We went there on a Saturday night and there was a huge line. We ended up waiting for 25,30 min to get in and order. I tried the dairy free bee’s knees and peanut butter chip and they were both delicious. They make their df versions with coconut milk so be careful if you’re allergic to it. I liked the peanut butter flavor more even though they’re famous for the bee’s knees flavor. Would definitely go back when I’m in the area.

The ice cream is delicious, unique and definitely worth the wait and price. I cant wait to go back to try the pistachio. I had the bees knees and it was amazing.It was a bit crowded, but thats what happens when your the best :)

Had the bees knees and the apple pie with the hazelnut crunch topping, on a waffle cup-cone. Both flavors were great; The apple pie scoop has a chunk of apple pie filling in the middle and the bees knees has honey in it. Hazelnut crunch was OK but a bit overpowering, will probably not add that next time since the ice cream tastes great without it.The honeycomb topping looks interesting but we didnt have it; they also sell that in a standalone pouch so Im guessing its popular among regulars.

Was recommended to try this place while visiting Monterey, and Im glad I did! I had a single scoop of the Bees Knees ($4.50). It was amazing! Nailed the ratio of sweetness, creaminess, and crunch. Do yourself a favor and get the waffle cone. They make them in house and its well worth the extra $1.50. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely coming back whenever Im in the area.

Our hotel is up the street from this place & after reading reviews we decided to try it out. Every mentioned the bees knees ice cream with honey candy topping in a waffle bowl so thats exactly what we got....let me tell you it is really, really good & definitely a must try!

Stopped in yesterday and got a few single scoops. Amazing creativity in their flavors and tons of mix-ins. The employees were incredibly friendly and helpful despite being busy.

DELICIOUS ICE CREAM. I had the apple pie and it was so so good. More of an apple crisp vibe than pie crust mixed in. The kids cookie dough also is very fun and delicious.

The ice cream is sublime. Staff are lovely. They really make your ice cream with care. Would be 5 stars except the service is so, so slow. Waiting 30 minutes plus really sucks the fun out of the experience.

Staff were friendly and helpful, but the ice cream was remarkably average.. and a two scoop sundae cost $9....! Very high price takes it to 3 stars as it wasn’t as good as the hype. May still stop by again for unique/cool flavors.

The bees knees is insanely good

The ice cream at Revival was surprisingly good. Of course everybody has their own preference, but I think Revival was better than Salt & Straw in LA if youre going to compare expensive hipster ice cream spots. Pricey for a single scoop, but minimize the $ by sharing a scoop with a friend (that doesnt have COVID!) since two scoops are a much better value. Will definitely visit again the next time Im in Monterey.

I usually get a few different flavors but with the no sample policy did not want to take the chance of trying something new. Not sure I will make the extra effort to go back again

Fell in love with the Bees Knees flavor!!! I also like how they offer a variety of non-dairy options. This is a must try place. Cant wait to be back in town to go back.

Amazing Banana Caramel ice cream! Quite honestly the best ice cream Ive ever had. Full of banana flavor and not too sweet from the caramel. Perfectly balanced.

This is by far the best ice cream I’ve had in a long time. I tried the bees flavored one and chocolate hazelnut, both of which were really good. But the bees honey one was supreme. I’d love to come back here a million times! I also tried the GF cone, which I was glad they offered, but it wasn’t as tasty.

Favorite ice cream ever, went 3-4 days in a row 😬. 100% get the waffle cone, and the eucalyptus mint was amazing. They have great ice cream sandwiches too. Sandwiches & cones are gluten-free (& no rice/soy). They’re great about answering allergy/sensitivity questions. I never tried bee’s knees or the torched marshmallow topping (they have videos of torching it on their Instagram, looks crazy good) but regretting that now! They do ship orders too :)

Ice cream is oddly fluffy and creamy but so good.I enjoyed bees knees, honey lovers will like it. Line can be long but moves fast.

Chocolate almond coconut ice cream!! Amazing! Salted caramel banana was great too. Can have long waits, but you will often get flavors that you wont get elsewhere like Eucalyptus chocolate chip.

Amazing ice cream. The Bees Knees is their specialty. Its a honey based vanilla ice cream with honey combs. I got basically the classic, single scoop of Bees Knees in their signature cones which they claim are made fresh daily. Very good and very enjoyable. Honestly pretty cheap and comparable to places in the area.

Absolutely incredible ! My wife and I came here 3+ years ago for our honeymoon. We just welcomed our first baby to the family a month ago so I wanted to surprise her with bringing in a 6 pack of the “bees knees” from our favorite honeymoon spot. The first shipment got delayed and melted, they immediately sent us another plus a congratulations gift. Incredible ice cream incredible people and incredible business!

If Revival had 6 stars I’d give them all six. When you walk in the scoop shop, you’re immersed in the scent of buttery waffle bowls. Then when you see (and sample) the unique flavors, you immediately fall in love with this scoop shop. The flavors are rich and refreshing. I had the Coffee icecream with toasted almonds which added the perfect crunch. What a gem.

Attempted to get ice cream from here last week. There wasnt much of a selection when I went, they only had 4 flavors, all of which were vegan. I admire the availability of vegan ice cream, but I wish there was an option for people who dont follow a vegan diet. I was really craving some classic ice cream, maybe next time...

Down visiting in laws and looking over old stomping grounds. Brother/Sister in law suggested Revival. The young ladies were great. The Bees knees was wonderful! Do yourself a favor, go in,eat ice cream and take a stroll! You spirit will love you!

They don’t do samples and are súper skimpy on the toppings. Coffee ice cream barely has any flavor. Overrated.

The bees knees is no joke. So good with chunks of honeycomb and bold honey taste. I am a fan! The waffle cone was crisp and perfectly crunchy also. Would definitely recommend this place 🙂

So during our trip to California we have had some really good ice cream, but this place was the best. The store front and decor are pretty unassuming, with limited seating. But they had a bunch of interesting flavors and the service was great. Now on to the show stopper. I got the Bees knees, which apparently had won several awards, and for good reason. It was easily some of the best ice cream Ive ever had in my life. The flavor, the texture, it was out of control. If you like honey, go just to try this flavor. Thank me later.

Ice cream?! Really!? Absolutely! You can taste the passion, love, and care that goes into every single product that is put out by this absolutely amazing little ice cream shop! Flavors remind you of walking through the farmers market that week since that’s exactly where they get their ingredients and inspiration based on what is in season. Everything they sell is made in house. Have an allergy or dietary restriction? No problem! Anyone with any issue can get a Sunday with toppings here. Have a fruit tree that is producing too much that you don’t know what to do with it? Take it to them and see what a magical delicious creation they can come up with. Amazing!!

I got a sundae with chocolate and pineapple ice cream, whipped cream, coconut powder and hot fudge. Loved the chocolate flavor which was creamy. The pineapple flavor had more like a sorbet texture. I couldnt taste the coconut powder that much, but the texture was nice to try and mix with the ice cream.

Great ice cream. There was a line when we got there and it stayed consistent the whole time ww were there. We had the Bees Knees and the only thing Id do different next time is add some toppings. A little expensive but it is high quality ice cream.

Ice cream is amazing!! The bees knees is really great. But I ended up going with a sundae with the banana caramel ice cream. I loved the toasted marshmallow, however the brownie bits were a little stale, but had good flavor still. The choices for toppings is a little lacking as well but enough to make a decent sundae. The reason for the removal of a star is that the waffle bowl I had was terrible, it was burned and the gf/vegan style did not respond well to the over cooking. This is the primary reason for 4 stars instead of 5, that combined with limited toppings is the main reason for lack of 5 stars.TLDR: Would go back, ice cream is great! Limited topping selection and my waffle bowl was badly burned.

The ice cream here is made out the blood, sweat and tears of the dying bee species. Its great to have though, sometimes i want to run out there and steal entire bee hives to make ice cream with. They also didnt have the marshmello stuff, i went there for that );

I dont think I could say enough good things about Revival! Their Bees Knees ice cream is actually award winning, creamy and delicious with bits of honeycomb and bee pollen, but then you add in a GLUTEN FREE cone and I was in heaven! Its also really affordable for homemade ice cream!

So tasty I went twice! Creative flavors (I got the chocolate peanut butter and olive oil one day, and the Bee’s Knees Rocks another) with a yummy (although delicate) gluten free cone. The confections are just as delicious as the counter ice cream. I appreciate that they use Valrhona chocolate!

Cashless check out. Bees knee sundaes on a waffle is outstanding. Limited inside and out side seating. Parking can be challenging but is is worth making the effort to get your ice cream fix

Most delicious ice cream ever! They always have 4 dairy free options which is amazing! I had the dairy free chocolate praline with caramel sauce and hazelnut crunch. So freaking delicious. Everything is made in small batches with seasonal and local ingredients when they can. If you havent been youre missing out!

Ice cream was really tasty but the vegan waffle cone was not good. I really like a waffle cone with ice cream so I probably wouldnt return simply because I want to eat the cone too and that was not good. But the ice cream was super yummy! I got the cookie dough and peanut butter.

I got a thing that might have been called a Scrumptious Bite? It had a chocolate shell coated in a thick chocolate powder, sort of like crumbs... And it had a piece of honeycomb in the middle!!! It was so good!!! I loved it! Brilliant!

A bit expensive for ice cream, but it’s all local and organic and very delicious! They have a few vegan options (this was a chocolate praline) and even a coconut whip for a topping. They also have freshly made gluten free cones which smell amazing (but aren’t vegan).

We did not actually go to the Revival ice cream place. But we went right next door to a place called Grace. It was a dress store with some wonderful things to look at and view. My cousin was able to buy 6 pieces of clothing for practically nothing and really good quality. The lady behind the counter was absolutely wonderful and as it was October 2nd it wasnt too busy. I did however look over at the ice cream store next door and everybody came out with some wonderful looking ice cream.

I cant get enough of this place. I love the unique flavors so much! The biggest downside is that flavors change very frequently and the high price, but its an absolute treat on a sunny or cloudy day.
