I never write reviews, but I’ll make an exception today. I love this liquor store. They have a great selection and I like that they allow you to accrue points to use towards your next purchase. That being said I will never shop here again. The girl that checked me out today was just straight up rude and nasty. I’d rather pay an extra few bucks at a place that values my business

This is a nice little local liquor store that has quite a good selection of wine, beer and hard liquor. The prices were pretty decent and the staff was very friendly and willing to help. I would recommend this place if you are stopping through town or our local.

I implore you to not support bad businesses such as this, they engage in price gouging which is despicable. Even if you dont care about their lack of ethics, their selection is quite disappointing and theyre likely to ignore you, even if they arent busy.

The Liquor Store is the best place in the area to get food beer or spirits/wine. They keep an impressive selection & assortment. Its my go-to place.They only get 4 stars because the staff that works there are dumber than a box of rocks. Ive actually learned to do my own research on wines & craft beer. EVERY question Ive asked of the staff regarding beer (and one wine) has been meet with silence and befuddled stutters.Which confuses me. You work in a liquor store, shouldnt it be your job to know the industry you work in? Just saying.Anyway, great place to shop. Just avoid the staff.

The Liquor Store in Montrose is my favorite place to stock up because of the wide selection and good prices. Those of us who live in the hinterlands only go to town 1x a month or so. Unfortunately, it is next to Walmart, so there is that traffic congestion to deal with. They have the best beer and wine selections in the area. I just wish the beers were arranged by style, instead of by brewery, like the wine and liquors are arranged. The checkout staff are efficient. The management is happy to help with recommendations. There is the discount program, too. I almost forgot - this is the only place I have found locally that has my beloved Alexander GRAPPA Blanca. Fantastico.

For wine in Montrose its either the liquor store or corks I really like the way the liquor store Displays their bottles its real easy to use the app Vivino and get ratings on them all... But the liquor store has a much better selection of Le cures special vodkas rums whiskies eccentric cetera. They also have a wonderful selection of beers highly recommended prices are good always have things on sale and special.

Liz, was incrediable in helping me get a couple of cases of Herman Joseph beer shipped out east for my father(Herman Joseph) for his 90th BIRTHDAY! They all have great knowledge when wanting help in making a purchase,they have a very large selection .The points system make it fun and rewarding.

These guys have a great selection and are super friendly! You also cant beat their points club. They didnt have a rum i wanted, so they ordered it for me. Great service!

Went in the other day. The selection is great. Also the prices are way better than the 3 stores in Ridgway. Plus the guy at the register was nice and did good buisness. I will stop in again.

Not sure why The Liquor Store is getting poor reviews. Not only do they have the best selection of beer and spirits in town, but the staff is excellent. They are always friendly and willing to offer an opinion on any new products. Liz, the manager is also pushing the Keep Colorado Local campaign, which is the only thing stopping the passage of a law that will kill the craft liquor industry and put many of our independent liquor stores out of business. As if any of that is not enough, they have the best rewards program in town.

Worst customer service ever. If you use Ibotta, keep your distance from this shameful establishment, as they will yell at you and kick you out for using the app. Paranoia runs this place, and it has lost my business. There are much better liquor stores not far from here.

We have exclusively used The Liquor Store for years...because we ALWAYS get the best service and love that they are so knowledgeable about their products. We also love how connected they are with our area and contribute whenever they can. A true asset to Montrose. :-)

Only place to buy if around Montrose, Ridgway or Ouray. Everywhere else is 20% higher in cost. So stop here and stock up if going onto one of the towns down valley.

Rude people, very arrogant too. When I told the clerk I usually pay $16 for a wine he was selling for $22,50 he walked away with my receipt. When I followed him down an isle and asked for my receipt he asked me if I was done complaining! I said yes, I want a full refund...which he gave me. I went to another liquor store and bought the wine much cheaper.If you like overpriced liquor and wine, childish mind games, arrogant clerks....youll love this place
