OK I guess. Two cashiers were of no help. Kinda shrugged me off when I told them I was there for a store pickup. Luckily another employee heard my name and recognized that I had a pickup. She went and got it. While the two cashiers told me nothing. Had I not heard her say that she was going to get my order I would have been clueless. Same scenario for another lady standing in front of me. And we discussed how unhelpful and unprofessional the cashiers were. The employee who went and got my order carried it on the cart to my vehicle and her and another gentleman were very helpful in assisting me load the heavy item. So in short two employees were helpful. The two cashiers not so much.

A big thanks and praise for manager, Justin. Being short staffed, there was an error made by an employee who was doing the best he could in a department that he was unfamiliar with. When I discovered the error, Justin happily made everything better than right and the exchange was handled with ease by helpful staff. Everyone makes mistakes...but how you handle them is what matters. Justin is a class act and so is his hard working staff.

Great customer service! My son’s football cleats that I ordered online for curbside pick up were not available after I purchased them. One of the employees called and offered me the next style up with no upgrade difference charge instead of canceling my order. I appreciated that and so did my son.

Good experience, in and out quickly. Even saw one of the employees notice the 2 checkout lines backing up and she immediately opened a 3rd register to keep things moving.

Really love this store, great prices and found exactly what we were looking for! However I wasnt impressed with our cashier who kept trying to make jokes as we were checking out. He even went as far as using profanity while talking to us infront of my 12 year old son. Not something I was expecting and definitely will NOT be going back to this location.

Bought my water sport gears here. Various brands are sold here, so you have alot of options. Me and my husband also buys ammos here. They have a decent amount of stocks but preferrably go in the morning til 12pm, just to make sure you still get some. Only 2 boxes of ammos are allowed per person. Bit pricey, but where else can you find it but here, service is good too. Friendly personnels are working there. Well keep coming back for sure. Would like to avail the academy member card (but its a credit card) and dont wanna manage another one.. so yeah.. but if you can, I would encourage you get it and enjoy alot of discounts.

Weve always had good experiences at this Academy location. The store has a good selection of cheer and soccer supplies. They have a huge selection if merchandise and its fun to check everything out. There are usually a lot of staff available to help you, and check out us normally pretty efficient. They also honored a military discount for us.

Clean store with a nice selection. Knocked a star off because I did curbside pickup and ordered two bags of 15lbs pellets. They chose the worst condition bags with holes in them, tossed packing tape across it and gave those to me. Next time Ill just go inside and select my own bags to avoid this issue. I would not do another pickup or recommend it to anyone. Also check not only the tags on shirts for the size but the shirt itself. Didnt catch a shirt I bought until I got home and took the tags off only to realize the shirt was a size smaller than what the tags displayed.

Customer service was good. They stocked a nice amount of a large variety of shoes. I found what I wanted.

Store was clean and organized. Staff was very friendly and offered to help. I didnt find what I was looking for, but was offered suggestions and made aware of their online store. It was a very pleasant experience. This Academy Sports is pretty consistent in their customer service and over all 5 star experts. I recommend this Academy Sports at East Chase to anyone.

Went in for gun cleaning supplies and a new cleaning mat. There were nothing but bare shelves. This isnt ammo, or gun that Im speaking of now. Not one associate on any computer or that picked up a phone could give me an answer. Go figure with big corporate stores. Went back to individually owned, had me one there while I was still shopping. Yep, a little out of the way, but, Im going back to the little guys, where it all started anyway.

I love Academy Sports so every chance I get when I am traveling, I stop by one. This one was the least exciting one I have been to. The shoe selection was lacking for women’s running shoes. It just seemed such a lackluster store. The first time I have walked out of an Academy Sports store without spending a penny.

Extremely helpful staff and a pleasant store to go in. I was just not satisfied in the bicycle section for the lack of prices and sizes there. Online they are very organized but the building does not allow for cell service so I could not pull up my wishlist to see what bike matched. Instead I had to crouch down and twirl tires to see what size they were and try to find the size I want. You cannot get a bike in a box which is tricky for storage and wrapping when you want to save the bike for a present. But good that it is assembled by a professional.

They have great sales right now. We were asked by 3 different salespeople if we needed help. The checkout clerk was friendly as well. Love this store.

Horrible! Waited in line at the site to store desk while cash only customers were checked out only to be asked if I had checked in to receive my purchase once it was my turn.😡 This is definitely not the process and the cashier seemed to be confused. I then chose to go to my car to utilize the curbside option. While waiting yet again, I called inside of the store to speak with a manager. Once someone finally answered, I asked for the manager and could hear the employee hand someone the telephone. I assumed that I was about to speak with a manager, only to be placed on hold without anyone saying anything to me. I did eventually receive my purchase and the young lady that bought it to me was very nice.

Three things. Why have the display up and you dont have the items to sell.2nd young, African American,. Curly hair hanging in a bob. I came twice Thursday night.band Friday morning cause product could not fit in car. She is not customer service friendly. I asked one or two questions to many but I spent 500. Im a store owner and customer service is key. I could shop anywhere. But I choose Academy.On the other note the guy that helped me to my car was awesome. I wish I had his name

Two guys helped me in the shoe department to find football cleats for my nephew. Even though they didnt carry a size 15 they offered to look online for me with no hesitation. They were very knowledgeable about the best kind of cleats for him. Excellent customer service is always appreciated, great job guys 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

We were looking for an inversion table and were hoping to see one set up. They had 2 different ones by the same brand on the shelf; you couldnt tell the price. None was set up and no one was around to ask for help. Needless to say no purchase here!

Academy Sports customer service was pleasant. I went in to buy a weight set and I was assisted in purchasing the set and getting it to my car. Good experience this time.
