The service department at TriCounty PowerSports Cant Be Trusted.I brought my motorcycle to TriCounty PowerSports in Moorpark for a brake and clutch fluid flush. While at the shop to pick up the bike, I noticed that the clutch fluid flush had not been performed. They completed that 5 minute job while I waited. After getting the bike home, I inspected the front and rear brake fluid reservoirs. While the front brake master cylinder fluid looked clean, the rear master cylinder looked untouched and still dirty. I was fully charged, but did not receive full service. The attached photos of the rear brake master cylinder tell the story. The plastic bottle is the fluid that I flushed out of the rear brake fluid reservoir. The other photos show the fluid in the rear brake reservoir before and after I flushed the rear brake reservoir and line. You decide for yourself. For me, Ill never return to TriCounty PowerSports.
Had my eye on a bike for a while and was given a call from a gentleman named Johnny. He notified me that the bike was available and quoted me a price. I had delayed my trip out there by a day due to some personal business, but I had woken up at 6 in the morning for the three hour drive there with a rented U-Haul trailer. About two hours into the drive, I got a call back saying someone had made a deposit on the bike the night prior that he didn’t know about. I was pretty disappointed, but if I had known you could make a deposit to reserve the bike then I would have done that, but I was never notified I could do that before making a long trip. The bike of interest is still listed on their website and I wonder if anyone has even picked it up, so it leaves me to wonder if they didn’t want me to purchase the bike because I had planned to pay in cash.Edit 6/8/21: Received a phone call from Kevin, the general sales manager with an apology. He wanted to know what could have been improved with what had happened and explained that the buyer who put down a deposit did not purchase the bike and was attempting to contact me to continue the sale prior. I had purchased a similar bike that day on my way back home and explained to him that if I had not already rented a trailer and been on the way, that I would have still like to have made a deal with them. Kevin was respectful and is more than happy to try and earn my trust again with the dealership the next time I look for a bike. I would be willing to give this place a second chance. Thank you Kevin!
Wow wow wow wow, coming from a dealership background, I always call into any new dealer I have not purchased from with hesitation. Worried about all the tricks of the trade. However dealing with Jonathon and the rest of the management team at Tri county was actually a pleasure! They made me feel right at home, the paper work was fast, and had the bike ready for me when I arrived! The price was beyond fair too! Especially considering the rarity of the bike. I could spend all day writing good things about them. Sales, parts, and service were all absolutely amazing! Can not thank them enough! Will be recommending everyone! Don’t hesitate! Get on two wheels, a trike, a side by side, or skip the road and pick up a jetski while your at it! Most importantly make sure to ask for Jonathon!
We had a very good experience buying our Honda Ruckus! Jonathan was the PERFECT salesman, providing very detailed explanations without being pushy. Wish they could all be like him.Well be going back to Tri-County for several reasons, but mainly Jonathan. Great job.
I recently bought a 2021 Can-Am Ryker Rally Edition from this location. Taxi the sales rep at this store is fantastic. I ran into a snag after my purchase and he rectified everything for me. Dan the guy that worked on my bike was awesome too, he was very knowledgeable and took the time to make sure everything was in working order. I love my new bike so much. Thank you again Taxi for getting me on this bike.
The staff at Tri-County Power sports are the best. The sale, parts, service and Management are professional . Very quick to get back to you when you need answers to questions. The best customer service I have had in the past five motorcycle buys. They sold two cycles for me on consignment and they good me the best deal on both of them. Even better than I ask for. They are the best. Thank you guys so much.
I was looking for part and it ended up that they didnt have it in stock and no idea when it might come in. The guy on the phone gave me the part number and some Ideas of places that may keep it stock. They didnt make a sale, but I will go to them next time I need something that hopefully they will have in stock.12-14-19 UpdateSo today I visited Tri county. Because when I called looking for multiple pieces of hardware the parts guy thought it might be easier to come in and just point it all out on the screen. He also suggested that they have a Box of bolts a Euro Style Track Pack that may have some of what Im looking for already. Upon arriving I was impressed with the amount of side-by-sides in stock they had, and didnt even realize that the bikes and side by sides went all the way around the side of the building. Once I got to the parts counter I explained that I had called in and Jake (very helpful) and I went to work trying to find the bolts I needed. Unfortunately my bike is a little older so they did not have what I needed in stock again, but we did open one of the Euro Pack and find that most of what I was looking for was in there. I took a moment to look around before leaving the show room.It is nice but small has a little bit of everything. Hopefully some day they will have what I need in stock or I may have to just break down and buy that new Husky.
We went there to trade in two bikes and buy 2020 Honda Arica Twin Sports DCT. The deal did not go through since we did not get enough credit for our trade ins. I understand business is business. Both sides have to be happy for the deal to go through. But we were basically thrown out from the managers office (long haired tatooed guy). Both my son and myself are Engineers and professinals. I do not remember being mis treated like this in my whole life. Stay away from Tri County unless you want to take a risk of getting bad customer service.
I traveled from Northern California past multiple Honda dealerships for the adventure of riding my new Honda Africa twin from LA back home. I was greeted warmly by Johnny and negotiations were fast, professional and efficient. It goes long was to cared for as a customer and to feel that your business matters. I will be back again:)
Got a good deal on a 2019 honda NC750x
5 Stars, more if I could! Showed up to try the Can-Am Ryker, Hubby and I were quickly accommodated with a test ride each, loved them, decided to buy them. Too late in the day to start the process, so we agreed to return the next day. On the way in next morning, I decided I wanted to try the Spyder. Texted my salesman, Josh, no problem. By the time we arrived, the bike was ready. Long story shorter, we purchased that Spyder, and an additional one for hubby. Returned again the next day to pick up our perfectly prepped Spyders. Over the course of 3 days, we got to know just about everyone in the sport section of Tri-County. Everyone was so helpful and kind, very knowledgeable folks. Excellent experience!
Was just at this place. Twice. Really great customer service. Got a can am ryker that needed some details sorted out. Bryce in Service went above to help me as did the tech, thx!
If you are in need of any powersports go see Kevin Ryan at Tri-County. He has the best pricing and the best customer service. He is a gentleman. I spoke to many different places when I wanted to buy my ATV and a lot of the sales people at other stores were too Salesy. Kevin made it a great experience, kept his word every step of the way. He is honest and a pleasure to work with. Cant wait to go see him again.
Well the good news is they evaluated and ordered the parts I needed right away. Always good advice from the parts and service guys. The bad news is those sales guys put these beautiful African Twins and Goldwings right in the middle of everything. Very distracting. They do it on purpose. So then all the way home I have to keep chanting: I will not buy a Goldwing. I will not buy a Goldwing. 😁
Taxi and Kevin were the best! Always answered questions and always were very helpful! I got the bike they promised everything was great!
Really just good enough for now. Been in a few times but havent made a purchase yet. More to come on this one for sure ...
My 2020 CanAm Ryker 900 Rally had a very annoying problem. I went into trouble of making a video of exactly what was happening as it was pretty unusual.u2028u2028The dealership I had bought the Ryker from had proved themselves to be dishonest as well as arrogantly incompetent, so they were out of the picture.I sent the video to the service department of a dealership nearby, then called to see what they thought. They informed me that in their view there was nothing wrong with the Ryker and the behavior was ‘The nature of the beast”.Time to move to the next dealership, and another video sent to the service department. Having received no response I called them and was told that yes they had received the video but not looked at it because they need to have the bike with them first.Next in line was Tri-County Powersports. They actually did bother to review and discuss the video with the relevant personnel of the dealership, responded to me quickly, were polite, and clearly eager to help. I had no reason not to entrust the repair of the bike to them. The process took virtually six weeks mostly due to BRP’s (the manufacturer of the CanAm) lack of timely responsiveness, but it was done, and I collected the CanAm yesterday.
Great Crew 👍Awesome People 👌Will recommend for sure!💯
Tri county powersports have good deals and sales people i recommend them for your next toy purchase.Purchased 2021 rzr Turbo4s volocity and love it. Thanks Tri-county
Awesome experience with Kevin (sales), Kevin (finance) and Taxi. They answered all of my questions and the process of entering the store to leaving with my new 450rx took less than 2 hours. Got a good deal and they were very personal. This is the place to go.
Last night the manager tried to price gouge use for a 2021 CRF125. He said they can sell this bike for what ever they want over sticker price. They can do that but it’s going to hurt their representation. The price was almost $1000.00 more than what I paid from Mountain Motorsports. Don’t buy from them. Mountain Motorsports has a great staff and are honest. Buy from them.
Taxi is the Man! Very patience and knowledgeable about the bikes. Also his beard is Awesome! Love love this place!Theron Feemster is my name! Winning with Taxi is the Game!
So I call this place looking to buy something and make sure they have what I was looking for before I go so this guy name josh I think he asked me where I was calling from (it’s does that really matter)?Second one he wash just laughing and laughing what’s was so funny i don’t get it!!!! They don’t take serious the call?I’m happy that’s I didn’t But anything here with that poor constumer service!!! Sucks!!
I go to Tri County for parts for my Honda, had what I needed in stock.
No shop likes doing recall work because shops are compensated so poorly that they lose money on the repair. Tri-County took our recalled Honda Generator and made the corrective mods in a few hours! The generator is used if there is a power outage at my 93-year-old mothers house so the super fast turnaround was greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tri-County!
Stay away this dealer ! Please read those bad reviews about their sale manger. I concur with my own experience.
I had a great experience working with Kevin on the details of a used KTM they had before driving a few hours. Got there and Taxi had that bike and a new CRF450L ready to demo on time. Didn’t pull the trigger as the bikes didn’t fit my needs as well as hoped but experience was great up to that point.
I was looking for a 2019 crf450r to purchase. I know there hard to find so I called to make sure that it was available. So I talked to Kevin the sales manager and asked him if it was there and he said it was. So I drove from San Diego to Moorpark which is a 2 hour drive just to find out that was a lie. Nobody greeted me and had to go find help and ask for Kevin and he wouldn’t even talk to me. So they try to hustle me on a 2020 bike. The first one they showed me had missing plastics and the second they showed me had water in the engine. PLEASE don’t do business with this dealership there unprofessional and lie for no reason. If I was the owner I would fire Kevin.
We bought our 2019 Can-Am from this company and brought it to be serviced. Now I understand Covid is affecting all business however I must have called 5 times and left several voicemails but no one cared to call back. My husband finally got a hold of a service technician and he set up and appointment. We dropped off the can-am and described our issues. $700 later we picked up the Can-Am and it is still has issues. These people charge an arm and a leg and didn’t solve our problems. I’ve been trying to get a hold of them again and the only representative that answers tell me to leave a voicemail! Are you kidding me? Very upset. Please don’t drop money here as they will sell you the exact same off road vehicle for thousands more and take your money in “repairs”. Will be looking elsewhere.
Was searching for used MV and saw one at Tri County Powersports. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and purchased the bike sight unseen. The entire process was smooth and easy and they were great to work with. Highly recommend them and would for sure buy another bike from them when ready.
It was easy to make a fast clean deal and everybody I dealt with was super friendly, efficient, and nice. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.
The sales manager was so rude to me I was absolutely shocked. I recently contacted them to check stock and buy a brand new motorcycle they had on the floor, so I confirmed it was in stock and told them I was coming from a few hours away. By the time I got there later that day I walked in and nobody in the building offered to help and I had to ask 4 different people where to find a salesman and after waiting 20min they come to tell me they sold the bike an hour earlier. I asked why they couldn’t have contacted me to let me know it sold since I called earlier in day and said I was coming to buy it with cash and his response “they don’t have time to contact customers” even when they call to say they are coming from few hours away with cash in hand. The manager Kevin has a horrible attitude problem and he really shouldn’t be working in customer service. I can’t imagine how many sales they loose because of such poor service, I wonder if the owner is aware how poorly customers are treated.... Im not surprised to see the most recent review is a customer saying he had almost the same exact experience to mine with the same sales manager who helped me. I have to say this was Truly a horrible experience and I definitely won’t go back there ever again. It’s really a shame because there’s not very many moto shops in the county so it’s really a bummer to see this shop doesn’t care about their customers. Don’t spend your hard earned money with a place that doesn’t value your business. Dont waste your time with this place, support local shops that actually take care of their customers and appreciate your business!
Knowledgeable, friendly staff
I purchased a 2019 X3 .Taxi the salesman was a pleasure to deal with. No pressure and they beat everyones price .I will definitely go back when its time to upgrade .
We had a fantastic experience! It was a great deal and a beautiful bike that the guys helped us bring home. Thanks to Nick, Paul and Tyler! Super knowledgeable Gents! I highly recommend!!!! I would give more stars if I could!
I was very nervous about buying another bike, as the first bike I bought, the dealer really took advantage of my ignorance, and so I came in with my guard up. These guys were amazing! Tyler and Kevin went to any lengths to make sure I was sure about what I wanted; saw, felt, and really tried on the bike before deciding. They were not pushy at all, were GREAT with communication and updates, very personal, and SO knowledgeable. Tyler taught me all about the bike and made sure I understood before buying. Kevin did everything to make the purchase smooth, helped with insurance, and got me a great deal. I couldnt be happier with my experience. They really made up for the first dealership who sold me a bike! My faith has been restored:)
$1050 mark up in a $3300 bike that is 2 years old. No wonder why no one is buying your bikes. No where else has mark up on cheap bikes.
Recently purchase a new Gold Wing from Tri-County Power Sports. I dealt with Salesman Mark Davis, Sales Mgr Kevin and Matt from parts. My experience was outstanding. I was treated respectfully and was given a very competitive price, what else can you ask for.
Joke had appointment to buy a CANAM X3 ready to spend 40K called the guy Kevin K to tell him im running 30 min behind and he keeps telling me we are to busy we are to busy blah blah and then tells me we dont even have the model I requested built wasted my time and then so why would they run my credit for what. Go elsewhere they are to busy that all they say....
Cant believe the service department doesnt have the flexibility to do a simple atv tire change, just the wheel, without waiting a day. And the guy at counter was more concerned with a missing package than taking care of me.
Good set of people here they replaced my key super easy!
Service Dept. is way high but apparently busy.
Another idiotic stealership. Is not capable of returning phone calls as promised. Avoid!
Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Youre just a number and paycheck to these people. They dont call, they dont check, they pretty much leave you hanging. I put in a credit app 2 weeks ago. Took 2 weeks and a sales manager to give me an answer. Glad I didnt waste my time driving 30 miles to deal with service like that. Bought the honda grom from another dealership cash. Good luck selling those extra honda groms you bought and changed for someone else who never picked them up.
The best!
This place SUCK, I asked for a price for a tire and installation. They couldnt even give me a price over the phone. I even gave them my email address to send it to me.This is a Great way to run down a business.
Total horrible experience unethical will never do business again. Unprofessional sales and finance staff who can care less about your business. I will never do business again with them. Very sad to see this behavior towards customers especially long time customers. As response to owner: Hahaha where do I begin with real facts vs incorrect data you provide.1. First off unethical? You just showed this example by responding with peoples personal names, and financing information which is considered confidential. Wow.2. Then you say a cancellation due to terms on a trade of a KTM hahaha. There was no trade get the facts right and there was no refund requested. Actually what was requested was the 450 deal be cancelled but your team insisted on that to keep going while you held my money on TC 50 which was paid for in full for over a week. I have about 10 emails and phone calls requesting when I could pick up until yesterday.3. Then your team plays a game saying no problem they will deliver to me and then do a bait and switch cancel and last moment to try a sadly immature approach due to insecurity and ego of a sales man sales manager and finance manager which I was professional enough not to name names and details like you did.But hey I just bought 2 new bikes in cash today at another dealer and you just lost my sales from me on 2 more bikes next month. As a reminder I bought 2 new bikes from you in last 2 months and 3k in upgrades from your service department who by the way gave me horrible service a few months ago.Clearly this behavior must stem from leadership down very sad to see this thought your team was better than all this.Good luck.
Parts counter is always very helpful, good guys over there 👍
Tyler hooked me up with a sweet MV Agusta Dragster RC. He definitely knows his product line. From start to finish the transaction was as good as it gets. Received top dollar for my trade and paid cash for the balance. Service department handled the break in for a fair price and on time. Overall a great experience.
Stay away if you can help it. I flew all the way from SF to buy CBR1000. The bike is awesome but I got 0 service from the very beginning. Waited more than hour for them to start working on my papers. Got dead battery that barely brought me home. After several days the said they made a mistake and gave me wrong registration. It turned out later, when I got suspension from DMV, they had also provided me a wrong VIN... I want to add here : it took me couple of month talking to the sales, now I finally got reimbursement for the inconveniences
Great salesmen, customer service. Very accommodating.
Worst sales experience ever. The old bait and switch!!! Quoted a price... deposited... drove 3 hrs to see them... Changed the written price when I showed up.... DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!! I left after fighting for my deposit.....
Theyre great. Friendly, not pushy, knowledgeable. Only given 4 starts cause Ive not bought anything from them so cant give full 5. Yet!:)
Good people, quality bikes. I had a great experience buying a bike from them and selling one too. They were happy to work with me on price and timing for everything. Great great small shop feel.
We worked with Jake and Tyler who hooked us up with two great bikes. Very friendly to new riders, and extremely helpful. Thank you guys!
A friendly with lots of good deals, every time I visited there everyone has been helpful and a tentative beyond the norm!
Bought a 2020 x3 rr here, staff mike at sale, mike at finance and everyone else were great, it was super easy no pressure, i wil go back to them and recommend them to friends and family .
Not a good experience, totally wasted my time, I called about a Guzzi Stone they had advertised as version 2 with ABS. I asked over the phone if I could come down and test drive it, the jerk sales guy Markhad the temerity to ask me very pointedly if I was really interested in buying the bike? This annoyed me and he could sense it, he suddenly got very nice over the phone. When I got there, the bike is not the version 2 and doesnt have abs. They claimed it was an honest mistake but they should know what theyre selling and know that these details make a huge difference, a lot of people came to look at that bike so it was probably just some BS ploy to get people in there.
During my time here in the Simi Valley Area I have purchased three separate bikes from Simi Valley Honda as well as many parts. Being new to riding I had lots of questions which the General Manager?? Joe was able to answer quickly and patiently ((even going into some specifics by drawing diagrams of what to look for when trying to find tire wear, when it is time to replace a new spark plus and even checking my oil)). The owner Jim may seem a little rough but is actually an engaging guy and does his best to set things straight when problems arise. Simi Valley Hondas always been there for me when it comes to repair, service, parts, new purchases etc. Seems like if you have gotten bad service from these folks you had to try.... hard.
The guys in the service department are the best! Always courteous and helpful, theyre my go to for any motorcycle concern!
Great transaction. I called from Arizona to inquire about a Mv Agusta Jake was very helpful with the entire transaction from the first call to the closing of the deal. Thanks guys
This place has a huge selection of Harley-Davidson and off-road vehicles anywhere from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive Dirt Bikes 2 ATVs you name it theyve got it
Over the past several months I have purchased two pre owned bikes from this dealership. The first one was in great condition and worked out well. I sold it when I decided to buy a cruiser instead. The cruiser I purchased from them was a beautiful little bike. Got what I thought was a decent price and took it home. The next day I took it riding and it consistently stalled on me, in neutral or with the clutch pulled in. Closer inspection of the bike also revealed that the tool kit was missing and that that the fork lock actually needed a separate type of key. These are the types of details I wouldve searched for in a test ride and an inspection if I was buying from someone off of craigslist, not an established dealership. (To be fair they did partially fix the stalling issue after I took the bike in twice.)After all of this headache I just decided to sell the bike and store my gear. I will get a bike again but after this experience it is going to have to be awhile before I do.
If you are interested in any kind of Motorcycle*, talk to Jake in Sales & Larry the Sales Manager - up front, no b.s. - a pleasure to deal with ...*I have only spoken with them regarding Motorcycles
Come here for my parts and the customer service is awesome Jake the young girl which I forget her name are A1!! thanks Tri County
Bought my bike here and got some parts serviced. They have great prices and very friendly staff. They dont hound you to buy either which is great, they make sure you have all the information you need or want.
Sales staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They have a good selection of bikes and OHVs too.
Every time we call for parts they dont have it. 1/2 the time it will be a week to get it or they say they cant get it when other dealers can. We have even been given parts that dont fit the bike. The parts folks dont seem to have much knowledge of the products either.Rather annoying since the next closest dealer is 20 miles away. Better 20 miles though then wasting your time.
I called this dealership to ask a for a price on a 2015 MV Agusta Stardale 800 and after 7 minutes on hold a guy by the name of Nick picked up. He said hes busy and asked for my number to call me back, 4 hours went by and I decided to call the dealership once more. Nick picked up once more and gave me a price which was $3300.00 more than the advertised price. I am aware that there is a dealer mark up whuch according to nick was $2400.00 a dealer mark up of $2400 seemed very excessive and I asked him for a bottom line out the door price and he promised to get back to me and never did. This guy from the get go didnt seem to want to do any work at all since he didnt even call me back the first time around. If youre thinking of buying from this dealer stay away from this poor excuse of a salesman named Nick Im calling his manager tomorrow and will update this review based on what happens in that conversation
Edit: This review is for Simi Honda Sea Doo (closed)This place is great! The entire group there is very friendly and more than willing to go out of their way to help you. I purchased a new Honda CBR250R ABS from them and the owner himself came and delivered it to my house for me. I am a very new rider and it is comforting to see such help and dedication to making sure I got what I wanted, how to maintain it, and at getting it to me at a VERY good price. I drove over 30 miles to get to them instead of the other local dealer. Highly recommended and worth the trip.
My husband bought his motorcycles at this location, great place!
Great selection
They Bought the only Honda Motorcycle Dealership I dealt with for 20 years just after I bought my bike from Simi Valley Honda Seadoo. Not much to say, they are a business trying to survive like any other business. They have a couple sales people who probably just made it through Highschool. it Shows..Their Parts department is efficient but no matter how much you spend, or how great a customer you think you are, ur just a wallet to them.I get in and get out as fast as possible. I believe their New bike delivery and prep fees are way high, and personally while there are trolls who like to buy bikes and pay top dollar, I find it more appropriate for me to search most of the shops in the greater LA Basin when it comes to purchasing a new bike, because I feel they at Moorpark Harley Honda think they are the only game in town, FAR FROM IT> Besides, cant fricken stand Harleys or the nimrods who own and ride them, to Fin Loud and more just drip oil all over the road..probably my biggest gripe, I have no interest in a dealer who sells Harleys and if possible I find alternate suppliers when I can.. for those Dfuks who think I dont support local, I have 80K in bikes that says otherwise. Go Rotate on that Dipwad!
If I could have given this dealership 0 stars I would have. Beware when you buy a vehicle (motorcycle) from them. They do not complete DMV paperwork in order for them to save money and it will all come back to you. When asked about why they didnt do their job, they lie and say they have special perks from the DMV so they are not required to complete the paperwork. I still continue to receive letters from the DMV in regards to a motorcycle I traded into Tri-County Powersports months ago. I have not received my license plates for the new 2016 Gold Wing I purchased from them because, according to the CA DMV, Tri-County has not completed the paperwork. So I have no plates and registration. If my trade-in is stolen from their lot, guess who they come looking for! I have made numerous attempts to rectify the problems (with the owner himself and the manager) to no avail. Very unhappy with this Honda dealership! Will seek other remedies other than relying on the dealership. (Like the DMV complaint system for one).
Poor knowledge in the service department, poor demo on the new purchased bike and no so much satisfactory customer service! Hope to see better improvement all around!
Excellent like always.🏍️
I took in my Spyder & paid hundreds of dollars to have diagnostics and repair done (they kept it 3 weeks after saying 1-2). When I picked it up, the check engine light was on & I was told it would go off after running awhile. Three months later, still on, wont shift & I am told because I left with the check engine light on I have to pay for diagnostics & repairs again. DONT GO HERE FOR REPAIRS -- SCAM SCAM SCAM
Great people, but a little off of the main road.
Im sorry but 2 months to even start looking at my bike is ridiculous.
I wish I could give 0 stars. 1 is too many for this place.
Great place to shop for the experience your looking for
Very helpful Personnel very friendly
They are great
Tried to call them, number was busy for ever. Finally got a young lady on the line, I asked for parts dept. She put me on hold and never came back, at least for the 10 minutes I held for.
Terrible Customer Service. I will never be back.
Amazing bikes.
Bought a used bike from these guys and the bike had an issue after I got it home. Larry at Tri County took care of my issue and made it right.
Worst service ever they said that they were to busy to do anything!!!!! Took it somewhere else.
I called and had a couple of questions and the lady on the phone was very rude she was trying to get me off the phone
Great place
Good peeps
Want to ride again!!
Good atmosphere and very professional people
