs or Piercing Pagoda, it is very traumatic & painful at those locations. I apologize for not remembering their names, but the lady at the desk & the gentleman that did the piercing....thank you so very much for making this such a calm, pain free, experience for my daughter. She was extremely nervous but they did everything to make this lifelong experience truly precious, amazing, & pain free. I got a dermal piercing here. Scott was amazing, made me feel super comfortable and was really professional. He explained the piercing to me and made sure I knew how to take care of it afterwards. I had my nose pierced here last month. Steve did a great job!! He was friendly and walked me through every step. Highly recommend anyone who wants a piercing to head to The Purple Monkey.

I cannot express how much disappointment I have for the way the staff at Purple Monkey Tattoo has conducted themselves. I work for a non profit organization that helps children and families. Every Christmas we try to find sponsors to help buy gifts for the children in our program. This year I wanted to contact local businesses to help our local families. The first week of November I talked to Purple Monkey Tattoo and asked if they wanted to sponsor any children. At this time the owner, Erik, agreed to sponsor three children. Within a week I returned with the paperwork and gift tags for these three children. The paperwork indicated that I would need to pick up the presents by November 29th so that I could deliver them to the families before the holiday. On the 29th I called and spoke to Jake who told me that I needed to call back another time and talk to Erik. When I called back and talked to Erik he told me I needed to call back and talk to Jake and so this continues for eight phone calls back and forth between the two of them. To this very day I am still getting the same run around with no hope that they are honoring their commitment to help these three children this holiday. It is very clear that Purple Monkey Tattoo doesnt have any regard for the children in the community or how their actions have impacted innocent families. As a member of the community and an advocate for the families in my program I know for certain I will take all of my tattoo business elsewhere and will make sure all of my friends, family and colleagues do also.

Great place. Got my nose pierced by Scot, super fast and very clean... then had an issue a few months later that on my first day of a new job my piercing had to be out and I didnt try to take it out untill 20 minutes before having to be there. I called the shop and told them I couldnt get it out and explained the situation. I sped there and the guy took it out real quick. So, I recommend this place definitely!

Careful of this place. After my initial inquiry asking and showing them what I was looking to have done, several of the staff reaching out to me and them sending me design ideas. I called to set up my appointment and was turned down by a rude man telling me what I wanted was a waste of their time and they wouldnt do it. ??? Why waste of my time if you werent ok doing my tattoo? Guess I should assume theyre just not capable.
