Not real friendly toward closing time. Only asked a question about a hallmark ornament and wished I had not.

I have been hearing on the local radio station (The Big Dawg) the advertisements for your store and they claim that Ace is a friendly place. I like supporting local businesses and that Ace can save me a lot of time instead of a big box store, but I couldn’t agree that your store is friendly by any means. In the past I have been denied service for paint because I got confused between a pint and quart. This same long term employee has also snickered when I asked for a piece of cut glass. He is also wasn’t the most helpful when I was looking for a specific type of soil and just gruffly stated “that’s all we have, so find it or we don’t have it.” This past Sunday I needed some plumbing supplies to fix a leak and I finally got friendly service. I asked a young man who was super helpful and he not only happily helped me he, answered my questions and saved me money by explaining why I didn’t need the rings I thought I might. I think your weekday employees should be required to take a training that teaches these employees that not every customer that communicates differently from themselves still deserve to be treated with respect. Maybe something like a diversity training. I am happy to discuss these issues in more detail, just contact me through google.

My husband and I went to Ace today to get 2 keys programmed. John Thao was the one who helped us. He needed the car there, but we couldnt get it there because the new keys wouldnt start it. He asked us where the car was and drove out to where we had the car and programmed the keys for us. He was a great help. Exceptional customer service. He was there to save the day. I cant say much for the other guy though. He pretty much said there was nothing he could do and walked away. Dont remember his name.

The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. They have the unique bolts or any other usual specialty items. If they dont have it they can find it and then if they cant theyll tell you whats up. Great people

My husband purchased a lawnmower yesterday and the salesperson was extremely helpful. They delivered it today on time and were very professional. Thanks Ace Hardware!

Ace hardware is much smaller than stores such as lowes and home depot, yet I always have a better shopping experience than at the larger box stores. The service is always more personal and pleasant and the staff actually know what they have in store and where to find it, which can be rare at the larger retailers. I have always had good success with the tools I have purchased from ace hardware and they are my number one go to for bolts and screws.Lowes and home depot are great for construction purposes and become better options the larger the scale of your project is. Ace hardware is great for the hobbyist and has excellent service, repair, and a decent array of inventory. Its always a good idea to do an internet search of a tool you are looking for, in my experience if your local ace hardware doesnt have what you are looking for then one nearby will.

Nice Ace Hardware. Has what you need. I ordered a Weber grill from them(had them place the order) after having issues a few times ordering via Ace online for delivery to their store. They ordered it for me and it came in just fine. Nice people working here. Good helpful staff.

Stopped by to purchase some bags of fertilizer, and asked someone inside to please tell me where it was. He pointed to the door and said out on the patio, I looked everywhere. It wasnt on the patio, so I asked someone else, and the said under the green roof outside. Not one person offered to walk with me to help me find it. The 2nd employee I asked was also rude, (along with not assisting me). I went out and loaded a 50 pound bag alone. No one offered to help. Their customer service has gone downhill.

This is a good store to find things that you cant find at Walmart, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, Harbor Freight or Rural King. But I do wish they offered a military discount which they do not.

Prices are consistently higher in store than on their website. For instance, on their website an item may be $19.99, in store the price is $21.99. Anyone not looking up the price before or after may not know they are being overcharged. Seems really shady.

Just got abandoned on hold. Good for at least two loud country tunes while waiting. Being busy is understandable. So is checking back after over 5 minutes to see if a human had taken a few seconds to say sorry we are real busy etc

Too pricey for certain projects

Ace is the place where I shop for items that are not mass marketed by other home improvement centers. The staff is helpful and knows where to find what youre looking for. Our Morganton store has an improved checkout lane and overall layout. Only gave it 4 stars because I wish it was a little bit bigger. Thanks Ace!

Be aware of pick up today. Website clearly stated item ready for pickup, drove to store only to here we dont have that. No to impressive.

I try at all times to buy local. Yes Lowes is local store buy totally different. Nuts, bolts, washers, screws, etc are available and are top notch, kept in order not like what you find most times at Lowes.Pretty much the same things available at Lowes except for lumber and appliances. The only knock I have withAce is their pricing which is crazy high on most things, and their not open on Sundays. As I type this I have to go to Lowes for some plumbing parts. Big leak found between floors in my house where normally I would go to Ace except that its Sunday.Lastly most of the time when whoever is on the floor asking if I need some help I find their ok if you need a water hose, bug spray etc. Anything else they have to call upfront for assistance.

Always pleasant and have what I need. Only place left to get keys made!!!

Best place I know of to get propane. They will refill your tank and it is alot cheaper then a swap out.

Just to purchase a few household and or garden items. Had some things I needed in a couple things I didnt have. Price is tend to be a little on the high side but they had a knee pad that I needed very much for gardening so I paid paid the price because it was also the last one $10.

Worst place 2.5 gallons of propane cost 27 dollars highway robbery and nozzle broke off will never buy there or recommend it to anyone

I want to take the time to THANK the nice ladies at morganton Ace hardware / hallmark store . We went in to get our yearly Christmas ornaments and they helped us . But most of all my wife had told the ladies that our daughter reminded her that we did get our ornaments last year cause we didnt see any we liked . So the ladies said let us pull last years out and see if they have anything we liked . Well well we found 3 NOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE RIGHT THERE . And they told us we could get a catalog and pre order for next year . MORGANTON ACE HARDWARE/HALLMARK/ BECKYS CHRISTMAS SHOP . I ordered a lexus key and went to them to have the key cut... the guy messes up the key while cutting it and says well if u order another one we can try again... and i was expected to buy another key that he screwed up

Got the parts you need but the customer service you dread. Stood behind counter where two employees looked at me and didnt even acknowledge me when I said hi and asked a question. Instead they sat staring at the computer. Found what I was looking for after walking around for 5 minutes.
