Amazing store. Super cool staff. Ive found some great old records here at reasonable prices (Stick Fingers 70s press with the zipper still attached). Love talking with the owner and whoever else occasionally works there. Bonus, it is next door to an awesome book store.

Great shop! Owner is very knowledgeable. Extensive selection of used classic rock and jazz. They carry some new records as well, but the selection isnt as wide. Lots of good stuff though, and they seem to get in new material regularly. Good place for rare/hard to find records

This place is pretty cool! Prices are pretty good on used vinyl... Which is pretty much what I hunt for. What I like, and this goes a long way, is the counter guy. He was super cool, and chill. I would definitely come back! 😎

Cool shop with a great choice of used vinyls. Mostly 60/70s stuff (soul, rock, folk). Also DVDs, K7... The owner is helpful and welcoming. Vinyls are not all in a top condition but prices are really affordable and its a pleasure to dig here.

AMAZING RECORD STORE ! My wife and I stopped by here while on our vacation in Pacific Grove....gee our VRBO house was only 5 minutes away. We are always looking for new albums or videos and this place had it all. Tom the owner was extremely helpful when I asked if he had a particular album in stock. And the beauty of the pricing...all cds $7 each and they were all in top condition. My wife found a great deal....3 x movie dvds for $10...great deal ! There is an enormous selection of vinyl albums, cds, dvds and quite a few collectors items such as a signed Junior Wells pic. I found a cd I liked....The Pretenders - Learning To Crawl ( to supplement my vinyl copy ) and my wife bought me a nice blues compilation album. We thought the prices were very fair and the store is absolutely pristine. I said to Tom the vinyl records covering the ceiling looked really cool and he told me that he did it all during the 3 month covid shutdown. Good job !

Sean, the owner is a very cool dude. He seems a bit stand off in the begging, but opens up once he gets a sense that you appreciate the store. He appears to be a one man show, so I have much respect for that. If you like records stores that done have the feel of genuine records from a man who is passionate about what he does, well, this is not your store. The owner was kind enough to let me place some bookmarks out for customers and even offered space on his window if I had posters. So cool! This place has an amazing selection of used records. Great selection for ones who like to collect. Not much on new records. Still, an amazing selection of hard to find records. Apparently it’s going up for sale! If I could, I’d buy it. Highly recommend this place. Tiny store but packed with amazing selection. I purchased SINATRA AT THE SANDS in great condition. And a hard to find, the Beatles at the Hollywood bowl. Excellent condition for and amazing price!

Nice old style used record store. They do have a few new issues but it is first and foremost a used retailer. Records are not in sleeves for the most part so many have wear from shoppers thumbing through them. Prices are ok. Some good bargains and some a bit over priced. If your looking for some lost treasure you might want to check it out.

Nice variety between old and new records. I was there near closing and when I asked about an artist, the owner gave me his card and offered to ship a record to me that had recently come in but was not yet organized in the store, which was very kind. Before I left town, I went back and found an original pressing of an old Tull record Id been searching for that was only 6 bucks. Thanks Tom!

Good selection and organization (even the artists within the letters were alphabetized) but the overall condition of the records and sleeves were a bit rough. The prices ran the gambit but overall were a bit inflated for my liking. Owner was helpful, but could be a bit more selective with the stock.

Store is very messy and used records are usually pretty beat with laughable asking prices. Owner has a major attitude like people owe him something for existing. He has no sense of building community and is kind of a jerk. I try to spend money here but dealing with the owner is not worth it. If you’re gonna support a local record store I’d advise checking out Bob at Vinyl Revolution so you can talk to someone that is actually passionate about music and knows his records.

I really am indifferent to this place. They have a lot of great records but its not as organized as Id like and as big as the jazz section is you would think they would have a more varied collection of genres but its pretty bland. The person behind the counter was as indifferent to me as i was to the store. I walked out without spending any money because it just didnt seem worth it. Their DVDs were pushed into a corner and not organized at all.

This place is amazing, a small business that deserves support. Theres a wide variety of CDs, albums, 45s, plus a decent selection of DVDs and (even) 8-track tapes (!), all reasonably priced. My son insists we visit there every time were in Monterey, I readily agree.

No. Dont go to this place. First off, I couldnt find anyone to help me for 10 minutes. When I did get help, the owner is cranky and isnt friendly. I asked for help and he blew me off. Not to mention, the store was messy and it smelled. I wont come back.

If it weren’t for the fact that I traveled more than 2 hours to visit Monterey and then spent 2 hours looking through the store, I wouldn’t have given a dime of my money to this shop. I have never encountered another human being with such a lack of common decency as the owner of this record store.

Ive always loved vinyls but never had a record player of my own. I walked in after driving by the place and having time to kill and walked out with a new record player and about six records for less than $120. 3 months later and I cant get enough. The classic rock section is amazing as are the pop and blues. You have to dig a bit through the classical stuff but its well worth it. I guess its not that popular because they practically give it away so Ive got a ton of the greats like Beethoven (!!!), Bach, and Mozart and a lot of some composers Ive never heard of. You can often buy 3 or 4 records in a set for like 7 bucks or so. Prices normally range from about $5-$30 depending on wear and tear and popularity. For instance, I got a used ACDC for about $9 while the same album new was about $20. The guy who works there isnt extremely helpful but in my opinion, he doesnt need to be. Searching for music in this fashion is your own journey and hes always friendly and ready for a chat. This shop is not for someone looking to buy a Katy Perry CD and walk out. Dont get me wrong, shes a decent singer but you can go to Target for that; this store is for the kind of person whod enjoy backpacking through Europe our trying different restaurants in New York City. Its an adventure in which you start looking for BB King and end up lost in the Beatles. You see some BeeGees over there and before you know it youre walking out with a Tchaikovsky from the 19th century. Its a highly personal, almost spritual journey in a rich environment. Highly, highly recommend this shop.
